I’m Wes Goldberg, host of Lockdown NBA Daily and Real GM radio and credentialed Heat Media member who covers this team every day. My co-host David Rill is on vacation. So, a solo episode for me today. Uh, we have a ton to get into. We’re talking all things Giannis. Let’s start with this report. Uh, ESPN reporting that Giannis is mulling his future with the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week. The player and his agent, Alex Seraratz, are having conversations with the team and discussing whether his best fit is in Milwaukee or elsewhere. So, that’s the report. We’ll talk about Miami’s best potential uh trade package and the one player who is off the table even in a Giannis trade. We’ll talk about all that here in a second, but let’s start first with how he got here because I think this context matters when it comes to Giannis and thinking about what he wants going forward. And the Milwaukee Bucks are a mess. This, you could argue, started when they waved Damen Lillard and signed Miles Turner, let Brook Lopez go and the athletics Eric Neem, who covers the Bucks for uh for them and has been all over this, uh even reported over the summer that hey, there Milwaukeee’s pitch to Giannis, understanding that this had kind of been brewing for a little bit, questions about Giannis’ future, their pitch to Giannis was, hey, listen, we’re probably not going to contend for a championship this here, but we’ll be competitive. We’ll bring back guys like AJ Green and Kevin Porter Jr. who were playing well for us last year. Ryan Rollins is coming back and he’s taken a leap this year. And that’s sort of and we’ll bring we’ll get Miles Turner and that like getting younger at that center spot. That was sort of the vision that they’re pitching to Giannis. Don’t leave. We’re probably not going to compete for a championship this year, but we’ll be competitive and we’ll start building something for this next era of Milwaukee Bucks basketball, which obviously Giannis would be in the center of. Well, they haven’t even been competitive. The Bucks stink. And this really came to a head Monday night when the Bucks lost to the Washington Wizards. Giannis starts deleting posts that related to the Milwaukee Bucks from Instagram and social media and all this. And then uh it’s all sort of led to this report that now Giannis and his agent is having conversations with the front office about what to do next. And this had been brewing for months now, right? There was the report over the summer that Giannis had maybe approached the Bucks about exploring a trade with potentially the New York Knicks here. um you know the the extension is coming up for him and that’s another big decision that Giannis has to make. So everybody around the league has been looking at this Giannis situation wondering uh is he going to be the next superstar to ask out and if Giannis does ask out that is a superstar of superstars in the middle of his prime. I don’t know that we’ve seen a player potentially available and not including Luca because nobody knew he was available. a a player that this caliber available since Kevin Durant went to the Warriors. What Giannis would mean for the trade market would be huge. And what and him moving in the league would be I mean it would be moving tectonic plates. That’s the kind of player Giannis is even at this stage. He’s 30 years old. Some injury history certainly to worry about for sure. Hasn’t finished the last few playoff series. Is dealing with a calf strain right now that’s going to sideline him two to three weeks. But it’s still Giannis. It’s still Giannis. So that’s how he got here. It was a series of bad moves by the Milwaukee Bucks. Talent misvaluation. When Giannis now looks around that locker room in Milwaukee, I don’t think he feels any type of loyalty. Certainly not the loyalty that he would have felt in 2022 to that championship team. Right. Drew Holiday not there anymore. Chris Middleton not there anymore. Mike Boonhoer, there’s several coaches removed from him. And now when Giannis looks around that Milwaukee Bucks locker room, he’s not looking around there and a I don’t think he s feels the same sense of loyalty to that he did to those guys. And B, there’s no proof of concept that this team can win. So if Giannis comes to the conclusion that hey, the Ryan Rollins and AJ Green stuff is nice, but I need to go compete for a championship, that’s when the trade request comes. And to be clear, and Doc Rivers made this point, and he’s not technically lying when he said before the Pistons game, Giannis has not asked for a trade. Now, we could extend the sentence and say Giannis has not asked for a trade yet. Just because he has not formally asked for the trade doesn’t mean he’s not going to. And that’s why I think a lot of people around the league feels like this is that’s where this is headed. Whether it’s before the trade deadline or in the offseason, I don’t think a lot of people think that Giannis is long for Milwaukee at this point. And Giannis has spent his career, a lot of it saying, I want to be a one team guy. I want to be a Milwaukee Buck for life. And I think that that really matters to him. And I think it’s the reason he’s still there. Frankly, he’s had a lot of opportunities to leave. But he’s always given the Bucks the benefit of the doubt. And for the most part, he’s been rewarded for that, right? They only the one championship, but they’ve been competitive pretty much every year, right, until this year. And I think the