NJ Devils vs. Boston Bruins Post-Postgame LIVE! 12/6/25 DEVILS LOSE 5TH STRAIGHT!

Wow. Uh, I am at a a loss for words. Just absolutely disgusted, nauseated. There is not enough terms or phrases to convey how absolutely disgusted I truly am with this team. This performance tonight, this now fivegame losing streak. I’m afraid of the I’m afraid of the chat tonight, honestly. But we’re going to get to everything, guys. And this is going to be an ugly one. This is going to be one for the ages. This one might go to the wee hours. Buckle up because there is just so much so so much terrible things to talk about. So much hockey all year long. Please hit that subscribe button, smash the like, share with a friend. Thank you very much. And as you all know, the New Jersey Devils on a four-ame losing streak being shut out in back the last two games backtoback at the Rock heading into Boston tonight against a Bruins team kind of on the uprise as the New Jersey Devils trajectory is nothing but downward. desperately so absolutely desperately in need of two points and a win. And what do the Devils do? They go out and they lose by a score of 4 to one. Let me just handle this on here real quick. I mean uh I’m at a low point right now, guys. I am at a low point. It is absolutely just a a sad state of affairs for this New Jersey Devils team. There are so many questions, so many just at this point there’s nothing there’s nothing off the table anymore. Even some of the most outlandish things people have suggested are completely within reason now. And obviously you guys already know how we roll around here. Win or lose, we booze. And we’re going for the hard stuff tonight. Surf sides are not going to ease the pain. We are going with uh Tamana, the official tequila of Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Hopefully the rocks tequila can soothe some of the pain. But win or lose, we booze, guys. Cheers to all of you for coming out. Cheers to those of you that watch this game. Uh extra apologies and condolences to anyone that may have made the trip and went to the game. I was contemplating it and after last night’s game, there was zero chance I was going to invest the extra time and money to trek to Boston, Massachusetts to watch what we saw unfold tonight. But cheers to all of you. We’re going straight from the bottle. Uh it’s disgusting. I I’m livid. So much to get to, but cheers to all you guys. Tonight we all sip on loser beverages for the fifth consecutive game. And I got some coffee here, too. It might be a long one. Buckle up. But we get to the game. We get to the game. First period, late in the period. Devils getting the better of the chances early on, outshooting the Bruins. There was, you know, some sloppy plays as usual with this Devils club. Uh, but late Mittton gets one. He gets fed. He gets fed in the slot and gets off a quick shot. Super high danger chance. I can’t blame Jake Allen there. Obviously, you would love to see him come up with a save, but that’s a a very good scoring chance there. And he makes good on it. Gives the Bruins a one- nothing lead. And it didn’t last long. Less than a minute later, our only bull up front. Teemo Meyer getting down low near the net where not many Devils go these days as many people have pointed out. And one of the criticisms of this team is that they are a weak perimeter team. They do not go to the dirty areas. They do not crash the net. They do not get their noses dirty. Teemo always always doing the Lord’s work all over the ice. He likes to get down low. He could finish in there or he could hit that blast from the circle. He’s down low. Puck loose puck comes to me. Puts it in the back of the net. Teemo gets his 11th at 1839 from Nico Heir Luke Hughes to tie it up at one. And I did have some faith restored just because number one, this team hasn’t scored a goal in in years. So, any sort of offense, uh, you know, a goal scored, I’m going to celebrate. And to tie the game, kind of take the crowd out of it, take some momentum back, especially late in the period like that. Big- time goal from Team Omire. Uh, for those of you that have hated on him, can you can you even remotely fathom what this team would look like right now without Team Omire? I’m still waiting. Even though this team is is god awful without Jack Hughes, deposit your apologies in the comments about Team Omire because without Team Omire right now, this team would probably be a lottery team very quick in in the in the McKenna sweep stakes. But Teemo knots it up at one late in the period is 11th from Nico and Hughes. We head to the second period, kned up at one and the emergent Morgan Geeky. Another one Jake Allen had no chance on a very uncharacteristic turnover from Dilly. uh instead of going up the wall with it, he tries to feed it kind of across the ice. Very, very poor decision. And um it gets picked off and immediately fed to Geeky. He one times it, doesn’t waste any time. And in the back of the net, right in the back of the net, Jake never had a chance. And uh hold on one second. Jake never had a chance in that uncharacteristic turnover from Dilly. He felt the pressure and for whatever reason he decided, you know, I’m not going to kill Dilly for it. Dilly is a throwback warrior, a veteran, a leader of this team, an absolute rock, having a pretty damn good season, and uncharacteristic blunder from him. It ends up in the back of the net. 2-1 Bruins at that point. Geeki’s 22nd. This guy’s just having a monster season. Uh, and going to make a real push for 50 goals probably. Um, that’s how the second period ends. Bruins up 2-1. And then you’re thinking, okay, this is now the third period of the season, one of the biggest third periods in in recent times in terms of regular season for the Devils. Can they stop the bleeding? Can they respond? Can they show life? Can they do anything to reverse course? This has been an absolutely tragic stretch of games. How are they going to How are they going to respond? Big third period. Big big third period. And at 1625, Casey Middlestat puts the dagger essentially in the Devils with a little over three and a half to go. Um, gives the Bruins a 3-1 lead. And that and that was pretty much it. At that point, I would just was completely devastated because that now the game’s over. The game’s over. At that point, I was doomed. I was very down in the dumps before that. And then they had the empty net. They had the empty net for 4-1. Devils a completely gutless performance. Uh the losing streak is at five. And at this point, even some of the most ridiculous things that people have said over the past I’ll even go back to the past couple of years. Um are all are all fair game now. It’s all fair game. The questions are going to be coming out non-stop. Devils lose 4-1. We go to the game stats. Devils 30 shots on goal. Bruins with 21. Devils 43.6% in the faceoff circle. Bruins 56.4. Both power plays go 0 for one. Devils with 15 hits. Bruins with 24 hits. Devils with 17 block shots. Bruins with 18 block shots. Devils 17 giveaways. Bruins 22 giveaways. Devils four takeaways. Bruins five takeaways. your tale of the game here and you know despite having more shots and they got some good ones. Listen, can’t take anything away from Swayman. Did he you know have to have a career performance to get this win? No. But he made the big saves when it mattered and the Bruins capitalize on their chances and that is how the cookie crumbles. We get to some player stats if there’s anything even worth talking about here. I mean Nico has an assist, a shot, two blocks and a hit for Nico. Uh who’s Connor Brown with four shots. Team Omire the goal. Three shots, two blocks, three hits. Decent stat line for Team Omire. Once again, our best player and he has been for a couple weeks now. Uh there’s not too much else to even discuss here. It was just another gross game. Jake Allen, 17 saves on 20 shots. And of course, the deserve to winnow meter. Deserve to win meter has the Devils at a 41.3% chance to deserve to win and the Bruins at 58.7%. You look at the shot distributions there despite having some intight. Devils have a lot of those just hopeless shots from way out way deep you know a lot just flinging them towards net from from the boards just perimeter shots. They got some good ones in tight but they couldn’t make good on them. And here we are now once again talking about what is going to give for this New Jersey Devils club. How are they going to get out of this? And the sad reality that I never thought at the time. I mean, listen, I knew we were headed for trouble. I knew we were seriously headed for trouble. But the reality is, guys, this season went by the wayside in this very moment or or in the closing moments. Chicago cut. The 2526 New Jersey Devils were indeed Chicago Cut this night uh in Chicago. However, it happens. Chicago cut was the beginning of the end. This team completely has fallen apart once again without Jack Hughes and it’s completely unacceptable. Completely unacceptable. Did I think the team would struggle without Jack Hughes? Absolutely. Did I think they would look like this? No. And here we are now, all the people questioning the core and obviously questioning Fitz. Some people questioning Keefe, which I I’ll get to that in a bit. I don’t think that that’s justified whatsoever. The reality is almost anything people throw out there at this point in time is somewhat within reason. Is this core done? Can this core win a cup at this point? I hate to say it. I personally have seen enough. This core will never win a Stanley Cup. They will not. This core is not built to win a Stanley Cup. And I’m sorry. I tried to hang on to hope. I’ve been the most positive person there is for so long now. And the reality is, unless there are significant pieces added to it, because I’ll say this, if there was, I’m not going to say necessarily big-time pieces, but they would have to be pretty sizable impact pieces added to complement the existing core as is now with just kind of little tinkerings and the Cody Glass type ads of the world and the Daniel Sprs. All these little tinkerings are not going to put this group over the edge. And as they are constructed as of today, this core even with uh healthy with Jack, they’re not winning a cup. I’m sorry to show the lifelessness and the absolute just no desire or will to win. No fire, no anything. And so the reality is this this roster is severely flawed and here we are. So what is the next step? I don’t know. I I really don’t know. I I would like to believe that it start and it’s and it’s not going to, but if we could dream uh a little bit, it would start with the termination of Tom Fitzgerald before it’s too late. I mean, anything before I I’ll say before Monday, if there is not a Fitz termination or a major deal or deals announced, we are watching the greatest malpractice and absolute disregard for players careers in their prime that this organization has ever seen. And that is the unfortunate reality. Year after year now, again, Nico and Bratz ninth season in the league. They’ve won a single playoff round, guys. And so, for those of you that fall in love with the players, I do, too. I fall in love with these guys, too. I I live and die with this team. Obviously, I’m sitting here talking on a YouTube channel. Look, look at the This is my office. I had an office in in a a basement and things like this before I had a YouTube channel. This isn’t a This isn’t for show. This isn’t whatever. This is life. I just happen to drop a camera now and talk to all you guys, but this is life. This is life. And unfortunately, I care about this team entirely too much. But at some point, while we watch the same thing over and over and over again, do not piss on our heads and tell us it’s raining because we we now have seen and now as time goes on, even the people the the most uh loyal of Fitz’s defenders have now have now washed their hands of him because they are even tired now. We have seen the same thing. And so I am hoping that by Monday, and I don’t think we’ll see this, but again, it’s it’s nice to hope, to dream, hoping and wishing like Fitz does, we are all hoping and wishing that they move on from him because it is now crystal clear and abundantly clear that he is not the man that is going to fix the mess that he has created. Period. Period. He walked into a great situation here, Ray Shiro, great draft picks, uh, and got a bunch of draft fortune afterwards, winning lotteryies and getting high picks. And no one has less to show for for a situation like this. A dream scenario that tons of guys would have killed to walk into with promising number one overall picks and and continue to stockpile high draft picks. And what do we have to show for it? a single playoff round win in Brad and Nico’s career. A single playoff win in seven total games. They’ve won seven total playoff games, guys. Let that sink in. And so for everyone, again, I love these guys, too. But for everyone that’s going, “We can’t trade this guy. What are you crazy? We can’t trade.” Nobody is should be off the table at this point. These guys have constantly underachieved for years. For years. And while I don’t blame them entirely, again, looking at the rosters and the moves that did or did not happen, I do not believe they were put in the best position for success at any point, but the reality is they still should have been able to do more even with the guys that they have. And so I’m not going to give them the full out of, you know, you were failed by your GM and they were to some extent, but at some point that’s, you know, you have to do more than what you’ve done. And to have the guys we have on this team right now, even with Jack Hughes not playing, this is completely inexcusable. There is no more defending it. At this point, if you are a logical person, you have to come to the painful, painful, painful realization that this core ain’t it. Period. This core ain’t it. Now, again, in some miraculous miracle world, if the right pieces were brought in in addition to the core, do I think they could make some noise? Yes. But with the cap and everything else, that just doesn’t seem like reality. And the only way to get anything from this group moving forward, in my opinion, is now to make those hard decisions, make those Lamarillo decisions that this man has not shown he is capable of doing at any point during his tenure with the New Jersey Devils. That is the cold hard truth. Nobody should be off the table. I am taking calls on everyone. And so I can only hope I can only hope that by Monday we either hear that the New Jersey Devils have released Tom Fitzgerald of his duties or that there’s been a trade or two to try to give this team help because we’re watching it again. And like I said earlier, even the most loyal defenders are now off the ship. Fitz’s approval rating is at a half a percent. An all-time low. It cannot go any lower because people are tired of seeing the same thing. And a quick recap, not to beat a dead horse. He showed who he was in that 23-24 season. He showed who he was then. He should have not have had another season after that. 23-24. What happens? The entire world talking about the New Jersey Devils are drowning because of goalending. And his answer was there was no way to get a goalender. No ways to get an NHL quality goalender. And then on deadline day, we get Ken and Jake Allen. Too little, too late. The team misses the playoffs. the year after a franchise record setting season of 112 points and winning a round against the Rangers. Pretty nice high for the boys. They take that first kind of step forward as a group. Jack’s first taste of the postseason. A lot of these other young guys, their first playoffs together. Feelood moment. Great season. Unfortunately, land ran into a really tough team in Carolina in the second round. They bounced us, but it’s like, okay, we’ll be back next year and let’s see what we could do to build on that. We slowly drowned. Just slow drowning. Fitz hopes and wishes. Nothing happens. Too little, too late. We missed the playoffs. And in my opinion, that should have been it. You guys that have been watching me for a long time know I to waste a precious season of this core because you refuse to address a pain point on your team, which was goalending. You refuse to address it despite the entire planet knowing it’s existing, just living in complete denial. No, we don’t have a goalending problem where it’ll fix itself. It did not happen. They missed the playoffs. He should have been shown the door then. But a lot of people said, “Oh, you know what? uh you know they buy the nonsense. What was he supposed to what were these what were they supposed to do people? They were supposed to be active and make a trade. You saw the Avalanche last season replace their whole tandem with our former net minders. Scott Wedgwood and Blackwood. They’re like our tandem sucks. Kick them to the curb. Replace their tandem and now they’re looking like a beast. And those guys are going to win a cup in Colorado at some point. Whether it’s this season, the next couple seasons, both of those former New Jersey, they should both still be there. Will hoist a cup as members of the Avalanche. And I’m not even going to get into that right now. I don’t really blame the Devils for either one of those. I do for Akira Schmid, but both of those guys kind of exploded late in their careers. I digress. I’ll b off on a tangent here. But the point is the entire world knew we needed goalending. Fitz hoped and wished it didn’t pan out. We missed the playoffs. And in my opinion, that should have been the end for him. Sayanara, you cannot flush precious seasons of a core like this down the drain. And we did just that. And in my opinion, that did irreversible damage to this group, to their mental psyche and their development and everything else. Again, while I don’t believe they would have made any sort of real noise or won a cup, making the playoffs and even if you get swept in the first round, I take that a thousand times out of a thousand over missing the playoffs, period, that is invaluable experience for these young kids and for this team to come together and go through the bonding of playoff wars, going on the road, doing the whole thing. The whole thing is experience you need before you finally get to the mountain top. It is very rare that a team just comes out of nowhere and goes on a magic run and wins a cup. You got to get there first round, maybe second round, maybe a conference final, whatever it is. You keep kind of getting back and trying to push further. And to take that massive, massive step backwards and not make the playoffs. Unforgivable. Unforgivable. That was 23-24. He survives, leans on the injury excuse. Okay, you know, better luck next year. Now we go to last year. 24-25 and more of the same but in a different a different kind of capacity. The goalending was fine again with injuries. Team starts off as a juggernaut. We hit the dreaded holiday break. The team completely trails off in the the calendar year of 2025. They look absolutely horrible. And what does this man do to bolster the team for a playoff run and the playoffs? Daniel Sprung and Cody Glass, my friends. Daniel Sprung and Cody Glass. And with all due respect, these are not real moves. These are moves for the sake of doing moves. What? Like how did any and people came and then the most optimistic people came after me for criticizing those. The audacity of the people to come for me to come for me when I call out something for what it is. Those were trash moves that were doing nothing to move the needle. And what did they do in reality? They did nothing. They did absolutely nothing. Just like me and anyone with half a brain told you these are minor depth moves that aren’t going to do a damn thing when it matters. They are not pushing this team closer to a cup. And they did not. And so for people to come after me, for people to come after me for criticizing those moves, shame on you. Shame on you. You’re part of the problem. And again, I try to be fair with this stuff, but these are things that happen. There is no disputing it. a team that showed so much promise early on in the season for several months, get the injuries, and then the help that we get is barely anything. It’s just like, oh, here here’s some spare parts. Good luck, boys. And we got waxed in the playoffs. Now, I’m not going to say that, you know, getting guy X, Y, or Z would have guaranteed anything, but give the team a chance. Give them some real reinforcements and something to kind of galvanize about. Um, and it did not happen. And so once again, you know, I was done with the guy after 23 24. You know, I was certainly done with him after last season, but we know that’s not going to happen because, you know, oh, once again, the injuries, better luck next year. And here we are. Round and round and round we go. Nothing’s gotten better. This team has taken significant steps backwards since that 22 23 season. And what are we talking about? What are we talking about? the window is is quickly going to close and we will be talking about this devil’s core that was once so promising that failed to do anything other than maybe win that one round against the Rangers. What can you imagine? Not five, six years ago, people were talking about this core going on to win two or three cups, but you thought at least one was a guarantee. And now we’re talking about can we squeak one out of them? And the answer certainly seems to be an astonishing no at the moment. and astonishing though because teams that go on are capable of winning cups do not completely implode when a single player is out of their lineup. And again, obviously Peshi that plays a role in it, too, but this is primarily Jack dependent. Jack is out of the lineup. The the team just folds up and and they’ve shown nothing. And so, I’m sorry. I was very optimistic uh coming into the season. I was obviously loving life and and thumping my chest during the winning streak and it finally seemed like all the things were coming together. It was fool’s gold. And I’m sorry that I bought it. I bought the fool’s gold. And why I bought the fool’s gold is because that’s how good Jack Hughes is. For as much as people knock Jack Hughes, Jack Hughes is so explosive and dynamic that he covers up. And not to say that we weren’t aware that they were there. We all knew that, you know, oh that 3C, oh, we’d like another top six. All these things that we knew were real real problems. they get masked and covered up because if you’re winning, it’s like we don’t need to kind of hone in on the nitty-gritty and really look under a microscope at everything that’s going on here because we’re winning games. And why are we winning games? Because Jack Hughes is unbelievable. Period. And so it hides the stench. It’s cologne on the stinky guy covering it up. But once that cologne wears off, once Jack Hughes goes down, it all gets exposed. It all comes to light. And now everyone’s looking at they’re like, “You know what? This team is [ __ ] This roster is bad. He did put us in this position. He can’t draft. He refuses to make trades in season. And so you’re talking about a guy the last meaningful trade we saw was to Foley and credit to him. I was somewhat optimistic about him as a GM when a he got Teemo Meer. But the thing about the team meer deal, if we go back to that, that didn’t really require any guts because in reality, if we’re being honest, trading futures and prospects for a guy like Teemoire, that’s an easy trade to make. We gave them an accumulation of spare parts, if you will, to bring in a top six guy. I think if we’re being fair, anyone could do that. That’s not really a hard trade to make. The hard trades to make are the ones we talk about all the time, the Lulu La Melo trades. You’re talking about trading a guy like Peter Sakura for Jeff Freezen. Sending a young promising Brian Rston to bring back Claude Lemieux. Um, trading franchise legends and Jason Arna and Randy McKay to Dallas to bring in Joe Newandike and Jamie Langenrunner. Those those are the trades that sh send shock waves through a locker room. And those are the trades that truly bolster a contending team to really push for a cup. This man has not shown the ability or willingness to do that. Period. Period. And I love the Teemo trade, but again, if you really analyze it, that was not a difficult trade to make. I think anyone who saw that opportunity would have said, you know, you do that easily. There’s no hesitation. The hard trades to make are the ones that move you forward. That one was great. But now we’re in a world where you’re we’re now talking about Lou type deals because we’re not going to be able to get these pieces left and right for these Teemo type things where you’re giving them, you know, one or two prospects, some draft picks. There might be a player or two available for a deal like that. But to really improve this team, to really shake it up, to really fix this thing, it is going to take an earthshattering move. And I’m at that point. I never thought I would be. Uh again, I try to be optimistic. I love these guys. I love this team. I I bleed red and black uh and will forever. But if we’re being real, how many times How many times can we be fooled? I’m done being fooled. That’s it. I’m done being fooled. A five-game losing streak, scoring one goal in the past 3 years. I’ve seen enough. I’ve seen enough. And now it’s time for the hard things to happen. Will we see them happen? I probably not. If I had to predict what happens, I think it’s more hoping and wishing. And maybe this guy is bulletproof. maybe all the other conspiracy theories people have. Um Oh, my phone’s blowing up. Um, you know, who knows the deal, but anything short of multiple moves or a termination come Monday, buckle in. It’s going to be a long season. Let’s pull up