Kinda surprised to see him get claimed ngl. I know he struggled a lot but I still thought the Giants might try to keep him around a bit longer.
Just curious what everyone thinks — did we give up too soon or was this just the right time to move on?

Huh? Claimed BY the Pirates or claimed FROM the Pirates? What team is he actually on now?
He is out of minor league options, and they clearly figured that he was not going to make the major league roster. So may as well open a space on the 40 man roster now..
