Miami Dolphins Throttle Jets For 4th Win In A Row | Jaylen Wright Steps Up | Defense Dominates

Welcome on in guys. Tolbin here with you and thanks for checking out the channel. Your Miami Dolphins absolutely throttling the New York Jets today 34-10 for their fourth straight win. And this one just felt a little bit different than the last couple. The Miami Dolphins absolutely putting the hammer to start the game out the gates on the New York Jets. three touchdowns and three possessions and the puppy was pretty much over from there. Some squeamish moments on the in between and the Miami Dolphins leaned into their defense who today gave up a whopping total of three points. I mean, they were just absolutely and that was after another special teams blunder because really the special teams gave up a punt return touchdown and then a fake uh a fake punt to keep a drive going that had the uh the Jets settling for threes. So just an absolutely dynamic dynamic day for this Miami Dolphins team all across the board. Something you really I think wanted to see in the win streak. Not just that they were getting wins, but all right, you’re better than this team. You’re that, you know, they’re here, you’re there. Can you show it? Can you go out there and show some dominance? And I really thought that we got to see a lot of that today from the Miami Dolphins right out of the gate. Who else? The Miami Dolphins. I mean, just the offense for the early going of this game was humming. I mean, just absolutely did a great great job to start this game. And who else but Devon Achan just getting it going. And and I think from the start of the day, the uh the theme was man, these boys up front, the big boys, unbelievably the Miami Dolphins offensive line are smacking dudes right in the mouth. I mean, just absolutely playing physical football up front. and Jonah Sava Inia much maligned throughout his rookie year. The metrics people hate him. Everybody’s wondering, did they just draft the do they trade up for the worst offensive lineman in the draft? Well, this dude today, he came to play absolutely absolutely impressive and was absolutely mowing people down uh for Devon Achan. And Devon Achan with a little spin move nearly got into the end zone right off the bat. You’re just like, “Come on, dude. This guy is playing next level. Now, unfortunately for Han, um, we got to figure out what the hell happened. They said rib. I was a little confused when he went out cuz I like I thought it was like an ankle or a knee twist or something like that. So, I got to go back and see what the hell happened there uh in the midst of this game. But, that was really the only uh unfortunate news of today was uh what’s going to happen with the Dolphins star running back. Thankfully, his understudies did quite well today. They did quite well. The uh the Dolphins, they get a three and out with the New York Jets in their stained jerseys. Those are terrible jerseys. Like, is this another situation where they tried to make the Dolphins jerseys blue, but they were black? Did they tell the Jets those are Hunter green, but they’re actually stained brown? Because those are those are a they are a gnarly color. like they had the whole thing going, the Gotham City Batman, you got um Quincy Williams coming to the game, dressed as the Joker, kind of badass. And now you actually and now unfortunately he leaves looking like a clown. But um yeah, those are those are a bad they’re a bad tone of Brown. Really uh not great. Next drive, Dolphins get the ball back. This was probably to his best drive of the game. Dude was absolutely cooking. He was carving dudes up. He was him and Greg Doulich. I mean, the these guys had a a real rapport today, looking great. Jaylen Wright would uh start off with his tone and getting things going. Then Tua would find um would find Wadd over the middle and then you get the little uh you get the little fake. He finds him 25 yards. He’s absolutely cooking. And then Devon Aan, they give him the ball, right? And this dude is just he weaved through like all of the Jets. like he gets the ball and he’s just like he’s he’s he’s he’s just like all of the Jets. It’s almost like when you watch superhero movies, right? And they have to like do the flash so they have to slow everything down for the flash so you could see how actually fast he is. Everybody else is standing still and the Flash is moving through it. That’s Devon A on the field, dude. Like it’s like all of the defenders you could just pause him in time and this dude’s just weaving through like seven to nine of them on a play. He’s absolutely masterful. He’s absolutely great. Um, Dolphins are up 14- nothing like right off the gate. It was crazy. Then next drive, the Dolphins go out there and then on third and four, I think it was, Terrell Dodson, he uh gets a really impressive interception where he I mean, dude has been not skipping leg day. Squeezes