i agree but it’s absurd that losing the last 4 games has any impact on your decision at gm

And I want us to win some games to build some momentum into next season. Winning culture > higher draft pick when we already (hopefully) have our QB in dart

This fanbase really needs to relearn the definition of tanking.
Tanking actually requires you to have some ability to win but you chose to lose anyway.
This team has 0 ability to win.
Take the patriots game for example. They aren’t the most talented defense but when they attack they tackle violently on every single play. I don’t think I can recall a single violent tackle from our team all year. The giants play the softest form of tackling of any team.
I never thought of tanking to get rid of schoen. Much better reason to tank. I still kinda wanna experience another couple wins though.
I want the team to start to learn how to win again and start to build some kind of winning culture.
Until that happens, it doesn’t matter who the coach, GM, or owner is.
I really believe that he was told he was done before the press conference. Just the way his voice sounded and how he responded to questions. Even if the Giants win each of the remaining games by 35 points, I would be shocked to see him stay.
We are the same. Both are true at the same time…
These things do not have to be mutually exclusive. You can want the result for both reasons. What I would prefer though are to still have games where they play well and show signs of hope, but still lose.
I want to win because these players deserve it. Especially the ones who bring it every game. I want wins because our rookie quarterback said momentum matters, even going into the off season!

These games have nothing to do with whether Schoen gets fired or not. The new head coach has everything to do with whether he gets fired.
For all you know they already decided to fire him before hiring a coach but they just don’t want to do it in season.
If true it’s insane that the last 4 games decide a GM’s fate. I agree with everyone on that sentiment. Just doesn’t make sense. What can you possibly learn with 4 games left at this point.
The Giants should be very open to trading their top pick to a QB desperate team for extra high end draft picks.

We’ve got players to evaluate and lets see some wins to actually have an idea what works and who should stay. There is like this human psychological quirk that wants the mystery box of promise rather than work on what they actually have in hand.
