BLOCKBUSTER Miami Heat Trade Rumors On Giannis Antetokounmpo & Kawhi Leonard
[Music] Welcome to the heat report by chat sports. I am Nick Rolloff. We got some blockbuster heat trade rumors to discuss following heat magic on Friday night and it’s all about Giannis Anthony Kmpo and yes, Kawhi Leonard. We’ll start with Giannis and we’ll get to Kawhai on the second half of today’s video. So, make sure you stay tuned for that. But all eyes have been on Giannis since he made that soft launch trade request just this past week. But then he gets hurt on Wednesday with a calf strain. Some people feared it was going to be an Achilles injury. But I do want to calm people in case you were not aware. On Thursday it was reported officially that it was just a calf strain for Giannis. So disaster adverted here. So, no Achilles tear, but Giannis will be out of lineup for two to four weeks. Likely probably on the four-week side because they’re not going to rush Anton Koopmpo back with them having such a poor record that being Milwaukee obviously in trade talks. They don’t want to reinjure that calf because it could being weakened result into an Achilles tear. So, they’re going to play it safe. But we’re talking more about Giannis here because there has been a consistent kind of focus, if you will, about Miami being an ideal landing spot for Giannis Anthony. There have been multiple analysts talking about how a heat Giannis trade makes a lot of sense and it could be a perfect fit, ranging between Bill Simmons, Jake Fiser, even uh Zack Low, and even our good old friend Kevin O’Connor. Like there has been a lot of chatter between Miami and Giannis from NBA analysis and I wanted to take a look at what Jake Fischer said because this is what I’ve been trying to say for the most part about how the Heat have a compelling trade offer for Giannis and what it would look like. Jake Fischer says a hometown kid and hero KL wear himez and draft picks. they’d have been withholding their full offer they could have used for Dame KD knowing someone such as Giannis could reach the market. That to me is a super interesting outcome that could ultimately happen. And that’s what I’ve been trying to say. Like if the Heat make a trade for Giannis without a question, Heroear are gone and likely Haimemehakez Jr. as well, which I don’t have any issue with. I like I don’t have a single issue. And the people that say this is too much to trade for Giannis, I don’t think you guys. It’s freaking Giannis Antinako, a multi-time MVP, a finals MVP, a top three player in the NBA right now, and a top 30, top 40 player in the history of the game. Like I have no problem trading Khal Wear, Hawz, Tyler Herro, and Draft Capital to get him paired up with Bam, potentially Andrew Wiggins, Norman Powell, and DaVon Mitchell. I mean, I think the people that have an issue with that are ludicrous. But the point I’m trying to make here is Miami has a really compelling offer. Like, what would you rather have if you’re a Bucks fan or a member of the Bucks front office? Young assets hero 25 wear 22 and ascending looking like a star which we’ll get into here in a second. Hawz who looks like a six-man of the year candidate most improved guy and two unprotected first round picks or would you rather have a Knicks package of a veteran Carl Dy Towns who is a bum and not a contributor to winning basketball and one first round pick in 2026? Like I just don’t understand why they would choose the Knicks package unless Jiannis says I’m only going to play for the New York Knicks, but it has not been relayed that that is the case anymore. Could have been in the offseason, but not anymore. More coming here in a second, but this man right here, Tyler J. Smith, the host of the Warriors and Celtics channel here at Chat Sports, said that he stunk and we couldn’t get over 300 likes on today’s show. Can we please prove him wrong? Hit that thumbs up icon here if you love the Heat and prove Tyler Smith wrong. I mean, we’re filming this on Friday afternoon before the Heat Magic game, so maybe these numbers have changed to a degree, but where this season has blossomed into a star and his ability to showcase so much talent, not only now, but in the long term, is huge for the Heat in their pursuit potentially of Giannis Antthony Coopo or other allNBA guys that could become available on the trademark. Cough cough Anthony Edwards if that ever happened because he really does look like a special player that you can build around at seven feet 74 and a half wingspan shooting the three ball really effectively. He went four for five from beyond the ark