  1. 13 games in, below .500, team can’t get a single thing going. It’s now impossible to win the division and we would need a ridiculously improbable sequence of events to even make the wild card, where every team ahead of us has a head-to-head tiebreaker.

Is it okay to acknowledge the palpable shortcomings with the team yet, or does that make you an irrational doomer who’s not a real fan of the team?

  2. Absolute malpractice by Andy Reid on that 4th down call straight up gave this game to the Texans.

  3. Going for it literally ended the season. Zero fucking reason to be that aggressive when you’re defense had held repeatedly and you’re on your OWN(!!!) 31 where that’s gifting points in a game where your offense has struggled to put up any and its against the best defense in the NFL.

Just fuck off Andy, the decision making this year has been terrible and thats on him. Either fire peices of your horrid coaching staff or retire. People in this building shouldn’t be giving the chance to finish this season with dignity when you’re wasting a year of Mahomes’ talent, but they will cause there’s no spine in this organization.

  4. That first turnover on downs on our own 30 completely turned the tide of this game. That’s some straight up Hue Jackson level of coaching and the wheels completely fell off from there.

What a way to spit in the face of your dominating defense. Worthless offensive scheme, incompetent coaching, and horrible execution.

Also, shout Esa Pole – dude is a dawg.

  5. Inb4
“Got some things to clean up”
    “It starts with me”
    “We’re one play away”

  6. That’s basically the season. Playoff chances are like 10% now but feels even lower. Between coaching and execution mistakes from all phases, that anemic 1st half, injuries and inherent roster flaws, this team again fell short. The worst thing is they’ve been in literally every game till the end but they can’t seal the deal.

I don’t think I saw a single play from under center in the 1st half. We lost a 4th o-lineman on the first series and yet we’re still doing the same thing offensively despite the same issues. The slow starts and fact that we haven’t implemented at least a few plays and wrinkles from under center or elsewhere is malpractice. Mahomes has done a lot but those first two turnovers especially are inexcusable from our best player. Add on the drops when the play call does work and that’s the final straw. Despite the defense’s flaws and Mcduffie’s injury, they were on fire for most of the 2nd half and gave the offense multiple chances.

Now we wait for a miracle or start rooting for draft position for next year. Something needs to change next season. Mahomes needs to take the offseason to reset. If Kelce hangs it up, it’ll still be a loss. Veach, Andy and Spags shouldn’t be going anywhere but there has to be some adjustment in coaching personnel or team philosophy otherwise the team is just going to stagnate.

  7. This was needed. 100%. You can’t reward this asinine stroke victim play calling and holding on to unproductive players by limping into the playoffs. And saying “What do you mean we’re not good? We made the playoffs!”

It’s reminds me of Tomlin and the Steelers.

We’ll be fine. We always bounce back eventually, but you can’t do the same shit OVER AND OVER again and expect positive results. Eventually, coaches figure your team out, and you have to adjust. There have been ZERO adjustments.

It worried me last year, too. We somehow sprinted blindfolded into the playoffs and Super Bowl by winning a lottery winning percentage of one score games. It wasn’t sustainable, and guess what? It was rewarded.

I stand behind how I started this rant. This is good. Change is scary, but we need it.

  8. Everything will be doom and gloom tonight, rightfully. But Chris jones played out of his mind tonight and I don’t want anyone to forget that.

  9. The teams issues are personnel on defense and coaching on offense.

If they don’t fire coaches on the offense and inject real talent into the defensive line next year will be a repeat of this one.

  10. Seeing one of the best defensive performances of any team, going for a 4th down when you’ve had 5 straight incomplete passes will probably go down as the stupidest call of the year

  11. It feels so much worse because we can win. If we punt when we should, we make field goals, and we don’t drop balls. Our D was phenomenal in the 2nd half.

  12. Congratulations Josh Allen! You finally won’t have to play against Mahomes in the playoffs.

  13. We don’t have a WR1.

Rice can only win within 10 yards and has mediocre hands. Worthy is made of tissue paper.

    Rice is a WR2. Worthy is a WR3.

Need to trade for someone PROVEN. Or trade up and take a non fucking small WR. Take a 6 foot guy who can win every level of the field.

