Flyers 25-26 Skater Point Paces Through 12/5

  1. Garnet Hathaway has fallen off a cliff. Thankfully his contract is only for one more season after this

  2. Interesting chart. However, it is has some errors. They are inconsistent in how they calculate numbers and the math just doesn’t work at all for others.

For example, Foerster has 10 goals and 3 assists in 21 games. They put his 82 game pace at 32g 19a 51p. However, his actual 82 game pace is 39g 12a 51p.

    Similarly, Andrae has 1g 5a through 16 games. That is an 82 game pace of 5g 26a 31p. They have 3g 28a 31p.

So, in both cases the goals/assists are off, but the points are correct. After playing with the numbers, however, I figured out where they messed up. For goals, they are taking the proportion of games played so far, and projecting that as their total games for the season. So, Andrae has played 61.5% of the team’s games so far (16 of 26), so his goal pace is over 50 games (61.5% of the season), or 3 goals. It works the same with Foerster. However, they calculate the 82 game points based on the actual 82 game pace, as if they played every game this season at their current pace. That’s why the goals are too low, assists are too high, and points are just right.

I’m guessing someone pulled data from the wrong areas putting this together.

  3. I know Hathaway and DLo have specific roles and they aren’t going to put up a ton of offense, but 0 points in a combined 38 games played looks insane on paper.

  4. The current paces are actually decent. Gotta think a few key guys slow down from current pace. But Michkov will no doubt go up as well.

  5. Drysdale’s play has been disappointing. If this guy isn’t good enough to be a better option on the pp than sanheim then there is no point in dressing him when risto returns
