They warned me, yet I chose to believe anyways.

  1. This subreddit is kinda losing its mind but every team goes through periods like this especially when playing one of your worst matchups teams are so close in the standings and we have the least games played it’s not the end of the world

  2. TBH it’s not a big deal. This is our 5th season. We are still learning and building. We aren’t Vegas. Obviously, it feels good to win. But ya know it could be much worse. Could be dead last like Vancouver rn. Could have had years upon years of no postseason like Buffalo. IDK not the end of the world.

  3. Mood right now: this team fucking sucks and we’re never going anywhere

Mood on next GameDay at puck drop: we’re never losing again and winning it all

  4. We all wanted to believe, but I’m going back to my pre-season sentiment of “there is no reason why this year’s team is a legitimate playoff team”. There are a lot of pieces that give me reasonable hope for the future and some great potential, BUT we have major scoring issues again and mediocre special teams at best. Love this team and this sport though!

  5. There’s a guy at my work who does not follow hockey at all and has been saying since the start of the season “they’re looking like they’re going to the finals.”
I’ve been trying so hard to gently temper his expectations.
Last night he said “oh man, what happened?” I replied, “what I’ve seen for 5 years! That’s Kraken Hockey Baby!”
Seriously tho, blow up the team. This many coaches, minor tweaks here and there. It’s not working. Got a lot of expiring contracts you can exchange for draft capital. Realistically the only way you can build a team. You’re not doing it in free agency. Especially when every team basically has a billion dollars in cap space with the cap going up. And all the GMs are too chickenshit to do it in trades.
I’m a Kraken Lifer. Gonna be a long few years tho.