Bucks have sort of run out of the benefit of the doubt with this current roster. Um, so Giannis has said for years that he wants to be a Buck for life. Also, over the last couple years, he started saying things like, “I want to be competing for championships every single season.” And like I said, those two things were one and the same for most of his career. Now they’re not. And that’s why I think Giannis is at this crossroads of buck for life or competing for championships every year. And it doesn’t feel like he can have both at this point. And based on Giannis’s comments recently, I think he’s going to want to be competing for championships every single year more than he’s going to want to be a Buck for Life. And that’s why a lot of people think uh that’s why a lot of people are thinking that around the league. Um so that’s how he got here. In terms of the next steps, if Giannis does go to the Bucks and say, “All right, it’s time to move on.” The next step would be list of preferred trade destinations. The New York Knicks will be on that list, if not at the top of that list. There was that report from ESPN a few weeks ago that uh there was even a brief negotiating window between the Bucks and the Knicks over the summer. Still debatable about how serious those conversations were, but Giannis has made his affinity for potentially playing in New York well known. I think he likes the idea of playing for the Knicks, Madison Square Garden, elevating that franchise, all those things. By the way, Knicks are pretty good. And that’s why when you’re looking at this list of destinations for Giannis, what he’s not going to want, and why it was worth kind of going down that path with the Bucks is he’s not going to want to do Bucks 2.0. Wherever he goes, he’s going to want to be traded to a place where he can compete for a championship now, right now, this season, and in the future. That’s what his appetite is. He wants to be competing for titles. This is a this is a guy who is very aware of his legacy and that matters to him. So it not only has to be a place where you could drop Giannis in and that team’s competing, but whatever they trade away doesn’t dilute a championship type of product. And there’s some hurdles for the Knicks, right? They’re $150,000 away from the second apron. Carl Anthony Towns would have to be involved in that deal. Can is Towns the kind of player that Milwaukee wants post Giannis? Could they flip cat to another team and maybe get more assets back? The Knicks only have, I think, one first round pick that they’re able to move plus some swaps because of the Macau Bridges trade. There’s some pieces there. I wouldn’t take the Knicks off the table, but there’s definitely hurdles to them getting that deal done. It’s not easy. The Oklahoma City Thunder have to be mentioned because they’re always going to be mentioned because they have all of the assets and young players that any team in Milwaukee’s uh position would want in exchange for a superstar player. My question is whether the Thunder want Giannis and whether Giannis wants to play for the Thunder based on what we know about Giannis. I actually don’t know that he would want to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder. That he that doesn’t strike me as a Giannis move. Join the team that just won a championship is historically great, has their star player in Shay Gilders Alexander already. That doesn’t feel like a Giannis type of move to me. Giannis wants to compete for championships. I don’t know that he wants to compete for championships like that. I don’t think he wants to quite be that level of front runner. So, with all due respect to the Oklahoma City Thunder, I don’t know that. And and by the way, if Giannis says, “Yeah, I’m not sure about that.” The Thunder can beat every trade package out there because of their assets. I don’t know that they unless they know that Giannis would want to resign there because he’s under contract this year, under contract for next year, but he’s extension eligible and then can be a free agent in 2027. Unless the Thunder know 100% it’s not worth rocking the boat for that. They’re the best team in the league. Like the risk doesn’t match the reward, right? You’re not going to make your team worse for a player who might only be there for a couple of years where you have this entire pathway forward to just be a championship caliber team for the next 10 years if you don’t do this trade. So, I’m just going to take the Oklahoma City Thunder. I’m going to put them over here. I don’t really think that that’s an option. As much as people want to talk about it, I don’t think it’s really an option. Golden State Warriors have been after Giannis for years. they’ll be on this list. Steph and Giannis is a basketball dream on the court as a fit. Um, the Warriors have been not so secretly plotting ways to get Giannis since Kevin Durant left for Brooklyn several years ago. Um, I know when I covered the Warriors, they had internal conversations of would we move Draymond and Klay Thompson into Giannis deal. Now, the Warriors I think are taking off the table a little bit here because they kind of made their move for Jimmy Butler last summer or last season. Jimmy and Giannis make the same money. I don’t think Milwaukee wants Jimmy Butler back for Giannis because then you’d have to reroute Jimmy to a third team and we just as we just saw last trade deadline. Not a lot of takers for Jimmy Butler around the league right now. They could do something