We were in there for hours, man. It’s We were sweating shirts. That would that would go to the grave for both of us or who won. But uh what would you say was the most poignant or most important sort of tidbit you picked up from going against Kobe and being around him during the Redeemed Team experience? Well, his work ethic is legendary, but I learned how funny he was. I I I had a front row seat to his life more than most. Honestly, we were like brothers. But I learned quickly what made him great. Long story short, I get an epiphany with my trainer to get up in the morning to lead by example and get to the weight room. I get up at 5:00 in the morning. I get to the gym, Kobe was already there. And he looked at me like, “Where you been?” I was like, “Sleep. It’s It’s 5:00 in the morning, brother.” And he was obsessed with being great. Me and him used to go to the gym by ourselves and work out together with our trainers. That was my guy, man. I miss him. Talk about that papa shop competition. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We were in there for hours, man. It’s We was sweating. Literally hours, Mike. Hours. Hours, hours, hours. Chris, there was a tremendous amount of respect for each other because neither one of us wanted to quit and give up. That’s funny. The team had left. Chris Bosch came back two hours later saw me and Kobe going at it. But sweating, sweat. They said sweat, sweat, and pulling down. Listen, God rest his soul. That would that would go to the grave for both of us who won. But uh it was one of the greatest times of my life athletically. Uh, by far.
