Fucking kill me man come on, I don’t care how much we’re paying him, get this fuck out of town
It is not sensible to cut him next year. The cap hit is crazy. Useless topic not worth talking about. He is with us for one more year like it or not
I mean they can’t say they’re gonna cut him next year. NFLPA wouldn’t like that
This has been known for a year for anyone paying attention. It sucks but its what makes the most sense financially. No point in getting worked up over it.
And the fact that the Browns will keep this embarrassment another year merely for financial reasons is why everyone should be fired.
I know why they’ll do it, but I have next to no faith that Deshaun is going to take the death of his career sitting as the emergency 3rd QB quietly
Edit: and yes, I realize that if you’re betting Deshaun wants to leave to try and get another shot somewhere else given the god awful FA class, this is the route you have to at least bluff
This isn’t news. It would be cap suicide to cut him, we’ve always been stuck with him through 2026.
Could you really not put Season in the title?
I feel like the org made a deal with him that if he doesn’t play this year they get that 44mil added to the cap due to the insurance and next year they give him a chance to start and not cut him.

Can’t we just tell him to sit at home not even bother to live in Northeast Ohio? Just pay him until it’s possible to cut him and keep him away.
The Broncos seemed to do a pretty good job building a team while eating dead money from the Wilson contract after getting rid of him. I know Watson is owed more, but Wilson wasn’t owed peanuts either.
