AD Outduels KD; Flagg & B-Will Cooked | Dallas Mavericks Team Highlights vs the Rockets (12/6/2025)

Kevin Durant is a threat to shoot from anywhere. He finds a hole in Capella and a challenge put in. Another opportunity missed by Capella but stays after it without Shon Steven Adams but Capella is just as effective. We see Cooper hit the three. Yes, we do see Cooper hit the three. The first Dallas points of the game and driving left to the hoop. No good. It’s AD on the offensive glass and he scores against Capella. Outlet pass to Nimhard. Lees it Marshall. And Marshall with a thrust to the basket for the slam dunk. Here’s Ryan Nhard going all the way in attacking and scoring. He just needed four going into that game to surpass 31,000 for his career. Ryan Nimhard trains another shot. Here’s Davis in the paint. He got the two right back for the match. He pushed the lead back to seven points. Duke with the attack over Jamari Smith and he scores against another long rangy defender. There’s an attack by AD 10 shots. Lost ball KD on the floor. Marshall could pick it up. So now Kogi’s got it. Houston has a chance here and the shot clock runs out. Numbers in the first 20 games for Coop. Nice pass Nhard. Nice move. Davis looked to spin away from the defender and make the catch and then score. You guys know how much I like to see him grab defensive rebounds and then run. He doesn’t necessarily run. He got a shot up and hit it. Pretty little turnaround made by Coupe attacking a smaller defender. Somebody get that baby out the street. Brandon Williams dribbling into silver Aaron Holiday and the Maverick Seesaw back in front. He is a non-staff GLeague and a lot of moves to get the medal in rise. Woo! Williams on the hard drive and pull on it. That’s one that will count the Aaron Holiday in his eighth year from it. Take it away PJ Washington. The big daddy Tom from the G. And here is big high low passing action converted by Dallas as PJ finds Anthony Davis. First mass player in doubles features and it’s a takeaway by Nimhard. He helped out with the double team against Smith. Up ahead to DLo and that will fall. Transition attack for DLO. Glad he was able to pop up on that one. Yes. Drive right here by DLO. And DLO, as he’s very good at doing, underneath the arms of his defender. A man Thompson called for the foul. 3836. Now here it is. Wow. Accelerating up the baseline and then a really acrobatic finish underneath. Some melter skelter action in that sequence. And there’s Cooper coming up from behind Jamari Smith Jr. with the block. And Nimhard digs out a loose ball and still free. He retrieved the loose ball and called timeout a moment ago and Durant misses and Coupe with the rebound. Pal got it back. Shot clock didn’t reset though. So Christie in the corner, works his way out to the wing, makes it a three and draws a foul. Wow. They call it three the hard way. How about four? There it is. Four-point play for Max Christie. Tie of the game. Pass out to the corner. Amen. Thompson rebounds and miss by Jamari Smith Jr. But it’s stolen. And here’s C in the open court to Ki chasing. Coup ducks around even scores. And again, we’ve seen how good he is with that left hand to be able to get it up. Assist for C. Straight music for B. Thompson’s averaging 18 a game this year. Brandon Williams plan for takeoff. Blake clock for Durant. Late clock’s not going to bother him. A little hesitation, but he missed. Good minutes for BiT playing on the second night of a back for the second time this year. Rising up for another jumper. Brandon Williams does it again. Kevin Durant. He’s going to go up a couple more spots. Nice crossover to get it rhythm for the midi. Anthony Davis. Here’s Anthony Davis working in the mid post against Clint Capella. Shot clock winding down. Looks totally comfortable taking that low shot clock jumper. Two-point lead for Houston. Here’s AD against KD on the money for Davis again. Thompson saddled with some foul trouble in the first half. Just never really got into any kind of rhythm on offense at one point in the first half. Durant got a health challenge in there. Line up the seams. Check your feet right now. Marshall in the paint. Operating comfortably in the mid-range a lot tonight. missed on that one. Tipped out by Marshalls and Nimhard C and an ISO and a drive and a finish with the left hand over KD. 20 games in a row for Cooper flag into double dig and good defense by Coopard to Davis. Low clock situation. Double team’s coming and he got the shot away. It’s in there and a foul is called too. Nice little step back knowing that the double team’s coming on that high side back in the game. Show and go by Akoki. Pass in a crowd and it’s Williams who has the loose ball. And then Williams racing to the other end of the floor. He’s fouled. And the Mavs have that rebound. Might car back to Capella, but it didn’t. And then Brandon Williams all night long he has had an extra gear. He dancing on the ceiling. Oh, here is a steal by Anthony Davis. and Davis will accelerate up ahead. He was looking back at the defense. Smith with a drive blocked by AD. Coup picks up the loose ball in transition and no stopping him as he goes to the basket. And the only thing that does stop him is a defensive foul. Coup makes his free throws. Shepard on the drive. Steal Brandon Williams. And then it’s a foot race and Washington has run along with Brandon Williams. Reset for the Rockets. Shepard with it for the Rockets who come in with 15 wins and just five losses this year, but it’s a big run right now by Dallas. They’ve opened up a nine-point lead. Got another chance in transition. And PJ Washington, the forceful and powerful finish. Your turnover points caused a lot of those turnovers tonight with aggressive defense. Here’s Davis. Aggressive offense to the baskets. Headed down towards 3 minutes left in the third quarter. Brandon Williams aggressively to the baskets. 73% from the floor this quarter. And here is Davis. Another one of those athletic plays. Stepping through a crowd of bodies in the paint. Here’s B will be Will. Nice up and step through. Oh, this game tonight for Brandon Williams. And Durant tried the pocket pass and it pinballs off a defender. Here’s speed. Oh no, but it’s guided home. Easy little put back for PJ. Naji Lee Powell to end the third quarter. Marshall coming beaters and there’s your exclamation point. Their previous quarter best scoring margin was a plus 15 and those happen in quarters earlier this week. Second quarter against Denver and Miami in both of those games. Naji ended the third quarter and will start the fourth quarter with free throws. Steel Cooper Black and he finds Nimhard with a great pass. That was outstanding. Nimhard typically dishes dimes like that. But Coup’s got that in his locker as well. He’s put in a really good shift tonight with 27 points. Marshall in the paint. Yes, sir. It is cash money operating inside. It’s a drive inside by Powell and free throws coming for Dwight Powell with 933 to play and it’s C claiming that rebound. Not easy to grab those defensive boards against Houston, but Dallas does there. Ryan Nhard three-pointer is in there with the softest of touches. Houston has really drafted well the last few years. Here’s Marshall and he scores again. He’s got to continue to execute on this side of the floor. Here’s a drive by C. He draws a foul and will go to the free throw line. Made all four of his free throws tonight for the backside. Look out. Thompson with gambling for the steal. Davidson popped it and he catches the air ball that was shot by PJ and scores. Here comes the double. Dallas moves it. PJ’s had a lot of looks from the corner tonight. Thompson’s out in the open court. And stolen by Brandon Williams Coupe and here comes Coupe less it for eight. Coup’s got it. Lake Block operating smoothly and hitting that area now. Marshall on the attack. Little runner inside. The elite club gang is on display again. Here’s PJ with some good defense and he has played excellent defense all night long. Up ahead to Coupe and Coop. Bam. Cooper flag adds to his highlight reel. Got a guy like that coming at you with that kind of athleticism, I get out of the way, too.