on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks. Like not only is where development important and key for the Miami Heat success, but it’s a two-fold situation. Him blossoming into a star is good because Miami has him obviously and can utilize that to help their winning efforts, but it also makes him very enticing for other teams to want him and he could be maybe the most valued member of a tradeoffer. Like who knows if the Heat offered that exact package we talked about for Giannis, maybe the Bucks are looking at it and says, “Yeah, where’s the most prized guy?” Everyone knows if the Heat trade for Giannis, KL Wear is going to be in the deal. That is the number one thing the Milwaukee Bucks are going to want for Miami outside of the two first round unprotected picks in 29 or 31 or 2030 or 2032. And I got no issue trading Tyler Hero either. I know a lot of people are attached to Tyler Herro just like KL Wear. I am someone who values the betterment of the Miami Heat. And to get a player like Giannis, I’m training either of them. No issues had if I’m getting Yiannis Antonoopo and especially with Tyler Herro who is extension eligible. Obviously can’t get paid until the off season at this point because the Heat didn’t extend him in October, but he’s due for an extension. He is an ascending guy, but he’s got a lot of injuries, dealing with another toe injury here. He’s only had one year of all-star level play and staying healthy last year. And I just don’t know if I’m ready to commit 40 $50 million to Tyler Herro. So if I could trade him and where to get Giannis, hell yeah, I’m doing that. But what say you? Are you going all in for Giannis Anthony Kmpo? Type Y for yes or type N for no. Let me know your thoughts down in the comments section. Pin comment on today’s episode. Now, there is a little bit of rumors here that this might happen in the off season. So stay tuned for that. We’ll have more updates as the story progresses here. But there was a report from Mark Stein that maybe the Bucks wait till the off seasonason to kind of open up the bidding to allow other teams to have more trade picks at their disposal. Obviously, another pick would be unlocked to be traded to Milwaukee in the off season when the 2033 pick becomes available because you could only par or pick or trade a pick as far as 2032 at this point. So, there is some buzz that maybe the Bucks wait until the offseason to trade Giannis because they can recoup more draft capital that way. Miami obviously would be able to trade a third first round pick rather than the two they have. So, who knows? We’ll have to keep an eye on that. But what about another trade target? Because there’s been some speculation that the Clippers will blow it up with how much they’ve struggled this season and Kawhi Leonard be on the move before the February trade deadline. And multiple publications like Yahoo Sports as well as Clutch Points and Brett Seagull have labeled Miami as the ideal and number one trade destination for the veteran Kawhi Leonard. And I do think it makes sense for the Clippers to trade Kawhai because they’re terrible. The Heat have already played him twice and beat him twice in LA and at home. Obviously, Kawhai looks really good this season when he’s been on the floor, but that team is six and 16 as of filming this and clearly not going to make the playoffs. They need to start prioritizing the future rather than the now because they’re currently not going to win now with how bad this team has been, how many injuries they’re facing, and the dominant Oklahoma City Thunder Nuggets and um uh Spurs and Lakers right now. So, I think the Clippers blow it up and maybe the Heat trade for Kawhai, which we’ll talk about here in a second. But this episode is brought to you by Prize Picks. Now, we’re gonna talk about a Kawhi Leonard trade here because I am a little bit skeptical of Kawhai for a couple of reasons. Not only his age and contract and obviously his durability concerns. Like, you look at Kawhai, he’s 34 right now. He only has one year left on his contract past this season for $50.3 million in 2627. So, maybe there is a positive there. Like, you’re not committed for three years. you’re only having him for his age 34 season after the deadline potentially and his age 35 season and 26 27 and you might not have to commit to him with an extension if you don’t want to. But who knows, maybe he requires it if he wants to get traded and could sit out. You never know with the superstars these days. But when he’s on the court, he’s been phenomenal this season. Now, he’s only played in 12 games, so