the standings. the team is just going to continue to give us uh gutless performances like this and slide further and further out of a playoff spot until until we ultimately probably become sellers. And at that point, I will be checked into a mental clinic and I hope some of you join me. I will certainly be in the looney bin because a season that was once so promising, so so promising, has quickly become an absolute nightmare. Never in a million years would I have thought I’d be here on December 6th saying these things and looking at the standings and them being what they are. Never thought I’d see it. But let’s go to the standings. the New Jersey Devils. Uh, let me just reload this and make sure this I guess it hasn’t changed much. Are there still games going on? Uh, I’m just looking at the current scoreboard. Wings are in action. Rangers lost. Panthers jackets a high-scoring affair. That’s all these games are final. Uh, and there it is. Devils on the outside looking in. 29 games played. And the crazy part is look, look above us in the wild card, guys. We’re tied, right? We’re tied with points with the Flyers and Penguins. They have three games in hand on us. Meaning, we have played three more games than both the Flyers and Penguins. Good luck with that. Even if even if one of those teams won two of the three, you’re talking about Or if they both did, whatever you’re you’re at at a minimum in reality, cuz look at the points percentage. We’re 569. They’re both 635. In reality, we’re three to four points at a minimum out of a wild card spot right now. That could quickly balloon to double digits in no time. And no time. And the Rangers are right behind us, too. They’ve played 30 games. They have the same amount of points. And so, here it is. The dog fight of the East. Losing five games in a row at any point is an absolute travesty. But given the situation with the standings, here it is. While we we when you look at it, we’re tied in points. They have three games in hand on us. They have three less games played. Completely disgusting. Both teams from Pennsylvania. And so we’re probably three or four points out. Um when when that all evens up. I I mean, what are we waiting for to bring in the reinforcements? Because you already know if we fall too far out. Bring in the punt team, folks. Bring in the punt team because you know they are not going to add pieces when it seems like the playoffs are so far away. And we we are rapidly approaching what that that could by the new year for sure with the games coming up in December. December is not an easy schedule. Yeah, we got at Ottawa, Tampa at home, Ducks at home, Vancouver at home, then on the road again against the Knights, the Mammoth, back home for Buffalo, road against Islanders, home for Washington, and then finishing up the year at Toronto at Columbus. I mean, one, two, three, six, nine, 11 games left in December. We might be lucky to win three of them. And where does that put you? You go three and eight in these next 11, which is very possible. I never thought I’d say it. It feels gross, but it also feels like the the painful reality. You win three or four of those games, you could easily be double digits out of the playoffs. And Sanara, my friends, come the new year, this team is looking to sell pieces. Could you believe it? And the excuse will be once again, oh, the injuries and all the thing. And at some point, the injuries aren’t an excuse anymore. This is a team you had built. You know that these problems have existed. Nothing’s been done to remedy them. And here we are again. And around and around we go. And another season of a core will be flushed away. And I’ve seen enough. I personally have seen enough. Do not insult our intelligence. We know what we’re looking at or at least a good portion of us. And there’s no supporters left. The support has completely evaporated. Any goodwill has evaporated because we’ve seen this movie far too many times and we’re all watching it play out once again in the most painful fashion. Chicago cut. Chicago cut. We were Chicago cut. Guys, this this picture will go down in team history. Um I I think I’m done ranting. I I’m absolutely disgusted. Um, all right, let me calm down. I’m just furious, guys. We all deserve much better. The players deserve better. The fan base deserves better. And and we are seeing more of the same and with seemingly no help in sight. Now, there was reports that Fitz, you know, there’s reports of everything, but that he’s in touch with Nashville about Stamos and or Ryan O’Reilly. Now, there’s a new report that came out. He was in touch with Vancouver about Quinn Hughes. But, and while I’d like some of these players, depending on the price, obviously, what are we waiting for to get a deal done? I mean, like I said, pretty soon we’ll be so far out of it that some of these guys won’t even make sense to acquire anymore. And then what? And then do we start hearing the the talks of a of a rebuild of some kind? A retool. What are branded as a retool? We need a lot of help right now. It’s super unfortunate. I I really feel bad for Sheldon Keefe. I think anyone who blames him is completely misguided. Sheldon Keefe is not the problem here. This guy is forced to to make fivestar meals with with scrap ingredients. Uh and it’s super unfortunate. And if they try to make him the fall guy, oh my god, I hope that there would be a lot of venom from a lot of corners of of the hockey sphere because Sheldon Keefe is not the issue here. Uh this is roster construction, lack lack of depth coupled with ridiculous injury luck and it’s all coming to a head. And now I get to the comments. Thank you all for coming out. Cheers to all of you. Uh this is a depressing night and it’s honestly Yeah, it’s just depressing guys because th this is where we’re at now. The realization for me cemented of all the things I just said. This is the reality we live in. Bobby, this team is straight up embarrassment. Fire Fitz. Look at the 2020 draft. He messed that one. Who do you want to replace Fitz? Apparently Fitz called Canucks for Quinn, but is he the answer? I don’t think any one guy is going to be the answer. Um, but to your question about who do I want to replace Fitz? And I know I’m going to get a lot of disagreements here with this as well. I’m offering Marty the job. Period. The great Martan Brod. I am offering the job to Marty if I’m in charge here. And there’s a good chance he may not want it because the the honest situation is that the job he has now in hockey ops and all the other things he has his hand in. It is way less taxing in terms of time and travel versus a GM. And he might like doing exactly what he’s doing right now. And there’s a lot of guys like that. You know, they may have a lesser level job, but it they’re more comfortable with it. It fits their lifestyle better. It fits what they want to do outside of the job. You know, Marty has a young son. He’s playing hockey. He still lives in Missouri. Technically, he goes there. He watches his kid play. There’s a lot of moving parts here. And so I could see Marty being like, I don’t want this job right now. And and that could be the case, but I’m a thousand% offering it to Marty before I make any other phone calls to see if Marty wants it. Hockey guy forever, winner at every level. Um, and while he technically does not have like regular, you know, GM experience, I don’t care. I’m gonna trust the all-time great and and and again, this is not to say that all great players become great coaches or executives because we’ve seen tons of times where guys that were great players suck at as either a coach or an executive. But I think Marty’s been around so many teams. Uh, you know, was kind of a student of Lamarello playing under him for so many years. He was involved in so many great Team Canada teams. Marty’s been been everywhere, done everything. And I would trust him as a hockey mind, as a man who has been to the mountaintop several times and played in some epic games in the international level, Stanley Cup finals, has been through everything, seen it all, has seen the formula to craft Stanley Cup winning teams, whether it was his own or other teams that were winning during his career and after. And I will take my chances with a guy like Marty any day. no reservation. Now, could it could it not work out? There’s obviously a potential that. But guess what, guys? I’m here to tell you the guy that’s sitting in the chair right now. That’s certainly not working out. And so, would Marty do any worse? Absolutely not. And so, for me, number one choice, I’m offering Marty the job. I know many of you will disagree with me. You will never change my mind. I offer it to Marty. If he doesn’t want it, then I start to look elsewhere. Two names that come to mind, shout out to Steve the Maniac. We had this conversation last night. Uh, two names that come to mind. Brendan Shanahan, former Devil, two stints. Uh, was was in Toronto, I believe, as the president NGM for a while or maybe one at a time, but either way, served both roles at some point. Another guy, same kind of thing as Marty. Been everywhere, seen everything, won everything. As a hockey mind, I will take a chance with a guy like Shanny. Absolutely. And then, um, the other guy I would I would call and see what he’s up to is another kind of old school throwback, Brian Burke. Brian Burke, come on down. Come fix this train wreck that is the New Jersey Devils. Those are the two names that immediately come to mind. And then an outside, you know, one that probably would never happen, uh, would be Billy Garren. Obviously, Billy G. He’s currently the general manager in Minnesota. So, I don’t see that happening. But the other three I think are super realistic. Marty and if he doesn’t want it, Shanahan or or Brian Burke and see what they could do to to kind of tweak this team. And while I the season’s still far from over, but something has to be done immediately. And if we continue to see nothing, the season will slip away very quickly. And like I said, it could be before the new year. We could very quickly be double digits or damn near double digits out of a playoff spot and and it’s a wrap. A hole they will not dig themselves out of. Oh man, Bobby, thank you. Make Shanahan the GM. Yeah. Uh when did you Yeah. Uh Shanahan, he’s on my short list for sure. He is on my short list for sure. And now I go to the comments. Uh, as painful as they may be, Chris, I never liked Fitz. Once Lou left, I knew we were doomed. Uh, I liked him in the beginning, but you know, and I and like I said, I tried to be fair. Many of you will agree with that. Many of you will probably say no, but it is what it is. I think I am pretty fair. And in the end, that 23-24 season was an unmitigated disaster. It didn’t need to happen. We did not need to miss the playoffs. Uh, and I will never get over it. A precious season of the core completely down the drain right after a franchise record setting season. It’s insane. And maybe can someone help me on some research here? I did some quick research before. Keep in mind, your boy, I’m I’m wearing a lot of hats here. I’m producer. I’m I’m the I’m the camera guy. I’m the I’m the everything. I’m the guy talking. I’m running the tech. I’m wearing a lot of hats here. I could not find it. How many And there couldn’t be many. How many I want to know if anyone could find I could not in a quick search. How many teams in NHL history have had an eight-game winning streak and a fivegame losing streak in the same season? There can’t be many. There can’t be many because to win eight games in a row and then and also lose five. I I would love to know how many teams have done it. I don’t think that it could be more than like maybe five at most in NHL history. But we’ll see. Mark Bold is trading Hubo and Weaguer for Kachchuck and Bennett. Yeah. Well, it’s that Listen guys, Bill Zto is the gold standard today um in terms of NHL executives. what he has done in Florida with the Panthers is nothing short of miraculous. He makes that ballsy trade. A lot of people questioned it in the moment. Like I said, like the L trades, they’re kind of stunning deals that people are like, “Whoa, I hope that works out cuz that was ballsy.” And that’s how you move ahead. And that deal certainly was. Hubo had some insane amount of points and Zto was like, “Get him up out of here.” And he gets Kachchuck and Bennett and what do you know? Three cup final appearances in a row and back-to-back Cup champs. There should be a statue of Zitto outside of their arena. All right, Devil Dog Tortoelloo. Uh, Tortoella was never a GM before and these pampered players in this league would never want to be traded to a team coached or GM by him. Come on. I mean, it’s not 2004 or 2014 anymore. I don’t think I don’t know about Tors as a GM. Uh, I always wanted him as a coach and hypothetically still would, but I’m a Sheldon Keefe guy. I will defend Keefe till the end because this disaster is not on him whatsoever. He found himself in a super unfortunate incident and he probably wishes he stayed at that little lake uh that he filmed his goodbye Toronto Maple Leafs fans video at. He was probably like, “Damn it, I could have chilled and waited for something else.” He’s like, “What the hell did I get myself into here?” Oregano dealer shouted from the rooftops of Newark. Fire Tom Fitzgerald. Oh, it’s being shouted everywhere. I mean, I’m afraid to even reload uh the Twitter at this point. Um yeah, my my notifications are just, you know, through the roof. Um, but follow follow me on the Twitter. I’ll drop the link in the chat. I’m I’m going to be more I’ve told you guys for a while I’m trying to get more active on there. Obviously, trying to grow this thing and do cooler stuff despite the people putting up red tape and getting in our way. But man, Lando Taku, are you entertained? Nope. I’m certainly not entertained. I am I am the exact opposite. I am just disgusted, appalled, uh, and just down and just down because I I’m just tired of seeing the same thing over and over and over again. And here it is. The inability to execute, the inability to make an impactful move to fix a team with glaring holes that the entire world knows about. These aren’t these like super finite, hard to identify issues. They’re issues that everyone can see clearly that people were talking about prior to the season started. They were ignored. And again, the the Jack Hughes cologne must covered up the stench, the the rotting flesh and just rotting everything that was covered up by the scent, the sweet, sweet scent of Jack Hughes winning us games. And without Jack Hughes, you get exactly what it is. You get exactly what it is. And it’s a team that looks lifeless on most nights. And while they can win a couple of games here and there, they are not going anywhere. They are destined for absolutely nothing. David says, “Rare to leave a GM mid-season, very rare.” I know it is, but I think desperate times call for desperate measures. I don’t again, I don’t think it’s going to happen. And and the crazier part is even if we miss the playoffs, it still might not happen. How you like that? It still might not happen. M Sharp says, “Ace venting for us all. Top Jimmy owners are two rich idiots who view the Devils as another toy in their portfolio of sports teams.” It could be, but the thing I don’t get is playoff revenue is huge. I don’t know how the concessions and merchandise and all that [ __ ] works, but they’re selling way more of all that. Playoff tickets are even more ridiculously expensive than regular season tickets are. And so, I don’t see how they don’t see the value in trying to build a contender that’s going to go on deep playoff runs because that is a lot more money in the the company coffers. Teamm rare moves are always the best ones. Dubs is like nothing is going to happen. He’s not throwing his team a lifeline. Completely agree. And that’s a problem. That is a complete problem. Sunrise Art Cinema Fitz will do nothing and come out and blame injuries. Uh we’ll we’ll see uh if he faces the fire, but most fans and and a lot of the media at this point don’t want to hear it anymore. The the the injuries are part of the group that you assembled. And so you don’t get to use that as an excuse. You put this team together, it’s known that there’s injury problems. They’re not built to withstand it. And we got we got Sheldon Keefe shuffling in AHL players on offense and defense. Completely crazy. Devil dog Torrell’s first order of business as GM here demand to see players personal phones and picks on their phones like he did in Columbus. And he got immediately fired for it. I mean, that was wasn’t a great thing. But again, I’m not going to I’m not going to be one of these people that judge everyone on uh you know, a bad incident. But a lot of people, you know, a lot of you people live squeaky clean lives and you’ve never done anything wrong. So, it must be good to be you guys. Just completely wholesome individuals who have never done anything wrong. Bungee Boris, we’re out of the wild card. Yeah, surprise. Not surprised. This team’s sinking like a rock. Richard add a boy ace. Let it all out. Don’t sugar coat it. There’s nothing to sugarcoat. I mean, this is the reality. I don’t think I said one thing that was not completely factual. Nothing but facts. Devil Dog, no player in the league in 2025 is a tors guy. That I disagree. That I disagree with. I do think there are some guys that would be able to thrive in um you know a Tortoella climate I’ll call it. There are guys that aren’t these soft mental [ __ ] weak characters that will fold up and cry in the corner when they get scolded. Not every guy is like that. Now, I will agree that over time the modern athlete very much has become this entitled kind of delicate flower that cannot handle abrasive personalities like John Tordella and I think that’s part of the problem with sports today in general. Uh I do like a little bit of that old school venom but there are guys I think that would fare just fine but they are probably few and far between. Private Pirate, thank you for the Super Ace. 30th game of the season is Tuesday. Respectfully, how many wins did you predict we’d have 30 games in before the season started? Well, Private Pirate, I certainly didn’t make a 30 games into the season prediction. Um, but, you know, I’m trying to, you know, if I went back in time, what would I have guessed? Uh, that’s a good question. What would I have guessed if you said 30 games in before the season? So before the injuries, I don’t know, probably somewhere in the 18 to 20 range. I’d have to do all the points out like with points percentage and stuff. Quick answer, I’d say 18, 19, probably. Probably 18 or 19. But again, I understand we have 16 wins. Great. I’m not going to slide off fireworks. Uh that’s largely off of the winds we banged up during an eightgame heater. Just look at the very recent and and it’s not even it’s now stretching what two weeks. Five games in a row to look just like complete trash and most of them get shut out twice and score one goal tonight after losing four in a row. Come on guys. Against the Boston team with a lot of their big guns out of the lineup. for anyone trying to pretend like everything’s fine. And people made fun of me for saying everything’s fine earlier on in the season and in previous seasons. I don’t get to this level until I feel it is completely justified and we are now at the point of whatever I’m saying and I’m there now for this season. Many of you were dooming after the opening night game and then you got awfully quiet during the eightame heater with Jack Hughes. This is a wildly different team but guess what? Jack Hughes is not here. He’s not here right now. And the team looks like complete just disaster. Complete disaster. Oh, look at this. I never thought I’d see this guy in here again. Chico, they were first in the East. Now they’re out of a wild card spot. Chico, what happened? Your buddies aren’t around to keep you entertained. For those that may not know, this man used to be a regular, had some good insight, and then decided and then decided to attack me with some of the most nonsensical [ __ ] I’ve ever encountered on social media. I don’t even want to talk about it or give this energy, but made said ridiculous things to me on another platform uh that he’s not ever going to make it back from. And so, good riddens to you, Chico. Have a nice life. Salvatore, the East is so tight that we could uh be back up top in less than a few weeks time, but this team has shown nothing to make us think that this will happen. Well, players being brought from the outside, Ken, uh, I think that could happen and then some guys snapping out of it, but the guys in the room right now have to dig deep and really look themsel look at themselves in the mirror because losing five games in a row, uh, being shut out in the last two of them at home and then scoring a single goal tonight, no one really looking to get the team into it. But you, like I said, either with a big hit, a fight, anything. Show any sign of life. And we just kind of whimpered away. It was just like, okay, now we’re just, this is losing culture, my friends. This is what the a once proud organization has become. Better luck next year. We’ll get them next time. And we’ve just embraced losing and have worn it like a badge of honor. And it is absolutely disgusting. And for the newer fans that did not get to witness a Stanley Cup victory, my heart goes out to you because that is literally the only thing that keeps me I watch the old clips all the time and talk to my friends about that. Without that, and if all I knew was losing and this painful administration we’re living through right now, if that’s all I knew as a Devils fan, I don’t know how I would continue on. Not to mention, I mean, I can’t imagine what some of these crowds are going to look like at the Rock uh for the rest of December. I’d imagine there’s going to be a lot of empty seats, a lot of empty seats throughout the month of December because a lot of people have better things to do with their time and money than go pay uh these prices for hockey tickets to watch a team that has a good chance of not even scoring a goal, never mind winning. They might not even score a goal. People have choices and pe and the team needs to understand that that at some point the fans are going to have enough. people gave Fitz the benefit of the doubt for year after year and now there’s no more excuses. We see what’s happening and if nothing’s done to fix it, there is going to be a lot of people that say, “You know what? I will I will save my money and watch on television.” The the broadcast are pretty damn good these days and the 4K and all that. Uh Mark says, “Loing five in a row is bad, but the way we lost them makes it worse.” Absolutely. If we were on a fi I would still be pissed no matter what on a fivegame losing streak, but if they were all like nailbiter games or back and forth wars and like we got, you know, say we got, you know, people like to use this term way too much, but say we got goalied in a game or two, uh, unfortunate luck, blah, blah, blah, like then it’s totally different. But to lose in the fashion that they’ve lost two shutouts at home, one goal in this one, no signs of life, it is just, it is disgusting to watch. Rol says, “Ace, what makes Tom Fitzgerald any different from Kyle Dubis when with Toronto running it back year after year with zero growth?” Nothing. We We are living in an analogous situation. It’s literally almost the same thing. It really is. Oregano dealer. God, I can’t even look at Devil’s Twitter or watch THG’s power rankings because it’s just going to be bad news. We’re jokes. Twitter’s ugly right now. Twitter is ugly right now. Eric, Brad, Hamilton, and Plot must be dealt now. They are useless and terrible value. They are each making about 8 million on average between them and bring nothing for those cap hits. Uh, I mean, Eric, let’s not be crazy. Am I underwhelmed with Brad right now because he’s not scoring goals? Absolutely. But he still has, let’s see, did Teemo tie him now? Tied for the the the team lead with 26 points. I mean, he’s racking up a ton of assists. So, to to lump in Brat with Pott is just completely psychotic behavior. Uh, Douge obviously seems to have trailed off a little bit in recent times. Um, but and Pot has value to the team, but not $6 million worth of value. I mean, that’s just been obvious for a long time. El Snider, the wheels have completely come off this franchise. Mismanagement. I’m afraid you you might be right. Arnot Firefits promote Marty to GM package. Jack and Luke. Well, Jack and Luke aren’t getting traded. Uh, would love to see Marty be the GM eventually, but that could be a pipe dream as well. True Patriot. Haven’t watched a minute of Devils hockey in the last three games. My mental state is better and just need to find some other team to watch for entertainment. The organization and management has quit on the team. Yeah, it’s rough. Lots of fist fits bashing rightfully so in the chat. M dropped the tickets price too. Well, the ticket prices will drop as the demand drops and the demand is going to be at an all-time low. Win, you know, cold winter during the holiday season, weekday games. I suspect some of these December games are going to be very uh sparsely attended. I guess the only thing they have going for them though is I’m looking at this, the days really matter. The weekend games really get the attendance boosted with the kids. And so yeah, luckily for them, they’re all weekend games in the rest of December except for the Thursday 11th game next Thursday at the uh against the Lightning at home. But then they have Saturday and a Saturday afternoon one at 12:30 against the Ducks. Then a Sunday afternoon 12:30 against the Canucks. Then Sunday the 20 uh oh wow