If Timelord is healthy this year I’m offering 2/38 with second year a team option.
I think he deserves the payday and if healthy I mean dude, he’s top tier
Do we have cap room to resign him? Pretty sure we’re still over the cap next year, so we’d need his Bird Rights. We already used our MLE on Dame iirc, and I don’t think the player exception will be enough.
Edit: why the downvote? If I’m wrong about the cap (and I’m not an expert) would be interested to hear why!
Edit 2: we have his Bird Rights, so the cap doesn’t matter. I think I’d be okay to resign him for like 2 yrs @ 10m. Not sure what he might get elsewhere
I absolutely would not resign him unless it was the vet minimum. If he’s still healthy at the deadline I’m taking offers on him
No. A relatively healthy season is not the norm. We gotta look at the average and not waste the roster spot.
He’s a great pnr partner, defender, and seemingly well liked by pretty much everybody. Awesome guy to have on the team.
I love him, but I think he’s best used to gather assets.
Timelord is a great player and by all accounts a great locker room presence, but he’s just never healthy. I don’t know that it’s worth re-signing him for any amount much above like the MLE. And I also don’t think teams are going to be offering much of significant value for him at the deadline (feels highly unlikely a playoff team would send a 1st or touted prospect for a guy you have to assume is going to get injured and may not be a reliable part of a playoff rotation). I think we either make a pretty underwhelming trade, or just hold on and re-sign him to a modest contract if he wants to be here
Delete this post before he will get injured
Given the choice of resigning either Rob or Tisse this coming offseason, I’m taking Tisse

No. They drafted Yang for a reason.

6mil/yr w/ team options
You take offers at the trade deadline, otherwise pass. Even if by some miracle he is healthy most of this year, he inevitably won’t be the next.
Shame about his health issues cuz he’s an awesome player honestly.
