NFL Analyst’s HURT FEELINGS Make GROSS INSULT To Detroit Lions!

Welcome to Detroit. Doesn’t matter if you have one ass cheek and three toes. I will beat your ass. You can drown them. And that’s what we got to be. That’s who we have to be cuz that’s our domain. That is our domain because we’ll tread water as long as it takes to [ __ ] bury you. Takes the snap, turns, gives to Montgomery right side zone. Touchdown Detroit Lions. We are driven by Detroit. Hello Detroit Lions friends, fans, and family members. Welcome on back to yet another episode of MCM Motor City Mania. I’m your host, David T. Pike, and as always, we’re diving on in. Folks, you all know me. A lot of you have been watching me for quite a while now. And if there’s one thing that you ought to know by now is that I’m used to getting insulted. I’m used to having people, you know, say some pretty grotesque, you know, unsettling, rude things about me. And I’m for the most part whatever, kind of blasze about it because you know what? That’s kind of life of podcasters because you got to take, you know, the arrows if you will that people like to shoot at you, the barbs, the bullets that they want to give you along with, you know, whatever praise, whatever, you know, um, salutations people might give you for your work or for whatever it is you do. It’s part of being a podcaster. It comes with the territory, so to speak. But I will say this, the one thing that always really kind of shocks me is when podcasters will specifically go after people because of the fact that they just don’t like them or because they’re in such a state of emotional whatever. ever that they just take personal shots or they take personal attacks against people. Now, let me just clarify. I’m not saying that anybody specifically attacked me. I’m not saying that anybody specifically, you know, sent me something, said something about me. I’m just using that as the backdrop to what I’m about to talk about here. What I’m specifically referring to in this episode is that a another podcaster on a much larger level than me, who if you paid attention to the thumbnail image, you’d have a pretty good idea who I’m referring to by now, decided that in his emotional state that he was going to send state and, you know, make a ridiculous ulously gross insult of the Detroit Lions. Who am I referring to? I’m referring to Skip Bis, which that should not surprise anybody considering the fact that we just beat the Dallas Cowboys, which are his team that he absolutely just goes cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs over. Like, right, wrong, or indifferent, he always goes nuts over them. But what he specifically said in a recent video that he had posted on his Instagram that I found on Tik Tok just absolutely was like, “Oh, so that’s how you’re going to play. That’s how you’re going to go about handling the fact that the Detroit Lions just beat your team. That’s how you’re going to act.” I couldn’t believe it when I heard it. I in fact actually had to watch it twice before I was like, “Okay, I’m not hearing things. I didn’t just make that up.” That’s exactly what he said. What exactly did Skip Bis say? What he said was this. And this was during a nice oh, I don’t know, 3 4 minute rant where he’s just going on and on about how, you know, the Cowboys were this, they didn’t show up ready to the game, and how they just didn’t play things the right way. But then he got to a specific part about the Cowboys defense in regards to the Lions offense, and it specifically went after Jared Goff. Now, I’m used to people taking shots at golf because there’s a lot of people out there that they just love to make certain stupid ass statements about him. But this went well beyond that. Bailis said specifically this. He said, “You can’t let Jared Goff get comfortable. He’s a scarecrow in the pocket. He’s flimsy. He’s soft. He flinches. He grimaces. He shrinks. He folds up. And I literally had to watch that part twice cuz I was just like, “Oh, there’s no way he just did that. There is no way on God’s green earth that Skip Bis just literally called out an NFL football player for being soft, flimsy, whatever on his own whatever channel. I just like there’s there’s no way he could be that stupid. There’s no way he could be that moronic, but he was. And that insult, I looked at it and I was like, you know what? I could I could think about how that’s just an insult to golf, but it’s not. That is an insult on so many different levels that it’s unbelievable how stupid that is. There are at least four reasons that I can come up with right now why Skip Bis making that insult is probably one of the dumbest, idiotic, immature, unprofessional things that that man has ever said. And he has said a lot of them. Let’s look at reason number one why it’s that way. Reason number one is very damn simple. Reason number one is Bis never played football growing up. I checked out his