a Sunday night game. Those are kind of rare. I think Sunday the 21st 700 p.m. against the Sabres and then Saturday the 27th against the Caps night game. So that could help them. But if they continue to keep losing like this and obviously Jack Hughes being your box your box office blockbuster draw, not having him in the lineup certainly hurts the attendance as well. Uh and then you couple in all the other things like I said with the holiday things being expensive uh the weather the team being horrible it’s all a perfect storm for a lot of empty seats are not problem with our core is that they are complimentary players a stack team needs they are not true core players Frank so would you be in favor of a new GM taking a win now philosophy or would you want them to blow it up um 100% win now because if you blow it up then we talking about what trying to win a cup in 10 years from now absolutely not we still great pieces and assets here to rearrange and make moves to be competitive. Now, if Tom Fitzgerald, if Tom Fitzgerald uh was not so afraid to make a move, I think you could salvage this season. Call me crazy, I think this team could potentially even win a cup this year. But that obviously takes being healthy, Jack Peshy back, huge additions. But then it it does take one of those earthshattering moves and adding a depth piece or two and really getting this roster rounded out properly. They desperately need a 3C. It’s been ignored. Everyone’s throwing out O’Reilly, maybe Stamos, I think one of those guys would be great. The Quinn rumors flying around there. I mean, how much better would this team be with Jack Hughes and Peshi back healthy? I’m not even going to talk Kova Savage for the moment. Just even Peshy and Jack back from injury, then you add O’Reilly as the 3C, you push Glass down to 4C, and then you add Quinn Hughes on the back end. I mean, all of a sudden, you know, things are looking up again. I think that injects new blood, new life into the locker room. I can’t imagine what that would do to the team. But I have no faith that he gets it done. That’s, you know, multiple deals and a lot of uh moving and shaking and and freeing up salary. um you know, does he have it in them? I’m going to say no. I’m sorry. There’s been no evidence to prove to me that that is a likely outcome for this team with him at the helm. There’s been nothing to make me believe that that’s going to happen. Eric Wolf, no to Marty as GM. Love the player, but his decision-m is questionable since he came up with the jersey. Eric, how many bad takes you to going to have in one night, my guy? Do you think do you think that he really designed that? like what Marty was on his iPad in his designer software and he’s like let me do I mean like he probably was in a room and they showed him a bunch of things and he’s like oh yeah I like that and you know blah blah blah but like in terms of like designing it come on let’s be realistic pedro says ace move on from them cover Olympic hockey or all-around NHL game stop doing this to yourself like I said before the the the clearest illustration I could give you is that this was not designed for a set like I didn’t go assemble all this because I’m like oh I’m going to have a YouTube channel like no this is my life this is what my office would look like regardless of this camera. And you find folks here also dying in misery with this team right now. This is what my basement and my office would look like regardless. This team is a unfortunately way too big a part of my life. This is my pretty much I have a couple other small hobbies that don’t take up much time. This is like my real passion and hobby obviously and so there is no moving on. This is it. I am married to this team through thick and thin till the day I die. And I just want to see a single cup win more before my time comes to leave this earth. I just want to see one more cup. And I never thought I’d be here at this age saying that. Back in the good old days of the golden era of New Jersey Devils hockey. I thought they were going to be, you know, far more uh, you know, that that it wouldn’t be this long. You know, we’re coming on 23 years from the Devils last cup in 2003. And it’s crazy. And the further and further we get from it, the the more crazy it seems that this team is has fallen so far from those times. David S, the season will be over in half a month. Will be sellers the deadline. Fitz then finally trade Hamilton and plot and he’ll either get picks or no name players like Chilowski, Glass, and Sprung. Crazy Alex, can we really wait until 2027 to get Quinn or just get him now? If the price is right, I get them now. 360 bong hits. weaker teams in their AHLS and third liners play with more cohesion than we do. I mean, listen, other teams don’t completely fall apart when one guy’s out. Um, unfortunately, that’s not the reality for this team. When Jack is out, it it’s ugly. Cellulite therapy. He’s sure for Brady Kuck one for one. Ottawa would never do that. Ottawa would absolutely never do that. Devil Dog, lower ticket prices. You’re not going to get Utah, Columbus, or Carolina ticket prices for a team that plays in the Northeast at the cap ceiling next to NYC. Well then, devildog, there will be a lot of empty seats on a nightly basis. Supply and demand, economics 101. You are charging said price. There is no demand to go pay these prices to watch this team perform the way they have. And so, your supply will just sit and collect dust. Thanks, Alex. I appreciate that. Mark Keef isn’t the issue. And to a degree, neither was Lindy. It’s a team’s attitude no one is held accountable. Yeah, I’m trying to catch up here, guys. I apologize. Um, just a lot of fire inside me right now. I’m I’m just devastated. It’s uh it’s really terrible. I’m just disgusted. Mark says, “You think the D is bad now? Wait till we get Quinn guys 510 and 180 soaking wet.” Yeah, but I mean Mark, listen, I’m all about heavier, edgier, more violent. I I am against the [ __ ] brigade. Uh I don’t like the, you know, soft identity, the euro ident, whatever you want to call it. the identity, the skill, elite playmaker identity that this team has taken on in in recent times because I don’t think it’s going to be enough to be a winning, you know, a winning type of team to go deep in the finals unless there was a lot of outside pieces brought in. Um, but Quinn Hughes is certainly not a guy that I have that concern with. I mean, he is just he’s he’s all world different stratosphere. Top I don’t know. It’s hard for me to rank him, but let’s just say for for argument sake, he’s a top 10 player in the league and the second best defenseman. I ideally would like I wish he was a little bit bigger, but that’s certainly not going to prevent me from getting him. He is an all-world player. Alex Russo, if Marty got us another cup as a GM, he would literally be on Tom Brady level. I mean, Frank, my only issue with Keef is he shows no emotion, but it’s not fair for the fans to care more about the team than management does. Uh, I typically like emotion being shown, but that’s not who Keith is. I at least at least outwardly to the media. I think he does have a little more bite than people probably realize and we don’t really know what goes on behind closed doors, but uh I don’t mind a kind of even keeled coach um that could kind of deliver that bite when necessary. Chris Lair says, “Scott Stevens as a GM get us big bodies.” I I don’t think Scott Stevens wants to do anything. I think he’s just enjoying uh retirement and chilling. Art says, “Come on, Marty needs to get the boot as much as fits.” Absolutely not. Absolutely not. Yo, Holmes, Marty is the reason we have two old goalies. He might be part of the reason, but if we’re being real, where is that really on the list of serious problems at the moment? Like, are can you honestly say with a straight face that outside of maybe Connor Hella, which by the way, your boy wanted along with Steve the Maniac? Shout out to Steve the Maniac. When those rumors came up a couple years ago, we were all over that. We were like, get Hella Buck. Game changer. You build a team from the net out, get Hella Buck. Never happened. But um even with different goalies right now, all of the problems we’re talking about would still exist. And so, while it may make some of you feel better to kind of say that, uh in reality, I don’t think it’s it would have made much of a difference regardless. We’d still be here talking about how we don’t have proper depth, how we don’t have a 3C, how some of these guys look lifeless, and how for whatever reason, this this group as constructed is not enough to get it done. Some of them already hating. These comments are crazy. How I got a Jeremy proper dream on Aerosmith putts. Gerald ain’t going anywhere. This is more of a pipe dream than getting stamos. It could be. But listen, if he’s going to stay here, I just hope he does his job. But if he’s going to stay here and do more of the same, uh, we’re all tired of it. I mean, you go on the internet. I mean, there are obviously people, a good portion of fans that go to games that probably have no idea about anything. And that’s kind of the sad part. There’s tons of people like that that are just ignorance is bliss. They don’t know any of the intricacies of deals. They don’t know anything. Some of them might not even know some players names. They just go, they have a good time, they eat their popcorn, watch the team, they win or lose. They don’t care. They go home in their car. Life goes on. Then there’s the sick people like you all and myself. The sick people that sit here and get fired up about a team that care way too much about this team that read articles and seek out videos and are up. We’re just the sick the the dieards are the minority. Uh, and so there’s a a large percentage of people that probably are just completely unaware of how broken this whole kind of machine is. Um, and that’s okay. But there are a good amount of people that do know and and here we are having these conversations. Yo, Holmes, now is not the time to give Marty a try. This is a win now window that is closing fast. Need a real legitimate GM. But here’s the thing. What makes someone a legitimate GM? What makes someone because they had the job before they went to GM school? Like explain to me what makes someone legitimate versus illegitimate? I would love to know what is to who is to determine legitimacy. Dire Wolf, I want Kate Madigan for GM. I don’t ever want Marty to have that job. Don’t ever want to call for him to be fired. I certainly do not want Kate Madigan to have that job. anyone who has worked closely with Fitz and has either celebrated or contributed in some of the moves or non-m moves that have been have been happening here during his time need to be gone. He needs to be gone with his entire cabinet, including her. Unfortunately, the entire administration must be cleansed. We need an organizational cleanse because whatever has been happening, it is is broke and it’s stalled this team out to the point of not even I would take a stall has regressed and precious precious years of a core and a situation with young promising players and draft fortunes and we have nothing to show for it guys. Absolutely nothing. Nico Heir and people called me crazy a few months ago when I said I’m not positive Nico is going to resign here. What do you people say today on the night of December 6th? Are you so sure that Nikicoish is going to sign here long term? Please let me know in the comments about that too. Is that a foregone conclusion still to you guys that mocked me for that suggestion? I said depending on how things go here over the next year or so, he might want to see some improvements, a real uh dedication to winning now moves and moves that make him believe this organization truly wants to win a Stanley Cup. Do you think that Nicoir thinks that’s happening right now? Would love to know. Tell me, tell me I’m crazy. Tell me I’m crazy right now because I don’t think I am. I really don’t think I am. All right, we’re trying to skim ahead here. Bring back John Vanderbeek. First of all, it was Jeff Vanderbeek, and he was an owner, not a GM, but it was a great time during his ownership. He was a fan, and he did a lot of cool stuff. A lot of great things happened during the Vanderbeek era. Correct. Dubs, they need to get rid of all the scouts and player development people along with Fitz. Obviously, other than Marty, um, that has been just as bad. Uh, along with Fitz, that has been just as bad as a disaster. Yeah, John Fay, there are three people I wouldn’t mind taking over, and those are Marty, Tordella. I don’t know why people are saying Torella for GM. I think that’s interesting. Marty, Tordella, Shanahan, andor Burke. Can I say Torx? I think he would turn the entire team around. That’s an interesting one. I never really thought about that. I don’t know that I would want to be the guinea pig for Tors as a GM. I certainly would would have loved him as a coach uh at several points in time. Uh you know, a guy like a nononsense guy like that that definitely brings the energy. I don’t know about about him for a GM, but I’m certainly, you know, I said Shanny, Burke, and Marty would be my top three for sure. Chris says, “I think we need to change our scenery. Move us back to Middlelands. Let’s build a massive sports complex.” That’d be amazing. That would certainly be amazing. Fitz is working on a deal for Eddie Jockman. Oh my god. A lot of fighting in the chat. Wait, Chris, is this true? No team has ever had such streaks in the NHL. Is this in response to my Has a team ever won eight in a row and lost five in a row in the same season? Did you do the research for me, Chris? Is that what you’re talking about? That’d be crazy if we were the first team in NHL history to have an eightgame winning streak and a five-game losing streak in the same season. Dire Wolf, I love Burk. Read his book, but he’s a dinosaur that the game passed by 15 years ago. Uh, I think they said that about him back when he assembled a juggernaut in Anaheim and won a cup with the Ducks. I’m pretty sure they were saying the same thing. I refuse to subscribe to that baloney. The game the the fundamental um whatever you want to call it of the game. While the game has changed, the fundamental principles in my opinion have not. They have not. You need a good a decent goalender. You need to have a pretty good defense. You need to have some gritty guys. You have to have multiple you multiple different ways to score. You have to have a little balance of everything. You need grit. You need skill. You need you need all of it. And I think a guy like Burke would be instrumental in identifying those elements and bringing them in. Again, I think this is all pipe dreams. Uh true patriot. Florida spent the money and win now mentality. This guy sits on his hands and gives excuses then ask what’s Depp scoring. Yeah, he just came in second, guys. He tried but he just came in second. John Fay, no one is to put the blame on Keef for any of this. It’s all on Fitzgerald. We need signs, fire, fits of the games ASAP. I’m sure people are going to try soon. I mean, again, the the internet is just melting down. True Patriot Ace finally hit my wall three games ago. Mark, I’d really love for Fitz and the owners to pull the plug on the Hughes experiment. That’s certainly not happening. That is absolutely not happening. I promise. Are you not embarrassed? Top Jimmy Vancouver will dummy us in a trade for Quinn. Say goodbye to Nemits, Agorov, Mercer, a number one pick. That’s a pretty hefty package. Seems very hefty. 360 bong hits ownership fired chirro mid-season so they aren’t afraid to do it. It’s just terrible guys. Triple H trade brat one goal in 29 games five and five. Pathetic. That’s horrible for a fourthliner. Uh DH has what 30 DH I guess Douggee Hamilton 30 giveaways and four or five takeaways and on and on and on and on. SJ says even if they win eight in a row again I’ll always be skeptical now. Uh correct completely correct because we know what this team is now. They’ve proven without Jack at least to be consistently inconsistent. And while they could maybe win a few, you know, have a few five game, four game, whatever it is, winning streaks, they’re also capable the stretches we’re witnessing right now. And so it was fool’s gold. I bought it and many of you did. And and uh I mean it’s not entirely fool’s gold because when I was saying all that stuff and everyone else was fired up as well, it was with Jack on the team. But overall now without him I think it’s a pretty damning kind of illustration. But the crazy part is uh you know they are going to still be much better when he comes back. But there now things need to change. Presify this team has ruined my life. I smashed my TV and my wife took the kids and left forever. My life is ruined. Goodbye Devils. I’m no longer a fan. Oh man, you might as well be a fan now. You lost your family. Swamp Fox owners don’t care as much as a fans do. They care only about butts in the seats. If they cared that dump fits already, boycott Pru. Uh, it’s going to be hard for me to spend any money to go to these games. It really will be. I It just, you know, aside from the team struggling, I have my other personal reasons that I’m not going to get into as well right now uh with the team. But this is just another thing kind of layered on top like what what am I why why am I gonna give them my money for what? And I love the team. I want to go to games, but at some point it’s like how like what is wrong with me to consistently uh to consistently go through the same exercise and to pay money for the to pay money for the uh the honor. Larry Ace, if you still love Mercer, then you still love the same thing over and over again. Larry, Larry, you’re one of the worst types of fans, Larry. I’m sorry to say you had an anti-mercer narrative from a long time ago and you’re one of these people that wants to be right and blah blah blah look at me. Where was he tonight? Where was everybody else other? Where was everyone not named Team Omire? Larry, you’re going to single out Dawson Mercer. Shame on you with your anti-Dson Mercer narrative. The kids got 21 points in 29 games, 10 goals, 11 assists. Where was anyone not named Teemo Meer tonight? And you’re going to single out Dawson Mercer. The audacity. the audacity to call out Dawson Mercer of all people. David trade Mercer, Casey Plot, Hamilton, Carter, Nason Glass, Marstrom, two first round picks, two second round picks to Edmonton for McDavid, Henrik, and Skinner. You’re never getting McDavid. Let’s be real. Uh, Ritter Engine, legit not buying another ticket until I see a tangible shakeup. Well, uh, Ritter Engine, you might not be buying a ticket until the 2627 season, my friend, because as we all know, uh, with the evidence we have available to us at the moment, exhibit A being 23-24 and exhibit B being 2425, the betting favorite at the moment is that we will not see anything of substance. Now, we may see another one of these depth moves or one, you know, we plucked a guy from overseas or we got this guy, you know, some some insignificant move to give the illusion of of trying, but I don’t think there will be anything that remotely registers as a meaningful move. And I hope I’m wrong. I hope I’m wrong. MC is some of this on the training staff. I hate these things. Are these guys not conditioning properly in the offseason? Obviously, Jack Hugh’s injury notwithstanding. I can’t blame the staff at all. People like to blame other people. I would just blame uh the guys for underperforming to some extent. And then when you look at the bigger picture, zoom out a little bit, it’s it’s poor roster construction and Jack Hughes masked a lot of the issues. And now now we’re getting a painful reminder of what this team looks like without Jack. Sunrise Keef is nowhere near the reason he hasn’t had a full true NHL roster for any extent of time. We need a new new GM who’s ready to get serious and take emotion out of it. Marcus Stanza, Harrison and Blitzer are making their cheddar elsewhere. I doubt they care much about playoff revenue. Uh I mean I’d have to imagine it’s somewhat substantial. I don’t know what it would be um in comparison to the regular season. But with the increased prices and everything, I’d have to imagine it matters. If it’s so insignificant, then the whole team should be insignificant. Sell them to someone who wants to win. Then sell the team. Take your profits. Be out of the NHL business. Do us all a favor. NJ Fox, didn’t Marty push the Marky trade? I’d go a different route for GM. Well, first of all, so yeah, he had he had a role in that, but I I still think what because and again, it’s still it’s still way too early to call the Marky thing. I mean, let’s be real about that, too. He could still be injured for all we know. Um, it’s obviously off to a rocky start here, but it’s far from the verdict is far from in. Mark Fitz needs to move some of the core and call some of these hungry AHLers like Learie and Halen in. I was going to say the phone thing. I didn’t think was towards that. Was that Babcock? Frank, I’m not a fan that quits on my team unless I feel the team has quit on me. I hate to say I’m starting to feel that they’ve quit on me. I’ll keep watching for now. That’s interesting. Hey, Russo. One guy won’t help this team if we do a Quinn trade just effing and get Sherwood, too. Would love Sherwood. I supposedly he wants like on his extension like 5 million times five years. I don’t know. I I would definitely investigate it, but like I’ve mentioned before because of the cap space and everything else uh um I don’t think there’s going to be a ton of moves to be made. And so if you’re going to only be able to make one or two moves, choose wisely. Uh I would I would go kind of kick kick the tires on everybody who’s out there and then make the best determination for what fits your team and what the cost is going to be going forward. Connor Quinn, give me whatever Ottawa wants for Brady. Oh, that’s the dream. I don’t think they’d ever trade him. He is a true unicorn. I absolutely love Brady Kachchuck, my favorite non-devil in the league, and I believe he is is an immediate culture shift for any team he goes to, but I don’t think they’ll trade him. I would I would give an obscene package to get him. John Fay, say what you want about Tordella. Whether he was behind the GM seat or the coach’s bench, when was he a GM? He’d be pretty good either one or the other. It doesn’t matter as long as he gets done. Tortoella was never a GM to my knowledge. Unless I somehow missed that, Mark, 30 games is over one third of the season. If we went 36 and 24 the rest of the season, we are missing the playoffs. That’s pretty insane. How is he back? He voluntarily left, but he’s a complete stoogge. Said completely ridiculous things to me and stayed away for a while thinking I’d forget. But I I don’t remember. I don’t uh forget things like that. That’s what I thought. Babcock. What was my reaction to what? No, he wasn’t banned. He voluntarily left in protest. Please, no. Please no. Please don’t protest. Ben Jam, no championships in 03. And you’re going to tell me the system isn’t to blame? Well, I mean, we’ve went through many coaches and many ownership, not many, but several ownership regimes and and uh a couple general managers. I’d be curious to know what system you mean exactly, other than the system of not being fully allin on winning a Stanley Cup. If that’s the system you’re talking about, then yes, that system is to blame. I’m not sure what specifically you’re referring to, Bungie. I don’t think the front office cares if we’re Cup contenders as long as we have the Hughes brothers. They sell tickets to casual fans. And getting Quinn here will do that even more because it’s cute. Yeah, Chico’s a total clown. If he keeps it up, I will ban him. He could sit here and watch, but I’m not I’m not I went I did nothing. He’s making If I have to air this clown out, I will. I mean, he should have just stayed away. Now I’m getting aggravated on top of all this. He did He He just said stupid things that were just so ridiculous that he could never come back from them. I I certain things I could get over, but certain things I can’t. Uh and he’s he said absurd things that that there’s no coming back. He sealed his own his own death warrant in my book. No coming back from it. Yeah, I could take you different different totally different than what he did. I could accept your stuff, Teemo. You know, I don’t like to ban people. I I I’ve only banned SST because he was ruining other people’s time. I don’t I don’t care uh what people say. It doesn’t bother me. How I got her Jeremy proper ace. Good for you, man. Glad to stick to your convictions. I don’t know what that was about. Pucks. What’s going on, Ben? At least your ECL team Aderondac beat my main Mariners tonight. Not all is lost. Check out Pucks from the Pine Tree. Ben does a lot of great stuff. Does a lot of ECHL does brewing stuff. Uh I think was was in the booth calling the game tonight. And was Jeremy Brodan that? Ben top Jimmy. I’m loving the new version of Ace. Angry, cynical, and realistic like the rest of us. I’ve always been the same person, but I I I it takes again I try to be fair. When it gets to that point, I will speak my mind. But I believed everything I said the whole time. Like when people were dooming during the eightame winning streak, that’s psychotic behavior. You’re dooming during an eight-game winning streak. Like what are we talking about? And now, like I said, it turns out a lot of the things that people said during that dooming ended up being correct, but they said it way before it was time to say it, if that makes sense. New York Devil, time for a shakeup trade. A fair one will work just for the possibility of sparked