  1. Treated pretty poorly by the fans and eventually run out of NY. Not his fault, he and Ryan Thompson were traded for a beloved Mets David Cone. Kent really became a HOFer as soon as he got to SF.

  2. this is absolutely absurd. Terrible defensively, he was nothing but a very good bat. 5 time all-star, one MVP (2000)

  3. I thought he was a HOFer as 2B. I heard he wasn’t the best teammate? Maybe that’s why he had to wait so long?

  4. He’ll go in as a Giant. He played there longest, won and MVP there and had his best stretch there by far.

  5. He was on the Mets during what I would call lean years…I was in high school from 92-96 and it wasn’t fun being a Mets fan during that stretch…lol

  6. Kent’s been my all time favorite since I was six years old in 1995. I was told my entire life he wouldn’t ever get in. Idgaf what the haters say, idc at all about anyone that deserves it more, Jeff Kent is headed to Cooperstown and sometimes childhood dreams can come true🥹

  7. David Cone for Jeff Kent (awkward stud) and one of my favorite Mets of all time, Ryan Thompson. I’ll never forget it.

  8. Still so funny to me that I’m a lifelong (albeit somewhat young) Mets fan but my introduction to Jeff Kent was Survivor lol

  9. I got into a knock-down argument with friends in college back in 1995 when I said Kent was on track for a HOF career.

    Take that, friends!!!