bio when he was in school growing up. He played baseball and he played basketball. He never played football. And on top of that, let’s just call for what it is. He never played professional sports either. Anything for that matter. When he got to college, he was all about freaking sports journalism. That was his entire thing growing up. So, let’s understand why that’s a problem there. For a guy who has never played football, number one, but for a guy that’s also never played professional sports and understand the physical rigors that it requires for a guy to come out and take a personal shot at a quarterback like Jared Goff who takes hits, sometimes absolutely brutal hits like car wrecks. To call him soft, to call him flimsy, it’s an egregious insult, especially considering the fact that Goff hasn’t missed a game in four years. And in fact, he has played through quite a different myriad of injuries since he’s been in the NFL. Some of them back when he was with the Rams. When he was back with the Rams, he had a thumb injury that he played through and he was in the playoffs. He had an oblique injury here in Detroit that he played through. He’s had a concussion and he’s had a tailbone bruise. I mean, he’s played through three out of those four injuries. Obviously, the only one he couldn’t play through was a concussion because the NFL doesn’t allow that anymore. They’re pretty damn good about making sure, hey, if you have a concussion, you ain’t playing. But think about that. This is a guy that’s that’s played through a broken thumb on his own throwing hand that had to get surgically reconstructed and then went back out, you know, like the next week or two and played through it. This is a guy that had an oblique injury, which for a quarterback, which requires all the muscles and torque in your midsection to be able to throw a ball to play through that is extremely painful. He’s played through a tailbone bruise, which let me tell you this, anytime you’ve had a bruise on your tailbone or any sort of pain there, you can’t sit. And if you get hit and you land on your rump, that’s gonna hurt. So think about that for a guy that’s played through that who’s been taking hits, some of them like absolutely just, you know, like car wrecks. For a guy to do that and then for another guy who has never ever once played the sport to say that to him, for a guy that would, if he were to actually take one of those hits, would probably would be in the hospital. To call him soft is absolutely a total insult of the worst kind. Especially considering some of the hits that golf has taken over the course of his career. And if I can put him up on the screen, I’ll show some of the hits that golf has taken because he’s taken some damn brutal brutal hits. Some when he was with the Rams, some when he’s been with the Detroit Lions. And it’s like, you’re going to honestly try and tell me, Skip Bis, that you’re going to say that Jared Goff is soft, that Jared Goff is a flimsy player. It’s like you spend more time talking about sports, you know, than I do. I only talk about the Detroit Lions. You talk about a multitude of teams across a multitude of leagues. And you’re going to try and tell me that he’s soft, that he’s flimsy. Have you not been paying attention? Or did your emotional state decide to get the best of you because, well, is that time of the month for you? I I I I just looked at that and I was like, “Dude, this guy’s a [ __ ] This guy’s an idiot.” But that was only reason number one. Reason number two, I’m just going to speak about this from my personal aspect as a man. To call a guy soft in general to any man is an extreme insult to one’s manhood. That I’m just gonna say this right now. Uh most of us guys, we don’t take that insult very well. But let’s put this in the perspective of what you know actually Skip Bis did to make that insult not only to one of the leaders of the Detroit Lions team, a team, mind you, that oh that’s right. What do we do? We personify and have a monopoly on this word called grit up here, which also means the toughness that goes with it. And we do so better than any team in the NFL. But not only to do that against one of the leaders of the team, but one of the best quarterbacks in the league, that’s just going to a whole new level of disrespect. That is just hitting a whole new level of stupidity. Let me put this in another analogy that kind of sums up how damn stupid this is. It would be like me going up to a prime Arnold Schwarzenegger or a prime Lou Farerigno or a prime Andre the Giant and telling them that they’re a wuss. That’s about the same equivalency here. Why? Because number one, it’s the absurdity of the insult. It’s not only laughably idiotic, but it’s absolutely stupid in considering the fact that those guys even now more so even now and as and even more so then they would absolutely fold my ass like a damn pretzel. So think about this. You have a