chemistry. Um, yeah. Yeah, you just got to change it up. There needs to be a shock wave to the locker room. Guys need to know that this is not acceptable. The status quo has gotten us absolutely nowhere. And if nothing is done, we’re all going to be here in April either right when the regular season ends talking about how did we miss the playoffs or after game five or maybe six of the first round when they’re inevitably knocked out talking about, wow, we backed into the playoffs and got smacked again. New Del Fitzgerald should have been gone two years ago. Natasha uh young at least I can eat whatever I want and don’t have to worry about my all nice Stephen Brad has been brutal. What a horrible time to do that. Yeah, I mean I think now he hasn’t scored in like 15 games or something. Um yeah, he’s still racking up assists and he obviously still has value. A great player, but when a guy like Jack is out of the lineup, you look to a guy like Brad to bury some goals. And for a team that has been very offensively challenged as of late, it’s, you know, it’s not it’s not great. Teimu Teemo. I can see Nico winning on another team, he’s a good player, but the situation here is not for him. I do think he would be better um more in like a if he was more of like um he’s always going to be a top player, but if he didn’t have and I guess here to some extent he’s kind of but he’s like the co- the co-main event to Jack. Yeah. Yeah, if he was like on a really deep team, you know, like I, you know, he would be a great player on on a team like the like the Panthers or like the Golden Knights, a contending team where he doesn’t have to feel as much of the responsibility to carry the load, I think he would be he would be even better and really help a team like that win. Which is why I do believe if he decides to test free agency, there’s going to be no less than 30 teams, maybe not 30, but there’ll be a ton of teams trying to talk to him and lure him to their team because he would be a great addition for pretty much every team in the league. Newark Devil says, “Time to show Mercer the door. No grit, too many missed opportunities.” Uh, listen, like I said before, there’s no one safe on my list, but I don’t know that Mercer, given his age, his uh, ability to play all situations, his contract status. I don’t know that he would be anywhere near the top of my list personally, but I know a lot of people have been down on him for a while. I I do think it was kind of unjustified and I do think he’s having a kind of breakout year. David, how much longer until you get so pissed you stop going to games? Probably pretty soon. Uh, and it’ll kill me because I love going to games. It’s one of my favorite things. But between the performance of the team and then some other things that have happened involving the team, it just makes it very difficult for me to have that same enthusiasm or feeling going to the games if I’m being completely honest. Justin says, “Asian aren’t allowed to end up in the looney bin. I might be on the fast track. True Patriot went from season ticket holder to no package to partial to not caring.” And that’s what losing can do. Just like winning cures all, uh, losing certainly can have the exact opposite effect where people become quickly disinterested. And I think you’re going to see you’re going to start to see that probably this season, unfortunately. Um, you know, it’s hard to justify the financial and time expenditure of going to NHL games with a team that’s looking like this. Connor Ace, would you ship Brat, Jack, Luke for Brady and another strong Ottawa piece? I would trade anything for Brady. So, I mean, but it’s not going to happen. These are just you’re living in fantasy world questions right now. They’re eventually going to get Quinn and have the marketing dream of all three Hughes brothers. True Patriot ticket prices against the Stars in the secondary market were in the teens. I did see that James not wasting my money or time on tickets. Wait until the owners see the revenue drop. I don’t know that they will. They’ll they’ll fire fits. It’s the holidays. People buy tickets as presents. Not going to happen now. Putts monkey talking about lower the ticket price. Who would even want to go if they’re still playing like this? I mean, if the tickets are cheap enough, people will go see a bad team. Natasha, I just hate when people discount my fandom because of my age. You feel me? I don’t know if it’s necessarily discounting your fandom. I certainly understand what you’re saying because I I’ve felt similar things in other aspects of life where older people or people more experienced in something kind of make a comment and I get that but the reality is Tasha you know long longer fans the reality is they have seen more and kind of witnessed more and so there’s more frame of reference given not for every conversation but there’s a lot of conversations where time served as a fan uh specifically with a franchise or the game whatever it is where time served will kind of affect ffect the either outlook or interpretation of a given situation. So unfortunately I do think I don’t know it’s necessarily trying to discount your fandom but you know there’s certain scenarios where it it kind of does matter. Randon says no worries. Perhaps the analytics team can fix all this. Oh boy. All right. How far behind am I? I’m super far behind. All right. Let me skip ahead. You guys are very chatty tonight. Very chatty tonight. It’s unfortunate, but I’m just disgusted right now. New York Devil says, “Bring L back Larillo.” Seriously. I mean, wow. What a what a story that would be. I can’t see it. I can’t see it. But uh Eric Jack covering all the teams faults by being hurt all the time makes him exactly like Joe Burrow. So both my favorite teams have the same problem. O that’s rough. Oregano dealer said a set to hell with women. The devils are his lifelong passion. That’s a whole different story. Uh Swamp Fox word Fitz will deal Mercer and Nemo for Quinn. That’d be crazy for someone he can get for money in less than two years. I could see both sides of that. Natasha Ace, do you have a devil’s tattoo? Like Lere is so sick. I do not. I do not have any tattoos. The insane Pollock. This is just a bad slump that happens and I’m going to enjoy when they turn this around. They showed signs of it tonight. This bad puck luck will not continue. Oh, the insane Pollock. To be that level of optimistic is is beyond. I mean, this is well well past just bad puck luck. This is a team that just has so many glaring issues and so many problem areas that for you to chalk it up to that, I mean, God bless. Bad puck luck maybe for stretches of games, but the problems are way deeper than that. Way, way deeper than that. And I hope they turn it around, but it doesn’t seem like the answer is going to come from within. If I’m being honest, to lose five games like this in the fashion they did, shut out twice. It certainly seems like there needs to be a shakeup. Chris Slater, I don’t think we we win another cup, not with this team. We are too small and injuryprone. Man, hypothetically speaking, if the Devils moved and they brought in another team, who would you be cheering for? That’s a good question. Uh, so if the Devils moved and like became a totally different team or they were like a Yeah, I’m assuming you just mean like, you know, say they went to Quebec and then became a totally different team and then a new team came to New Jersey. Uh, I I guess I would root for both. I can never just How How do you just abandon the team you liked forever and then there’s a home team? So I I would probably have a split allegiance. As much as I hate people that cheer for multiple teams, I do believe that is a scenario where it would be completely justified. And then obviously I’d have to pick the one, you know, when they’re playing head-to-head, but I think that’s a the probably the only justifiable scenario to have two teams. Puts Monkey at the end of the day ultimately blame HBSC. They don’t allow as long as the team is still pro profitable. Yeah, oregano dealer says, “As long as we keep grits around, I’m fine with any trades at this point. Got his jersey coming in soon.” Very nice. Mark says, “I don’t drink Ace, but I’m having peppermint tea to cope.” Well, enjoy that. All right, let me skip ahead here. I mean, I just there’s just so many comments. Devil Doug says, “Ace our franchise historically has poor attendance issues with 10K at regular season and 15 at playoff games in our glory years. You should know that.” There’s your supply and demand. Obviously, a very different time. Uh, but I do think that I saw a report the other day and the Devils supposedly had like 99.9% attendance or something, which is is interesting to me because I was at plenty of games where there was like damn near full sections open. So, I don’t know exactly how they’re uh calculating these numbers, but it certainly doesn’t seem like that when you’re at the games. Quinn Hughes would definitely greatly improve our defense. Alex Hellabuck and Daws with the same cap. Mr. Snowford, no words. Ace here for the therapy session to give a thumbs up. Thank you. Hit the thumbs up for your boy. Let’s hope Blues face takes some kind of action as this is getting bad fast. Yeah, it really is. It really is. Anyone take talking Marty hate should be banned. They should be. St. I just drove back to Brooklyn from Jersey after going out with my wife. What happened? What’s going on? Uh, the Devils did the devil devils did devil’s things tonight. Barely scored. Barely barely scored. The team is falling to pieces. If they lose again, I will eat my beady. Merch tube, I used to be that guy. You made me one of you people. Ace, damn you. I don’t know exactly what that is. I guess is that one of the people that just go to the games and don’t really care and they go home unbothered. I almost wish I could live in that in that world and just be like a casual fan and not be uh your your outlook on life and your overall demeanor affected by affected by the team’s performance. H All right. I’m trying to I’m trying to catch up here folks. Appreciate the patience. P mystic bad core period. They’re crap without Jack and Jack only plays a few games a year. A strange slip at a dinner revealed the heart of this team. I mean, he plays more than a few games, but it it is annoying that every year uh Chris Terraria for GM. That’s very interesting. Salvatore says, “What’s Nether Myers role in Anaheim? Can we get him for GM?” Another guy that I would take a shot on, but there’s no way. He loves Cali. He’s not coming here. But another genius hockey mind, Lando T. How do you say this? Lando. Lando Taku. It’s time Ke starts sitting guys out. Make an example out of your top guys. Send a message. These guys are far too comfortable with the sloppy play and for the love of God, put Teimmo on right wing. Would like to see guys scratched. I don’t think we’ll do it. I mean, I just don’t know that it’s something they kind of have the the gall to do in conjunction with all the injuries, but I wouldn’t mind seeing it. I mean, I think that at least sends a message. David Times don’t hate me, but Marty does not have GMQ. He says a lot of dumb things. Love him. Devil’s legend, but not brainy and a bit of a blowhard at times. I have to disagree. And you don’t you don’t think he’d do a better job than what we’ve been been getting for for some time now? Are we becoming the Buffalo Sabres? No, I don’t think it’s quite that bad. And that’s pretty bad. Cisco kid, I’m so glad I was able to experience the Cup years and going to the parades rallies at the Brendan Burn Arena. The greatest times. The greatest of times. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. How the mighty have fallen. Fenol says Nico will be gone. That’s why I wouldn’t be opposed to trading him now. Again, I I would have said three weeks ago, this is psychotic talk. Not anymore. Anything that anyone throws out there that would have been an extreme idea at this point is is worth exploring because where what is the answer? I don’t know. But clearly this is not it. More of the same is not the answer. Maris says I legitimately think Ace needs a therapist. Thanks Salvatore Teemo. Uh Madden and Po in the office behind the bench. That would be amazing. Richard, I agreed with you on Nico a while ago. The windows closing on Nico and I’d want to win a cup. How much longer can he wait? I would not be surprised if he walked during his free agent year. We’re going to see more fighting in the chat. 360 bomb hits the 2223 Devils cooked off the Russian in transition. They’ve never been a four-checking cycling team. Now instead of carrying the puck in with possession, they just dump it and fail to retrieve. Yeah. uh the the plan B and plan C games don’t really do anything. If the transition is shut down, it’s hard for this team to generate goals. And it’s it’s pretty crazy considering the guys we have. Listen, Lou had mess ups in Long Island, but he left the Islanders with one last gift. Patrick Wah Lou is 100% right about making W coach of the aisles. Now look at them. Oh man, I would love uh John NJ Devils, what books you got behind you, Ace? Oh, it’s uh I’ll uh I didn’t realize those were in view. Uh I’ve been kind of sorting through my library, my hockey reference library, and doing some stuff. Some of those are going to be the giveaway, the monster giveaway show is coming and those will be a part of that as well. I’ve been working on a lot of stuff behind the scenes. Uh, a lot of my efforts have been kind of I don’t even want to get into more negativity, but yeah, I’m trying to do a lot of stuff. We’ll see what gets done, but the books are part of the hockey library. You’ll make an appearance again soon. Books about when the devils were good. Well, why were they run by clowns? Not run by clowns. Okay. Uh, and you guys, I’m just skimming the comments. I didn’t ban anybody. They probably just felt shame and left on their own. The audacity to try to come back here after some of the things that were said is crazy. Um, do you think it’s something with a locker room cancer while this team is so down? Obviously, injuries, but the Bruins team have the same issue and they’ve been winning games and putting up solid games. I don’t know. I don’t know what the answer is. I don’t necessarily know it’s a locker room cancer, but there’s just whatever is happening. It’s just it’s the results aren’t there and we’re seeing the same movie over and over and over again. And so, unfortunately, now at this point, something must be done. I don’t necessarily have the answer for what that is, but it’s got to be something. I know the answer is is is not to do nothing. Doing nothing is not the answer. That I do know. Zamb boozes. Every player should be on the table, including Jack. There is clearly a locker room issue. Bruins had two players out and still played hockey while Devils three years of this. Uh Larry says, “Need to get a petition going. A couple thousand season ticket holder saying fired Fitzgerald now will wake up ownership.” I mean, good luck with that. Um, I don’t know that it will matter. I don’t know that it will matter, but I mean, you could try. I don’t have the energy to do something like that. I think that’s kind of a losing a losing battlefield, but Team says boycott. Evan, I’m embarrassed to be a Devils fan. What a terrible night right now. Natasha, wait. What happened to PBA Ace? Uh, it’s a whole long story. It came it came to an abrupt end due to on on some really wild ridiculous uh situational reasons, but I’m not going to I I have too much negativity in my head right now. Boycott Mercer is playing out of position. I’m trying to catch up. Frank, thanks for hosting Ace. I can’t believe I’m saying it again after I said last season, but Misery loves company. I don’t agree with everything that’s said here, but the therapy helps. I’m glad I’m glad some people get get some sort of relief out of it. A lot of us are just completely fed up and and just want to see improvement and see this team make a real run. And the season’s not over. That’s the crazy part. Some people are like uh uh you know, think it’s over. It’s definitely not over, but it could be very soon. And that’s why I think it’s so imperative that changes are made, whether that’s Fitz or he brings in different players, but changes need to be made before the se before it’s too late. And it unfortunately could be too late in the not too distant future. Snow Devil, why’ you giving up on the season already? We might get Sprong back at the deadline to save the season. to save the season. Eric, Dano and Bryce constantly comment on the overpassing and inability to clear the Dzone by making a simple play. So is that so is it that they overestimate their own skill too much? If so, why? I don’t have the answer to that. I do think for whatever reason guys more so than in the past. I feel like in past, you know, back even in the not tooistant past, guys would be fine with just clearing a puck to get out of danger and and not worry about about like killing a possession. Now, it seems like they always want to force a pass or, you know, bring the puck up ice the other way and they don’t want to just like clear it out of the zone. I don’t know why that is. Uh maybe it very well could be tied to uh maybe some of the more advanced analytics and numbers and things that are available now that weren’t available back in the day that things they weren’t tracking. I never really thought of that about that till right now. But maybe that’s why they are so hesitant to to just kind of dump it. I don’t know. I don’t know. Art says, “I’ve been a fan for a long time, but stopped watching after the second filthy game.” Oh, that one was a painful one. All right, we got a warp speed ahead here. John Devils, next time they call me for season tickets, they are getting an earful of my pissed-off frustration. Oh boy. Yeah, some of you guys are funny, man. I’m like, I apologize. Obvious there’s a million comments in here. Some of them are crazy. Mark, I was somewhat against it, but after last night’s chat, I’m good with getting stamos. People compare him to Palot, but Pali isn’t in the same league with Stamos. Correct. It couldn’t be any different. The fact the Pot contract and I was another thing I was talking to uh Steve the Maniac about. Shout out to Steve the Maniac. The Pot contract has done so much irreversible damage to a large portion of our a portion of our fan base that any time now for maybe the next 20 years and maybe forever for some of these people that there is chatter or buzz of the team getting a veteran player who’s maybe, you know, 32 plus years old, which is is not dead, but you know, according to a lot of these people, 32 is is is damn near death. that anytime a name comes up like this linked to the Devils, people talk about their age as if they are 70, it’s completely insane. And furthermore, and again, with no disrespect to Pali, he’s had a great career, you know, played a big role and had some big playoff runs on Tampa’s Cup teams, to put Pot and Stammer in the same sentence is maniacal. Completely maniacal. Nowhere near the same. Stammer is a first ballot hall of famer legend. still has a shot, still commands respect, still has a lot of intangibles to bring him over. He’s like, “We don’t need intangibles. We we need goals.” Well, guess what? I think he’s still able to score goals despite his old advanced age, would still score more goals than a lot of the guys on our team right now. And again, I don’t want him at his full contract with retention from Nashville. I would certainly like to have him. And I think it’d be completely insane for people to say that it’s a terrible acquisition, this, that, and the other thing. That is a win now move. Win now. Because if we don’t win now, they ain’t going to be winning for a long time. So, it’s now or I’m not going to say never, but it’s it’s now or not for a very long time. You’re talking about this entire core being shipped out over years. And you’re talking about potentially winning a cup, you know, maybe in 8 to 10 years from now with guys like big Mike Yagorov and and Saliv and kids that we haven’t even drafted yet. If that’s what you’re talking about. If it’s not win now, it’s not winning for a very long time. No, I certainly uh don’t want to be a GM or obviously would ever get hired for a GM. I don’t think I’m a GM. I just know that doing nothing is not the answer. You don’t need to have been a GM to realize patterns and see issues with teams when you’ve been a fan of the sport and the team for so long. The issues have been talked about openly for a very long time. They’ve been ignored. And now we’ve come to the point where there’s you cannot ignore them anymore. Due to an injury to the superstar, all of the blemishes of the product are being exposed. Octane Gamer watching this team almost wants me to go to my hometown team Flyers and watch a cheer for them. How bad this team I I can never change teams. It’s crazy. It’s completely crazy. Devils 13. Why are people acting like we’re looking to get Shecky Hughes, third pair defenseman on an AHL team? Because it’d be fun having three brothers together. He’s the second best defenseman in the league. I do agree with that. I think the frustration from people is that when you look at the team, no one, you know, no one in their right mind is being like, you know what, we’re missing, you know, what would put us over the top? An offensive defenseman. Because that’s clearly not like an area of need, right? But because he is so good and such a a great player, if you have a possibility to get him, you got to try everything you can. And obviously being that we have Jack and Luke, we sort of have the inside track to land this kid. And again, offensive defenseman certainly not on my top five probably wants. I would probably say we need more goalie help before I would say an offensive defenseman. But when you’re talking about a player of that caliber, uh, of that ilk and you have a chance to get him, you got to explore it. You certainly got to explore it. Mark says a become a Vegas Golden Knights fan. Just kidding. He knows too much about hockey to be a Vegas fan. I will say, and this is a pretty easy one for me. If I had to ever pick a different team, it would very easily be for me personally, the Islanders would be, you know, geographic proximity, uh, one of my good buddies growing up, shout out to Patty, um, because the tickets were so cheap and he’s a rabid fan. Senior year of high school, we would cut school, leave early, and go to Nassau Coliseum. Again, I’m a big hockey fan. Would go to Nassau Coliseum and watch the Islanders play all kinds of teams because the tickets were dirt cheap and it was it was a fun time. They clearly would be my my second pick if I had to pick Ritter Engine. Any chance we can we can at least give Rolski the boot? Everyone keeps honing in on him. Like, does does anyone think that that’s going to fix anything? Uh like, how how is how is that going to fix anything? I just can’t see it. A lot of people put way too much. I mean, I get it. Like, we’ve had goalies slip through and blah blah blah, but I don’t know. Stephen, top five Christmas movies. Ace. Oh, boy. Uh, we’re getting closer to being caught up. Shout out to everybody. H, happy holidays. Top five Christmas movies. Let me think about that for a minute. Hold on, let me think. In no particular order. In no particular order. Elf, A Christmas Story, Home Alone, Home Alone 2. That’s four. Elf, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, A Christmas Story, and I guess I guess Christmas Vacation probably. That would probably be my five. It’s a good question. Very timely. David S. Ace, you say you want win now pieces. If you were Tom, what would be the first trade you make before the new year if you had to really think about it, please? Okay, there’s a there’s a there’s a lot of variables to this and a lot of follow-up questions, and I guess I’ll just try to answer it as as directly as I can. If you’re talking about not making any earthshattering trades, so in a world where we’re not doing a big shakeup and we’re just trying to add, then easily for me it’s give a prospect in a first round pick. If that’s the, you know, if that reported asking price is in fact factual, make that trade for Ryan O’Reilly as your 3C. I think that’s the easiest most feasible one. um is the most is the most feasible one that I would do. Now, it’s a whole different conversation if you’re opening it up to well the earth the earth shattering, you know, core core breaking trade is on the table too, then it’s a different story depending on who’s available. But if we’re talking about just adding to what’s already here, O’Reilly or Stam Coast for me from Nashville is easy. I love Stammer too again with retention, but O’Reilly or Stammer to me is the is the short answer. And obviously I would uh investigate on Sherwood from Vancouver. I think he definitely brings an element we could use and can definitely help give that bottom six a little bit of a grittier identity. But short answer without without making a shakeup move for me it would be O’Reilly or Stammer from Nashville and and potentially a guy like Sherwood. I think that would go a long way. George Shannon, maybe we should have picked up Mloud after he was cleared. Is he still out there? Yeah, I believe he’s in the KHL. But here’s the thing. I told you guys from forever ago there was zero chance the Devils would ever even look into that. And I was correct. But more importantly than that is the fact that I don’t believe you would ever see the version of Mloud that you guys are remembering. I mean, that was a long time ago. Uh, I don’t think he ever returns that level. Now, maybe I’m wrong and he could. I don’t know. Um, but I really don’t think, you know, I think