  2. + he does legitimately everything else on the ice. Points are now matching his game. Hope that continues. LFG

  3. Absolutely loving his game on the second line, he’s showing off skills I didn’t realize he had.

  4. I love this guy and how shouldering the load on the Kid line has taken him to the next level.

  5. Even better than I thought.

Slaf become this good, this quickly thanks to:

MSL giving him a LOT of ice team early, and gave him the chance to play with Suzuki and Caufield. Those 3 are good friends and Slaf will go to war for them. **Other coaches will not give him the chance to grow like MSL did**

Plus MSL was SO GOOD with his decision to put Slaf on the 2nd line with Kapanen and Demidov for a few, which led to Slaf’s éclosion.

Great personality, great heart, GREAT IQ and calm under pressure. I remember that Suzuki goal to tie it up against the Panthers with moments left to spare. It all started with a CRISP long pass from Slaf to Hutson, right on the palette

  6. I wasn’t a Slaf believer until this season – I’ll admit it. But he’s been playing like a beast. Don’t care if he scores 40 or 60 or 80 points in the regular season really. He’s the kind of player you go deep in the playoffs with.

  7. Slaf is coming into his own now. In the past, he has invariably come out of the corner or board scrums with the puck but now he has developed his puck control IQ so that he is driving plays. He has a tremendously high ceiling…

  8. So glad we have him. Dominant with or without the puck and he’s just gonna get better as his decision -making skills refine
