I couldn't care less about the other stuff, but "average QB" drives me crazy lol. How can you think that

  1. I wish I could find the ESPN Page 2 article from 2002 ranking the worst teams to ever win the Super Bowl. Pats were #1 and the end of the blurb was some snarky line about how they wouldn’t repeat.

  2. I’ve missed this stuff over the last few years. Shows how far back we are that salty fans of other teams are complaining about uncontrollable things.

  3. Josh Allen is already the worst MVP of the 2000s since Lamar deserved to win last year.

  4. No one seems to be taking the Patriots series right now, but only them and The Broncos keep winning. They keep winning in the same way, no matter who they play. They remind me a lot of the season Brady replaced Bledsoe. Same level of respect as that time

  5. His advanced stats are up there with some of the best seasons of all time if I’m not mistaken

  6. You could convince me that last part is true, good season vs bad teams. You cannot convince me this is an average QB. You don’t complete 70% of your passes, make as many tight window throws, be this good on your deep ball with this group of receivers and be average. Pick a struggle, jack

  7. Don’t get me wrong, I hope Maye wins the damn thing. He deserves it. But I’ve found it hard to take the MVP award too seriously ever since it essentially became the Peyton Manning Consolation Award Because Tom Brady’s In The Super Bowl Again.

  8. Way too many posts of “hey look what this idiot in a different sub said” this week. Let’s just focus on the Pats.

  9. He definitely wouldn’t be one of the top mvps ever but he’d be no where near the bottom

  10. I watched that Giants game with my father who hates the Patriots and he was astounded by the throws Drake was making.

  11. The worst MVP of the 2000s is Peyton Manning in 2008. His award in 09 is a close second (clearly should’ve gone to Brees).

Maye winning this year wouldn’t come close to cracking the Top 5.

  12. The fan bases across the league are grasping at anything they can to tarnish this season and Maye. They can’t handle that we only had 3 shitty bad seasons and 2 mediocre ones before it. Some of them are losing their minds.

Not all, of course. People that know ball can see what Maye is, but a good chunk of them are lashing out about any little thing they can.

  13. Nice. People calling Maye average. Giants fans crying about the legal hits. Now just bring on the “complaining about the refs” and we are living the good life this season.

  14. Nothing average about leading the league in completion percentage while also being the most elite deep ball thrower this season

  15. Who is the better QB right now? They never say who deserves it more, just that Maye doesn’t. Okay, why? You’ve got a problem, don’t bitch about it without offering an alternative solution. But you can’t because right now he’s playing better than every other QB in the league. And it’s not dinking and dunking. He’s got the highest completion percentage, close to the most yards and yards per attempt, and has the most wins. Suck it haters, it feeds us.

  16. I get not being sold on him going forward. Who’s to say he won’t be Robert Griffin, Jayden Daniels, Carson Wentz, etc? It’s not unheard of for guys to have unreal seasons and then never be able to back it up.

But you can’t deny he’s played ridiculously well this season, and that’s all the MVP is about. It’s about your play in the nutshell of that year. So i also can’t understand someone watching him this year and not being impressed by how he’s played so far.
