Things just took a SURPRISING turn…

Things just took a surprising turn for the Toronto Blue Jays as some wild. New reports have just dropped surrounding Bo Bashed that has fans not only very intrigued, but not many saw this coming. Going to break down those reports, but also discuss some big updates surrounding Bo regarding his future in Toronto from Jeff Passen and some other reporters. And these are some very encouraging reports you’re going to want to stay tuned till the end for as well as a ton of updates including some surrounding the trade market, Kyle Tucker and the relievers. Ton to go over today, folks. Before you’re going to do it all, if you’re a part of the percentage who aren’t subscribed to the channel, it’s the place to be for daily Jays content. You guys have been an absolute beast with the support. Folks, a lot to go over today. And obviously, the Jays are I mean, we’re now just a couple days and every team, not just the Jays are two days away from the winter meetings beginning in a couple days here on Monday and things are really going to start to pick up. But folks, new report dropped last night that is little, you know, a little bit surprising here for the Toronto Blue Jays and other teams. You can see this here. The Red Sox are considering Bo Bashette as a potential alternative to ressigning Alex Bregman Purr, two of some of the most reputable reporters in the business, Will Salmon and Ken Rosenthal. Now, we do have some positive updates to go over today, but this one is quite interesting because couple weeks ago, I had a video covering this. Ken Rosenthal, I believe it was, briefly mentioned Bobette and the Red Sox having ties, especially if they don’t go after and trying to resign Alex Bregman. And the full report is this from Ken Rosenthal. Retaining free agent third baseman Alex Bregman is a priority for the Red Sox, but some with the club view Bo Bashette, previously division rival with the Toronto Blue Jays as an intriguing alternative. And goes on to say that even though his defensive metrics are among the worst in the majors, teams still see him as a viable shortstop according to people briefed on his market. So I mean the Red Sox are linked now. And Rob Bradford first mentioned the possibility for Boette for the Red Sox last month. Pete, Alonzo and Schwber are among others that the Red Sox are considering. But folks, this one is interesting because you hate to see this, but also there is some interesting storylines here. So, let’s start with the fact that I mean Bow and Boston. That would be obviously a nightmare scenario. And I think when I asked you guys in the live stream and in the videos, who you would prefer in a nutshell, Kyle Tucker, or Bobette? I mean, a lot of you guys say Kyle Tucker, and that’s kind of where I’m at. You know, if you had to choose one or the other, but the idea of Bobette leaving and joining an AL East rival would be a nightmare. Now, does that mean the Jays probably get Kyle Tucker if Bobette goes? Like potentially. But him joining the Red Sox, it would make sense from the Red Sox point of view, especially if they aren’t bringing Alex Breman back. Of course, they have Trevor Stories and playing shortstop. They can move B to second. They can I mean, they can do all these different things, right? I mean, I I wouldn’t move Bo to third or anything like that, but maybe you move, you know, there’s a lot of different things here. You see here Marcela Meyer presumably with man third base and Bashette could play second. You keep story at short. So, and of course, Marcel Meyer, their top prospect, or one of their top prospects, rather. It’s not super encouraging that now Ken Rosenthal has reported this. At the same time, though, we do have a ton of other reports to dive into that are a bit more encouraging, but this is a surprising turn just for the Red Sox to actually be involved this close to, you know, his decision. Now, his decision could be during winter meetings, it could be at the end, could be, you know, later on beyond that. But again, as it stands right now, they need one of the bats. Now, something else that happened is that Keegan Madison recently dropped an article saying that all eyes are on Bo Bashett and he was kind of diving into a bunch of different reports. I want to start with this and a bunch of different things. So, Bashett has said the same thing all along that he wants to be in Toronto. I’ve said I want to be here from the beginning. He said hours after game seven, but he dives into some very interesting points. Says, “Factor fiction, hometown discounts.” And Keegan Matson makes it very clear that Bo will not be taking any hometown discounts because 99 times out of a thousand money talks and money wins especially when we’re talking deals for Bo Bette. And regarding the amount of deal or the amount of money sorry he would receive in a you know deal 8 years 200 million 8 years 212 million something like that would be on the table here. So, it is a lot of money, but at the same time, Keegan Matson, if you watch my stream or my video, my show with him, and you watch a lot of the reports that are coming out, it seems like he wants to stay a Jay. And Keegan Matson has been very adamant about that, which is obviously a good sign. But you pair that with John Haymon just a couple days