he was actually benched or cut from a KHL team at some point. I can’t remember all the details, but either way, um, I I don’t think you’re getting the Mloud that everyone’s remembering. And so, for me, that makes it an easier pill to swallow that they wouldn’t investigate it because I don’t think you’re getting that same guy. I think you could find better options elsewhere. Samuel says, “If five losses in a row isn’t a message, the team in leadership is deaf.” Ben Jamon, trade anyone but Teemo or Grits anyone. Captain Mfungo, what’s up? No worries. Fitz is actively hunting like Elmer Fud for big fish. Natasha trading Nico for Thompson. I don’t know why everyone thinks that these guys are so valuable. Like nothing for nothing. What makes you think that Buffalo would take that trade? I think they laugh at you. is going to leave 100% deal them. I don’t want a Tavaris situation. Mark Fitz to trade some core for Stammer, Ryan O’Reilly, and Shen. They may be old, but they have a ton more character and heart than a lot of our core. You’re talking about a lot of pieces. I’m not necessarily a Shen guy, but um Gleon says, “We have some low IQ fans in here.” John Fay Ace has a library. I never knew that. Yep. Uh it’s not a huge one, but I have a hockey library. You guys are hilarious. Ace can read books. Impressive. You guys are really funny tonight. Let me tell you. Let me tell you something. You guys are real comedians. Brandon, on the bright side, everyone is spamming fire fits in social media and there isn’t any fire ke, which I’m happy. Yeah, I think most people now realize, you know, once once you cycle through some coaches that the one constant uh that has been with this underachieve achieving team for years is the administration specifically fits. And I think at this point now it’s pretty clear to everybody. Brian says, “So help me God. If we find out Jack got hurt doing something totally stupid and it wasn’t a real accident, I will lose my shit.” Well, I don’t know necessarily what sort of idea you have in your head, but I’m fairly certain that the if there is some nefarious or ridiculous story that it certainly will never see the light of day. No one will ever know. And and and I’m fine with that as well. I don’t need to listen, even if it was his fault and it was some dumb kid [ __ ] He’s a 24 year old kid. I couldn’t I I don’t have enough there’s not enough time in a day. [ __ ] there’s not enough time in a week if I have to stay straight awake for a week to enlist all the stupid things that I had done at that age. I mean, granted, I wasn’t, you know, an NHL player making millions. I certainly probably would have reeled it in a little bit if I was, but you know, they’re still kids at the end of the day and it’s unfortunate and maybe it was something dumb, but it doesn’t matter now. It’s water under the bridge. We just need that pinky to heal up and we need him to come back on the ice and start scorching teams. Mark, we need a few older players to be honest. We had Hique, Shanny, Rston, and Marty in in 089, and they made the playoffs. I again, always a nice blend. You need the vets. You need guys who have been there before. And you’re not going to win with just kids or just skill guys. You need a nice blend. Richard, a couple of years ago, our speed skeers flew by people. The league wised up and made adjustments to combat the speed by forcing dumpings, and we lose those board battles too often. Yeah, I think Grits is decent at board battles. Mercer wins them here and there, but in the end it feels like we certainly are on the losing end of those battles more so than on the winning side. And that’s, you know, partially mentality, but it’s also a lot to do with physicality. Like you could have the mentality of whatever, but in the end, you know, if you’re 170 pound guy and you’re trying to go win a board battle against a dude that’s a truck and he’s 220 and a beast, like unfortunately you are outmatched there. There’s only so much you could do. Bobby says, “Brat hasn’t scored a goal since 116 and before that 1022, he’s falling off completely.” I hope he comes back on fire, man. I hope he comes back on fire. Ace, how can you say it was some big ordeal and then not divulge? I’m not sure what that’s what’s in reference to because I’m behind. I’m sorry, David. I went to the Bronx Zoo tonight with my kids to see the whole place lit up. The smile on their faces topped any smile I would have had on my face if I stayed home and watched the game tonight. The Bronx Zoo they do like a little holiday show. Man, I haven’t been to the Bronx Zoo in probably 30 something years. John, if we were talking hockey moves, I think Goon is also a good one to watch. Love Goon. Doug Glatt, what a beast. Natasha does Fitz’s idea of a big move is to bring Sprong back from the KHL. Yeah, totally. Not Not going to move the needle. Oh my man Chase, thank you for the super, sir. Show this guy some support. Best devil’s media coverage in existence. I appreciate you, Chase. Thank you very much, my guy. What a nice thing to say. Check out Chase. Does a lot of cool tech stuff, video game coverage. He’s into all kinds of things. Check him out. Official Chase Broen. I annoy him with YouTube questions all the time. He probably wants to kill me. Uh Goon is phenomenal. Kyle says, “I dangle.” I’d say dangle sallaya for a veteran center who can shoot. I’m not married to any futures, guys. You already know my deal. I’m in totally win now mode and it’s basically win now or don’t win for a long time. Um, and Salive is not part of a win now mentality. Nice piece to talk about for the future. Um, but if there’s a right deal that comes along, I’m certainly moving on from him in any other futures piece. Lando. This is gonna Lando. Trying to figure this out. Lando Taku. Lando Taku. Your pronunciation of my name is good enough. Ace. Just keep it up with the awesome content. You’re the only one on here who puts up consistent and quality content about the team. Much respect. Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Jack, do you think players and coaches are throwing furniture and equipment in the locker room? No, I don’t think so. I don’t think so. I think that’s a very old school kind of thing. In reality, I don’t think guys even care that much. And that’s the sad part. Like, do they even care? Do they care as much as all of you fine folks in here right now? And and me, do they care as much as we care? Probably not. The unfortunate reality, they probably don’t. There might be a couple that do, but by and large, they probably don’t. I want guys on the team that that losing keeps them up at night, that losing infuriates them, that it it really just messes with their psyche. I don’t know that we have that type of player. Insane Pollock. I’m gorging myself on milk chocolate coins now to cure my depression. Thanks, New Jersey Devils. I wish I had some chocolate coins nearby to cure my depression. All I have is Tamana uh tequila. Shout out to all of you. Chocolate coins would have been nice though. Natasha, I was absolutely swimming without hockey this summer and nothing going on in the hockey world. I refuse to let a lack of hockey content ruin my summer this summer. I’m going to try to do more cool stuff this summer. I have a lot of ideas. Uh I was I had a I’m not going to get into all that either, but I had a pretty wild personal summer. um that kind of got in the way of a lot of my ideas, but I’m hoping to bring you guys some cool stuff this upcoming offseason, but I I would like to enjoy the season and go on a deep run. I mean, we’re talking about the summer already. That’s depressing. Jack, does Marty Ordano or Bryce talk to the team? I mean, they talk to them in like, you know, uh informal kind of way. Like, do you mean like address them as if like advice? I don’t know what you mean by that. They talk to the team. They’re obviously around the team all the time and talk to guys. The plot contract is a trigger word for me. George Shannon Luke GM and coach if needed too. Oh man. Dez fan goon movie is great. Saw it recently on the plane coming back from Toronto. You just saw it now. John Fe says, “Plot Nico Stammer once Jack returns and if we do get Stamco.” I do think in my head uh the Stamco thing only made sense if Palot wasn’t here just in terms of you know roster construction cap restrictions and all that. Uh for Palot to be here and Stammer even with retention that would certainly mean there would have to be multiple other deals um getting done to free up the cap space needed to fit these guys along with Kovacet Kovich etc. Kyle Stamco is not the kind of competitor there is guy on his way out and took the biggest payday he could. His desire to win is not the same as it used to be. Maybe Natasha says, “I do think if Jack was playing with Stammer, his production would ramp up.” I I believe that as well. Even if he was playing with any competent players here, I think he would be totally revitalized on a team looking to make a playoff push whose season’s not over. Gleason Stammer has 11 points on the first power play. It matters if someone is able to play. He’s actually old, not like 34 if you pay out the and you have to pay out the ass to get him half retained to make it reasonable. We don’t know that. Again, my my the crux of my argument for him is this. The deal has to make sense. I’m certainly not looking to give up a ton of assets for him or pay anywhere near his full contract at the right price. It would be an interesting move. Bobby, thank you for the super. Brat might be having the most disappointing start so far. No goals since 116 and before that 1022, he’s severely struggling. Not sure what happened. I mean, listen, I’ll take his assists over nothing. There’s guys that are that are doing nothing, but I do agree he’s got to score more for sure. Yeah. 116. Wow. It’s a over a month and then that and there was two weeks. Yeah. I mean, that’s a lot. It’s disappointing, guys. But at least he’s still he’s still he’s still contributing in some way. Kyle said, “I’d rather stam coast than nobody.” Of course. Jonathan Decker says, “I love Keith, but would like to see the locker room speeches after these losses, not just the wins.” That certainly would be interesting. David, so many people shaking their head on Stam Coast. Look at Marshian for example. He’s basically the same age and the Panthers got him last year and look what he did to help win the cup. Yeah, I mean and and people said Broski was old and he had his, you know, back-to-back cup wins. Um I’m not I’m not concerned especially there’s only two years left on his deal after this. That’s a win now move. Try to win a cup right now. The next three years you’d have Stammer for this year and two more. Richard, how old is Crosby? How old is Marshan? How old is Malin? How old is Obie? All still productive. Bring Stam in with reasonable deal. These are all winners. Completely agree. When you could get a bonafideed legend of the sport on a fair deal that’s not completely crippled, you do it. Completely agree, Kyle. Honestly, maybe Quinn is a solution right now. He’s such a stud. He might be able to spark the players in the slump right now potentially. potentially if there’s a sensible deal on the table for Quinn, I say pull the trigger on that as well. Guys are doing the my cousin Vinnie quotes here. two utes. Uh John Fay, if Fitz wants to save his job and his ass from the hot seat, he would bring in two or hell, maybe three more big names besides Stammer if we were get to get Stammer. I mean, listen, I’m not going to lie. If he somehow pulled off Stammer and Quinn Hughes, uh, color me ecstatic. Stammer and Quinn Hughes would be quite quite the uh quite the gets, you know. Now, if you start talking about more players than that, maybe you’re getting greedy. But Stammering Quinn Hughes would certainly be amazing. or, you know, there’s other guys, too. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a player as big as Quinn Hughes. I mean, that’s that’s going to be a monster deal. I can’t see that being done quickly, if I’m being honest. I I’d have to think they uh really talk to a lot of teams about that before pulling the trigger because I think there’d be tons of teams interested scanning the comments here. Yeah, this is a funny one. Does Die Hard counts? You’re talking about as a Christmas movie. One of my one of my buddies used to have this argument with so many people. His argument was that Die Hard is a Christmas movie. I said it wasn’t, but I don’t know. I’d be curious what is the what is the general consensus on that? I I feel like I guess it is. You know, it’s a bit of a stretch, but I suppose it could slide in there. Um, but he was he was adamant that it was a Christmas movie. And it’s funny you mentioned that I had sent him a photo. Where was I? I don’t know if you’re going to be able to see this. Uh, I was somewhere where they had tip cups and there was like a little print out and it said, “Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?” And like there was a tip cup that said absolutely and one that said no way. Uh is pretty funny. That was like a couple weeks ago. Whoa. I mean I think if we’re being fair, I think Home Alone is is way more of a Christmas movie than Die Hard, but My buddy Goody says, “Diehard Elf, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, and Jingle All the Way. Sean Avery has a book, huh?” I think I I vaguely remember seeing something about that. Frank says, “About the streaks, the 2324 Oilers won 16 in a row after starting the season 29 and one. The 29 and one start included two four-game losing streaks.” H no, but I want the exact numbers. An eightgame winning streak and a five-game losing streak in the same season. My buddy Goody says, “Surviving honorable mention surviving Christmas. Gandalfini is great in that.” I don’t think I ever I never saw that. I’m going to have to watch that. Surviving Christmas. very soon, Brandon. Very, very soon. Stay tuned. And also stay tuned for the giveaway show. The giveaway show is going to happen soon. I’m hoping to announce it the date of it in the next couple days. It’s going to happen before the holidays. Hopefully, barring any other setbacks, and I’ve had plenty of them in life, uh the holiday giveaway show is going to be one for the ages, and there’s going to be a lot of ways to win. Uh I would recommend to follow me on Twitter and also follow me on Instagram because there’s going to be certain things that are that are probably given away on those platforms specifically, obviously, as well as here. But there’s going to be a bunch of different ways to win and things. And the more you know to best your chances, follow your boy on everything. Snow Devil says, “Attendance’s going down at the Rock because we pay to watch Jack play.” I mean, again, time of year, holidays, team struggling. It’s a lot a lot of elements coming together to suppress demand in my opinion. Yeah. FA. Uh, merry Christmas little fellow. We all know that you’re in there and you’re all alone. What a great movie, Mark. A lot of folks here attacking a guy who’s 35. Imagine the meltdowns they would have had with the 0809 roster. It’s true. Every, you know, people are fans nowadays think 32 is dead. Jason know, I’m sick of the excuses with this team. It’s a pattern with the team. They’re not good enough to win a cup yet. What are we doing here? It’s time for change. Certainly time for change. Grabbing Stam Coach would literally be picking up other team scratchs scraps as Fitz has been doing for years. We need some real players in their prime. Who Who do you think you’re getting in their prime? Win now, baby. George says, “Everyone realizes Stamos turns 36 in two months.” Oh my god, the horror 36. Maybe they’ll have to install a special wheelchair ramp for him to get in the locker room. Let Let’s have them start constructing it now. like 36. Yeah, he’s here for two more years. Would be hypothetically two more years. Like what what is the concern? What is the concern? Buzz, your girlfriend. Woof. Stam Stamco’s turning 36. makes him a spring chicken next to Donov. Man, Mark Riches missing the playoffs could be more probable than making them, which would approach fandom termination territory. Man, I I’m always going to be a fan, but wow. Ted says, “As fits on the hot seat.” I’d like to think so, but if I’m being honest, I don’t think so. I don’t think so. Gleason says, “All these moves require fits to even move a player like Plot and Douggee first. I don’t know if he can do either successfully. I agree that one or both would have to be moved either in a three-way deal, a separate deal, whatever it is, but you’d imagine if any impactful moves are going to be made that uh one or both of them will certainly be gone. I mean, I think that that’s I think that’s super uh a super reasonable expectation. Every game counts. Every single one. It really does. My tree is sad. My tree is sad. I’m usually a real tree guy, but I got a lot going on in life. I might not get a big one. I have a small one right now. I and I might, as much as it pains me and I make fun of my family and friends for it, I might I might get a fake one tomorrow. I thought about it, but then I was like, do I even care? Like, do I even really care? Like, I don’t know. Uh, David Chimes says, “Don’t laugh, but I just saw Home Alone today for the first time.” Time out. David Chimes, this can’t be real. David Chimes, how old are you? I believe you’re 40 plus. How are you 40 years old plus and seeing Home Alone for the first time today? I This might be the most shocking stat I’ve ever heard in my life. More shocking than Tom Fitzgerald still having a job here is that you saw Home Alone for the first time today, December 6th, 2025, 30 some odd years after the movie originally came out. How is that possible? Mark in 089. Shanny was 40, Hik was 38, Rston was 36, Marty was 37, and y’all are complaining about a 35-year-old guy. The PLA plot plot contract definitely caused trauma. Oh, yeah. It’s going to be it’s going to be felt um forever. People will be referencing it anytime someone brings up a guy over 30 years old. Oh, what do you want? Another pant. Surviving Christmas. Ben Affleck’s in it and Gandalfini. Did I see that? Maybe. Let me see. I don’t think I’ve seen this. Will you dress up as Santa? Possibly. Do you want me to dress up as Santa, Stephen? Season’s going to be over by January. I hope not. That would be disgusting. That would really break my heart if the season’s over anytime soon. To be watching meaning fair or somewhat meaningless games would be would be devastating. Brandon 2223 Devils had a 13game win streak in a fiveame. Okay. Losing St. Louis in 2024 a 12 game and a five plus losing streak happened 12 times in NHL history. Okay. I’m curious then. What about eight and eight? If eight What about eight eightgame winning streak and an eightgame losing streak in the same season for Christmas is a great movie. Obie’s built Obie’s totally different a total specimen unlike anything we’ve ever seen. And great point, Devil Dog. O’Reilly turns 35 in two months and everyone wants him, right? What is the difference? I’m 27 and the way people talk about being over 25 makes me feel like I’m ready to retire in a few years. Yeah, I don’t know where this sentiment came, but a lot of it has to do with Pot for sure. The Palot PTSD will live on uh for a very long time. Can we bring Lou back? I can’t see it happening, but I wouldn’t be against it. I think there could be potentially better options out there, but Devs fan Lou at the Devs was bringing back too many retreads. That being said, he did a better job as Isles gym than Fitz has been doing here. Yeah. Okay. How many How many playoff rounds did the Islanders win when Lou was there? Wait, when did Lou go to the Islanders? Yeah, they got to the conference finals twice. I’m too lazy to do it, but they’ve won way more playoff rounds in a few years than the Devils have in 13 years. Let that sink in. I’m rocking a 9 foot fugazi tree. It’s glorious. Everyone doing small trees and fake ones cuz Fitz ruined Christmas. Uh Home Alone 2 is better. Interesting. I mean, I love them both. I love them both. They’re both I mean I will say to me the best the the two of the best sequels now it’s very rare that a sequel is better than the original but in my opinion the two and I’m not going to say that they’re better than the originals but the two sequels in my opinion in in life that weren’t a basic like an epic disappointment that are kind of almost right there with the original for me is Home Alone 2 and D2. Mighty Ducks 2 was also phenomenal. D2 and Home Alone 2. Two of my favorite twos. I’m 50. This is true. Laughed. More into art films. I mean, listen, you could be into whatever films you want, but Home Alone is like pop culture royalty. Harry, dress up as Elf. I don’t know about that. I think Santa’s easier. Kevin Mallister in the grocery store looking for a toothbrush. Excuse me, ma’am. Is this toothbrush approved by the what does he say that the American Dental Association? Ace, I must ask, how is Polar Express not one of your top five? It’s almost a childhood classic. I don’t know. I was never into that sort of stuff. I don’t know. I never really got into the kitty. I mean, there’s a couple, I guess. I don’t know if I could nudge out at my other ones, though, for Polar Express. Jason know we’ve been in the longest rebuild ever and we’ve messed it up. We still messed it up. Godfather 2 and Rocky 2. Yep. Some other great ones. I guess if you’re just looking to I mean I’m sure can do you want to count Gremlins as a Christmas movie? Suppose you could then um Jim carries Dr. Seuss. How the Grinch stole Christmas is also a good one. Justin says, “Win now but pay for future benefits. Man got paid. He’s too goofy. Luke lacks raw talent besides stride and length of stretch. Emotional growth lacking to loose a contract. Oh, he attacked me on some some nonsense on X. Um because I got into a little argument with his with his buddy and then he decided to like take random shots at me and I was like, “Bro, like what?” Like, “Okay.” Uh, him and his buddy got beaten beaten pretty thoroughly handled in a conversation. I forget I forget all the specifics about it. Uh, I think it had something to do with people refusing that um, you know, physicality mattered in hockey if I’m not mistaken. And it may have been talking about the Panthers. Hold on. I’m trying to Yeah. So, he called me I’m just looking here. Yeah. They got smacked down in an argument and look stupid for stupid takes, which that happens sometimes. Take your L and move on. But then he called me a petty tiny little man. Uh it was it was basically involving one of his buddies in analytics um when he was comparing sprung to like the greats of the game. He was and basically people called it out for garbage and he was saying like the analytics on sprung or amongst like McKinnon and and McDavid and Pastnack and it was all crazy stuff like come on man this is when analytics have gone too far. how are you remotely mentioning sprung in the same breath and and I don’t care what it is to even to to even try to draw a parallel to greats of the g current superstar players and so he was called out for it and they look stupid and then he went on a tangent and I’m just trying to see if I could find here amongst the things that he said that was just petty and like listen I could take arguments but when you make personal attacks because again they got exposed and and and made to look stupid um he called me a petty tiny little man with no integrity whatsoever And then he also said uh called me a grifter and a petty [ __ ] There was more, but I’m not going to waste any more time on this, but was completely over the line and it was like buddy like okay. But you know that’s people get really in their feelings when they get embarrassed and him and his buddy were embarrassed. It is what it is. Accountant 2 was excellent. Anchor man too. Jay Snow, we just lost to Boston without Pasta and Makavoy. I’m ready to blow this garbage up. Fitz also gave everyone a no move clause, so good on him. There’s still a way out. I do believe a competent GM could fix this team for this season. I really do. I really do. Original Miracle on 34th Street. Best Christmas movie. John Candy and Joe Peshy and Home Loan both made me lose my today. Not lying about seeing it for the first time. It’s crazy. Harry David Ace. Can you imagine what Fitz would uh Fitz would think if he was signed in here reading all these comments on a name that wasn’t him so we didn’t know it was him? I certainly hope he has better things to do than that. Um, yeah, he’s definitely not in here reading this, but that is hilarious. A hilarious thought, but there’s no way. Miracle on 34th and it’s a wonderful life. Make me cry like a dirty every time. Uh, it’s a whole long story that I don’t know that I’m ever going to tell. But basically, I was wronged. I’ll just leave it at I got screwed over. That’s it. End of story. Amagi, Chico used to butt heads with you a bit, but I didn’t know it got this out of hand. just figured he dipped or something. Kind of forgot. Yeah. No, it’s just all stupid. And I And maybe he thought I would forget, you know, that this was months ago. But game 30, he couldn’t stay away. He had to come. He couldn’t stay away, but I guess he thought I was going to forget. I don’t forget. When you talk smack, I I remember. And again, I a lot of you have talked smack to me about, you know, arguments and stuff, and that’s fine, but like when you call me names and make it personal, like then I think you’re a scum. John Fay, uh, so did I. Even in this chat, I believe two seasons ago, he used to butt heads with Ace. I don’t know who that’s about. Planes, trains, and automobiles. Sleeper, we all forgot about Steve Martin and John Candy. Jay Snow, the