or am I dumb?

Maybe he wasnt punished per-say, however, I dont get why hes demoted to the 2nd line and 2nd PP after proving he was a major asset

Hedman comes off IR and all of a sudden Raddysh, whose been THAT guy (filling in his shoes), gets moved down with less ice time

Wouldn’t Hedman & Raddysh be an elite pairing?

(btw not a bolts fan so correct me if anything is rlly wrong)

  1. Moser and Raddysh have proven to be a really good pair so I don’t think Cooper wants to split them up.

  2. Raddysh’s great play was WITH Moser, so I see the coaches wanting to keep them together. Whoever this chart is from probably put Hedman first because he’s Hedman, but Hedman didn’t play first pair minutes last night. (He actually played the least)

  3. Moser-Raddysh have been the top pair with all of the top guys out and they have been killing it. Hedman needs a new partner and some sheltering so I’m totally cool with him seeing ice with other guys, even though Moser at RD was an awesome partner for him.

How awesome is it that we have so much defensive depth this year? Down to Carlile and Santini both playing great.

  4. The broadcast team made the similar statement. Moser/Raddysh pairing has been very successful. Coop wants to keep the chemistry. Labeling Hedman as #1 is about respect for the captain. The players have been playing unselfish hockey.

  5. D’Astous was taking one of the QBs for our PP the other night. I don’t recall seeing Hedman.

  6. This question feels silly to me. And vaguely in the genre of rage bait.

I don’t know if the ranking system means much.

I don’t personally think it means much nor do I think it’s an insult to Raddysh.

If there’s one thing you hear and see over and over, it’s how Cooper puts his lines in the blender all the time. (which I realize other teams do as well) He seems particularly not wed to his line assignments and I think likes his players to be prepared to play with any line/player which works to their advantage when they find themselves having to play with different combinations due to injuries or penalties.

In response to interview questions, I believe Jon Cooper has even made statements commenting that he doesn’t consider his fourth line as “4th”, particularly. It’s more like 4 groups and he loves it when all of his lines play well. Which, don’t we all?

I mean, due to all of the injuries, the exits and the entrances by players because of the injuries, I think there’s going to be ongoing extensive line juggling. It is what it is.

Raddysh has really had a glow up this year that he has to have worked really hard for and persevered for. I mean early in the season he was getting scratched. And then, look at him now, he’s the player of the week by the NHLPA? Kudos to him & he’s not being overlooked.

  7. Don’t go into the tier system to deep with tampa. As coop said there’s no really 1st/2nd/3rd/4th line, its more of a “I have 4 forward lines + 3 defence lines to use”.

Raddysh + Moser are a pair and coop wants to keep it that way. Hedman gets to have tryouts too see who fits well with him.

Not sure on the PP1/PP2 situation as i rather have Raddysh in the Bjorkstrand spot for now. But i see why coop put him on PP2.

Hedman may take another game to ease into stuff but i expect him to be back to his usual self soon.

Raddysh has been amazing lately and hopefully it continues that way!

  8. I don’t know why people still freak out about the pairing/line order with this team.

Just go look at the game log and you can see that Raddysh led all Bolts in ice time last game.