  1. I was team tank for a bit, but seeing how happy Coop seems with this much winning made me change my mind. He's a winner he wants and need to win. Giving him playoff or even just play in experience as a rookie would be huge for him

  2. Thank you, Panda! I don't watch other highlights, and I always wait for the Panda-cut every single game even after the loss.

After the Luka trade, I was wondering how long it will take the Mavs player break the record. Now, Coop have done that many times already. Yes, of course most of those records are age dependent, but all the 18 years old players can't do the things Coop does. Man, this healthy Mavs, even without Kai, D-Live, and Gafford, no longer are tanking team. They compete every single game with or without stars, and I always appreciate their efforts regardless of the results.

I prefer tanking this season because we don't have the controlled picks until 2030, but part of me want to see how things work out with Kai coming back. Kai, Max, Coop, PJ, and AD line-up seems fun to watch.

  3. Man we on the right track again. Not because of winning. But because of a happy Dirk back, supporting in the stands, with his son rocking the 32 shirt.
It's healing time for us Fans, that's how to move on from such a big heartbreak.

    …Winning helps immensely though 😀

  4. Did they say Kyrie should be coming back somewhere around january or so? Man im so excited to see Cooper, AD and Kyrie playing together

    lineup mixes of
Nembhard/Kyrie, Max/Klay, Cooper/PJ, AD, Gafford the team has both pieces that will develop into their primes but will be able to gain massive experience from having champions that allows them to compete

  5. I see a lot of cp3 in nembhards game. Not even a mavs fan, but I find myself watching your clips regularly now. I love your attention to detail and variety, these are highlights for the basketball junkie

  6. A few things. If AD can stay somewhat healthy and play close to what he did tonight and we keep getting play from Ryan and Coop like this, this team will absolutely climb back into the playoff race and be a problem! Don’t belt me? Both of our bigs are out along with Kyrie! This season has been a shit show health wise and we weren’t in sink early! The initial goal now is to get back to .500. After that, get Kyrie back and go on a serious playoff run! OKC is a problem, but nobody else wants to see this team if healthy!

  7. I don't think people realize how important PJ is to this team. Fully healthy, I like their chances against OKC. When they play OKC and PJ plays, it is always close.
Anyway, great win. This team is figuring it out. Just need to get and stay healthy and anything can happen.

Edit: PJ does not like Dlo. I can't blame him. Dlo has 0 basketball IQ half the time and does stupid sh(i)t. Davis and KY gave him a talking to 😂

  8. I can't stop being amazed at how good Cooper really is – it's just unreal.
    Such an incredible game.
I mean, seriously – 19 points, and just think about it: 2 blocks, 2 steals, 5 rebounds, 3 assists – and all of that in a back-to-back against the second best team after Oklahoma, basically one of the strongest teams out there.
It's just insane. And he's only 18 years old.

  9. 7:08 Say what you will but Dallas made KD look foolish a few times on defense tonight. Williams put him on skates a couple times and he couldn’t recover.
This is a team that can prove that they can be great if and when Kyrie returns.
Brooklyn, Utah, Detroit, Philly and New Orleans. 3 or 4 pretty winnable games in the next couple of weeks.