like Draymond Kaminga plus PMK and a first or a couple first or whatever they have left. All right. If I’m Milwaukee, it feels like we can beat that pretty easily from some other team. The Mavericks have to be on this list. Jason Kidd coaches the Mavs. Him and Giannis still have a great relationship. So if Giannis says, “I want to play for Jason Kidd again.” and somebody who he credits for getting him to where he is in his career. Um, I think they have to be considered. That would include trading Anthony Davis, multiple teams involved likely of, you know, cuz AD would probably get flipped to another team. It’s complicated, not impossible. Dallas also doesn’t have a ton of stuff to give, but could it something like Anthony Davis going to a third team, assets going back to Milwaukee plus Derrick Lively and Max Christie, could that get them in the door of Giannis? Potentially. The Atlanta Hawks are talked about a lot because they have the Trey Young piece. Could they do Trey Young plus that New Orleans Pelicans slash the best of the New Orleans Milwaukee pick? Could that plus Trey Young? That’s interesting to me if I’m the Bucks. Does Giannis want to play in Atlanta? TBD. And then the Spurs are another team that’s mentioned all the time. The idea of pairing Victor Webbyama with Giannis and just wrecking the rest of the league. Um I understand why that’s interesting for some people. I personally don’t want to see it. I want to see Giannis in a bigger market. I want to see Giannis uh on kind of his ownish kind of team. And mostly I just want to see the Spurs keep Victor Wyama in this this group that they have and let Webby have his own team. But they have a ton of assets first round picks. If they were to include somebody like Dylan Harper or Stefon Castle or something like that, that would get them that would be a very in intriguing package if I’m the Milwaukee Bucks. So they also have to be on this list as well. Um the Miami Heat. The Miami Heat have to be on this list. We’ll talk about that plus what the Heat can offer and which Heat player is off the table next. Today’s episode is brought to you by Door Dash. Thank you for making the Lockdown Podcast Network the number one sports podcast network. The Miami Heat are also have to be considered on Giannis’ potential list of preferred destinations. Why? Number one, the Miami Heat are always on this list, these kinds of lists, right? Like you have the location. It’s not a secret. NBA players and their families love to be and play in Miami. You know, it’s also the track record of the organization, the track record of this franchise, maximizing superstar players, whether it’s LeBron James or even Jimmy Butler, who never won a title, but got further than I think anybody anticipated when Jimmy signed here in 2019, going to two NBA finals within a shot of making three NBA finals. So, the Heat have the track record for a player like Giannis, who is a basketball junkie, who appreciates the hard work and all that kind of stuff. I think that Heat culture stuff would speak to him. But here’s there’s a new reason why the Miami Heat have to be on this list of preferred destinations and it’s Eric Spolster’s revamped offense. It’s the new uptempo scheme. And for a player like Giannis, he is a perfect fit in this new system. And I want to take you back to something that Giannis said a couple of nights ago after a game. He was he’s moving up the all-time leaderboard in and total points scored for his career. And he was asked like, “How high do you think you can get?” and he told a reporter that he thinks he can be the number one scorer all time in NBA history, that he can surpass LeBron James as the league’s all-time scorer. And I think another reporter asked, “Okay, you think maybe you do that in seven, eight, nine years?” Giannis said, “I think I could do it in four and a half seasons.” This is something Giannis has been thinking about. And it’s why I say legacy matters to this guy. And not just competing for championships, but where he ranks among the all-time greats. That matters to this guy. Which brings us back to Miami’s offense. You want to go to a place that can help juice your scoring numbers and accomplish that goal in four and a half to four to five seasons. What about a place with an uptempo scheme averaging more possessions per game than anybody else in the league? That’s a great chance to juice your numbers. a team routinely scoring 120 plus points without Giannis. Imagine that team with Giannis. Giannis is a perfect player for this system. So if you’re Giannis, I think you can look at the Miami Heat and say, “Okay, track record of success. I want to compete for a championship every year. Check. Location me and my family will enjoy. Check. Market check.” And now this new fourth reason that system is a is a system that star players a lot of star players at least including Giannis would love to play in check. So I think the Miami Heat will have to be on this list if we get to a point where Giannis is submitting a list of preferred destinations to the Milwaukee Bucks front office. And at that point it’s up to the Bucks to figure out, okay, we have a list of preferred destinations. We’re going to work the phones and we’re going to get the best offer we possibly can. So, what can the Heat offer in that sense? So, here’s what the Heat have available. We’ll start there. They can trade up to two first round picks, 2029 and 2031. They have the contracts that you’re going to need to get up to Giannis’ $54.1 million. You have to get something close to that in order for salary matching. They have the contracts, Tyler Hero, Norpal, and Andrew Wiggins. You’ll need two of those three guys to be included in a um in a in a Giannis trade. They have the young players, Kaware, Hamakas Jr., Nikolovic, Kasparus, Yakonis, Pella Larson, some good young players. What they don’t have right now is Terry Rosier because Rosier’s contract is still essentially frozen by the NBA as they sort out what they’re going to do uh in regards to the gambling investigation and how they’re going to handle all of this. Right now, Rosier is away from the team and his contract is frozen. There’s nothing that he can do with it. If the if the league were to allow the Heat to include Terry Rosier’s contract in a trade, then that his $26.1 million in expiring salary that could go up there with Hero Pal Wiggins in terms of chunky salaries that they’ll need to include in a Giannis deal. So, I just said it’s two of her pal Wiggins. If the league allows the Heat to include a Rosier contract, then it’s two of hero pal Wiggins Rosier and Rosier is the worst player and and obviously the biggest sort of stayaway of that group in terms of the player. But in terms of a contract, that’s actually pretty interesting if you’re Milwaukee because uh Pal, yes, is expiring, but you probably if you’re Milwaukee, maybe you try to flip him to another team because of his age. And Hero is, you know, he’s not expiring. Wiggins could be expiring, but he has a player option next year. So TBD on what he’s going to do about that. Rosier is a clean expiring salary. If you traded for him, you probably wouldn’t ever bring him to Milwaukee. Probably just let him stay home. I think you probably have to. I don’t depending on what’s going on with this gambling investigation. He’s not going to play for you. In other words, and it’s clean, right? Like the contract just comes off the books. And for the mil a team like the Milwaukee Bucks who are pretty high in in total payroll right now, being able to reset the clock on the luxury tax and all that kind of stuff, that’s that’s something that’s a value to you in a post Giannis world, right? So that’s that part. And then you also have, you know, people locally talking about would the league kind of apologize to the Heat and award them a compensatory pick because of this whole mess with Terry Rosier because Adam Silver has admitted on television, they knew that Terry Rosier was a subject of a federal investigation when the Heat traded for him. So, if the league were to award them in sense in in a sense as an apology, a compensatory pick in 2027 where the Heat currently that’s the pick that they owe the Charlotte Hornets for this Rosier trade. If they were get a pick in 2027, the Heat would go from because of the Steppian rules, they would go from two first round picks that they have to use in a trade to four like that overnight. And that could be a game changer. But we have no idea what the league is going to do. It doesn’t sound like they’re going to rush to judgment here on what they’re going to do with Rosier just because Giannis is potentially available. But if I’m the Heat that I’m making that phone call, I’m like, “Hey, what’s the deal? What do we what can we do with this?” Whether we’re getting the compensatory pick or just the ability to use him in a trade, if he’s frozen on our books or somebody else’s, what’s the difference? If I’m the Miami Heat, that’s sort of my pitch to the lead front office. And if you can get Giannis to a location like Miami, I think that’s good for everybody involved. But whatever. Like that’s just you have to put that off to the side. We can’t include that right now because we have no idea what’s going to happen. Here’s who’s here’s who’s off the table for the Miami Heat in the Yiannis trade. I think Bameabio is as close to off the table as you can get here for a few reasons. Number one, he’s friendly with Giannis. They share an agent. Alex Soratis is both Giannis’s agent and Babes Bam’s agent. And I think the vision for Giannis if he wanted to come to Miami would be to play with Bam, right? That would be the vision. And if you’re Saratis, you’re the agent here. You know that Bam’s legacy in Miami matters a lot. He’s he wants to be a Heat lifer. You’re the agent. You’re involved in this, right? So, there’s a lot of people involved here that want Bam to stay in Miami, including the Heat, obviously, because the vision isn’t to just get Giannis. The vision is to get Giannis and then compete for a title. And like we just discussed, Giannis doesn’t want to go to a team that’s just Milwaukee Bucks 2.0. Bam is the kind of player a player like Giannis would want to play with. And I understand there’s some concerns about the onc court fit. I get that. Right. Neither of these guys are a floor spacer. Now, Bam has added the three-point shot to his game, but I don’t think he’s necessarily respected from three in that way. But that’s important. It’s there. Something worth noting. Um, but defensively they would be a nightmare to play against. And that’s the backbone of an elite defense. And as clunky as it might be offensively, I don’t care because you got Giannis, right? Bam. Plus Giannis, elite defensively. Giannis, elite shot advantage creator on offense. You figure it out. With a player like Giannis’s caliber, fit is overrated. You figure out the fit stuff, right? Luca isn’t a great fit with the Lakers, with LeBron and Austin Reeves. Guess