Bart Scott, Willie Colon, and Connor Rogers react to Jets’ 34-10 loss to Dolphins
That’s losing to the Dolphins by
score 34 210. They now dropped to 3 and 10 on the
season. Are officially eliminated from playoff
contention. But guys, I want to start with the major story from
this game. That’s Tyrod Taylor going down with a groin
injury in the first quarter Connor, I’ll start with you. How
did that injury affect the game? Well, you look at the
script they were playing in because the defense was beyond
bad in the first quarter right out of the gate, there in a, you
know, a come-from-behind script, and you have a UDF, a quarterback. So it sets
limitations on what you can do to your offense and I think that
she’ll see it also impacts the, you know, the Run game
because then Miami starts to load up and play The Run game as
well. So it put a lot on, Brady Cooks
plate by the time he got going in the second half. There was
too many drops for them to overcome. So, just the script at this team,
most teams cannot win by as what happened today, and that’s
what happens. Unfortunately, when your second Stringer is a,
you DFA and your starter while of Tyrod Taylor. But he’s at a
lot of injuries in the second half of his career. Yeah, it was tough because, you
know, I thought this was going to be stacked day. For a breeze,
hog, right? The Dolphins have one of the worst
run defense in the NFL and we didn’t see
much of him solely because they get, you know, Dolphins, got so
far ahead. But this is a tough, man, because I thought this was
a game. Even though the Dolphins came out hot. I
felt like the Jets were strong enough to counteract all that.
It just didn’t happen. And now the Jets, you know, this
is one of the losses where you just got to just strap it up
and keep moving on but I don’t take nothing for what
they’ve been able to accomplish last couple weeks. I mean, as a
defensive player I mean I’ll get the stats later but you know they got the ball
ran down. Their throat. Yeah, so it’s
about the like Ade. Nobody was missing from defense, right? We
talked about them and weep at it there, by, on the back about
the defensive, tackles the linebackers and all that
stuff. They got manhandled. They
got manipulated by shifts motions. Cutbacks boots. Waggles
everything that they got still dominated with the first time
and I’m sure when I get to status, is going to say 200
yards rushing that’s going to say 39 in Istanbul from, right?
So then h n right, hn gets hurt and the Goes to work on you. So I mean, it’s one thing to
lose is nothing to get physically dominated and whipped
and that’s pretty much what they did you can say by
scheme or by physicality. I think it was a mixture of
both. And you know, how many times do
we see when they when they faked the
toss, the linebackers have bossed over
so far that tool was thrown into a wide window where
it’s like the separation between a
defensive cornerback. And the next line by line backer is like five
yards. He’s doing it. He’s like Throwing the ball into the
ocean and just is wide open. So, I mean, for me, it’s the
lack of being able to come down here. Physical, if the
linebackers, taking the path of least resistance, you know,
going underneath blocks, everything was structurally,
horrible hesitation, all that based off of ships, motions post Snap motion
and and it just physically dominated, you know, so for me. Yeah, you know, tie rod is one
thing, right? But to have the 21-nothing that went to had
nothing to do with time, He’s the first quarter. They had
to be doing. We’re getting punched in the mouth, and
physically dominated. Now, that’s something I can’t accept.
Now sometimes, you know, I remember going against
the Wildcat and you seeing all this stuff and you, you pause it
and it sets up the offense of blocks and
stuff like that. But at some point, you got to
figure it out. I mean, he’ll Blitz off the backside so you
don’t have to worry about the boot coming. That way your
linebackers can feel like they can flow fast without having to
cut back, but this is the second time that
H has dominated them. Usually one thing happens. Look at this, this is what we’re talking about. And
then this is this is a receiver here. These are chunk plays a
supposed to play. It’s from running the football. This is
this has up linebacker going underneath.
What are you going underneath the block form, the path of
least resistance, you got off light work, you got to fight to
get over the top. This is right up the gut right down to harder,
your defense bad tackling that we saw early in the season. But then this is.
What do you think? He just broke Five Town. One, two,
three. Everybody wants to do this new stuff. Let me get the
punch out. Let me get there. You got to secure. Tackle frying. First man can’t be punching that
has to be the second man. My point I was just managed to
tackle second bag, go foot, but I thought defensively, man, the fact that we couldn’t get no
to it gets rid of the ball but we had nothing drawing up to
make him pause or slow as process down. It seemed like he
was in Rhythm early and we never did anything to kind of
counteract that and we talked about a pregame
like man, you know if he gets in Rhythm he’s gonna kill you
and we did nothing from a blitz to make them uncomfortable. We
didn’t need McDonald’s. Nothing nothing made him
uncomfortable. Able to because because you were coming off
boots and waggle. So there’s moving a launch point for him,
buying time and the defensive ends weren’t doing a good enough
job even when they went to their sink front, what we
call saying front five people on the line of
scrimmage well that’s what I was hoping
against the pocket, we had nothing for it and pregame
Connor. We also talked about how the Jets need to dictate the
pace of Brian’s game and they were able to, they got
found themselves in a big hole. How much harder is it? Make it
for them to dig themselves out of that? They’re not good enough
to play that way and I know that’s harsh but maybe
they’ll be good enough for all survive. When Aaron Glenn,
Darren mooji have a couple off Seasons here and they can draft
and develop right now they have guys in their scheme that are
holdovers from the previous regime, not all of them but a couple of them Jets
aren’t good enough to play that way and you’re definitely not
good enough to play that way. When you add Fields is the
quarterback, we like tie rod that’s even a tough script for
tie rod. He’s the most equipped on the roster, do it pretty
cook. You can’t expect him to do that either. So that’s the problem to me,
Chelsea right out of the gate is when you’re losing like that and
now you’re allowing them to run the ball and then you
allocate more Defenders to the run and you’re getting beat
on plays. Like Bart said that we Just saw them lose to the last
time they played Miami. I mean, how do you have tight ends
running wide open over the middle of the field for the
Jets defense? Right now is a Borderline Disaster and that’s
on the linebackers and it’s on the defensive
coordinator right now because they look lost out there. They
look overwhelmed, they’re not big enough to play in the scheme
that forces thumping, linebackers come downhill and
body. Somebody credits of the Dolphins, they got to the second level as fast as
they could today because they knew if they got bodies on the
Jets undersized linebackers, it was over, Mike, McDaniel people
like to make jokes about him and all that. He’s The best Run
game coordinators in the sport of the last 10 years. When you visit a
Pilates on body, it gets up, you gotta tackle as
well. So we gave it gets a lot of praise for kind of
stabilizing over the five weeks before this today was, there’s no way around
it. It’s disappointing. And I know you don’t have all
your, you know, your long-term players out there. Whatever it
is, this is bad, tackling, it’s bad preparation. And honestly, another bad look
for this defensive scheme, are you teaching one Gap
penetration and allow us to run
to the And level not holding jump
through, is not keeping people off your linebackers least. I
used to love the day when I saw a full back with a neck roll
because I will tell him guess what you’re going to need it. I’m about to break it and it needs to soft as hell.
