New England Patriots Quietly Get GOOD News From NFL!
Patriots fans, I hope you are enjoying the bye-week. If you’re like me, you’re putting your feet up watching some football this lovely Sunday afternoon. Or like me, you’re shoveling the driveway time after time because it keeps snowing. But that’s beside the point. You’re enjoying football and not worrying about anything cuz your team is sitting 11 and two, the best record in football. So enjoy it, ladies and gentlemen. And I will tell you this, the Patriots just quietly got good news from the NFL. Let’s talk about it. My name is Aaron on the daily Patriots content. Don’t miss out. All you got to do, subscribe, hit the notification bell, and hit the like button on this wonderful Sunday. As I said, Patriots on a roll, sitting at the number one seed as it looks right now for the playoffs. What’s there not to like? What’s there not to like? So, let’s jump right into it. First and foremost, Christian Ellis will not be fined by the NFL for his hit on Jackson Dart. Now, you might be saying, Aaron, why are you bringing this up again? Why are we talking about this? Again, let me just say this. First and foremost, we talked I believe it was the episode after this hit happened. I went live. We saw it live. Everyone went crazy. Some people cried. They were so I’m joking. No one cried on on the live stream, but it was it was crazy. It was an it was an unreal hit. And I will say this, and I will say it I I said it once and I’ll say it again. If the NFL were of to find Christian Ellis for this hit, I think it would have been a slippery slope for the NFL, for this organization, because again, it opens the door to protecting the quarterback in the offense way, way way, way more giving the offense much more of an advantage than the defense. And we already know the offense has an advantage on the defense in the NFL. Again, there’s so many more penalties called on the defense as opposed to the offense, whether that’s, you know, uh, you know, late hits, uh, you know, roughing the pass or whatever, certain hits below the knee, whatever it might be, it is much much more advantageous for the offense to succeed than it is for the defense. And so, again, if the NFL would have came down and levied a fine against Christian Ellis, I think it would have been a joke. I think people would have revolted and said, “What sport are we playing? Are we pl Are we Are we playing uh two-hand touch? Are we t Have you ever seen the South Park episode? Sarcasta ball. Sarcasta ball. God, sarcasta ball. There we go. Comment below if you ever seen it. It’s a hilarious episode about how they’re like, “Should we just go and give each other hugs?” And and and whoever gives the most hugs wins. And everyone’s like, “Yeah, let’s do it.” It’s the dumbest episode. I don’t necessarily condone it, but it’ll make you laugh because it’s so ridiculous. But if the if the NFL were of to go that direction, it would have been frustrating for I think anyone, even non-Patriots fans, probably even Giants fans, even though, you know, your boy tight end Johnson was bad for the Giants. He ended up actually did getting a fine, uh, which I don’t think is necessarily, uh, a surprise after his scuffle with Ellis. Um, and not like it was a it was a big find for him. Uh, let’s see here. I’ll pull it up for you so you can see. Uh, yeah. So, ju not even $6,500 for unnecessary roughness. Again, I I understand you want to protect your quarterback, but your quarterback needs to get out of bounds. That’s what your quarterback needs to do. You don’t need to fight for two more yards when you’re not even going to make the playoffs. Like, I you got to be smart. You got to be smart, especially as a quarterback. That’s why you got to slide sooner. You got to be smart in how you run. Uh, and Jackson Dart, I think, has a lot of potential, but you got to use your noggin. You got to use your noggin. Uh, Hawkins did technically uh get get fine, though. We will look at that one. That was interesting. If you remember that hit, I believe that was in the fourth quarter. Um, so it was in the fourth quarter and I believe it was on Johnson. Uh, he was kind of going down. Craig Woodson was involved. Hawkins came in. it was uh using his helmet illegally on the play. Uh and so honestly I saw that hit and it I was in college football there’s a flag on that immediately. That’s if you watch college football that’s just is what it is. If your helmet barely touches other person’s head it it’s going to be uh but he came in hot and so that one it’s again even though I’m just like this is football that that’s the rules they have in place. Uh so still even though it is it is frustrating uh he ends up getting fined. I don’t know what you think about that. You might you might say to yourself, Aaron, I don’t even uh I don’t even remember that play. I don’t even remember what happened on that play. I remember seeing it and I was just like he got away with not getting that one called. Uh but again, it just shows how serious the NFL is on these uh you know head-to-head uh uh you know hits or you know leading with your helmet. So, it’s his first fine ju just just under $10,000, which is crazy. Um, so again, Ellis, I think it’s smart they didn’t give him the fine or they didn’t, you know, bring down a punishment. That’s perfect. That’s what the NFL should do. Uh, I will say with with Hawkins, if you go back and look, I would play it for you, but again, I always get pegged. They take down my episode. It’s never good. Um, and and people who do it, I don’t know how they I’m not going to lie. I need to look more into how they put plays up and all this stuff. But that being said, I understand Hawkins more um than if they would have done it to Ellis, if that makes sense. So, comment below. Tell me what you think. But it’s a physical game. It’s football. It is what it is. And they’re doing what they can to protect players. I get it. But I’m glad Ellis did not get in trouble for that. Um next up, rookies by ESPN ranked right now. Um top 10 list. Actually, a pretty cool top 10 list. some of these