Did this controversial call screw the Cowboys? | Dallas Cowboys Vs Detroit Lions

Okay, well I guess we have a a bit of a controversy at the end of the Cowboys Lions game. This was a rough officiated game regardless. Although I don’t know if I I hated this call to be honest. Let’s talk about it. So this is a third down and three situation. Prescott’s going to take the snap and you’re going to see that this is incomplete. However, they called this on call throw a fly. They called this a penalty. So this is the angle to see what happens. You see it’s Ferguson versus Analone. They’re going to call this offensive pass interference. Watch as Ferguson kind of pushes off Analone. Analone does I I guess you could argue he grabbed there. He put his hand in a position where it looks like maybe he would grab. I don’t know if I actually see him actually pull Ferguson. I think either way throwing a flag is weak here. Ferguson’s kind of just fighting through the contact. Analone again. I guess you could say he grabbed the knee a bit, but does that significantly hinder Ferguson’s ability to make the catch, which is the ruling on the field? Uh you know that that’s how the the rule is written. sign, you have to significantly hinder your opponent’s ability to make the catch. Ferguson still got his hands on it. To me, this is a pretty clear no call. So, I definitely don’t love the offensive pass interference call. Although, I also don’t really fully get the controversy. It’s also worth mentioning again, you change one thing, everything changes. But even if the line the Cowboys got a touchdown here, if the Lions were able to answer with a touchdown, it wouldn’t have mattered, which is what they ended up doing. Again, maybe it would have been different if they were only down if it was only a three-point game instead of a seven-point game. But regardless, I don’t know. Maybe you all see it differently. Let me know in the comments below. What are your thoughts? But those are mine.

  1. Wat about the 2 point safety that they stole from the lions when the replay clearly showed it was definitely a safety. Smh literally gave them the points and then took them back and ripped the lions off 2 points when the replay literally showed up that it was indeed clearly a safety. Smh seems like they always fuk over the lions and always steel 2 points back from them every time they play the cowboys. It's bullshit. They literally always steal 2 points s from the lions everytime the lions play against the cowboys. Smh

  2. If a defender grabs a strap (rib vest?) and it does not materially affect the receiver’s ability to catch, then under standard interpretation it probably would not draw a foul. But if that strap grab causes the receiver to stumble, fall, or lose balance, especially at the moment the ball arrives, then it could qualify as interference or illegal contact depending on how much it disrupts the catch.

  3. Lmao I don’t want to hear any Cowboys fans crying about the refs after watching their last 3 games 😂. This game actually felt like Jerry Jones was paying off the league

  4. Who cares, even if it was a no call they would have had to kick the field goal. There’s no defensive pass interference at all. They declined the penalty, so where’s the controversy

  5. Its wild they never show the front angle. His fingers literally hook his shirt on the inside arm and yanks him down. He even tore it you could see it flapping after the play. They keep showing the back angle to support the narrative of a legal swim motion.