core of Nico, Brat, and Mercer. just isn’t it? And Jack’s always hurt. That’s kind of the realization I had tonight. Um, you know, uh, we’ve seen this movie before and so I don’t I’m I’m now unfortunately coming to grips with the fact that barring some major changes, we’re headed for the same ending. More of the same. either missing the playoffs if nothing is done, which again history has suggested that nothing will be done. Missing the playoffs or getting dusted pretty quick in the first round at best case scenario. Usually I keep receipts in some instances for sure. Good night, Frank. What if SSD has been fits all along? Oh god. Crazy Alex, good night. I don’t know what to think, but I think we are in for a rough one. I guess we’re in for a rough one. I think so. Natasha, I’m just waiting for the celebration day live fits fired. Well, the celebration will be heard around the world. Amagi, that was a fist bump. What happened to Ace was different. I feel like I’m not sure what that’s about. If you could clarify. Watching other teams rebuild ahead of us is sickening. Richard says, “Rocky, yo, is this place closed to the general public or can anyone come in here, Jake, which of the core four do you think would be most likely to be traded if one was to be dealt?” O I’d said this before, but due to process of elimination, probably Brad, if I had to guess. And then I think the next one would be Nico just because of his contract situation. I don’t think Jack would ever be considered for a trade and I think Teemo I think the the team realizes Teemo is the only bull we have up front so you can’t trade him and so by process of elimination that leaves you Bradder and Nico Francis Ace if you’re curious I sent you the win streak and losing streak stats on your last tweet. Thanks. I’ll check that out after uh after I get off of here. This is going to be a sea of things to comb through. I haven’t really looked at it uh since right before I came on here. Amagi, part of me wishes Fitz would do a presser, but I also feel the questions would not only be soft, but Fitz’s answers would be even more uh would be even softer. Systematic type yes. Yeah, there’s no real media. I mean, they don’t want real media. They they pick and choose. They do their little, you know, merry goround and on and on we go. I doubt he has a real media availability for quite some time. And if they make a big trade, I suppose he’ll come out of hiding. But John says, “If Fitz does a presser, you know how many people in the chat would ask for his head?” Are you talking about on the stream? If a trade is made, how quickly would you do a live stream? Probably pretty quick, depending. Depends. Avery’s book is a romance novel about a hockey player. Oh, I have no interest. I thought it was more autobiographical. Yeah, Brat for sure. Doug says, “Misery, misery, misery. That’s what we’ve chosen. Richard, back to hockey. This and had to be the backbreaker loss. They’ve got to make a move by the end of the week. I agree, but I’m not counting on it. Chicago cut when the season went arry. I’ll be right back, folks. I got to use the bathroom real quick. We’ll slowly start winding down. Appreciate you all coming out on this devastating eve. It’s devastating evening where your New Jersey Devils, my New Jersey Devils, our beloved New Jersey Devils have lost a fifth consecutive game. At least they scored tonight, but it was only one. a a a big a big step in the right right direction from being shut out for the prior two. But one goal for tonight in a very painful loss to the Boston Bruins in Boston. Um Brat, he plays the same game as Jack but doesn’t score. I take a drunk bill over fits. Bungie, I’m going to go to bed. Sorry if the brain cells everyone lost my rambles. Keep up the great work, Ace. Thanks, man. Have a good night. Get your rest. Romance is pushing it. Avery’s book is more of a smut book than romance. What is he writing? Like porn fiction. I didn’t know he had that in him. Chicago cut equals the shining Jack Nicholson photo. Uh, this photo will go down in history. Wonder how the stake is there. It’s probably pretty good. I’d imagine. Looks like we’re in for a long dark winter. Burn that photo. Look at the standings for I’ll be right back. Using the facilities. I’m going to grab a water. Uh be right back. Comments, questions. I like the suggestions. If you got the suggestions, throw them out there. I’m always about the suggestions, so I I would look forward to more of those. Uh throw them out. be back in two minutes and we’ll start winding this thing down. It’s Saturday night, so you know, if there’s still some folks in here and there’s some good questions or comments going, I’ll stay around for a minute for a little bit. Uh I have nowhere to be other than in my postgame depression when I do my postgame routine, but uh be right back. Two minutes. Two minutes. And we’re back. And we are back. We are back. We can’t burn the photo. Uh oh. Wow. I want to know what the scouting team saw in Lamo. Man, I hate seeing that guy’s face. Um, uh, I don’t know. They probably looked at the same charts that some of these other people do. They get they they get lost in the sauce. They get so high on their own analytics and their nonsense that they contort reality and convince themselves that they see something that no one else saw. No other team, no none of the other 31 teams in the league saw. And this guy was this gem of a find playing overseas for several seasons, three seasons I believe. And he was stuck in Switzerland because no one saw these charts and these amazing statistics and underlying metrics that they found that no one else saw. and they were going to get this guy and it was going to end up being something of substance and unfortunately it wasn’t. I mean, shocker, right? Color me shocked. No, I mean, let’s be real. That that was known to be what it was going to be from day one. You hope that maybe one time they do get lucky on something like that, but come on, man. Guy was playing overseas for three years. You You rarely ever see a thing like that where uh outside of like the KHL stuff and there’s a whole bunch of other elements involved in there. And the KHL is probably or not probably is the best league that’s not the NHL. Um a very big difference from the Switzerland league. Brat would fetch a hall. I would hate to lose Bradder, but if we’re at that, I mean, listen, like I said, I don’t want to trade anybody, but sometimes you got to make the hard decisions and it should be time to explore every avenue available right now because this team is going nowhere fast. Jason knows after the Jack injury to calm down the speculation. That ain’t going to happen. They don’t want to deal with the, you know, they don’t want any sauce. Snow Devil, if we do add big pieces, we won’t have the cap for both Nemo and Grits extensions. We’ll have to trade one. Um, not necessarily. I mean, you know, there’s both possibly retention situations, but Douggee and Palad is 15 million combined. Obviously, now they need to free up four million for Kovich as it is. Um, but there’s moves that could be made. Jay knows the Quinn move is so stupid. I mean, I I can’t say it’s stupid anytime, no matter the position, if you have the inside track to handle, if you have the inside track to get a superstar elite player, you got to explore it. And the Devils are in that position right now. Hey, Russo, I speak for 99% of the people here. Appreciate you doing this for all of Bro, thank you. I think you something’s missing there, but I kind of get the gist. Thank you. I appreciate that. always like hanging out with you fine folks and just again we we haven’t been celebrating much at all. It’s been mostly you know uh commiserations and and group therapy and whatever else but it’s it’s much more tolerable with all of you fine folks than just stewing to myself uh with all of these thoughts and rage trapped inside me. Jay know we have no forwards who can score already. 360. Who is your major shakeup core player trade that is not Brady Kachchuck? I mean, I don’t think Brady’s realistic. I’ve said it a million times, but I’ll still always dream about it. Another one that’s a pipe dream probably is Tae Thompson. I don’t know. I don’t know who’s realistically available or could be traded, but something along those lines where a guy is brought in that’s going to have an impact that clearly pushes the team in a different direction or I’ll say for lack of a better term diversifies the portfolio of the forward group because right now the portfolio is very much the same. A lot of repetitive type of pieces. We need some some different pieces in that portfolio and they need to be some gritty guys. Skilled grit warriors. Guys are going to get dirty, get down and dirty and do what it takes to win. Show me some fire. Show me some fire. Oh, Turo, my man Brian, you’re up late tonight, bro. I didn’t know you had this in you. You must be all fired up after this horrific loss, too. Lethal weapon, too. a hockey spring golf guy. Would Quinn even want to come at this point? Both bottom feeder teams. Listen, if we didn’t have his brothers, no, he wouldn’t want to come here. But guess what? Guess what? Oh, that’s right. We do have his brothers. So, we are the only team on planet Earth in the NHL or any league else throughout the globe that has both of his brothers locked up long term as players for the New Jersey Devils. And for that reason, regardless of where we stand today, of course, he has interest in coming here. His brothers are the main draw. And knowing the type of guy that he probably is, he has faith in his ability. And even if we are a bottom feeder right now, in his mind, I’m going to go there and play with my brothers and we’re going to win a cup. Now, whether that happens or not, totally different story. But I believe that he would believe that that he probably believes no matter what team he goes to, he’s going to make them a contender. So, it won’t be any different when he’s looking at a team that has his brothers. The 1% was Chico. He had to go to bed early. Oh god. Amagi, we were a bit late to the Rock the other day for a game and we were walking behind Lamako’s wife and his two kids like by the parking garage entrance area. Kyle, as much as I hate Avery, that era of hockey was just so much more fun to watch, especially as a Devils fan. Obviously, we were relevant and we were good every year. I mean, obviously that’s more fun. Naked Gun, too. Santa Claus, too. Yeah, I’m still alive, man. Late one for sure. Saturday night special. Saturday night special. Kyle, uh, I worry that we’ll never get the same vibe of the 2000 Devils again in our lifetime. We’re so far away from what we were. Listen, if that’s the bar, then you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. It could never be that no matter what. But it’s but that’s there’s there’s oceans of difference between that time period and where we are now. Many oceans. Just close the gap a little bit. Just get us anywhere remotely resembling that. Will it ever be that again? No, guys. And it can’t be. And the reality is you have to realize we had all-time greats and amazing depth players. You’re talking about the greatest goalender of all time to do it and Martan Broaddur between the pipes. Then you had two of the greatest defenseman of all time. one of the defensive murderer variety in Scott Stevens and the other one in the smooth skating effortless hockey genius in Scott Neermmyer and then those are just you know from the net and defense three all-time greats and then over the years just a rotisserie of amazing forwards and role players whether it was you know the Patrick Elashes Alexander McGillnis Peter Sakuras the uh you know Arnauts Billy Garens I mean you just go through the years and you just great players great depth of def, you know, great um complimentary other guys in the DOR, whether it was, you know, Kenny Dano, Colin White, I mean, just Rafalski, just the names go on and on. Malikov in 2000, solid guys 95 like Chambers, I mean, just great pieces all around those guys for that whole run. And you’ll never see anything like it again. It will never be duplicated. But just get me something remotely even resemblance of any kind. We are so removed from that. Ryan says, “I think I speak for everyone here when I say win or lose always the devil’s fan and we will go down with the ship.” You guys know I will. You know I will Justin says disturbing the piece I got thrown out of a window. Not Tasha. Wait, Ryan, how old are you? When did your fandom start? Kyle, I listened to it too. Guy’s a tool kind of entertaining, though he’s a total hypocrite talking about dress codes. What is that in reference to? Oh. Oh, chicklets. Trevor says the quinn move only makes sense for the right price and if other significant pieces are brought in people bashing SST brand says nothing fits is not going to make a single move. It’s very possible. It’s very possible. Brandon says, “Come on, guys. Don’t get fooled. Three seasons in a row Fitz making a move.” Kyle says, “I miss when players had personality.” A lot of them still do. You just don’t have the opportunity to see it, unfortunately. There are guys that have personality. I do think this is a thing that has been lacking in hockey media or hockey as a sport in general that they can market the players so much better and really show some of their great personalities. And I’ve I’ve had the the good fortune or whatever you want to call it over the years of talking to a million players um and some of them are just absolute gems. Absolute gems. But unfortunately, we don’t get to see it too often. And I wish there, you know, that we could see more of it. Love the Saturday night special, Trevor. We need to boycott the Rock until moves are made. Let’s get this movement started. I mean, listen, it’s hard for me to, you know, the only time I really did a boycott was was was when I was fed up in the 23 24 season and I I told everybody that I would not buy tickets to any more games until they got a goalie. I just could not. I was losing my mind because it was one of the most painful things like to watch a team slowly slowly slip out of the playoffs because we couldn’t get a goalie. It was very frustrating for me to watch. But outside of that, it’s hard for me not to go to games. I love this team. I love the sport. Always support the team. But um you know, at times like this, it is a little bit harder to I really couldn’t I thought about all day going to the game last night, not the Bruins game. I guess the Bruins game now was last night, but the uh Golden Knights game at the Rock and I just couldn’t drag myself to do it. Patrick Elos, great player. That’s Patrick with a K, sir. There’s no CK. It’s P A T R I K. That is a pet peeve of mine. I’m not going to lie. Guy was here for so long. Hey, Russo, I think we need two pieces. Kyu and Sherwood out Douggee Palot. Mad picks and mad prospects of win now mode. I would take Kyu and Sherwood. That those would be nice pieces. The rebuild is a failure. John faces rather go down with the ship than jump ship. I’m with you. Oh my god. Chico’s tweeting at me right now. Dude, these these are the type See, like it’s one thing, dude. Unbelievable. Hold on one second. I’m tweeting back to this idiot. What a clown. This clown just tweeted at me. I’m going to lose my mind. He’s one of these pathetic people. I probably will now. He’s left me no choice. If he just kept his mouth shut, I I would have let him talk amongst you guys. I wouldn’t have shown his comments or paid him any mind. But he’s literally tweeting nonsense here. I thought he had m you had mature tagged me, matured a bit, but I see you’re still a dishonest, petty, pathetic little man. What is dishonest? I literally read what he said. He attacked me personally after he got embarrassed and now he’s coming back for more. Like, bro, take your L and move on. Get a life. These people have problems, Larry. Well, it was about uh the same time of year that they fired their GM and hired an unknown Lou. Um, we need another centers. When Jack goes down, it eases the blow. Yeah. And and beyond that, even when fully healthy, it’d be nice to have Jack, Nico, third line center brought in Glass as 4C. Hold on, guys. Yeah, this is going to get hilarious. Some people don’t know when to just stop. He’s apparently one of them. Uh when we get Quinn, whatever that is, we need uh then we have two Hughes that get injured often. Hold on, guys. Hold on. At this point, I trade all the Hughes brothers for a chubby hook and a wheel of forms on cheese. What? Uh, Trevor, what I really don’t get is that Fitz hoards all these futures and he won’t be here to see them play. Trade the futures for a win. Now, you would think, but the reality is he he may be here long term, guys. like everyone’s calling him, you know, calling for his head. And I do believe at this point it’s severely justified because of the fact that we have seen this exact movie for the past two seasons. The inability to address inability or whatever you want to call it again, unwillingness, whatever, to address problems. Um, and we don’t want to see another season go down the tubes. And so I do think it’s all fair and and it’s going to be deafening. The the the the noises, the the chatter of all this is going to be deafening. Snow Devil, from what I hear, grits has personality and puts on display on his Telegram, but I don’t speak Russian or have Telegram. I see other people repost and I think they have to translate it. Um, win or lose, we Hughes just Trevor, maybe we could trade fits for Avery. Oh god, I hate Sean Avery with every fiber of my being. I’d never give him money. I will say though, he is I do think he like calls things as it is and like unfiltered. I do appreciate that about him in his post playing career. Larry says, “Of course you make us wait while you tweet him back. You’re like a goldfish.” What does that mean? Yo, Larry Larry’s made a lot of kind of off comments, too. I’m kind of getting tired of Larry, too. I’m not even going to lie. I might just start booting people if you aggravate me. I just I just don’t want to be aggra. What does that even mean? I’m like a goldfish. What does that mean, Larry? I’m like a goldfish. I’m so sorry that you know that that I’m not entertaining you enough, Larry. Tell me. Tell me what I’m doing wrong, Larry. Please tell me. I want to make Larry happy. I want Larry to be happy, guys. Larry, what does that mean? I’m like a goldfish. Anyone have Chico? Are you talking about Chico Rash? Ryan, Jack is a superstar and we were lucky to have him because anyone team would love to have him. Yeah, but he’s got to he’s got to uh stay healthy and unfortunately in in an unprecedented situation, I never would have dreamed he would be out for two months due to a steakhouse related incident at a rookie team dinner. Like that was not on my bingo card. And I don’t think anyone saw that coming. That’s completely just insane and unfathomable. And it’s bad luck. It’s truly bad luck. And that’s why I really believe the injury curse is real. Guys, oh, thanks. Sean Avery is a disgrace to the human race. Fentel Floyd can’t wait till Fitz’s 2026 post deadline press conference. At the end of the day, the asking prices just didn’t line up with where we are as an organization right now. No one’s going to accept that anymore. You could get away with that for a couple years to the people that don’t know any better. Um, you could get away with that to the people that don’t know any better, but yeah, Chico’s having a tantrum because he’s been exposed. I don’t even care. Night. Oh, he blocked me. Oh no, he blocked me. He blocked me. Man, talk about talk about you just guys witnessed everything that’s wrong with the internet and people that do this stuff. He blocked me. So there you see it, guys. He personally attacked me. Just for the record, and I will put the receipts out. I mean, I’m not even going to waste my time. I have receipts, but I don’t need to. Everything I said is true. He called me all these names, personally attacked me. Then after I made a quick comment and did not really give it too much time on here, when he tried to crawl back in here and I called him out on it, he probably thought I’d forget, which I don’t. When you act like a slime to me, I won’t forget it. And you say personal attacks, which he did. Again, a lot of you, we’ve gotten fights and I’m cool with it. I’m not that guy. But if you personally attack me and call me names and say outrageous stuff, then we’re not cool anymore. Fighting is one thing, but personal attacks is different. He personally attacked me. He He stayed away all season. He came back in here today thinking that I don’t know what he thought that he thought I was going to forget. No, my memory I I don’t forget uh dirty people like you that do stuff like that. So, he came in here and I quickly called him out on it and then he threw a tantrum, tried to attack me again and then I point out the hypocrisy of his nonsense where it’s like, “Buddy, I’m on defense here just pointing out what you had done, throws a tantrum, and then blocks me.” Good riddens, man. People like this I want no part of. I’m so sorry. I have no patience. I have no anything for this. And then he goes and block he he writes something else and then blocks me. Yeah, he was right. He attacked what my dumb ass can’t understand without any context and twisted words and straight up lie. And you are in fact a pathetic little man. At this point, you’ll probably stay that way for other than he blocked me. Thank God. I hope I never see or hear his name again. He is the problem with the world today. Summarized in one internet [ __ ] And on that note, we go back to the chat. We go back to the chat. Crazy. Alex, I’m back in the tracks. I can’t sleep. Yeah, John Fay, dishonest. You are the most honest person I think I know. Not personally. That is some unemployed behavior. I’m sure Marty had some choice things to say about Avery’s book. I don’t think Marty, you know, Marty’s anytime he’s been asked about it, he seems kind of indifferent. Uh, it is kind of funny. um you know how that whole feud kind of took on a life of its own and somewhat into their post playing careers cuz Avery has talked about it on plenty of shows. Um and it’s kind of funny. Brandon said, “I’m surprised he didn’t block you. He blocked.” No, he did block me. That’s the final that’s the final uh you know that’s the final maneuver when these people throw a tantrum and they’ve firmly lost uh then they throw the block like oh no please don’t block me after you get called out for attacking me then he’s the victim get lost I have no time for people like that show is still on yo Holmes this is Saturday night edition people are drowning this kid in the in the in the chat. Justin says, “I know one thing. Everyone hates the Rangers.” Chico’s typical Gen Z. It could be. I don’t know how old he is. I don’t even care. But these people do like to claim victimhood. Start start things and then get and then they’re the victim. I can’t wait for robots to shake their jobs and had it. Ah, easily distracted. Yeah, Larry’s on thin ice, guys. What do you I’ll take a group vote on Larry. I could do without him. I could do without Larry. He’s just saying the tons of nonsense. What do you guys think about Larry? I’m on the fence and I hate booting people, but I’m curious what you guys think about Larry. I’m I’m kind of at my end with him, too. easily distracted. Oh, I’m so sorry. Yeah, tell Larry to I’m so sorry, Larry, that you know, after two hours of non-stop talking, maybe going on three three hours potentially. I don’t even know what the clock after three hours, I paused for a minute to defend myself against against baseless attacks on on another social media platform, and you threw and you threw a a hissy fit. Yeah, it seems like no one’s going to side with Larry here either. Uh yeah. Hey, sounds like that scene in the big Labowski. No, you mean you see what happens, Larry? Do you see what happens, Larry? One of my favorite scenes in that movie. A great movie. Uh yeah, I’m getting aggravated tonight, Kyle. People are really annoying me. Not sure it’s the personal tax. The crappy devil’s team’s enemy. I you know well people people kind of want to know what happened now I don’t know if you came here afterwards or not but people are somewhat invested in the drama I don’t you know I don’t fixate on this stuff but it kind of happened in real time here and so unfortunately as a result of explaining the story to people uh you know it’s unfortunate that there’s going to be some attention given but I’m certainly not you dwelling on it. If we would trade Jack, we’d have to trade a bunch of players because we all see the team plays without him. Jack’s never getting traded. Amagi, don’t worry. Ace Salive is going to be a superstar on the M $50 because no one wants to show up after the legendary Fitz fumble. Man, Mechanicsville Ace, I love you, man. Take a break. This losing streak isn’t the end of the world. Take a break for a day or two, man. I can’t take a break. And I’m not saying it’s the end of the world, but this team is at the crossroads of are you going to continue down the same road and go nowhere? Or are you going to make meaningful moves and try to salvage a season that was once so promising and quickly went south when our superstar got injured? John Face, we fight with you over hockey and other stuff, but when it gets personal, that’s another level of scum. But completely agree. Listen, I fight with some of my best friends regularly, but there’s not personal attacks and name, you know, doing the stuff that it’s just it’s just unnecessary. Yeah, he’s a child. Justin says, “Thank you for your truth. Thank you for listening.” Uh, Terra says, “You guys think this ace is wild? Just wait for trade deadline day.” Uh, it’ll