Yeah, I mean, a team like the Phillies should be kicking the tires on just about everyone. Reach out, establish low-key interest, and if it gets well into the winter and options 1, 2, and 3 have fallen apart, maybe you swoop in for a touch less than it may have cost initially.

They could then look for platoon efficiencies at least one outfield spot to counter Marte’s salary. … The problem I can’t get around is how the teams match up.