the ball off, keeps it off the ground, maintains control. They initially rule it incomplete. I’m like I saw it immediately as it was going live. I’m like I don’t think that touched the ground. And they said uh Archeletta said, “Oh no, that’s incomplete.” Mike Medo throws the challenge flag. So I immediately think I’m cooked. But I look at I’m like, “No, that’s a pick, dude.” Terrell Dodson able to come with the huge huge turnover. And I got to be honest with you, the one that he got today and the way uh and the way the Dolphins played in this game defensively, you were like, “Oh man, that that was that was an impressive takeway.” The Jets to this point have not had an interception on the season. And that’s the interception the Dolphins just threw right in their face, man. Crazy. So Mike McDaniel wins a challenge. So you know things are going good. I mean he is absolutely like if when Mike McDaniel’s winning challenges, you got things going good for your your football team. And yeah, just once again, Tua was uh was doing a great job. They get a little trickery. They give it to they they give it to Darren Waller on the handout. Mike McDaniel was in his bag, dude. He really was. Tua, he he goes a couple times to Greg Doulich who just had a really great rapport with the entire game. Short field, Jaylen Wright up the middle for a touchdown. And the Dolphins are up 21 nothing and just everything was going great. Um they mentioned this on the broadcast, first time the Dolphins had scored 21 points in the first quarter since 2015. Holy crap, things were going good for them. Tyrod Taylor then was out of the game and they had this kid Brady Cooking and he had a really really tough day. Um, this is where the Dolphins offense would start to stumble a little bit and uh some really some really interesting tough throws for Tua after this and and I I don’t know what I don’t know if it was just hey we’re getting off the script now and you know I don’t know what the hell happened to be honest with you but Tua Tua was searching for it today man like he he started off so perfect uh with great connections to to Wadd and to Waller and to Doulich. Um, and then I don’t know what the hell happened. The the the dude just like lost all of his mojo. And that’s kind I guess if you want to be a rap bastard today, like that’s kind of the only thing you’d come out of today is like I don’t know if we feel awesome about how the quarterback is playing, but he played good enough early on. The Dolphins got off to such a jump and the Jets are so incompetent. But at least today was convincing. You know, this wasn’t the Dolphins had to squeaky cheeks it against the Saints. This wasn’t giving up the wins and field goals like it was against the Commanders. Like, at least this was thorough and utter domination. And that I think was the encouraging thing about today. So, the uh the Jets get on the board a punt return touchdown. It was a wild first quarter and you’re just like, “All right, hopefully that doesn’t turn into anything. Hopefully it doesn’t snowball. Um, you always get those queasy feelings about it. Football. Football was wild today, dude. I mean, all over the place. I’m watching this right now and it looks like the Ravens are driving right now to hopefully to try and keep off the Baltimore Ravens as I’m doing this. And we got Browns Titans going on. I’m only interested in that because of uh Cam Ward. But either way, the uh Yeah. So, Tua just started getting a little bit off the mark, like a little out of Waddles’s reach. And then he cut one loose against Darren Waller and the Jets, they just can’t come down with interceptions. It’s crazy. And and they mentioned this on the broadcast uh with Archeletta and like I don’t know if there’s like the football gods against them, but like they had some stuff like gift wrapped to them a couple of times today by Tonga Aloa and they just they they couldn’t they couldn’t do anything. They couldn’t do anything with it. So that was uh that was the only thing that was a little bit concerning. Tua was uh you know just the passing game just wasn’t on the same page. And then the good news of things was that the defense was showing up. Chop Robinson was balling. Um the Dolphins did a great job in coverage today. I mean mind you you’re taking undrafted rookie quarterback. You should be licking your chops and and giving them the business. And that’s what they did. They they they ended up sacking Cook today. Did he take all the sacks? Yeah, he was sacked six times today. He was all six sacks today. Um which was uh which was really really awesome. The bad news, Dolphins up 21-7. Devon Achan, he got loose. A huge block by Aaron Brewer. And then all of a sudden, Achan just like immediately looks like, “Oh man, something’s wrong.” And you could you could just tell like the look on his face, he wasn’t he wasn’t feeling fantastic there. like what what the hell is