ago, and I covered this in my video a couple days ago, or maybe it was yesterday, I believe it was. He said, “While Bashett’s market isn’t moving much, a return to Toronto makes the most sense.” So, this is another reporter. Now he’s obviously, you know, Heymon is a big Boris guy, but regardless, he still has a lot of intel. He’s saying Bashette to Toronto makes the most sense. So it seems like despite, you know, the fact that there is some rumblings about him going to Boston, it seems like the Jays, at least for now, have Bob Bashett as a number one priority, but it’s very interesting. And the biggest turn and surprising turn out of all this is kind of their actual desired interest and or rather super serious interest in Kyle Tucker because I thought they were mainly going to go after Bob Bashette but if they’re going for Kyle Tucker and they can’t get both which I think they still can but Ben Nicholson Smith has made it clear that he doesn’t think they can get both it makes things interesting but you even look back to Jeff Passen’s report from earlier this week and he said that you know Bett is the best bat available behind Tucker and Schwarber but he says going back to Toronto is the most obvious outcome but in the end Bett’s willingness to move off shortstop will buy him significantly more interested teams in a deal that because of his age 27 could approach 200 million. So multiple reporters now Keegan pass and all these things are hinting and especially most recently John Aemon hinting Bobette returning to Toronto but you can’t really and it’s very good news but you can’t really you know mark other teams out of this whether that be I mean the Dodgers or whether that be in this case you know the Boston Red Sox the longer it goes the more teams that are going to be involved but at the same time I mean I’m sure a lot of teams out there will want to give Bobette a smaller term to see what he can do but it is it is interesting And we even think back to four days ago when Jeff pass said they’re not done. They’re going to get a big bat too. Whether it’s Bette, Bellinger, Tucker, they’re going to get somebody else. But now it’s a matter of okay, if they don’t get Bette, we do have to worry about him potentially going elsewhere and going to a team like the Boston Red Sox, which would be the worst outcome. Now, if he goes to the Red Sox, we know there’s been a ton of reports about Kyle Tucker going to Toronto. Maybe it’s because and maybe this report is dropping because of the fact that, you know, the Jays visited Kyle or Kyle Tucker visited the Jay’s facilities. Maybe that’s the number one priority now. They brought in Kyle Tucker. They think there’s a good chance they get him. So maybe reports are starting to come out to put some pressure on the Toronto Blue Jays. And for Kyle Tucker, Jeff Pass said it could stretch into the new year potentially, which of course would be, you know, the end of this month rather than next week. So there’s a lot of moving pieces here. But at the end of the day, the Jays are in a very good spot to do something big. They’re obviously in on a ton of relievers. A lot of things coming, but this was an article recently dropped by Mitch Bannon of the Athletic Jays Reporter. He kind of goes over a bunch of different scenarios that could happen here for the Jays and this is one of them. And it’s of course adding now Bobette and then another, you know, relief pitcher and Tyler Kingley. But he projects Bobette at 8 years $212 million. And he also goes on to say that, you know, bringing back Bette is the cleanest way for the Jays to polish off a busy off season. So, let me know down below. Would you be happy with this off seasonason? You can see here it’s ceased Cody Pon, two guys they’ve already gotten. Bob Bashette returned and Tyler Kinley. Would that be enough for you guys to be happy? You’re basically bringing back the same team as you did last year batwise. Um, you add a really good two really good starting pitchers, one, you know, better than the other and Dylan CE. And then, of course, Tyler Kinley who is a fine reliever, right? And you add a little bit there. I’d like them to go a bit bigger in the relief, you know, pitcher market if they’re going to, I guess, only bring back Bobette. There’s a world they miss out on Kyle Tucker and Bobette, right? But I feel a little bit spoiled because of what they’ve done so far this off seasonason. This is a very good offseason. Let’s say B+, you know, A minus. But if you can go out and actually really spend big of course there, you can see here their opening day payroll is just or to just below the fourth competitive tax CBT threshold is 304 million. Only the Dodgers and the Mets surpassed that last year. So to stay under that, they would have to get creative in addressing other areas of need, which is why they in this hypothetical aren’t spending that extra bit of money on a reliever and you’re getting a one-year $3.5 million deal for Tyler Kinley. So it really comes down to are the Jays going to spend big. It seems like they will. But when you have Bob Bashett, you know, with the opportunity to get him back, you do it. But also Ken Rosenthal reporting that now the Boston Red Sox are among among teams going after Bobette who’s an absolute beast. Thank you guys for watching, folks. you there.