what? That offense is awesome because the talent is just so great that the fit doesn’t matter. You just transcend fit. Giannis is that kind of player. And there’s ways to figure it out. I think Giannis and Bam and Spo are smart enough and good enough and talented enough to figure out the fit stuff. Go find shooting around them. They’ll be fine. Stagger their minutes. They can figure it out. The fit is not a concern. Not a concern here. Don’t even worry about it. Bam. Metabio to me is off the table in a honest trade. So then what would the Heat be willing to offer? Here’s the offer. If I’m the Miami Heat, I think it’s assuming that you can’t move Rosier. Okay, so that’s the assumption here. I think it’s Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins, the two first round picks and Keller. And Keller has to be part of this package for Giannis. The Bucks are going to need a good young player back. And this leap that Keller has made is real. He’s playing consistently. It’s not 20 and 18 every single night, but he’s playing consistently and he’s playing like the guy who the Heat have been looking for for years as a front court partner with BAM. They have that guy. Kaware is the guy. He is the future front court partner with BAM. They have it on the roster right now. It’s not easy to give that up. They would not give it up for 36-year-old Kevin Durant. I think you’d have to give it up to go get Giannis. And if I’m the Bucks, that means that Collo is the kind of young player who has all-star potential in the future. That’s the kind of young player I want back in a Yiannis trade. Plus Tyler Herro, plus Andrew Wiggins, maybe we flip Wiggins to another team, get more assets, the two first round picks. I think that’s a tra I think that’s Miami’s best potential package. Now, you can include some other stuff. Swaps, maybe there’s a Yovic Appropel Larson or Yakonas in there, but that’s the bones of the deal, right? Those are the key elements of the package. And I think that at least gets that gets your proposal not thrown into the garbage bin, right? That keeps you in the stack of other proposals if you’re the Miami Heat. FanDuel, the game moves fast. So can you. Welcome back to Locked on Heat. Thanks for making us your first listen every day. Looking ahead to tonight’s game against the Magic. Let’s take a look at the injury report here. The Heat are dealing with some potential questionable guys in the back court. Tyler Herro questionable with a right big toe irritation. Uh and then Norm Pal listed as questionable with a left ankle sprain. Um Wiggins is available. Haime Hakz is available with as he’s dealing with that groin injury. Um Nikolovic, Kashad Johnson, Pel Larson, all available right now. So really the only questions for Miami, Tyler Herro and Norm Powell. Big questions, right? That’s your starting back court. Uh alongside DaVon Mitchell who’s available. Um, if they don’t have them, that’s that’s tough. It’s going to be tough to compete with this Orlando Magic team. For the Magic, Paliban Carro is questionable. Um, that’s a significant development for the Orlando Magic. Um, the last time these teams played, Orlando beat Miami 125 to 121. That was the opening night of the season. Um, now since then, both teams 7 and three in their last 10 games. These are two of the top seven defenses by defensive rating in the league. And then believe it or not, the Orlando Magic are ninth in offensive rating, better than the Heat at 13th in offensive rating. And offensive rating, by the way, measures points per 100 possessions. So the Heat are top three or whatever in points per game. But offensive rating normalizes across 100 possessions. Essentially, it measures your efficiency on offense. And right now, the Magic, who have been a terrible offense basically since Dwight Howard left, have a better have a more efficient offense than the Miami Heat right now. So, Orlando is average in pace. Miami is obviously number one in pace. So, that’s a key battleground here. Can the Heat get this game played to their tempo? The Heat have been slowed down the last couple games. That Mavericks game in Dallas on Wednesday, they missed a bunch of threes. The Mavericks were running off of misses. They were putting it in the basket and the Miami had to take the ball out of the basket basically every single possession. So, um that was a big reason why they slowed down. Will we see some zone from Orlando? Yes, probably. The other thing that they have to do is keep the Magic off the offensive boards. The Magic are a very good offensive rebounding team. Um they get a lot of second chance points. It’s one of the reasons why their offense is efficient is as efficient as it is. Um, but the Heat since they’ve gotten banned back in the lineup and since Kell Wear has been playing like this, they’ve been a much better defensive rebounding team since then. So, I’m not as concerned about the offensive rebounding stuff as I has been as I have been in the past. Um, so those are kind of the battlegrounds here. And then whether or not Paliban Carro plays, that’s sort of a big deal here, too. Fran Wagner available for the Magic. He’s sort of been on and off the injury report lately. So, we’ll see what happens. The like I said, the Magic beat the Heat in their first uh matchup this season. The Heat are going to want to get it back uh tonight, Friday night in Orlando. That’ll do it for us today. This has been Locked on Heat, part of the Lockdown Podcast Network, your team every day.