he’s missed some time this year, but he played really well against Miami, especially in that second half on Wednesday. And we’ve seen him ball out this season, averaging 26 points on 50% shooting, 40% from three. And is he as dominant as a force defensively as he was when he was younger and with the Raptors? No, I wouldn’t say that. But he’s still very crafty and an elite defensive player, I would still say. Now, the games played is obviously a concern because he only played 37 games last season, but he has played between 50 and 68 games a year since 2020. Only played 12 this season. So, yes, that is a concern. But Kawhi Leonard, when he’s on the floor, has been absolutely elite. Now, when it comes to Kawhi Leonard, I’d consider trading for Kawhai because he would clearly elevate us. And if you send the right package, which I’ll talk about here in a second, you clearly will have a chance to compete for a title this season, next season, and you probably would be the favorites in the Eastern Conference as long as the Knicks did not land Giannis Antinmpo in a trade themselves, respectively, before the trade deadline. But I want to make it clear, I’m not offering a lot for Kawhai due to the durability concerns, the age concerns, and the contract. Like this is all I’m willing to offer for Kawhi Leonard. And I think Brooke Lopez coming back to Miami would be very beneficial as well to be a veteran for KL Wear. A third big in case Miami needs a third big due to injury or just plays a really large team. Could be vital in a sevename playoff series potentially. And it also makes the money match for Andrew Wiggins, Casper Siakonis, Tara Rosier, and an unprotected first round pick. I’m not trading both unprotected first round picks that Miami has in the future for Kawaii. I don’t think that’s worth it whatsoever. I would trade one of them though. And I would trade the first round pick that Miami just had this year, 20th overall in Casper versus Yakonis. Obviously, Wiggins would make sense because you need that $28 million contract he has and you’re replacing him by going after Kawhi Leonard. And then you would utilize Terara Rosier’s expiring contract. Maybe that would be beneficial for LA to kind of help clear their books a little bit, if you will, getting that $26 million expiring for them this off season. I think maybe that’s good enough value. I’m not sure though. Like I’ll be abundantly clear from Miami’s aspect of it. That is all I am trading. I’m not giving up Hawz. I’m not giving up Yoic. I’m certainly not giving up Kel Wear. Not doing it. So to me, I think that’s as far as I would offer for Kawhi Leonard. This is just a simple matter of the facts. But let me know your thoughts. Would you accept this deal? Would you trade for Kawhai sending the package I have of Wiggins, Rosier, Yakonis, and one unprotected first round pick? Get down in the comments section and let your thoughts be no. Now, I I I obviously said I would do it. You question the fit, though. Even though I would do it, the fit is questionable, especially this year, right, with the Miami Heat uptick in offense. like is Kawhi Leonard going to be able to play at the pace and p or the pace and speed that Miami is currently playing at for a long-term season? No, probably not. So, you’d have to be very careful with the your play style on the court when he’s there. you’d have to be careful giving him rest days, but you just think about his fit actually in the starting lineup and when the pace slows down like replacing Andrew Wiggins with Kawhi Leonard is crazy. Having a potential lineup of Hero, Powell, Kawhi, Bam, and KL Wear is crazy. DaVon Mitchell, Powell, Hero, Bam, and Kawhai. Crazy. like the different combinations that you could come up with utilizing Kawhi Leonard is kind of insane. Which is why it’s a calculated risk, but if you’re serious about making a move to go over the top to try to win an NBA Finals in the next couple of years, maybe it’s a deal you look out to make. And we’ll continue to have you covered every day with Miami Heat content, whether it’s injury news, trade rumors, or watch parties. So, hit that sub button and join the family. [Music]

Giving up Ware makes my stomach hurt, but it's Giannis tho…
you people need to realize Pat Riley is going to do nothing at his old age with blockbuster trades. Those days are over

Incoming 30 daily videos revolving around “should the Heat trade for Giannis?”
The same message will be reiterated every single day.
Herro, Ware, and Jaime is not enough money going out for Giannis. So I think its Wiggins, Herro, Ware and 2 # 1 picks.
