With all of the Giannis trade talk, it’s easy to forget that the Knicks are actually looking to make a trade at the deadline. And what type of player are they looking to trade for? They’re looking for a veteran point guard. Shout out to NBA insider with the New York Post, Steph Bondi, for giving us this following information. According to him, the front office, by the way, is also searching for point guard depth. They are still looking and exploring all of their possibilities. The Knicks have already discussed trades for multiple players, including Chris Paul. Shout out to Steph Bondi with the New York Post for giving us this following information. According to him, Chris Paul is a name the Knicks have discussed as a target for the backup point guard role even before the Landry Shamid injury. However, at this point, the Knicks have changed their trade plans and now they currently have no interest in adding CP3 to this roster. Shout out to Knicks insider Ian Begley for giving us this following information. According to him, there is a lot of speculation about Chris Paul and the Knicks. I’m told it’s highly unlikely at this point for that to come to fruition. And while one NBA insider states that the Knicks have changed their trade plans, another NBA insider is begging the Knicks to change their trade plans. According to Steph Bondi with the New York Post, he doubles down on his prior Chris Paul report. He states the following. Even before Landry Shamid shoulder injury, the Knicks had internally discussed the possibility of trading for Chris Paul. Except the Knicks absolutely should stay away from him. And that’s not just because Paul is 40 years old with the declining field goal percentage. When you get Paul, you get everything that comes with it. The alpha personality who dictates terms rather than fits in, who can be difficult to work with. So, the Knicks had interest in Chris Paul. They discussed trading for Chris Paul, but ultimately at this point now, they’ve changed their trade plans and they no longer have interest in adding Chris Paul to this team. So, that really begs the question, what other player or players are the Knicks looking at that they want to trade for at the deadline? Well, thanks to Steph Bondi, we have more information on that as well. As Steph Bondi of the New York Post writes, Tyler Kak has been getting backup point guard minutes as of late. However, the team has struggled mightily in his time on the court, which is one reason why the need for a reserve playmaker behind Jaylen Brunson continues to persist. Bondi listed nine guards whom a pair of NBA executives think could be available before the February trade deadline, including Chris Paul, Jose Alvarado, Trey Jones, and his older brother, Titus Jones. So, who are the other guards? I don’t know exactly every single other guard that Bondi listed. However, I know another guard that was not on that list that he did list. And this guard, he plays for the Pacers. And let me tell you this, if New York was able to steal this player from the Pacers, he would fit on the bench like an absolute glove. He probably fits most NBA teams just because of who he is. I’m talking about TJ McConnell. Shout out to Steph Bondi from the New York Post for giving us this following information. According to him, TJ McConnell from the Pacers is listed among the names under consideration by NBA executives that could be available at the trade deadline. According to Bondi, this type of move is a championship chasing move if it’s feasible. But it’s also difficult to see the Pacers parting with McConnell, who was such an integral part of their finals run, even during this miserable Indiana season. TJ McConnell, let me tell you something. As much as Nick fans hate him when he’s on the Pacers, if that man was available and he was on the Knicks and he was off the bench and he was backing up Jaylen Brunson, he would be one of the most loved players on the bench by this franchise, by this organization, by this fan base. Everybody respects a player like that. a player who never stops and continues to hustle. However, that’s not realistic. The Pacers, they will not trade him. And even if they do, they will never trade him to the New York Knicks. So, let’s pull up that other slide with the other names on it. So, Chris Paul, he’s already out. The Knicks are moving on from him. So, that means we have Jose Alvarado, Trey Jones, and Titus Jones. Titus Jones and Jose Alvarado on this list for me are the next best options to choose from to add to New York. But Titus Jones, I don’t see the Magic letting him go. Especially because this season, regardless of what the Magic record is, they believe they have a shot to be a very good team in the Eastern Conference. And potentially, if things go right, they could go to the NBA Finals. That’s their belief. So, I don’t believe Titus Jones is a realistic option. So, for me, the only one left, and I mentioned this player before, and it’s so ironic that I’m mentioning him again, Jose Alvarado. Is he perfect? Absolutely not. Is he a traditional point guard? Absolutely not. What is he 3 and D? Absolutely. that defense. He’s going to give you that. That type of aggressiveness you need off the bench. He’s going to give you that. He is annoying on defense in the best way possible. And you can deny it. You can try not to see it, but as a playmaker, he is wildly