  1. Sorry, but Giannis and Ware make more sense than Bam and Giannis looking Foward. I’m not sure Giannis will make that move because Bam Adebayo . 😂 8 years Ago We talk a lot “ Bam is the next Giannis “ and What happened ? 😮 Facts !! 😊

  2. Giannis game will not age gracefully, unless it's a steal like Herro, Wiggs and all our firsts i'm not for it. Not giving up Bam or Ware. I do agree that this offense is tailor made for Giannis though.

  3. Did I miss something or did he not mention his favorite player (Herro) not scoring in the second half? Dude disappeared like it was the playoffs. Come on Wes do better.

  4. I know most Heat fans will deny my take on Giannis compared to Kelel Ware. Giannis is stronger, a little faster and a better defender, but, BUT how can I compare Kelel the 2? Easy, look at the stats; how much better pure shooter Ware is. Ware is averaging more rebounds than Giannis who plays about 6 minutes more. Ware is a great shooter who is passed over by the press like he is an average player. Since Nov 1 Ware shot 38 threes and made 19, that is 50%. Not surprising because while watching him at IU Ware shot 42% on threes; now at 43.6% at threes, 53.6% overall and 81% line. Give the rock to KW

  5. The package for Giannis would leave this team without depth and losing key starters that would be necessary to win against teams like Denver or OKC.