Giannis wont waste another year with Bucks if he really intends to leave.
viable trade for kawhi 👍
Y
Too much
What if Bucks would want, Ware, Wiggins, Herro, Powell and Davion? Plus 2 1st round picks? Would you still pull the gun in the trade? 😂
What a coincidence that Herro got hurt as well almost at the same time Herro is a Milwaukee kid food for thought
Miami wont do that. Put all your hopes on giannis he gets hurt your fuvked. Teams are looking to build thier franchises with young talented players that they develop and buy in culture wise through the draft. Teams 11-12 players deep like we have now. No more wale huanting no more big free agent signings. New era of basketball has already started. Plus i dont think a Giannis, Norm, BAM, Off night, wiggins that team not beating the thunder anyway. So whats the point… trading your young gems?? NAh
😊😊we need ball handler point Guard as Miami heat we don't need expired players like clippers and bucks both done their deals and both struggling
J.morant is available
Trae young is available
We can trade for
Herro/Terry rozier/jovic period
Kawhi can still ball. I'd do Wiggins, Jovic and a pick for Leonard
Herro, Nikola and Wiggins! Not ware or Jaime.
No thanks not ware, ware is untouchable, hero, Wiggins jovic
Sigh.. Here we go again… Sick and effing tired of it
Giannia fo anyone. Kawhi not one with top tier potential
This guy is secretly a bucks fan
Who would you trade for him? I don't like it! I like ware and Hero, get rid Wiggins. But no, I don't except the trade.
Herro, jovic and rozier .. I'm all good
Dont do it, where is Burnt player hes best is behind him, Heat have a Fun Team with a Future.
The problem with the pace of this offense is I don't think it will work in the playoffs. The game always slows down come playoffs. That's why jimmy had so much success. We will see tho
I hate you sometime wen you stay saying you willing to give up everything for one guy.. giving that much up for him dont make us no better .. stop talking sometimes 😮
Neither one of them noooo
THIS CHANNEL JUST LOST MY SUBSCRIPTION ON THIS VIDEO ALONE, HE HAS GONE CRAZY , TRADE THE NEXT ALONSO MOURNINGS FOR THE “FREAK LESS” GA NONSENSE , NOT EVEN MENTIONING JAQUES JR AND HERRO
Best trade for the Heat would be Bam, Nikko, and picks.
Why is Bam off limits in Gannis trade. What front office wouldn't trade there 3rd best player "Bam" for the leagues 3rd best player.

Tough loss last night
Ouch Kasparas . I understand the logic tho
I want Norm, Herro, Giannis,Ware, Bam & Pelle. Trade Jaime, a pick , Jovic, Kasparas,Mitch & Wiggs
If you want to pay 50mill to a player always injured go ahead.. you was here last year saying how Wiggins didn't play in half the games he played and complained.. kawhi is extremely injury prone..
Giannis would be good but first let's see how this year plays out.. and if it looks like Miami is not where we thought they would be then they can assess it in the off-season.. I'd try and keep ware at all costs
first of all, we are doing great and Milwaukee is not. We don't owe them any favors despite the fact that Giannis is Giannis. Also, giannis is great, but hasn't show anything since 2021, so he is not Jordan, and giving Herro will be something we will do, but not Ware. We can offer Tyler, Rozier the G league center and 2 FRPs. But that is as far as we will go.
No
I rather get Kawhi as a elite defender, and send Tyler, Rozier and 2 FRPs to the clippers than give away our incredible great future for a guy that might or might not be here.
and the bad part? The Heat has to to ALSO SIGN Giannis USELESS 2 other brothers, which will take spots on the bench unrightfully so…
If you aren't willing to trade Bam, then you aren't serious about getting Giannis. You can flip Herro plus others for Markkanen and thats be a better sweep up.
Tyler and Terry for Trey Murphy III and Dejounte Murray.
We help them get off Murrays contract, and get back a similar scoring threat to Tyler. Can shoot deep 3s, would fit perfect in our system as a read and react driver. Adds size and rebounding to our starting lineup, and defense/rim protection beyond what Herro can provide.
Keep picks and depth. Take in a bad but playable contract in Murray, to keep the cost down.
Pels can either reroute Tyler for similar stuff they’d get for Trey bringing in a 3rd team if they don’t want to keep him and kick $30 million off their books.
Trey is no Giannis, but he is an excellent player ascending that fits what we do and adds some stuff we need. He’s a midrange shot away from being a legit #1 option.