underrated. And if he was added to this team, he would help New York, especially off the bench. But personally for me, I don’t want New York to go out there and add another point guard. I don’t want them to add another veteran guard. I like Tyler Kolk getting these backup point guard minutes. I would rather the Knicks go out there and get more size in the form of a wing. I don’t care how you do it, but you need to do it. We need more size. We need more defense. We don’t need another guard. If anything, I feel like the Knicks are doing a pretty good job in the nonjalen Brunson minutes. So, right now, don’t add another guard. Leave that guard position alone and look at size, centers, bigger wings, power forwards, whatever the case may be. Look for that because that’s the player that we need right now. You get a player like that, that brings New York even closer to a championship. And let’s not forget, one of the main reasons that the Knicks are looking to do this move at the trade deadline is to get to the NBA Finals. And shout out to channel sponsor FanDuel, America’s number one sports book, for giving us these updated odds on who’s going to win the NBA Finals this season. OKC remains on top at +1 130. Then you have the Nuggets after them at plus700. Then the Rockets at + 950. Then you have the New York Knicks. They’re at plus,100. Then the Cavs at plus,300. Then rounding out this list is the Lakers and they’re at plus600. But if New York makes the right moves at the deadline, their odds will skyrocket all the way up. And you never know, next time we look at it, it could be New York right underneath OKC. For some of you who don’t understand why the Knicks are looking to make trades, it’s pretty simple, but I’ll mention it again. New York wants to win a championship and they want to do it this season in a weakened Eastern Conference, which they feel is their best opportunity, one of their best chances at the championship in the better part of a decade, maybe even longer than that. New York, they’re going to continue to explore the trade market and see what point guards ultimately end up being available. And once they have that list of names, then we’ll understand what player they’re looking to add to this team to help New York win this season because that’s all it’s about. It’s nothing personal. It’s nothing against the kids. It’s nothing like that at all. New York just understands where they are and what they need to do. They need to win a championship. They need to do it now. And one of the main ways to do that is to make win now moves. And come the trade deadline, I promise you, Leon Rose, he will be making another win now move. But what about you guys? What do you think about the Knicks and all of these reports indicating that they continue to look for point guard depth? And initially, they wanted to add Chris Paul to this team. They even discussed trading for him, but now that does not appear to be the case anymore, and they’re looking at other options. Let me know in the comments section below, guys, what player or players you would like the Knicks to trade for because honestly, guys, I would love to hear from you. But that’s going to do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it. And if you did, go ahead and smash that like button, leave a comment below, and of course, guys, please subscribe to the channel. Until next time, Nick fans, take care of yourself, your families, and each other. Peace and

Good they don't need anyone at this moment!!!!
LETS GOOO KNICKS
GET HIM NOW!! WHEN DONE HE WILL BE THE NEXT COACH!!
Just leave well enough alone 😔 they are going to mess up the chemistry 😢😡
GOOD…WE DON'T NEED HIM UNDERMINING COACH BROWN LIKE HE DID TY LUE. GO BRING IN BEN.
Chris Paul is still worth it. Chris Paul is 40 years old. It’s not like he’s a child and doesn’t know how to control his emotions. I know LeBron James struggles with maturity, but Chris Paul doesn’t.
We have duece we do not need another pg, we also don't need a gianis or anything like that, all we need is a wing and better defense for the bench
Free dink
Okay, No CP3
Maybe the NY Knicks should turn to Russell Westbrook or some other PG.
They need a PF who could rebound
The NY Knicks should get OG's pal OV who has played with OG with the Toronto Raptors. He might be available.
Pacers are not going to trade TJ to the Knicks 😂
Leon Rose is in pass , Knicks need a future GM, young point guard to be right behind Jalen Bronson.
Why wouldn't they trade McConnell to us? We gave them Obi! They owe us lol 😂(jokes)
Please tell them that a vet is too slow to keep up with the young guys. We need back up point guard. Trade for marcus smart.
WE HAVE KOLEK! He's improved a lot on defense & is aggressive, way more aggressive than Mitch. I don't care. I swear Leon has a old vet PG fetish, like I keep saying every time on these trade rumor video's "going after older guards hasn't worked for 53 years, try something else"🤦🏿♂️ holy f to like dam, Kolek needs time with the bench like he finds them very well he has good court vision so I don't understand this whole struggle business they're talking about but how often as well as how often has he been given a chance to run offense on the bench CONSISTENTLY? Exactly, so until we give it a consistent chance which means like 25+ minutes for 5 games, I don't wanna hear it. He already showed he can do it so I don't get it.
