Hey everyone! I just want to start by saying, THANK YOU! You all have been so incredibly helpful in researching my dad, Randy Youst, and his career with the Chiefs. Because of your advice, Mike Davidson (the Chief’s historian) reached out to me and confirmed many details that were helpful in my search. I am once again asking for your help.
A very kind redditor offered to help recreate my dad’s 1984 jersey. To do so, I need to find a 1984 Silver Anniversary Chief’s patch. I did some quick googling and didn’t see any for purchase. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can acquire one?
I will keep you all updated on this endeavor, once I have his card and jersey made, I will be framing everything in a shadow box and will share with the group. I’ll also make sure I tell you all his reaction 🙂 this means the world to me, thank you all.

There are a few places that make custom patches for like military flying squadrons and stuff. Maybe reach out to one of them and they might be able to recreate it for you. Google a few and ask around. Some of them might be hesitant to do things that involve copyright stuff, but other ones kinda look the other way so just explain your story and I’m sure somebody would hook you up
I’m not seeing any for sale but there are people on Etsy, and probably also people local to you, who can make custom patches with embroidery machines.
I’m a graphic designer, i can see about creating this in vector format so that it can be sent for embroidery. The Diameter would be a good piece of info to find out though.
I’ve go no help on the patch front, but just wanted to say this is an awesome endeavor and I’ll be watching it closely. It’s awesome that the club historian reached out to you. Keep us updated and good luck!

This is a Jets version that is 4.5”, and looks very similar, I wonder if that is historically accurate sizing. But perhaps they could answer questions about it, too