  14. They have invested so much into the pass catchers the last few years and they’re still not that good. The line played about as good as you could expect under the circumstances but the receivers didn’t give them a chance to win

  15. It’s going to get lost in the absolute coaching malpractice but Nohl Williams is legitimately a better outside corner than Mcduffie who gave up damn near 100 yards before going out with injury.

  16. Funny thing is that despite all our issues we were still in a position to win and just found a way to lose. Story of this team this year.

Travis was right that we’ve been so close every game and have just completely found new ways to lose each week.

  17. Said it in the game thread: wasting a season of Mahomes’s career is unforgivable.

The coaching is substandard. Nagy took over the best offense in football coming off the greatest QB season in history and it has fucking tanked. Embree takes over as WR coach and it’s nothing but a festival of drops, bad routes, indecision, and awfulness. Talent evaluation is off. Morris? Caliendo? Seriously?

The defense has deficiencies and the 3rd and long shit is really bad but it shouldn’t have to play perfect every game for us to eke out a win. Two years of having to do it while getting older and losing veterans is tough.

Not sure where to go from here. These things are hard to turn around and it certainly won’t happen this season.

  18. I’m not gonna lie, I knew this was coming, and I think a lot of us knew this was coming. We are fucking ass this season. We need to figure it out in the off season

  19. We weren’t doing shit in the playoffs anyway. Just enjoy your Sundays with fantasy football lol

  20. The play calling on offense is just… Awful. Did we forget intermediate throws exist? Its either chuck it deep and pray, or throw a wr screen for 2 yards? We can’t even run a fucking slant? Want a run? Yup, it’s from shotgun.

What the actual fuck is going on? Is our team run by a 22 year old madden player?

  21. Maybe veach held onto all the picks at the trade deadline cause be knew we’d be drafting high

  22. No one wants to hear this now.. but this team and its coaching and management have given all of us more than we ever thought possible in our lifetimes. Wasting prime Mahomes years suck but we will be back. Honestly, this has been an extremely stressful season. Maybe knowing we are out of playoffs this early takes the edge off of what has been a miserable season.

Give Kelce a send off. Make several roster changes and get back at it next year.

  23. The season is over BUT big shout out to Esa Pole and Jaylon Moore. All this talk of how scary Houston’s pass rush is and how Mahomes is going to die- those two dudes held their own.
And stone cold Chris jones finally showed up.

  24. Dan fucking Campbell wouldn’t have gone for it in that situation.

We’re two results away from being eliminated. With three games to spare. Completely inexcusable.

  25. I just wish Mahomes had some fire. He’s clearly not happy if Bradys receivers failed him a fraction of the amount we’ve seen from our guys they would be benched.

  26. Butker sucks.

Andy needs to find a real OC who can call plays, Andy can tinker and design the offense and then someone with a brain can handle the in-game stuff.

Defense showed up. They weren’t perfect, but they made the plays that were needed, played hard. I take back half the bad things I’ve said about them. McDuffie hasn’t been looking great for a little while now and Williams stepping in and looking good might make the looming contract decisions around McDuffie a little easier to stomach.

Patrick made the plays, I’ve been yelling at his bad throws and missing open guys all season, but tonight he was putting the ball exactly where it needed to be, sometimes with superhero passes, broke off some strong runs, he was great.

I will love Kareem Hunt forever, that guy has heart, and what a stud run that was for the TD. I appreciate him giving everything he’s got. We need to go get a real running back.

Esa Pole: do we think he’s good? I was expecting him to get mulched by their rush and I watched him not get mulched like, SEVERAL times. Maybe small sample, maybe just a lack of film other teams have on him, but it’s the slimmest silver lining (even slimmer to think he’s been there for a while now…) to think maybe we’ve got a guy who could bookend the right side and get out from under some of our onerous tackle contracts.

Travis… that was rough. Hate to see that, for the team and for him. Same from Rashee, those are just haunting drops.

    Ugh. Football sucks.

  27. Silver lining: Esa Pole is good and we might have unexpected young talent between him and Simmons.

I’m talking about 2026, of course