guy that has never played professional sports, has never had to take any of the hits that golf has had to take over the course of his career, and he wants to say that golf is soft and flimsy. Let’s understand something here. Golf is not a small guy. Guy is literally what, 6’4, 215, 220 lbs. The guy’s a pretty damn big individual. That would be like Skip Bis saying that, “Oh, you know what? I could do what you do.” Skip Bis is six foot tall, but the guy is a let’s call for what it is. He wants to call Jared Golf a scarecrow. Um, Skip Bis is a scarecrow. The guy is literally got nothing. Imagine if he was to step out on the field in pads and go and take a drop back in what Jared G does and then as soon as he gets hit, just act like there’s no problem whatsoever. I’m going to tell you this right now. They’ve shown uh videos of what an average human being would be like if they got hit by guys like Ray Lewis or stuff like that, like Troy Palamalo or Ed Reid. One hit from those individual guys and they’re fully padded and they act like they’ve been broken, too. And we’re talking young average guys. Skip Bis is 74 years old, folks. If he got hit, I’m just going to be honest. He’d be in the hospital for not just days, probably weeks or a month because he can’t physically do that nonsense. So for him to call Jared Goff flimsy, to call him soft, to call him a scarecrow is like absolutely asinine. There’s simply no logical comprehension here. Which again is why I keep speaking to the fact that this guy let his emotions get absolutely the better of him to make an absolutely ridiculously stupid insult to a guy that absolutely if he wanted to could probably throttle him. And G is not exactly, you know, a Jack Campbell, an Aiden Hutchinson or anything like that. But it’s like listen, uh, golf is a pretty damn tough, you know what. And then let’s move to point number three here. Reason number three why this insult is just absolutely stupid kind of feeds off of the last one a little bit, but even more so. Again, the Lions are a team that feeds off their leaders and as such are also a team that, as I just said personally, they personify grit and toughness. Put it this way. Do you honestly think that Jared Goff or any quarterback would be the franchise quarterback for that team, never mind the starter, but the franchise quarterback of our team if he was not remarkably tough. There’s no chance in hell. If you’re going to be the quarterback of the Detroit Lions team, you have to be tough. You have to be gritty. You have to be resilient. And golf is definitely all three of those things. He’s not only gritty, tough, resilient in terms of the physical characteristics, but also in terms of the emotional and mental characteristics. The guy does not get ruffled. I say this not only because of the fact that it’s an insult to Goff, like I’ve been saying, but it’s an insult to the entire team. It’s not just an insult to him. It’s an in it’s an insult to the entire Detroit Lions team. Goff is the most visible person of that organization next to Dan Campbell. To question Goff’s toughness, to insult his manhood in essence and insult him in the way that he has been by Skip Bis is to do so to everyone on that roster because he’s one of the leaders, which means everybody follows his example. So think about that. Skip Bis didn’t just insult Jared Goff. He insulted all the other guys. He might not have mentioned him by name, but if you’re going to insult the leader, you insult everybody else. And let me let me just put this out there for what it is. Um, there’s some pretty damn tough individuals that I would not want to mess with under any circumstances. Guys like, oh, Pane Su, Aman Ross St. Brown, Aiden Hutchinson, Jack Campbell, Dan Campbell. I mean, I would not want to say anything like this to them because again, like I was using the analogy with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Fargno, or, you know, uh, any of the other guys like Andre the Giant. It’s like, listen, these guys could physically, you know, absolutely fold you into a pretzel. They could make you, you know, absolutely be in a world of pain. And so for Skip Balis to say what he said about Jared Goff is a direct reflection on them as well. He’s making not only the insult to Goff, he’s making the insult to the entire team. And I’m going to tell you this, those guys would crumple up Skip Bis like the pair of dirty underwear that he is. Or they would say, “Hey, you know what? You think I’m soft? Let’s put pads on. Let’s go outside and let’s see you repeat that again. One of those two things would happen. I guarantee you it. I guarantee you it. If there was no cameras around, they would absolutely pummel his ass. The point is is that either way, if Skip Bis was actually put on the damn spot and he was actually called out to the carpet to the mat in front of those people, he would cower away because he would know his ass