They shouldn't had been interested in CP3 to begin with, he's old as hell & his game shows it, HELLO NO, I'm sick of Leon as well as this organization always going out to get old guards like that is their kryptonite always trying to get some washed up or banged up old/older vet or something instead of build for the future like OKC, Boston etc.
We all knew you were talking about TJ McConnell. Pacers are so toxic & down bad, they wouldn't even trade him if we offered KAT who's technically a all star & 5 FRP's lmao(not that we would do that of course, only making a point).
Knick's want to win a championship now so why are they tryna make stupid moves then? Kolek is good enough, how is getting rid of someone & messing up our chemistry a win now move? Can Alvarado help? Yes but Like you said I'd rather us go for a wing or something or even do what you said in the other video with Dink Pate. Every two seconds it's more BS about Giannis or as always, a dam guard 🤦🏿♂️🙄
Good take Troy
7:48 here is some info that I found out about the other day from a OKC TikTok concert created that knows his stuff. apparently OKC is not picking up Isaiah Hartenstein’s team option so he’s going into free agency this summer. and since we’re looking for a back up PG also which I like Jose Alvarado because of his defense and with him being from NYC, he knows the vibes I propose a three-way trade, sending Mitch (who’s also a free agent and I don’t trust this health and critical moments of the season anyway) to the pelicans because they wanted him last year when they thought we was going to treat him and then New Orleans could do some minor help to send iHeart back to New York and he’s way more healthier than Mitch and I will rebounding is still at its peak and now we have a center that also plays offense and defense
CP-3 doesn't like to be on the East coast doesn't like the cold whether 😕 that's why he always stays on the west coast.
At this point 👉 don't think CP-3 is a good idea. 5 years ago
Trade Yabu
I've said this before and will say it again, the knicks need to look into trying to aquire Sabonis from Sacramento he would be a great compliment as a power forward next to Kat or Mitch and he would be a physical and rugged presence that would add toughness. Are you listening Leon?
The Knicks need to try to go get Lonze Ball. He would be a quality backup!!!
Dink pate stop playing around
Maybe we should wait until game 25th has passed instead of guessing 😂😂😂😂
We don’t need a guard we are too small. We need someone who’s 6’8-6’10
How about let's see what Mr, Rose,do mr 🌹 yes they really need to give the Rookies a chance at the point God.
We have to thibs already take apart of that away awful ,.
It's not going to be easy to win any championship. We don't want build up any ideas about and it doesn't happen we killed the coach and find falt of the players..
Jose Alvarado or Tyus Jones I like if his brother is available than yes
Chris Paul was waived and is a free agent I believe. So if they want him they can get him. But I don’t think he’s what they are looking for. They do need another point guard. Kolek has gotten better but he gets exploited by other teams. But I do agree that we need more size. I would like more size in the backcourt. Our backcourt is loaded with little guys.
Giannis
I fully agree with you, Troy!
I dont think they plans change.. i think this is all cap. They wanted to trade for paul now they see he might get waived and they could get him for free. They will sign pj tucker but not paul ? He not coming to play big mintues brunson he will be fine playing 12 mintues a night. This aint over until he gets traded if he dont and they waive him i expect the knicks to reach out
We shouldn't write off Kolek so fast unless he can be used in a trade.
Domantas Sabonis is a highly physical, versatile center known for his elite rebounding and playmaking skills as an 'offensive hub.' Kevin Love equivalent… He has a history of various minor injuries, with his most significant recent issue being a partially torn meniscus in his left knee diagnosed in November 2025!!!
Are you kidding me??CP3 is over ,dude !! Please be clever and try to get Malik Beasley or Malik Monk. They are sharp shooters.
Send away Robinson I can't stand any longer that lazy Player.
You're not getting a quality point without giving up a LOT. Let it go.
None of these players is bringing a championship to NY. So what's the point? Just to mess up the chemistry that's building, finally????
Knicks need to add some quality size.
Two guys.
Two thirds of the teams in the league cannot dominate the Knicks physically (last year and this year) and the Knicks small ball talent crushes them.
The top third of the teams dominate the Knicks. Love Hart, but the Hart lineup cannot compete with quality big lineups. We were hoping a healthy Robinson would mitigate that, but, it's brutally obvious now that there is no such thing as a healthy Robinson.
Size matters in the NBA.
i