probably be much more uh calm because I think I’m I’m prepared for it now. I I was so aggravated last year because I was I was I foolishly believed that something was going to happen. Sns, glad you’re coming back to the chat because Larry was getting impatient. I know. Free agency A is the best. Woodson says, “So, how we fixing this team?” I’m curious, Woodson, what do you got? And don’t don’t Woodson give me re give me ones that are at least based in a in a a small iota of reality. Don’t tell me trade the hues because we know that’s not happening. So please don’t waste my time. Give me realistic ones that have a chance at least a small chance of happening. Don’t give me ones that have zero chance. John Fay, we love you Ace. We are glad to have you. Love dealing with our BS and shenanigans even if it’s not hockey on some occasions. No, I like the community for the most part. I I I I really enjoy this. It’s been fun. Um and unfortunately, once in a while, there’s going to be bad actors and and people like that that come along that have to be dealt with. And it’s unfortunate. I don’t like it. I I don’t try to engage in these things, but sometimes people give you no choice. Um and so here we are. Natasha for winning. I’m happy if we’re losing. I’m pissed and not happy. Simple as that. Yeah. Yeah. Uh I’ve been overly positive during a painful losing streak, but this was the end of the line for me. There’s no more positivity to be to have. um this team is what they’ve shown to be without Jack Hughes and something’s got to give or it’s just going to be another season that’s cut shorter than it should have been. That’s that’s just the reality of the situation. You know, they could make some changes and try to salvage the season or we could just watch it slowly slip away. And and and it might not even be that slowly, honestly. It it might it might happen quicker than we ever could have anticipated. No breaks. We love the wins. Uh love the lives, win or lose, man. John Fay, the real MVP of the season, no matter what happens this season, is Ace. Uh I don’t know about that, but I appreciate that. Um season MVP so far. I’m probably gonna get uh some flak for it, but I think I think I’m gonna have to go with I think I’m going to go with Team Omire as of right now. Team Omire, what’s up, Evan? Don’t let the go the trolls get to you. You are the goat. No, I don’t care. I don’t It’s not even about that. But I appreciate that. Just people talk smack and it’s like listen if you’re going to talk smack don’t think that a I’m gonna forget about it and then b I’m going to let you slide. Like no man, you’re getting called on it and then to act like the victim after you’re called on it. Like what? Get lost. Kyle, we buy out Luke and Pot. Um come on. Like this is what you No one’s buying out Luke, guys. We part of um a part of that deal, you know, part of the ideology of it all was that it was the next step in getting Quinn as well. I think that was also part of it. I think they kind of wrapped all that into the math they were doing. and like, “All right, so we have Jack at this price. We give Luke what he wants, get him here, and now we’re kind of on the Quinn Express train because with Luke here longterm, this is it.” Like, yeah, obviously they could try to wait it out and play together when they’re old, like when they’re super old, but who the hell wants to do that? It’d be nice to try to win a cup together, right? Perfect. That has to happen here now or nowhere. Headphones died. Time to turn in. Chowski, the only real change will happen when one of the core four is traded sadly. I agree. And we might be at that time. I’m not saying it’s definite, but I’m I’m pretty close to that at this point. And the questions are more than fair now. We’ve seen this over and over and over again. At what point do you say it’s not working? It’s time to go in a different direction. Stephen Ace, did Tony Soprano die at the end of Sopranos? It’s a tough one. It’s a tough one. I actually don’t. If I had to, you don’t even believe that the writers really have an answer. I mean, obviously they’ve said, you know, no one knows, but like I think they they they played it in that way where, you know, people will talk about it forever. I don’t know that there’s even a real answer to that question. I don’t think there is. All right. I find this so amusing. You can give me the boot. I got a wife, five dogs, a life, other things to fill my time. So then what are you busting my chops for? Like Larry’s another one. He’s talking smack to me. I make a joke and now he gets in his feelings and tells me he has all these other things to do. Okay, Mark, you want realistic moves? Ace, no one gets traded. We get a borderline AHL, NHL, and Ryan Reeves. Wow. I mean, I wouldn’t be shocked. I would not be shocked. I think it’s going to be very minor moves if I had to guess. I mean, that was my guess for the summer. I said a couple bottom six pieces and that basically came to fruition. Obviously, with the cap situation being what it was, we weren’t going to have money available to just go freely spend and add all these pieces and we’re pretty much in a similar situation at the moment. Now, there are paths and avenues to free up money, but like it’s going to go quick. Again, got to free up some money for Kovvich. That’s first things first. And then you’re talking about Grits and Nemo, which are huge wild cards. Like Nemo is going to probably want Luke money. And at this point, how could you look him in the eye and tell him he doesn’t deserve it? He certainly does. Um, and whatever Grits comes in at. And so freeing up a lot of money is it’s freeing up money that’s pretty much already spent. Ryan, believe that not too long ago the Rangers were way behind us in the standings and now all of a sudden they caught up to us and have the same amount of points. It’s sickening and disgusting. Well, that’s what happens when you go on a fivegame losing streak. When you decide to just not win a game for a very long time, that’s that’s going to happen. Teams are going to catch up and pass you. And it sucks. It really really sucks. It’s It’s a very painful thing. Jake, hypothetically, would you trade Mercer for O’Reilly one for one? Uh, no. No, I wouldn’t. That’s That’s just the l that doesn’t you know, you’re you’re addressing one hole by creating another. It makes no sense to me. Amagi, my grits jersey came in. Can’t wait to get it signed on the 28th. Very nice. Positivity has left the chat. Season MVP is Lamico’s agent for getting a contract. Jonath Christy Flannry might get MVP if she forces Fitz to make a trade. I don’t think anyone could force Fitz to make a trade. No, I did not see any of the fights I’ve been on here arguing with people and and being attacked on other social media platforms. It’s been a hell of a night following the loss, let me tell you guys. Running with the woods, I don’t think this team can be fixed. Ace, we’ve tried to add Cotter, Big Mac, Glass, Peshy, Dylan Kova, and we still look like the same. Nothing short of a Guttus and Bennett type would help. I would love Guttus. Such an animal. Such an animal good, but we don’t really need any defenders. We need some some Gudas type or the closest thing we could get to Guttus as a forward. But I don’t I don’t know. It does seem like we’re just living in the tail end of a failed rebuild for sure. Say what you about the team, but Jake Allen is still Jake the Snake. Amy played decent tonight. Uh Bennett has been pretty bad this season actually. John Feay, I agree with Teemo. I would say Mercer. I would say Mercer after being on that small hot streak with those two shorties. But Teimmo and Allen are my MVPs. I feel like as of right now, not the MVPs, but best surprises this season are Nemo and Mercer. I agree with that. We have a vote for Tony died. Luke can be traded. He somehow got fits to not do a no trade clause there. Again, you know that that’s not happening. We’re getting all three Hughes brothers. cuz we’re not shedding any. Of course, Tony got clipped. Teimu says QH will be traded to a contender during the trade deadline. It’s very interesting. Very, very interesting. Yo, some of these comments are hilarious. You guys are funny in the chat. I’m not going to put them all up, but I’m I’m skimming them and I’m dying laughing. Fitz is the cancer. Get rid of the Fitz. Get rid of Fitz. Problem solved. 10 years of Mercer for three years of Ryan O’Reilly. I’m not doing that. Traits. Like and subscribe all you filthy animals. Yeah, thanks. Hit the thumbs up. Um, we don’t win. We don’t win wall battles. We don’t for check. We can’t maintain ozone ozone time or cycle pucks. Yeah, that’s this is all true. This is all true. John Fay going three hours ace must be a new record besides for the postgame lives while watching the game. Um there’s been maybe for a true postgame live it’s up there but there’s been you know deadline day was a very long one. There’s been a couple I think that were like way longer but not after a game. This might be one of the longer postgame ones. uh Flannry with the heat on X the other day. Hopefully she continues with it. I mean, yeah, she’s just saying the obvious. She’s being honest and everyone’s kind of It seems like everywhere you turn right now, people are saying the a very similar thing that we’ve seen this before. Moves need to be made. This team is not good enough without Jack. Period. Period. Evan, if you told me the Devils would have an eightgame winning streak and Nemitz being a good player this year, I would have thought you were crazy for saying the Devils are a second team, second to last place team. Jason knows I wouldn’t trade for Quinn. Ryan needs some bull type forwards drive the play physically in the bottom six. That would be nice. Free agency live as long as 10 hours. It sounds about right. Uh team, of course, the Devils ended up with one of the most injury-prone and the worst one. Woodson, if we sign Nemits, there’ll be no room for Quinn and I will dance in the streets. You don’t You really don’t want Quinn no matter what, Woodson? I’m curious. Talk to me. I’m not I’m not super high on the idea. I’m not I’m not high on the idea. Um but he is a great player. I just wish we could put those assets towards a mega impact forward, but it’s not going to happen. And so if if they’re willing to to make the run at Quinn, I have to just be, you know, embrace it because he is a very good player. Mark said the problem is Fitz and the players both have not been held accountable for anything. That’s kind of true. Fay Ace, would you think I’m wrong if I said I wouldn’t mind getting Ryan Reeves? I mean, he brings the body, the grit, and will drop the gloves when called upon even though he doesn’t score most of the time. Yeah. And listen, I think I’m past that, too. Like, I don’t want an enforcer. While they’re nice to have, he’s just like a probably a slight step above uh McDermad in terms of like skill, like I just I want guys that could play but that are nasty and will fight and hit guys and do all that. Fentanel, if Fitz wants to make a splash, figure out a way to get Stam Co and O’Reilly in the same trade. That would be interesting. I would certainly be interested in seeing what that would look like. Jason know these players play like they don’t care. I’m sick of it. Go shake things up. What’s a no Quinn? We have enough small body players on this team. We need some big mean Dmen. Yeah, but Quinn is just so good that I could overlook it. And I’m a I’m big on the size. Like I I am a a a huge fan and proponent of heavier, edgier, more violent. You guys all know that. But Quinn is a different level of player. Like you have to be fair about it. It’s not like we’re talking about, you know, like a middle of the pack type Dman. We’re talking about the second best Dman in the game today. Mechanicsville, no one who knows Puck wants Quinn Hughes to join New Jersey. I I disagree. I think there’s millions of people that want him. I’m not clamoring and dying for him like many people are, but if there is a sensible trade to be made, I don’t know how you wouldn’t think it makes this team better, especially for a team that’s having such trouble. um generating offense. I don’t know how a 90point defenseman would be something you wouldn’t be at least intrigued by. You know, he could potentially be our leading scorer from the blue line. Let that sink in. Brandon, what’s interesting in this court uh is that the winning streak and big losing streak in one season twice and it’s rare. So, this team is just inconsistent. Yeah, completely inconsistent. Running with the Woodson has be money for offense. People who score one goal in two years, Mark, yet the ownership care is being viewed through our eyes. Billionaires live completely different lives than us. They may as well be aliens, maybe. Marissa, Jack, Brat, and Nico are all small businesses players. What is businesses players? Teemo. They’re all the same generation, but she’s definitely a billion times better than the guy with the cat avatar. Ryan would love a Tom Wilson type player. Hard to come by. Tom Wilson would be a dream. He’d be super high on my list as well. Tom Wilson, a guy that could score and just pop people and do whatever. Beast. Absolute beast. If we get Quinn, we should also get Thatcher Demco. I wouldn’t be surprised if Quinn’s production falls off when he comes here. I hope not. I do think he’s eventually going to be here. Jason know Brat could bring back another type of player. We don’t need another setup guy. Other teams do. Yeah, I want someone who’s going to crash the net and score and smash people. Chowski, the inconsistency in the team throughout these last three to four years is a huge sign of a lack of leadership. Not Nico’s fault, but lack of leaders who know how to get over a hump. Maybe too many heads go down when things are bad. Yeah, it does look like they just kind of get dejected and folded up. Trade Bradder for Tom Wilson straight up. Oh boy, it’s an interesting one. Kyle says, “I hope the team gets sold.” Gleason, we need more players who just play tons of minutes but don’t score any five on five points. Fitz, get on it. Find another Lamo. John Feay, why are we hating on Brett? Yes, he’s on a drought right now, but dude force his way into the ozone. I don’t think people are hating on him, John. I just think that everyone realizes that something has to give. Maybe this team does need a huge shakeup and by process of process of elimination, it does seem as though Brder, if a a core piece was going to be traded, that again by process of elimination, if you go down the list, Brat seems to be the most likely of of everybody in the core. trade brat for Tuck. Tuck’s going to want too much money. He’s supposedly he wants like 12 million. I think the roster we lost to tonight tells us all. Woodson, we need players to force the puck in the net. Trade Brat for Jack. What? Trade Brat for Jack. Offer a pick, too? Jack. Jack who? Mark. We don’t have those guys that are willing to contribute in any way. If they can’t score, they hit. If they can’t hit, they fight. Basically, if these guys can’t do what they’re best at, they give up. Eric says, “Fans need to stop their weird player attachments. Plenty of these teams or plenty of these players can leave for the better of the team.” It’s true, but it’s part of a fandom. Like, I’ll be crushed when if and when we ever trade Brat, but if it makes the team better, it is what it is. I mean, this is something that’s part of sports, right? It’s a business. Guys move on. Most guys aren’t on the team forever. But, you know, when you see a homegrown guy like Brad who’s been here for so long, blah blah blah, you know, it’s always a difficult decision to move on from them. Marcus, we need another Kovi. If he was having a hard time offensively, then he would up his physical game hit and sometimes fight to help his team. team who says I’m not attached to anyone. Devs fan 202 team needs someone to stand up in that locker room and say it’s on the people in this room. Stop whining about who’s out if it’s not coming from the coach. I would love to be a fly on the wall. But these are all things we’ll never know. And again, a lot of modern day guys maybe that they’re, you know, most of them maybe don’t honestly care as much as we do. Who knows? Teimu, this group has been very unlikable for me. Snow. Brat’s a great player, but even Kea said him and Jack do too many of the same things. We have too many similar players. For sure. It seems like redundancy. It seems like a little bit of redundancy. And who’s going to bring a new element? Get some guys. trade out one of the redundant pieces for scrit. Who that is, I don’t know, but I’m sure there’s guys out there. It’s late, man. Tuesday at Ottawa against Brady Kachchuck in the Sens. Oh, man. Each game now seems to get like has more and more importance. make a trade to the Oilers to get Adam Henrique back. I think that ship sailed, guys. Come on. I’d be happy if we get a player that can make real hits and screen the goalie. That’d be nice. Snow, I don’t care anymore. I’ve wasted so much uh I’ve watched so much bad hockey for so long, waited for the draft for years, and wait for prospects and we’re still nowhere. The unfortunate reality problem is I feel like Fitz built a team around one player and not our other core guys. I don’t necessarily know about that. I just think he built a team that overall the identity is like a skill finesse team that’s a bit soft and I think that’s just kind of the identity of the team right now and they need a a shift away from it because it’s not winning hockey and it’s certainly not playoff winning hockey. Steve says, “Honestly, I think there’s more of a chance cloning Teemo and playing both of him than Fitz making a big move. Give me a poor man’s Teemo for sure. I’ll take any poor man’s version.” Ryan, we’re missing the hard-nosed energy forward who can score and antagonize brings some life to the game. Agree. Nathan stopped caring when he realized everyone uh everyone else didn’t care. Uh you know, maybe his his injury was kind of or his rehab from his surgery or whatever was like a very big deal. Steven says, “The second we see some adversity, fans want everyone traded for the 2012 team.” No, I’m not saying that, but I think after five games and scoring one goal in like, you know, one goal over the course of three plus games, like enough is enough here. This isn’t a knee-jerk reaction to just one streak. This is this is a very telling losing streak when the star players out once again in a multiple season now subset of data of where we’ve seen the same thing over and over. And to convince yourself that it’s anything but the painful reality of what it is is nuts. Like it is what it is. This team sucks without Jack Hughes. They still are too soft overall and they’re going nowhere. That’s the reality. I do believe they could do some damage with Jack and Peshi back, but I still think that now with those guys out, we we have seen the flaws and they must be addressed. Just adding Jack back does make the team much better, but that’s that’s also very negligent. Running with the Woods and I expect Jack to be out until March. Oh my god, if he’s out for two months, that’s one hell of a cut. You think he’s going to be out till March? Teimu called the MU for GM. That would certainly be interesting. They play a perimeter game. Chowski, no way Jack is out for that long. We should riot. He cut his pinky. We don’t know. We don’t know if the pinky is still there. Is the pinky even attached? Was it reattached? Gleason. It’s not that we’re too finessed. Currently without Jack, it’s that we are not good enough and irresponsible and mentally soft. Team of 2012 before checking Beasts. Deborah is a great coach. They would smack present day Devils around. There was some fun guys. Zubris, Panic, Karovski, Bernier, Carter, Baby Gio, Kovi, Clarkson, Zack. I bet Fitz is waiting to make a move based on how fast Jack’s hand heals. It could it could be cutting attendant could be pretty serious. Getting that hand mobility back takes a while. Yeah, Dbor is a great coach. Running with the Woodson. No point in trading away picks prospects if Jack isn’t back until February, March. Mark, we need another Shanahan. An old guy that will drop the gloves at 38 with Donald Brashier. Yeah, he fought Eric Bolton, I think, when he was 40. Completely insane. Prime Kovaltchuck. Keep dreaming. I would love it. I read the Jack could be back by Christmas. I wonder where that was from. All right, guys. I don’t have any closing comments. I’m about to get out of here. What a time. What a time to be alive. later, John. Uh, Brandon, any plans to have Daniel any plans have Daniel on the show to discuss the team? Uh, at this point I just think I’m going to stick to to staying by myself. I’ve had too many incidents and it’s nothing against anybody, but like too many weird things have happened to me that I truly believe are not of my doing. Um, and just I I don’t know at this point like I I just think I need to kind of stay in my own little silo because I get burned when I involve other people with stuff. I don’t know. When Jack comes back, how long until he gets hurt again? Hopefully never. Hopefully never. It’s written in the stars for Jack. Come on, man. How do we get out of this hole? We trade. We make a big trade and shake the team up. Shake them to their core and bring in some new blood and figure out. Oh no, I forgot something I had to do. Oh my god, it was timed. Oh, that’s brutal. Oh, it’s so brutal. Damn it. No, no, it was nothing with Daniel personally. Nothing with Daniel Daniel personally. Just I just have had a lot of weird things happen to me lately. Um, I’m not going to get into it, but I don’t know. I think I think the uh the channel borders have been closed, I think, for the most part. And I’m just going to kind of stick to my to my own whatever you want to call it. I don’t have anything else. I’m about to be out of here. What a night. What a night, man. Just pain. Pain and suffering. What did we do to deserve this? A season that started off so promising. Key for sure needs to be scooped. I’d love it. Season started off so promising. Thanks, Brandon. Waited all summer again for this. Shannon’s the OG goat. God blesses everyone. But no, Larry Dez McDermad was probably a good presence in the locker room. Need those intangibles in the room sometimes. I think he was. I wish he could play a little bit at a higher level than what he could because outside of the fighting, he wasn’t going to do anything and that was everyone’s knock on him. But all right, guys. It’s been fun. It’s been interesting. Uh we had some brief interruptions. We had to deal with some things and and and I’m sorry that Larry had to wait. Uh, I have the what did he say? I was a goldfish. Said something about I’m a goldfish. But, uh, our beloved New Jersey Devils looking to stop a four uh to stop the bleeding at a four-game losing streak. Unfortunately, it’s now extended to five. Losing Boston by a score of four to one. Um, and I just can’t imagine what, you know, I’m going to be reading tonight and into tomorrow and and up until and maybe for the rest of the season for that matter, depending on how this plays out. But the chatter is going to be deafening now for a move to be made. Um, and we’ll see how this all plays out. But people want action. They don’t want to see more of what we’ve seen. And I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Hopefully, we see something that helps this team improve and and find a way to be somewhat competitive before Jack and Peshi are back and hopefully get into the right form for playoffs. But it’s it’s sad how how the standings are, how they’ve played. It’s all discouraging, but hopefully they get some reinforcements quick because the the season’s not lost yet, but I do fear it could be pretty soon if nothing’s done. But hit the thumbs up on your way out. I got a ton of stuff in the works. always working on special projects, blah blah blah. Um, I had mentioned uh I forgot that fanatic sale, that crazy fanatic sale is going on till till tomorrow. There’s some there’s some stuff that’s heavily discounted. I’ve mentioned this. I might do a I might do a devil’s like holiday gift guide video, but I’ll drop this in the chat one more time. Uh oh, that was a long one. That was the long version of it, I think. Crap. Bear with me one second. decorate the tree. Yeah, there’s some there’s some Fanatics really does have some wild stuff. There’s a Mitchell and Nest hoodie that I’m going to probably have to buy on top of all the other stuff I already bought. It’s like more than 50% off. But hit the link. I pinned it in the top of the chat and I just dropped it again in the chat. Good for holiday gifts or to buy yourself some stuff. I did a little bit of both. uh bought myself some stuff as well as some holiday gifts, Devil stuff, all tons of stuff on sale. But click on that link, it’ll bring you to the Devils. But check it out. There’s plenty of stuff for other fan teams. Uh you know, whether there’s other sports you like or family or friends you got to get gifts for, like other teams. But check it out. Lots of stuff there. And uh I’ll be back soon. Uh I don’t know how I’m gonna fall asleep. I’m pretty wired right now and just depressed and everything else. feeling all the emotions after this cuz it does feel like we’re at a I don’t even know. We’re just at a at a point in time where something has to give. Uh where something has to give and I don’t know. It’s just a very weird feeling. That’s it guys. I’m shot. Thank you all. Uh back soon. I’m trying to think is there anything else? Hopefully we see some change and soon. Thank you all for watching. I love you all. Like, comment, subscribe, and all that jazz. Until next time, friends. Let’s go devils.