would be grass in an instant. That’s why he said it on the platform that he said it because he was like, “Hey, you know what? I don’t have to worry about if somebody’s going to call me out on it because I’m safe behind a camera.” But that’s the whole point. The fact that he still said it about golf, it’s not just saying it about the quarterback. It’s saying it about the team. And I’m going to tell you this right now. The team, if there’s one thing you know in football, if you played it, is that you don’t pick on the quarterback. You don’t ever pick on little brother, especially one as well respected and loved as golf is in Detroit. It’s like, listen, dude, I I don’t know if you decided to have, you know, a personal wish to be in the hospital for a month if you ran into somebody, but opening your mouth and acting this way, you certainly definitely invited that thought process into the the the the realm of possibility and reality here because that’s just something you don’t do. And then there’s the final reason here. Far be it for me to say this, but I will, is the fact that Bis said this after the game in which they lost 44 to 30. And so he’s saying it, like I said, from a from a place of emotional whatever, but he’s saying it as a place in absolute immaturity because let’s call it for what it is. If he was to be mad, which I’m sure he was, if he was supposed to be disappointed, pissed, that’s fine because it’s like, listen, I can understand that. It’s natural. Many fans can correlate because it’s like, listen, we’ve been in those places before. But there is a really, really fine line between being mad, despondent, disappointed, whatever, and then all of a sudden you take that and now you take personal shots at somebody. That’s a very, very fine line because if you were to actually watch the video, it looks like throughout the entire course of the video, he’s on the verge of tears. And I don’t know if he’s acting and he’s just putting on a show or not, which quite frankly at this point I think he was a little bit, but the point of the matter is is that he’s acting as if, you know, Jared Goff just went out there and personally just insulted his team and now he’s got to get back at him and the Detroit Lions. And it’s like if you paid attention throughout the entire course of the video, if you watched it, he makes an admission in the video that the Lions clearly beat his team because they were more prepared because they played with intensity and wanted to win. And so instead of just leaving it at that, he then wanted to take it to a level of downright immaturity and attack a guy that’s never done anything to him. for a man of 74 years old, like I said, that is in essence acting like a six-year-old and again in essence is telling another person which they can’t possibly relate to on any level professionally or personally that oh I don’t like you and I think you’re a doodoo head or act in a tantrum. It’s downright embarrassing and unprofessional and I’m just going to call this for what it is. This is part of if not the whole reason or one of the main reasons why Shannon Sharp left his show because of the fact that Skip Bis disrespected Sharp by taking a personal shot at him in a heated debate last de not sorry not last December December of 2022. I think it was actually December 12th of 2022 where he personally went after Shannon Sharp when both of them were having a heated debate about Tom Brady that year. He decided to take a personal shot at Shannon Sharp because he wanted to say that, you know, oh well Shannon, you just don’t like Tom Brady. You’ve never liked Tom Brady. You always want to go after him. And the reason why is because, you know, of this, that, and the other thing, and the fact that, oh, you know what? Tom Brady’s just a better player than you are, and you feel threatened by it. And it’s like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Back to hell up here, man. Shannon Sharp is one of the best tight ends that has ever played the game of football. The man’s in the Hall of Fame. The man has, you know, three damn Super Bowl victories. The guy has plenty of kudos and respect for what the man did in his time in the NFL. To be in the NFL Hall of Fame, that means that you are respected by your peers. Shannon Sharp is not trying to, you know, go one v one with with Tom Brady. Everybody knows that Tom Brady is the best quarterback of his generation. Everybody knows that if you were to have a conversation of who are the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Tom Brady’s going to be in there. But the fact that because Skip Bis idolizes Tom Brady to such a level that he did, that because of the fact that he couldn’t win an argument against Shannon Sharp, he wanted to take a personal jab at him. It’s just again the same kind of immaturity and unprofessionalism, which is part of the reason why ever since Shannon Sharp has left, Skip Bis has