what’s going on there? That was uh so that was a little concerning. That drive would end up in a field goal. Tu would connect to Doulich who would uh who would nearly score. Then there was a offsetting penalties for a block in the back and a low block. So then that got wiped away. The Dolphins ended up going for the field goal. And then they revealed that Devon Han was dealing with a rib injury and I was like, I didn’t see him hurt his ribs. That was so strange. So, you know, whatever. That was uh that was going wild for a little bit. And then as the uh as the quarter was winding down, Brady Cook throws a pick to Rul Douglas for the second time in two weeks. Has a huge interception right near uh right at the end of the half. So, great job by Rul. So there’s about like 30 seconds left and then Tua has this throw where like he’s throwing it to Jaylen Wright and this was the thing that just changed when Devon Aan was out. So Jaylen Wright cannot speak enough about how good his game was. He was running angry. He was running thorough. The the the the stuff up the middle was going great whenever they tried to do a Jaylen Wright passing play. And I don’t know if he was in the wrong place or he’s got stone hands or just him and Tua weren’t on the same page, but nearly every time they tried to throw Jaylen Wright the football today, it ended in near disaster. And it started off near the end of the first half where Tua was trying to throw it to him. Throws it what I thought was a backwards p. I thought it was a backwards pass. You know that they they really have to be careful on this. So they like micro analyze it and ends up luckily being incomplete. But I was like what the hell were they thinking on that all together? The brain trust McDaniel Tua whoever was in what were they thinking how that could only the only way you can get the New York Jets in a good spot is to give them just an easy turnover because they’ve already gotten the special teams touchdown. if you were to give them another defensive touchdown. Oh my goodness. I I couldn’t even imagine. And to Mike McDaniel’s credit, CBS, they said uh the reporter said that like, you know, Mike McDaniel wasn’t exactly pleased with how they were playing. So that was good. At least he like had the mindset like this could get away from us. Um and and that that was a necessary thing because they weren’t playing great. Now the good thing is the defense comes out sets the tone. Bradley Chub and my guy sealer it on up. Zack Caler getting involved with the sack. Great job by that dynamic duo, the veterans getting after the young rookie quarterback. So they stifled the Jets right out of the gate. Achan they announced is still on the sidelines. He would not return. Um and then this was the next one. Tua was nearly picked off like right in the end zone. He was going for Jaylen Wright and he nearly gets picked off and you’re just like what what are we doing, dude? Like what? It It could have been dicey. It It was uh It was It was It was a little It was a little miffing to watch that. Next drive for the Jets. They keep it going. The uh the Dolphins get a huge sack once again from Zack Cer and Bradley Chub. So they I mean they’re all over this young rookie quarterback like a like like a uh like a dog on a pork chop. Like all over the place looking absolutely fantastic. Um so the Dolphins then start the next drive and like dude they’re like running it up the middle. They’re uh they’re they’re rolling absolutely great. Things are going fantastic. Wright’s just getting chunky yard after chunk yard after chunk yard. Tua rolls out. He gets a league Washington for a big gain. Then you get a penalty and then they try another connection to J. It just doesn’t work. It’s just not working and it ends up stifling the drive and you’re just like, “All right, dude. What what are we doing here?” It was uh it was frustrating. The Jets would end up cutting it 24-10. Uh and then finally logic prevails after this whole passing game isn’t working and Mike McDaniel just decides, “Hey dude, we’re going full go on the running.” And it’s just give Jaylen Wright the football. Give Jaylen Wright the football. give Jaylen Wright the football and he was mowing it down basically up until they got to the point of giving Ali Gordon the football for a final push. Patrick Paul and Austin Jackson were there mowing him in with a little bit extra push and puts the Dolphins up 31 to 10. That was all she wrote. The game was over basically from the first three possessions, but that’s over over dagger style for your Miami Dolphins. Um they’d end up you know getting a couple of other big plays. is Melanu would uh get a big sack and Ethan Bonner would get the absolute seal job with an intangibles interception in the corner. That’s all she wrote. They even sent Zack Wilson out there for some revenge snaps. His first NFL action basically since uh 2023. So pretty crazy. Pretty