New Giants’ DC Charlie Bullen showed aggression, creativity vs. Patriots
December 5, 2025
I found this to be an interesting read. It was far from perfect, but things I've been screaming about in my head Bullen actually did, which is quite refreshing.

Maye was money on his reads and felt like Pats could do whatever they wanted. They are still lacking in the secondary, which is extremely disappointing due to how much was spent there.
He made sure we didn’t blow another 4th quarter lead.
I think it just says a lot about the personnel of the teams defense in general. Which is a good thing if you don’t want Schoen here anymore. But I’m not shocked a team that already had 10 wins cooked them tbh
Yeap , we notched another signature L
Refreshing ?
How low is the bar for this team? We gave up 33 points in the game and were out of it in the first quarter
Special teams killed us but the first drive when they held the Patriots to a field goal was nice to see. Bowen’s defense would have given up a TD there no question
They gave up 33 points. 30 of them in the first half. Patriots were already on cruise control for the second.
I ain’t trying to hear shit even insinuating any kind of praise. Fuck outta here with this nonsense.
Love Nick, but hard disagree here. Zaire Barnes played like a demon. That’s about it
it didn’t work for the most part but it was nice to see something different tried.
Could we just not be hitting pads? I know Judge tried to and I’m sure Vrabel definitely has his team hitting hard with pads on. Are we that afraid of injuries? Understandable given our track record but interesting to see the difference in results based on coaches’ philosophies. There’s no right answer but we looked soft.
Were they watching the same game I was? 😉
My impression was that it was the exact same defense but worse.
Players getting targeted by Maye all day and not able to tell or react when they were.
From what I seen, Maye had Tom Brady time and wasn’t pressured at all. I feel like the defense for the most part doesn’t care.
Can’t improve the defense in a week, and definitely can’t improve the lack of talent in the secondary (Shoen’s poor drafting and FA performance) … really hope they clean house at the end of the year
Thought he was too aggressive. Kind of highlighted why Shane chose not to blitz.
It’s really unfortunate that it was overshadowed by the creativity of ST’s Charlie Brown 🙁