kind of been floating around trying to find things to fill in the void because he doesn’t have that popular TV show anymore. It’s not the same without Shannon Sharp. And it’s part of the reason why Shannon Sharp has continued to have a successful, you know, podcasting career outside of what he did with Skip Bis because Shannon Sharp was the one that brought the entertainment but also understood the nature of the sport that he was talking about. Skip Bis never understood it. He never will understand it because he’s never played it. But that’s my whole point for Shannon Sharp to hear Skip Bis insult him by saying that, “Oh, you know what? You’re trying to measure up to a guy that you’re never going to be able to measure up to. It’s like, well, no dip, Sherlock. I’m not trying to. First and foremost, Tom Brady and Shannon Sharp never played the same position. One played tight end, the other one played quarterback. Not at all equivocal. Furthermore, they played in two entirely different eras of football. Tom Brady has played in the football era that is currently right now most of his career. Shannon Sharp started playing football in the late 80s. It’s not even close to comparable. So for Skip Bis to make a personal attack about it was absolutely stupid because it’s like, dude, you’re not even comparing apples to apples. You’re not even comparing apples to oranges, really. And to think about it from the aspect that Skip Bis wanted to make an insult about it with a guy that’s in the NFL Hall of Fame, he’s one of the best tight ends that’s ever played. Whereas the only Hall of Fame that Skip Bis is in is in the one that would be in his own mind, which literally only has room for one individual. It’s just absolutely ridiculous. And it’s part of the reason, if not probably the main reason, why Shannon Sharp literally left his show 6 months after that incident occurred. And again, when you take a look at that situation that I’m talking about, and then you connect it back to the one that I’m talking about here with Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions, it’s remarkably similar. Bis knowing his team got embarrassed on Thursday Night Football after all the mad smack he had talked about in the in the week prior up to it about how the Lions were going to absolutely get smoked by the Cowboys and there was no way the Cowboys were going to lose. And then all of a sudden they lose and what’s his first reaction? I’m gonna take a personal shot at the quarterback. I’m gonna take a personal shot at golf. A guy that, mind you, absolutely played lights and you know, lights out day days better than his quarterback ever could or ever did because that at that point was all Skip Bis had left. He knew he couldn’t win. His team had already lost. So it’s like, listen, I’m already embarrassed. I’m already mad. I’m just gonna take a personal shot at the quarterback because he’s the most visible person and he’s the easiest target I can go after. Which what would have been the smarter thing, the more mature thing to do would be to simply say, you know what, I was wrong. I made a gross miscalculation. The Lions won the game and you know what, that’s it. But instead, Skip Bis decided to take out his frustrations with insults and a personal attack on a guy who had never done anything to him other than simply beat his team on Thursday Night Football. That’s literally it. Well, also in the fact that we beat his team last year 47 to9. But the point of the matter is golf has never done anything personally to him. Everything that golf has quote unquote whatever done has always been to the team that he roots for. So, it’s absolutely stupid. And it’s like, dude, cry some more crocodile tears, man. You’re 74 years old. Get the hell over it. You’ve been in this business longer than I’ve been alive and you’re still wanting to take personal shots at people that you just don’t like or because they’re doing something you don’t like. Get over it. It’s that simple. But anyway, I’m going to end this episode. I’ve said my peace. So, thank you all for watching yet another episode of MCM Motor City Mania. 1. Sorry lifetime fan of Detroit Lions for over 50 years. Goff is the weak link of the team, regardless of how tough or not tough that he is. It is a fact that if and when he takes big hits or even pressure of said, big hits, his game and execution falls completely apart hence the five losses this season. Second, he has absolutely no scrambling or running ability. it is of my opinion that he is the re-emergence of the not so great Scott Mitchell, who has the same said problems once there was even a threat of him getting it, and he was also a beast of a man physically. Scott Mitchell like Jared Goff if there was nobody within 100 feet of him he could pick apart any team in the league soon as he got hit though it was over. Maybe that’s what the guy that you’re so frustrated with meant by being soft.