We can be the third team in that trade and getting cheaper valuable vets for players like Jaku and Jovic, I assume bucks would want to rebuild and may prefer young players over vets

  6. Never trade Ware NEVER. He will lead Miami to multiple titles, mark it down. 3-years fron now I expect Ware to average 24pts, 13+ rbs and 3 bks a game. Kelel's great jumper will reap great results with many games of 5 or more threes a game. I would not be shocked if Ware broke out and made 5 threes, took 15 rebs and scored 30 in a game. Won't happen if Bam, Wiggs and Herro won't give the Slender Rim Bender the shots. The best defense is keeping the rock away from Kelel. Trade Bam and Tyler for Giannis and you gotcha title team. Austin Reeves is a better offensive player than Luka

  7. Ware could be better than Giannis in 2 years. He is such a great shooter which is very important. I would make trade Wiggs, Herro and JJJ for Giannis; include however draft picks it takes to win a title cause…… Start Bam Giannis and Ware all and kill the league with defense and rebounding. Herro's pounding the orange to long and he and Bam's unwillingness to pass the rock to Ware has hurt Heat. B ut you trade Ware you'll greatly regret it for a dozen years. I'm making a prediction because of the unwillingness of the coaching staff and Heat players to play Ware and pass him the ball, his season high pts will be 27.

  8. Wasted potential; been following NBA since 1958 and ain't NEVER seen as good of rebounder and shooter as Ware sat down for 23.5 minutes a game. Ain't never ever happened but the "great" coach Spo, so wise he can't read the stats and see how much better rebounder Ware is than Bam and better offensive player too. He shoots about 5% better on twos and threes than Bam. Why is the Captain getting so much run while Ware languishes long stretches on the bench? Might it be Spo is coddles his vets, Wiggs, Bam and Herro; don't want to upset them, so he wastes time to develop Kelel. Trade Ware do him a favor

  9. Honestly I don’t know what’s the deal with him going to the Knicks! They haven’t won anything since forever. No stability. Heat have the city, weather, great team, amazing coach, and stable organization from top to bottom. Simple as that.

  10. Also, yea Knicks are pretty good but I would debate the Heat have been closer to wining another chip than the Knicks. He’s not going to the Thunder. I think the wants to be build something and work for it. That’s why he stayed in the Bucks.

  11. I often say, "If Spo actually hated Ware he wouldn't treat him any worse. " I ain't kidding about playing time; 65 years of watching the NBA I ain't seen nothin like how Spo uses Ware, the most ignored player by Spo and the NBA press. But Ware will rise above it all and continue to improve. How much does he have to improve to meet the 'Make me play you threshold," Spo claims to live by? O he has already far exceed that level of play and still doesn't start. Is there something I'm missing or is this just a coach looking for reasons to not play Ware? Honestly I can't figure it out.

  12. Sorry Heat fans but Giannis is NOT moving to Miami because they do NOT have the players nor the assets that Milwakee wants in order to move him. Boston, on the other hand, is seriously considering trading Jaylen Brown AND picks for GIannis so he can team up with Jayson Tatum who will be balling next season and Boston is in a MUCH better postiion to win a championship after Tatum's return over the Heat who havn't won a ring outside of the presence of D Wade. Now or Ever. FACT. Or, he could also end up as a Knick where he epresssd high interest in playing. Keep dream though, but it's not gonna happen Heat fans.

  13. Wait he thinks he can be the all time leading scorer in 5 seasons?

LeBrons at 42,268 and Giannis is 21,030. Thats a 21,238 point difference. It took Giannis 13 years to almost get to the half way point of LeBron. To get the other half in 5 years would be averaging 52 a night and playing 82 games a year for the next 5 years no injuries.

Why is no one in the comments focused on Giannis saying he cam average 52 ppg a season?

  14. I would love any trade for Giannis, but yes Adebayo is a cornerstone for him joining this team, and it would be amazing and to be fair most likely that Norman wouldn't be included in a trade just because of his age

  15. Giannis + Bam ain’t beating no 15 man OKC deep roster. Sacrificing the future for another 1st round exit is dumb.

It ain’t the 90s & two max players who shoot under 37% from 3 is the dumbest roster construction ever proposed 😂😂😂😂

  16. Hate to break it to Heat fans but even en if Giannis comes to Miami he ain't winning any championship here. We'd have to mortgage all of our current assets and future assets to get him. It's just the truth

  17. Math wise, Mia does NOT need to trade 2 of Herro, Norm, Wiggins and Bam

The math works with Herro, Fontecchio, Ware, Jaquez, Jakucionis

    For Giannis straight up
