  5. Just remember that what he says in the media and what he says in the locker room are completely different. I highly doubt he’s coddling the team saying how proud he is after that effort

  6. Darko needs to go. There is 0 accountability, and when the team plays like dogshit he says he’s proud. Proud of what, losing 4 of the last 5 games? This team has looked lifeless in both games against Charlotte, and against the Knicks. People will try to make the “oh, it was a b2b” or “RJ was missing” excuses, but good teams do not lose these games. We are not a good team, and it starts with the coaching staff.

  9. It’d be one thing to say they say this if they were on the road for this game but they were at home. Inexcusable effort tonight from most of the team.

  10. The comments here are stupid. Whether Darko is soft or not to the media has no bearing on their play. If anything, harsh coaches get tuned out faster by players whenever seasons get tough.

  11. This is why he’s an assistant coach not a head coach. They fly on private jets. Have all the care in the world. Don’t play hard and keep making escuses. Mediocrity it is.

  15. I get that Darko is a players coach but it was an embarrassing effort. There is no excuse for Poeltl to play the way he did. There is no excuse for Ingram to chase after an airball going out if bounds only to save it to the hornets for a back breaking 3. There is no excuse for allowing 33 foul shots to the hornets and committing 19 turnovers at home. IMO, good habits are built through accountability.

  16. We need a real coach after this season who will start to hold the players accountable. Darko was brought here to develop players but we’ll need a an actual x’s and o’s coach to get us over the top.