crazy. But thorough domination today for the Dolphins over the New York Jets. A really really great performance as of right now. Give you some final numbers here on everybody. Uh the Dolphins are six and seven, won four in a row. They’ve won five out of six. Uh two of a day, 13 of 21, 127 yards. I think he started 8 for eight. That was a little queasy. That wasn’t great. Uh the run game was the star today. The run game was the star. These numbers, mind you, this was Devon Achan today. Seven carries, 92 yards, and a touchdown. monster. Just an absolute monster. The Dolphins today. So, he’s 13 yards a carry from Devonte Chan. Jaylen Wright today, 24 carries, 107 yards, and a touchdown. Ali Gordon, five carries, 17 yards, and a touchdown. Jaylen Wadd had a run for 27 uh 21 yards. All in all, Dolphins today ran for 239 yards on the New York Jets. They held Bree Hall today to 43 yards. He’s kind of been their only option. And uh Brady Cook today finished 14 of 30, 163 yards, no touchdowns, two picks, sacked six times. Tyrod Taylor, one of four, six yards with a an interception. His lead receiver today was Mason Taylor. Five catches, 51 yards, who he had a tough day today, too. Um took him a while to get cooking and then I’m sure he’s not happy with the the the play that ended up in the interception. Jaylen Wadd today had your lone touchdown reception for the Dolphins, which by the way, that was a great play by Tua. um took a monster monster hit to uh to in the end zone um because it was set up by Devon Aan early, but Tua got smoked on his blind side and took that hit and Jaylen Wadd hauled it in, gave the Dolphins the lead and you’re just like, damn, dude. That was uh that was impressive. That was an impressive impressive play by the Penguin Jaylen Wadd. So, he gets your lone touchdown reception today. And then on the day, Zack Cer, two and a half sacks for your Miami Dolphin defensive tackle. He had uh your big day on the defensive side of things. Uh first thing I can see in a while, Jordan Brooks hasn’t led the team in tackles. KJ Britain, Ashton Davis did that. Um Terrell Dodson today, two tackles for loss, a pass deflection, and an interception. He was a monster. Really, really great day. Chop Robinson today had a sack. He was uh he was on fire. Good for him. He’s starting to round into form after a slow start. So, all those things are good. Dolphins are six and seven right now. Uh as far as the scores, recording this before Sunday Night Football, so we don’t know what’s going on, what’s going to happen with the Chiefs, but as I was recording this, we went final with the Steelers. The Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens 2722. So, a monster Monday Night Football game coming up next week. with uh the Steelers who are right now, I believe, holding on to a slim division lead. A the Bills win today 3934. So, the division’s not over yet, but they’re going to be at least one AFC East team is going to be at least in for one of the wild cards the way that things are looking out. The Bengals lose. That pretty much salts away their season. And I would say from my standpoint that Sunday Night Football, I think Barry Jackson said that that on Tuesday it can get flexed out. That game is gonna get flexed out now because I think on that week he was like saying there was a bunch of games. So if we go two weeks ahead, week 16. Yeah. I mean I mean you could go Chargers Cowboys. You could go B Buccaneers, Panthers to stay alive in the playoff hunt. They could go that. They could go Ravens, Patriots. They could go Jaguars, Broncos. I don’t know like what the the the eligible games are. Could go Steelers, Lions. So the Dolphins the Dolphins are getting flex that week. They’re not going to be that. I I would be really surprised if they remain the Sunday Night Football game after the uh tough night for Joe Burrow losing. Any other games of consequence for today? Um and the Jaguars. Well, this is another one. The Jaguars smoked the Colts who of course have a win over the Dolphins. They lost Daniel Jones today and it looks bad. He’s already dealing with the the fibula fracture, I think. And they were saying today he has an Achilles. So Danny Dimes might be out for a little bit and the Colts might be out for the count. So things did break the Dolphins way. It’s still going to be tough sneaking in and you basically I would imagine the Dolphins have to run the table. But having a performance like this today now you got a Monday Night Football one coming up against the Steelers. I mean so many storylines surrounding that one. I mean take your take your pick of all the things that are surrounding that game. So you take all that into account. Um, we got a uh we got a we got a monster one coming up for the Miami Dolphins, but a nice win today. Uh, all things considered, a nice well-rounded team victory and about as thorough an asskicking as you could deliver to the Jets.