Naw, man.

3 games is generally how long Tyrod lasts for a stretch of play before getting hurt. The fact they didn't have Cook more prepared is embarassing.
The Jets DC did not properly prepare the D for the Dolphins. There were not many aggressive run blitzes, or adjustments to the run scheme. F grade
That was just so hard to watch today. Outside of special teams, really no positives.
This defense cord wilks cannot come back next season he has been absolutely brutal as a DC and this HC didn't have them ready to play lets keep that real
I guess Fields cant be blamed this week…though i know some will try ๐this is just a bad team at the moment..im not too confident with this DC. Could it be a talent issue perhaps yes…but there are too many games where receivers are just running free.
Huh?! What a nice way for Justin Fields to middle finger the Jets and his team mates…. sore knee after not playing in weeks…..must be his strong faith …and agrents that helped him make the sound selfish decision to bail on his teammates. Let Brady play again the rest of the season and keep head case Justin inactive. Sign soneone off the street that wants to play to backup Brady. Who wants to see that Bum Justin again? No one.
Glenn started 0-7 and 0-6 in the division incoming. Fire glenn!! him and his staff will ruin mendoza or whoever. Get Kingbury or Joe Brady pair with a young QB.
Absolutely pathetic ๐ก
Woody being cheap with the football team and on set I see with the lack of camera angles and random music
l๐
Hey how about that Brady Cook he is good, not he is terrible
How were the Jets making the playoffs at 8 and 9 ๐
Those uniforms… Good grief. ๐ค
Bart Scott is the only one telling the truth
Bart Scott is uninformed about miami run defense
Disgusted with a capital "D"!
affirmative action aaron glenn players know he in over his head and are not playing for him
21-0 had nothing to do with Tyrod ๐ he threw an interception and had 9 yards passing. Yes TF it did. If that was Justin he woulda went in. PATHETIC
That was a classic ass kicking ๐
Can't blame Justin anymore. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐
Time get rid of defensive coordinator. Jets get no turnovers and constantly out schemed.Never wish for someone to lose there job but come on
Now have to get in position to draft Fernando Mendoza no matter what… He is the real deal and will change this franchise, finally!!!
Why is this woman talking about football?
I'm sorry you guys have to cover this team. How many years will the Jets go without even a wildcard berth? Right now they are at 15 years. I'm guessing 5 more to go for a playoff spot.
What's our draft position?
Chelsea ๐
The jets are pathetic. This isnโt Justin Fields fault.
2 different QBs today had a total of 3 picks and ohhhhhhh 0 touchdowns ๐
Truly pathetic! Fields should give 2 middle fingers and keep saying my leg hurts I canโt play but pay me all my money and laugh till to the bank
Dolphins run defense is top 5 over last 6 games
Despite the loss, I liked what I seen from Brady. He got the potential to be our guy.
Willie didnโt do his hw. Dolphins running defense has been good for a bit now
How did this team even win 3 games?!
Get BREECE HALL THE BALL IN SPACE IDIOTS
Miamiโs run scheme is much different than the first game and no one has had an answer for it.
Just bench Justin and aฤบl will be fine you bozos๐๐๐ ๐
Itโs official #7 the best Qb on this team regardless if you see #7 as the future starter
I am happy with todayโs game because we are moving on with Cook playing the next 4 games left
Taylor shouldnโt be our QB2 next year but rather Cook and now he gets to practice with the number ones and get new start with our 2 new WRs
Plus we stay or moved up for next yearโs draft
Win win imo ๐๐๐๐๐
I know what jets stand for : just end the suffering ๐
UDFA? Bro just say Undrafted free agent.. donโt be a wise guy
Watched the game on the plane.
Defense played badly especially in the beginning.
Our best QB is TT but I am not surprised he unfortunately got hurt. I was hoping they could find/bring in a veteran to backup T.T. All the best to J.Fields but he wouldn't have been the answer and wasn't the full blame for the team loses this season but he has a fair share. Moving on, we need a consistent QB beside T.T with his unfortunate injuries the last few seasons.
Overall, the team looked bad. Do better next game. Thus, I agree with Connor they are not good enough and keep bringing in the talent but the number 1 need is a consistent QB/franchise with solid backup who doesn't unfortunately gets hurt a lot.
Cheerio
Patriots were ass the last 2 seasons, already contenders with a new HC. The Dolphins were 1-6, they're 6-7. The Jets have to stop with this "it'll take a few seasons" nonsense. There is no reason this hasn't been turned around over the last 15 years
