Who is Roman Kantserov? – Chicago Blackhawks Prospect

Tell us about Roman cancer. 22 goals, 38 points in 33 games in the KHL this year. That’s what that’s how many points he had last year in 47 games, but he’s been able to do it in a lot fewer games. He’s only 21 years old. He’s very young. But you look at this. He’s on pace for 45 goals. That’s happened twice in KHL history. Josh Levo and Sergey Moyakin. What can you say about those two guys? Two veterans doing it, you know, in their prime or at least like you would expect them to put up a lot of points. Like Levo was a skilled player that never made it work in the NHL, but there was a lot of hype for him in junior and minor hockey. So, it was eventually going to work out that he was going to put up a lot of goals and Mosiaak and is the best KHL player of all time. The fact that Kent Surv could be the third player to do that is absolutely wild. 21 years old, he’s only 5’9 and I think that is something that scouts are looking at here and saying he might be a bit too small for the NHL, but right now he’s clearly not too small for the KHL. He’s on a roll. He’s one of the best prospects in hockey right now. And and to my understanding also, his KHL contract is over in the spring, which means we could see him, hey, maybe the Blackhawks make a playoff run. I’m not going to put money on it, but hey, maybe maybe they make a playoff run and he’s there for that. I would love to see in the lining up of Connor Bdart next

  1. Uh… yeah, no. Listen, I watched Leivo intently for years waiting for him to not suck and … thank God he was traded or I'd still be waiting. The reason he is doing so well in the KHL is because its a less competitive league than the AHL.