  1. Wanna shake up the team and get bigger and more skilled?

    Bratt, dougie, casey

    For

    Quinn, and Ep40

    Or

    Mercer, palat, 1st

    For

    Tage.

Blow this shit up already because this core ain't it. Toronto kept waiting on their core 4 to do something and the lost marner for nothing.

  2. Take a look at the 6 D men playing in front of Blackwood in Colorado and compare that to our D built by our GM. This organization will NEVER win another cup with the current ownership because they dont care about winning, just the appearance that they are trying because all the suckers keep showing up and spending $$$

  3. My fear is that when Fitz gets fired they will appoint Fletcher to replace him. He's even worse. If I had to choose? I'd love for Elias to get a shot at being GM. Just like Briere with the flyers. Someone who loves the team.

  4. Ace , i love your passion, but those of us who have watched and followed you from the beginning have been saying this for years and YOU, critized and laughed at most of these exact criticisms. Its a little late for righteous anger, that train left the station a long time ago….the Lemaire, Lamiorello days are ancient history now and nostalgic days those of us who had the privilege of witnessing will always cherish.

  5. Its true that its not Keefe fault for the rosters epic fail, but how do you explain Cotter, Noesen, and Hamilton completely disappearing on offense?? I think that this years issues are laying at Sheldons feet. Let's not forget the roster this dude had in Toronto and couldn't get past a round in the playoffs

  6. I'm not saying this couldn't be all on Fitz but maybe it's possible this coach may not be the right coach either. This team supposedly has too much talent to be struggling like this despite Jack's absence. In all fairness we are not there to really know what's going on between the players and coach but this adversity will tell us a lot about this coach. Good coaches aren't always the right coach for certain players. Surely you can't get blood from a stone but this roster is reality and the coach will be held accountable. The big question is are they snake bitten right now or is this a locker room issue with the players and coach?

  7. Ace, I am watching this, and no joke, what ad pops up? An anti-depressant nasal spray. It feels like Christmas is ruined and I have no hopes for a happy new year. Absolute disaster. We are a Rangers type dumpster fire. Season is lost at this point, with this division so close. I shouldn’t say negative stuff so much, but this team has dashed ALL hopes. The post game interviews were soft bullshit. I am disgusted; Pens in a playoff spot, and we suck and are at the bottom. This team isn’t built for the playoffs, and won’t make the playoffs.

  8. Who would you take as GM? Would Harris allow a full on hockey guy to do the job? Also apart from Nico, Timo, Allen, Grits, Nemec, Dillon, the team has shown nothing

  9. I saw this and was going to listen but I think I will save it for another time. I expected an L versus the Bruins. In the old days Boston used to face New Jersey in the afternoon on Saturdays quite a bit and my brother and I would get upset because we didn't get to see live highlights during Hockey Night in Canada while the game and other games around the league were going on. Anyway at least for my brother his team often won those games. I got used to getting L after L versus them. Then I got to experience the heartbreak that was the conference finals in 1987/88. A good run but a terrible way to end it. I hated Boston after that. Eventually I saw my team play them live and beat them in the playoffs one season on the way to my team winning the Stanley Cup so I guess in the end all good. Go Devils!

  10. My fear is that Fitz won't do a goddamn thing. It just feels like the plan is, and always has been, to sign Quinn and let the dollars roll in. Jack going down exposes a) how much we rely on him, and b) the lack of centre depth. Mercer plays well on the wing, he's not a centre. We currently have Nico and Glass (for now) – that's it. I just wish Fitz would go make a real move to win now. LGD 😈🏒

  11. Devils are already at the famous mantra, “One shift, one period, one game at a time” and it’s only December. This team will need at least a 10 game heater to get me excited again this season.

  12. Ace, 3 things:

    1) Quinn having terrible season (he’s -7, only 22 pts), do you think Fitz will be dumb enough to get him and give away the farm?

    2) I really believe we need to trade Bratt, Mercer, Markstrom (or Daws), Silayev, Casey, and get Forward help.

    3) What move do you believe would move the needle?

  13. The fact that anyone is surprised by Geekie is shocking. I called for Fitz to sign him and Roslovic in the offseason. Combined we would have been paying them less than what we pay Luke. LAUGHABLE – Fitz sucks and we all have known it. Yet we still support the team because we bleed red. Terrible situation. Honestly I may be done supporting until ownership takes an interest in winning.

  14. now, since the Devils are in dire straits because our best GM is always fast to act, we gonna pay premium on every possible player in a trade. If a player would normally cost a 1st round pick, now because every GM knows the Devils are desperate that said player would cost a 1st round pick and an A prospect🤣

  15. Ace you said anything is on the table. We like Keefe but let’s be real the last two seasons are still under his watch. The perimeter play and lack of net front presence is coaching as well, not just the GM.