guys that we talked about for especially the OGs on this channel. We talked about a lot of these guys for a long time uh going into the season because there was a lot of potential picks that hey the the Patriots might be able to get him. So Carson Swissinger was a guy out of UCLA if you remember. Crazy. He was a former walk-on. Um and he you know coming into this Jim Schwarz defense uh and there hasn’t been much to write home about for the Browns but he was a great pickup. He was a guy I was hoping that the Patriots could potentially get if he was still there in the second round. They obviously went a different direction with uh Trayvon Henson, which I totally love. Um, but I get it. He’s putting up some great numbers uh for the Browns right now. You have McMillan, which is another guy. He’s out of Arizona putting up crazy numbers at Arizona. Doing well for the Panthers. And what’s crazy about this is if you look at any other uh mock draft right now, um I I I’m always looking at mock drafts. They still have the Panthers getting another wide receiver, which is crazy. They’re just adding weapons on weapons. I I I I guess I understand. I kind of don’t understand. I don’t know. But uh McMillan, understand why he’s at number two. Uh Ambuka, uh out of Ohio State, Ohio State, uh as Ray is going to be mad for me saying this, has truly turned into wide receiver. you. Uh, I get why he’s at three. A lot of these make sense to me. But as we get to the bottom, you’re starting to wonder where’s where’s so and so, where’s this guy? And it just seems like they whoever was voting on this, they didn’t necessarily use their noggin. But anyways, Tyler Warren, I get uh uh great addition from Penn State. Uh, Membu, remember, he was the right tackle for Missouri that we talked about for a long time. Jackson Dart, of course, I get that in this draft class. Uh the best quarterback. You have a guard for the Seahawks. Uh Juckkins out of Ohio State. And that’s with with not even playing a ton, but I understand literally they have no one else where Trayvon Henderson’s playing with Stevenson. You have Lovelin with the Bears. You know, he has Ben Johnson as his offensive coordinator. Ben Johnson loves tight ends. And so, um I I get that. But then you finally have Will Campbell. Will Campbell finally makes the list. Uh and last what the last time they did rankings, he just barely missed the top 10. But clearly he has shown uh he’s done well with his pass blocking as well as run blocking. Uh sure he had a rough game, but remember that game was with against Miles Garrett. One of the best, if not the best edge rusher of all time. Uh now injured, kind of frustrating, so that kind of hurts him a little bit. But I think it’s great to see him on the list. I would love to see him higher. I think if he wasn’t hurt, he definitely would be higher. But notice he is the only Patriot on this list. We don’t have Trayvon Henderson. Uh in in other people that are left off, let me give you an example. So Abdul Carter just missed the list. 31 tackles, 1.5 sacks. Elijah Ponder, undrafted free agent out of Calpali, who we talked about the other day, has has uh more sacks than Abdul Carter, uh doesn’t even receive any votes. So kind of frustrating. Uh, I I get Jaylen Walker who’s uh who’s on there. Uh, plays for the Falcons. Uh, big-time pickup. Uh, he’s done well. But then Pierce as well. Trayvon Henderson did receive votes, which is great. Uh, but again, I just I never try to, how do I want to say this? I never try to take uh uh too much from these because I understand they’re they’re all uh subjective. It’s based on opinion. But it is frustrating kind of see like okay I I I get some of these guys but also like are we getting are are we truly looking at into every single person? Are we are we really looking at every every guy? Uh and it you know it depends all who votes on this stuff and all that you know all that fun stuff but it just grinds my gears just a little bit. Just a little bit on this by week. I had to add that in there. But comment below what I and again some of the people on the list, most those people, I get why they’re on the list where they are 100%. 100%. But Trayvon Henderson, come on. Little disrespectful. Like Abdul Carter just missed it and Trayvon Henderson didn’t just miss it. I just I don’t I don’t get it. It doesn’t make sense to me. Anyways, I digress. Comment below. Uh what what game you most interested in watching today uh during this bye? What are your thoughts on the Christian Ellis hit? Maybe you got something else to say. would love to hear from you. Hit the subscribe button. Hit the like button. We’ll talk later. Enjoy your by-week Sunday. We’ll talk later. Peace.

NFL media deals licensing agreements as fair use policy is nazi strict good luck not getting demonetized they say!
Aaron, totally off topic here, but have you heard any rumors of us getting rid of these horrific color rush uniforms next season????
Butters was the captain of "sarcastiaball" 😂
blOSU won't be putting out those WR anymore with Hartline gone 😂
No help from the bengals but the Colts may be out.
Colts are finished with the Jones achilles injury.
It's kind of a boon if the Pats can finish 3-1 and nail down the #1 seed when I reflect on the injuries to Campbell and Wilson.
I've been thinking about it a lot. Lineman face the rookie wall more than other positions because of the additional wear and tear on their bodies. If they were still in college, they'd be on a mini break, lightly practicing ahead of their bowl games. They may be rehabbing, but they're not taking additional punishment in the meantime and I think it may indeed help their performance come January. They'll be fresh and healed up. The bruises and spains that don't get a chance to heal over the course of a season will be healed up for them. (Ditto for Milton Williams.) Their opponents won't be all healed up because they won't have a bye, and have to keep playing, and piling on bruise upon bruise, and strain upon sprain. Typically, nobody is 100% when the playoffs begin. It's a slim advantage, but it's an advantage.
