Predators vs. Hurricanes | NHL Highlights | December 06, 2025
This is Boss looking a little bit younger than
I remember. And here we go. She’s timeless. Oh, that is true. And the Kane start off with
Jarvis. Last year off the drive. Jarvis gets one through and a right pad save made there by
Jussi Sorrowos. So your defenseman going to have to track that now. All alone out in front. Busy
gets a pen to it as he did not stand who got free. Thanks in part to Brandon Busy. Robbing Steven
Stam coat thought he was going to have another point for the 12,200 collection. It’s 000 here
in Raleigh here. Three roll 16 assist threads the needle. A chance for Jarvis right on and another
big save by Sorrowos. And talking about the power play on Thursday said he loved the power play
entries. Jarvis, I mean, just stayed on sight, dragging his trailing leg. That was the
first save. And a clear for Nashville. See how vertical he kept his core. Sorrowos when
he was moving on trash center is robbed again as you see Sorrowos anticipated the pass and got
in front of the deflection. Blake wanted to put that in the bumper for Hall. She come back
for an adian backhand pass. get a ton on it, but it’s still got the Eers. Now Blake will give
and go. Hands it for Eers. Eers coming in. His shot. Rebound still available. They have to get
it. Blake side of it. He scores. Jackson Blake. One, two, three. The third time’s the charm. And
Carolina gets a power play goal. They’re up one- nothing. This was unbelievable because I think
Jackson Blake relocated his confidence within this shift. He had looked not confident with
the puck and then he makes that initial pass. The one-toucher up top goes that creates the
opportunity. Stan Coleman keeps it alive. Paul goes to the front, avoids the rebound opportunity
and Blake scores early in that shift. I was saying to myself, Jackson Blake, he’s lacking confidence
with the puck and he found it within the shift and eventually confident. Well, it looks like Taylor
Hall had a pretty good argument and he should have been able to complete the break line. Ashford
wins the draws the power ball power play five on three and the Canes will keep it in gods to
spare. He’ll hit it for Jarvis across the way. He scores on the one-time set by Jarvis. Point
to the passer and Nikolai Elers with a power play goal makes it two to nothing Carolina. Some
real urgency here on this limited five on three times Bear kept the clear in. That is pivotal. And
then immediately goes down to his option on the umbrella to Jarvis. Jarvis sells the shot, settles
it, and puts it right in the wheelhouse for Eers. Eers trails the top of the circle so he can get
everything on the shot to use Yosi as a screen and beat Saros on the glove side. Tremendous
urgency on that limited five on three. It’s Hall. lose it to Ryan O’Reilly. Now a skate race for
the black vacation trying to get to it. Can’t back chance to denies Tyson Jones the former game
that swung the pendulum of this first period. And now this one continues the momentum especially
when I am tardy on my next haircut. I really ready to go. will Ker and he’ll score from behind
the net out in front and Kier pulls his way to a goal. It’s 3 nothing Carolina with 15.3 left in
the first. I don’t know if you can magnify the sheer importance of this goal late in the period.
Jordan Stall, the captain, started it causing a turnover at his own blue line. And Will Ker, I
thought might have been Carolina’s best forward. Thursday night against Toronto not only powers
to the front of the net but goes top cheese on Sorrowos out muscles Roman Yosi a former Norris
Trophy winner gets to the front face off there by his shot goes wide rebound Busy gets across
and another save Brandon Busy getting across to take it away from we’ll take a look at Brandon
Busy continuing to shine first Not one save, not one pad, but two saves with two different
pads. And even that stick long shot by Wood is handled there and a bouncing rebound. And
here comes Nikolai Eers. Short-handed. Eers in on Sorrowos. Back hand in. Soros makes the save
and hangs on. Watch this play from Nikolai Eerts. High end. He’s got to saucer that puck over the
stick. Takes a look to recognize that he’s got separation. Chip forward. Yeah, and that is again
we are treated to this several times now as Aaho is going to lead Jarvis in on Sorrowos and Soros
gets another piece as Jarvis was sprung free. Just concluded cuz it’s already tomorrow in Finland.
