Should the Chiefs Take Running Back Jeremiyah Love in the First Round of the 2026 NFL Draft?

As an Irish/Chiefs fan? Fuck yes.
We need DE DT and RB in rounds 1-3
NO
No
D line
How do you propose they draft him? He will be a top 10 pick.
KC are dumpster of talent on the defensive side of the ball. With only 6 draft picks and probably picking in the high teens ( if they dont make the playoffs) they would be brain dead to trade up with multiple draft assets for a running back even one as talented as Love
1st round RB is rarely worth it from a positional value standpoint.
You’re much better off finding mid round value in deep class. Which was one of the frustrating things about last years draft (waiting until the 7th in a very deep RB class). I haven’t started to dive into positional depth for the 2026 class yet, but on principle 1st round picks for running backs rarely work out well.
The dumbest thing you can do is draft a RB in the 1st round when your team has holes at more expensive positions. Dline, Oline are always better choices. You can get a serviceable RB in free agency for a ham sandwich. You can’t get 5 cheap years of a starting DE.
Not when we have absolutely no pass rush under the age of 30.
Is he as good as Henderson or bijan? Could fk with a feature back finally
D Line needs more help when we can use a JAG at RB for another year
No
No, we can sign a competent rb in free agency for pretty cheap. Can’t say the same for pass rushers. A first round pass rusher on a rookie contract is significantly more valuable than a first round rb on a rookie contract
DL. Dl. Dl.
Unlikely, they’re probably gonna get another udfa/late round small fast guy again
I wouldn’t mind. But the Chiefs have a lot more holes they need to plug up at secondary, offensive line, and especially defensive line, so I will reluctantly say no. If the Chiefs can plug up their biggest issues in the first or second round, I like Emmett Johnson as a Day 2 or 3 pick.
Nope, even if he were the best RB in a generation (which he isn’t), they have much more pressing needs
Pass. Rush.
No im on the Peter woods hype train. And than after that im on the saftey train the rb Coleman from Washington or price from ND
It all depends on where we are picking.
If the rest of the season doenst go well then a RB around pick 15 probably isnt the best idea.
But if we get it together and go ona run and end up picking late in the draft again… sure, if the right guy falls to us
I might be biased as a Nebraska fan, but I would like to get Emmet Johnson. I think we can get him in the 3rd or 4th round.
Full disclosure I haven’t really looked in depth at the the draft class a whole, but is there a DE that we could take? Karlaftis is showing he is more of complementary player that can get to the QB if Jones disrupts the pocket. Andy’s apathy toward a consistent run game would make it less than ideal to draft a RB in the first round.
You do not take a back in the first
First round? No, D line
I don’t think he will be available at pick 32
Even if Chiefs wanted him, he will go a little before Chiefs’ 1st pick
No. Defensive line is more important.
No DL is a way bigger issue but RB absolutely should be addressed in the first few rounds for sure
Take love and make trades to get cashius Howell as well
No…if they take a running back it should be Emmett Johnson.