  1. Absolutely 0 teams look at Bo as a shortstop. That his team is wanting him to get paid at a premium position cause it pays more. Stop with the stupid reporting. Top dollar is the only thing that's important to Bo not loyalty!

  2. Bichette, a closer and another 7 or 8th inning guy to go along with Hoffman, Garcia and Varland. Woild be how I would like them to finish the offseason.

  3. Bo is a guarantee to resign with Toronto for a fair deal. Tucker is a pig in the poke & no guarantee he will sign with the Blue Jays regardless of whether Bo goes or stays. You know what Bo brings as a guarantee whereas others are an unknown quantity once they change teams. Look at Santana & others over the years.

  4. They should be all in for both Bo and Kyle. They got around 45 mil off the books this year(including Bo), and got 50 mil world series money. Next year they have close to 90 mil coming off if they don't extend Varsho or Lauer. They could have a good 8+ year dynasty

  5. Boston’s talk about being interested in Bichette as a replacement for Bregman, and the talk about the Jays maybe preferring Tucker over Bichette, is negotiating leveraging 101. A time tested way for teams to try and get their targeted player to settle on a contract that’s more agreeable to the team by leaking to the media that they’re entertaining the idea of going with someone else. Or in the Jays case, that they may only be able to afford Bichette or Tucker but not both, when they can clearly afford both.

  6. Sign both Tucker and Bichette, Rogers and I'll subscribe Sportsnet+ for 14 years. I mostly watch the sad sack Leafs.Throw in Diaz and I'll subscribe to your phone plans and upgrade a phone every 3 years too. I interchange with Koodo and Telus. Your cal. Lol°°°°

  7. I would love to have Tucker & Bichette on the Jays. But if they can't sign both, get at least one of them. Worst case scenario is the Jays lose out on both.

  8. Jays need to address Gausman 36 UFA, Bieber 31 UFA & Berrios opting in to ace money because of decline. As of now the Jays rotation for next year is Cease & uncertainty. I think Jays want another pitcher, a lefty for the top end of the rotation. They manage to sign Tucker I think they trade Barger to KC for Ragans or Nationals for Gore. Which helps to secure the rotation transition next year. In this scenario where they don't have to worry about signing multiple rotation arms, they will sign both Tucker & BO in losing not just Springer but potentially Barger to trade.

  9. I think the best plan is to sign Bo, Okamoto and Suarez or Diaz save the money on Tucker as okamoto gives you the same production/ power as what Tucker would be giving you at a fraction of the price and frees up money for other needs

  10. What's happening is Bo was told..go exercise Free Agency..come back to us when you got an offer..this way…they won't overpay. Do you think him experiencing losing to Toronto is in his books? While Vladdy is winning..think he's going to enjoy that???

  11. Yes Atkins and Shitiro are screwing around with the Bo Bichette signing tot yet Deep down Atkins and Shitiro do not want to pay 200 million for Bo Bichette I cant believe they gave Vlad Jr 500 million I am perplexed that Ed Rogers stepped in and gave 500 million for Vlad Jr But he will not step in and give Bo much less at around 200 million How insane can Ed Rogers be not to step in and give Bo 200 million And Bo"s defense was very good at shortstop this year So there is no excuse not to give him at least 200 million or a little more

  12. All I want is Bo and Diaz!! We have an awesome team with some very clutch players. I dont understand how we can lose the world series because of our bullpen/manager and all the talk is about tucker.!! Why havent we locked up Diaz? You are going to reward guys like lukes, lopprofido schnider with a Tucker signing??? Then leave hoffman up there???