  2. I'd love to see Bayliss say that to Goff's face. It would be a repeat of what happened between Jim Everett and Jim Rome. Rome got what he deserved; so would Bayliss.

  3. What a comment by him. I actually think when skipp made that comment, he had just got out of the shower and looked at his own "manhood" (😉 ) description. 😂😂😂😂😂 ( Of course leave Goff name off that comment)

  4. I am 54 but If anyone is soft and flimsy it will be Skip Bayless at the age of 74. I think Skip needs his pacifier or he forgot where he left it 😂😂😂. He just doesn't like it because the Dallas Cowboys had their asses handed to them

  5. I say anyone still doubting a top 5 QB in all stats, since coming to the league, and over look his SB appearance in only his second season, should ask themselves, if they truly know the game of football! Only QB in the history- get that HISTORY of a long long HISTORY of this sport, and many greats, he was the 1st ever to have 15wins as a starter, 4000+ pass yds, 70+ completion %, 110+ pass rating, DING DING DING, and should have been last years MVP, its the DOUBTERS HATE that keep us from getting acknowledged! Cause in my opinion MCDC was COTY, Kerby was DPOY but we were denied! Once we win a SB theyll have to acknowledge him then!! Say it with me JARED GOFF JARED GOFF JARED GOFF

  6. Bayless is not worth your time or our time, David. The only time I would even consider listening to a podcast about him us if it is after a Cowboys loss. It's right up there with listening to Nick Wright after a Chiefs loss. We know what we have in Goff – a tough, mentally resilient quarterback who is accurate and a great leader. He is a throwback to the great pocket passers like Manning, Brady and Marino. No, they can't run, but they will carve you up when tbey are protected. Trust me, Goff doesn't give a shit what Bayless has to say. Neither should we. One Pride.

  7. ❤ I do care for you David, I do only because I believe you know about the game of Football okay. Yeah, their maybe somethings I may not agree with you, but it's okay because it your opinion right David and I have my opinion that all that is it's alright. Yeah, that guy is off and he not the only one David, but I would rather watch your Podcast, and these people always say junk about our team David their just Ignorant unfortunately we have them so it's okay because we do our Talking on the Field and I'm praying for Detroit Lions to play with Victory in every game we play. My prayers David, look I attend Church Service on Sunday, and I am an Usher and Greeter in City Church of Rockford, Michigan and not saying now were going to beat these teams just to say that I don't serve our Team first before my Creator Almighty God. Amen. So, with me sharing this am done. Joe Salas. Of Cedar Springs Michigan. 🌹 Thank you brother David T. Pike. And I do agree with you David.

  8. Skip Bayless crying salty tears always warms the cockels of my heart. I despise the Cowboys and derive extra joy when the Lions can be the cause of it. Almost makes up for the horrid 5-0 playoff game loss decades ago and the playoff game the refs robbed from Stafford against them.

  9. I'll never understand how chairborne Rangers can be so insensitive as to troll and cut down people they hardly know in these cmmt fields. It's an indication of their true character. You have integrity and share your opinion openly David and most of us admire that. Keep being yourself.

  10. Goff got very little protection against Green Bay. Constantly pressured. Ass knocked down repeatedly. He played great. Defense let us down.

  11. The fact that Goff hasn't missed a game in 4 years is pretty awesome. Skip is more of an entertainer than a real analyst anyway…..the guy is a clown….not saying anything about him as a person, just when it comes to his public persona he's a clown.

  12. My grandma told me when I was a kid, "you can't make sense of nonsense". Skip Bayless spews nonsense. I don't care what other people say anymore, I just don't engage. People say things just to get others to react, keyboard warriors I call'em. Go Lions!

  13. I heard Rich Eisen praising Goff for tying Matt Ryan for 2nd with the most 300 yd games in their first 10 years behind Mahomes. Someone who folds up doesn't do that.

  14. I pretty much had to listen to ur segment to get the scoop of whut was said. Thought Bayless was taken personal shots @ u. Keep doing ur thiingy bruh. Because I was about to go off. We support u. Keep doing ur thiingy.

  15. Soft? Flimsy? The guy takes some of the biggest, hardest, hits and always pops right back up. Not only that he will stand right back in the pocket and take it all over again. He doesn't flinch, he doesn't coward, many times he doesn't even brace, he simply relaxes and goes with the hit. To claim otherwise is just soft and ignorant on Baylis's part.
You've been Goff's biggest and best supporter. Always bringing the receipts! Keep up the great work David T Pike! You can say that with your head held high and full of Pride!