We’ve seen some saucer passes to oneself forers and Walker and now S up the ice lands right on
the T streaking Seth Jarvis on you have one of the best descriptions for him. He is one of the best
defenseman uh in the last 15 years in this league, but call him a robber cuz he finds a way to get
in on almost every play. Here comes a chance for Jackson. Blake cutting through the middle
back and scores. What a goal. Jackson Blake. My goodness. It’s 4 nothing Hurricanes. Absolutely
no Grinch in this Saturday night highlight reel. sequence for Jackson Blake. Eers just gave him
a chance to do his thing. Eers actually did more than give him a chance. Got the puck to the
outside and then continued with his middle lane drive that allowed Jackson Blake to fearlessly go
to his backhand, get to the middle and eventually score on the blocker side. Back for Eersian
quickly for Jackson Blake. turning with it. Stan Golden side of the net. Paul works his way
through. Save made by Sorrowos. Be settled there by Fetchoff. Theoret lose it to the corner.
Gostas bear. Second chance off the glass. Not out. Forsber. Shot by blocked by Martin. Right
back to Forsber. Now here comes a chance with the play coming in. It’s AO. Dragon scores. Sebastian.
Oh, makes it 5 nothing Carolina. His ninth of the year. He created this for himself. Chips it to
himself. That’s been a theme in the game. And then on Finnish Independence Day over in Finland,
Finn on Finn. Ao on Saros. They’ll play together in the Olympics. He committed to shooting the P
early. You could tell he was fully committed. I am shooting. I am not. Answer for Paula. Get
it right back. Evangelista down over Bunting. Bunting. Watched by Nikisha. Solid work there
by Alexander Nisha. Jack trying to get through it. Wood sends it out back across and Bunting
with a shot and they’ll score on the power play. And the bounce goes the Predator’s way as they get
on the board with Michael Bunting. That was a heck of a pass from Eric Hower instead of throwing
it at the net to fire it back to the outside. Sharpest of angles and Bunting wisely settled it.
He knows. We just heard from Shane. Here’s Well, here’s the other reason why I don’t do needles
at all. like needles bother me and when I found out he had to do that. We’ll see if Logan stays
the needle but the save made by Sorrowos. Second chance here for Blake and he scores and he
takes it cross check by afterwards and a couple of words but Jackson Blake has the
last lap, his second of the game and it’s 6-1 Carolina. His engine never stops. Heck of
a play from Nikeshan it looked like at the end of his shift to come up with a puck in the
neutral zone. Stan Coven like he did on the power play goal in the first. After the initial
shot contest the rebound in comes Nikolai Eers driving the front of the net like he did on the
Blake goal in the second. And eventually Jackson Blake hangs around settles it and makes sure
to get it just over the top. There’s a chance that shot is picked in by Forsber pushing the
right button here for short. All alone out in front is a chance and Wood scores. Oh, highlight
real goal there as Matthew Wood takes advantage. Now we’re going back and forth in the goal
scoring department. Second of the game. Well, that was a breakdown in coverage. Nikeshan
and company went chasing, tried to rotate, and I mean, what a play from the former first
round pick going between the legs with that puck and then using his range in reach
to score. I mean, heck of a job. I mean, highlight reel play between the legs from
Wood. First round pick, collegiately, found his confidence even within that ship and now has
just taken off like a rocket ship in this game. He missed one in but Rob Fetchov talking about
his glove position in this period. Watch a as a bigger goalender when he goes down and he’s
stationary on top of his paint. You know that’s first of all the challenging part of it for a big
guy that you know could play a little bit deeper. Now his glove is square. Captain second chance
down low with it. Sitting there watching stretch off Frankenberg sets it up and they’ll score.
Philip Forsber out in front. Beautiful setup. Squad back into this one at 63. The Hurricanes
have had some issues here with the rotation of their defensive zone coverage. Oh, about three or
four seconds before the goal was actually scored, Forsberg was able to get on the attacking
side of Yasperi Kokini. He won the box out and Kokami could never recover. Goes actually
off of his skate. It looked like swept out back into the Nashville zone. And that’s how this
game comes to an end. Brandon Busy improves to 81 and0 on the season. The Carolina
Hurricanes with their 17th victory on the
