Baldy’s Breakdowns: Giants Edition | Jermaine Eluemunor | New York Giants
Germaine Illuminar has started all 13 games for the Giants. And I’m pretty sure he has played every snap as well, including this one here, the game-winning touchdown right here against the Chargers. And it’s going to be a shovel pass to Theo Johnson. But watch the double team right here. Grant Van Roen right here. Here comes Renan. Like excellent double team. And what does Theo cut off? Right behind Luminar for the game-winning touchdown. That was good feeling for the Giants. Now you look at this. Like here they are against the Eagles. Third and two late in the third quarter. Thursday night football, right? The Eagles have a good front. And here comes the pass rush at him right here. Excellent job passing the stunt and giving Jackson Dart plenty of time to find Wandale over the middle. First down, sustain the offense, stay on the field. And then they had a big day against the pass rushers against the Denver Broncos. Like it didn’t matter which one it was, but you look on the outside, they’ve got them everywhere. And so to begin this game right here comes Jonathan Cooper who’s got a great takeoff. And you see what Cooper does? He’s trying to knock his hand down. But Germaine does a good job of staying on his feet and staying between Cooper and the quarterback right here. Excellent job right there being able to get that ball to Theo for 19 yards and a first down. And then he’s been powerful in the run game. Like you’re going to get Scataboo free right here. And here you go. Like power wide net. widen that lane, widen the hole right there and they cut right behind him and Scatteraboo goes for 18 yards on a big run and a first down. Okay. And then you get this game right here against Chicago. All right. You look on the outside right here. They get this running game going here and Jackson Dart is going to cut off right here and you can see like here’s the counter tray. Counter tray quarterback counter right here. Okay. Van Roen and Illuminar. So right here, we call it the rapper and the trapper. So Van Roen is pulling. He’s going to he’s going to log the end. That means Lumar is going to go around for the linebacker, Tmaine Edmonds. And that’s all Dart needed. Now he’s in the moving sidewalk. And he finishes in the paint to put the Giants up 17-7 in the third quarter. And then this game with Green Bay. I mean, that is Micah Parsons out there. He’s the only player in NFL history to record 12 or more sacks in each of his first five seasons. But here he is toe-to-toe with one of the league’s best. Like you see him, he’s giving up a little ground, but grudgingly eventually he does a good job of redirecting Parsons so that Jameus can step up and make this throw on the outside to Isaiah Hodkins. You actually couldn’t battle Parsons a whole lot better than what he did. Like here he is right here, just straight power. Parson’s trying to grab his right wrist, but he stays in front of him right here. Uses his base, naturally strong, 335 pounds. Like he’s got a strong base. And then he did an excellent job against Hutch when they went to Detroit. All right, this is third and eight right here. They have a chance to go up 17-7. And here’s the kick now. See the punch? Bam. Punch right to the chest. Excellent job. Punch. All right. Now that slows him down. Good good strength right there. And ride him around Jameson Whis Jamus right there so he can make that throw to Hutchkins in the end zone for the touchdown. Like you have to attack Hutch like he’s like there’s no help over there. There’s nobody chipping. They’re not sliding. It’s Germaine and Hutch on the edge right here in the run game. Watch him take his wrist. See that? Now, when he re when he raises that wrist, it raises his center of gravity. Now, he gets movement. All right. And right there, Tyrone can go for 10 yards and a first down. And then Monday Night Football. All right. Against the Patriots right here. Like Singleary is going to go right off Germaine Aluminar right here. All right. This is what we call just a It’s just a wildat. All right. Crack right here. Theo Johnson with a crack back on Harold Landry and there goes Germaine using athlet athletic ability to take Christian Gonzalez right off the field and Single Terry would finish in the paint. It’s been a disappointing season for the Giants, but I think Germaine Aluminar when you can line up and you play every snap. He’s had one holding call in 13 games so far this year. He’s been really consistent. been a real a real big part of the success that they have had on offense.
