Are You Kidding Me..

Habs versus the Leafs. Lots of talk before the game last night hitting into this one. Two of these teams are just battling it out in the Atlantic Division last time they played. I guess you could say it it didn’t really go as planned for the Toronto Maple Leafs. But you see, last night was supposed to be different. Even Matchu himself said that they were going to be looking for payback heading into last night’s game. you know, we’re going to come Saturday and and uh you know, um give some payback to these guys. But ironically, this morning I had to double check the stat sheet just to confirm that nobody’s played. But anyway, I mean, we’ll get to that. You see, this game review, it’s brought to you by the good folks over at Mirage Trading. And at mirage.com, you can get your hands on just about any hobby box you could possibly think of. They got hockey cards, baseball cards, Pokemon cards, you name it. Mirage, they got it. It’s an easy way to get your cards online. Even I mean look at Jeff Gordon. I even caught him browsing Mirage on his phone during the middle of the game last night. You can find their links in the description of today’s video. But here we go. Habs Leafs. The puck is dropped. And even though there wasn’t a whole lot of action, I felt like the Leafs were looking pretty good during the start of the first period, the first 10 minutes. They get a couple of shots towards Dolby. They even they even forced the Habs into taking a penalty. But when the Canadians do manage to kill this one off, it’s it’s like a bit of a turning point in the game cuz at this point for the Canadians, it was a gas and no breaks. They just start piling up the shots and that gargantuan hell to beat. They’re trying to find a way to beat him. They’re trying to find a way to take a onegoal lead hitting into that second period. But you got to admit there was something different about this 6’7 Leafs goender last night. He was he was looking pretty good. He was undoubtedly their best player. So now we’re going to move on to the second period where this stellar goalending continues. But the Canadians, man, they are all over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Eventually, Stitch is going to get caught for this trip on Joe Valeno. He doesn’t like it. He thinks he thinks it’s a dive. And unfortunately for him, on the following power play, after some beautiful passing, we get our first goal of the game. And it’s a little bundle of joy. Cole Cfield picking up his 15th goal of the season. Not really a whole lot hell to be can do on this one to be honest. And to his credit, he does follow it up with a couple of massive saves. One on Demi Dove and one on Zachary Buluke right here. Robbery. That was that was pure robbery. Now, we do get a couple of more peculiar penalties during this period. I mean, they speak for themselves. Look at them. Just garbage cause. Two of these fan bases are unhappy about it. But I think one thing we can all agree on was that that second period was pure domination by the Montreal Canadiens. Again, I I can’t stress it enough. This Toronto Maple Leaf team right now is like ripping the wings off a fly. They don’t really do a whole lot anymore. I don’t know what happened to them. So, now we’re going to move on to the third period where the Leafs are trying to get themselves back into it. They’re trying to build up a little momentum here, but then it happens. Craig Barubi gets caught with six dummies on the ice instead of five. And this was a glorious opportunity for the Hebss to take a twogoal lead to, you know, potentially put an end to this thing. But no, instead it’s a couple of costly turnovers and Scott Lton gets in on a breakaway and he blasts one by Dolby shortanded. In this game, it’s all tied up at one. You know what’s funny? For the remainder of this period, I was waiting for the Havs to blow it because it felt like one of those games where they deserve to win, but they were just going to let it get behind them for some reason. The Leafs were a business trying to close this one out. Okay, they even get a late power play with just a few minutes remaining in the game. But the Hebs, they kill it off thanks to some godsy work from the PK unit, especially young Oliver Kaepern, who already looks like an NHL veteran out there. But this game’s going into overtime where the Leafs, they spend the first couple of minutes just skating around with the puck playing keep away or figure skating, whatever you want to call it. It does starting to open up a little bit right towards the end, but two of these goenders, they just continue to put on a show. So, off to the shootout we go where Willie Knander gets stopped. Our sweet little baby boy is up next. He goes right upstairs on the Giant. I’m not even sure how he does that. Just a perfect shot. Ron Jeremy’s little fella streaks in. He makes it interesting. He does get that one back for the Leafs. However, up next, we got Twig toesier and nobody in the building, not even Jeff Gordon, was prepared for what’s about to happen next. Look at him go. Look at that. Disgusting, man. I had no idea he could pull off that kind of What a dirt bag. He gives the Hebs the lead. Dolby makes one last stop. And ladies and gentlemen, the Canadians go on to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in what was a very one-sided affair in my opinion. Okay? Do not let that scoreboard fool you. Don’t let the Leafs picking up that that one point go directly to your brain because if it wasn’t for this guy right here, this game would have been nowhere near overtime. That was a pretty good overall game for the Canadians. So, let’s go ahead and take a look at the standings now. The Canadians are in third place currently in the Atlantic Division. You’re going to notice they’re just a couple of points out of first. And with a win tonight against the St. Louis Blues, they can indeed jump ahead to these spots and sit right at the very top. Last night, Ivan Demidav, he picked up another point, which means he’s got 21 points in 27 games this season. Right now, he’s he’s one point behind Becket Senica for uh for first place in the scoring race amongst rookies. So, Ivonne, shout out to you again, my man. But there’s a guy that we haven’t really talked about a whole lot so far in this video who’s probably the most excited guy on the roster right now. Apparently, he just loves beating the Leafs. I mean, I love playing here. It’s just a different feeling playing against the Leaves. Yeah, it’s good that he’s not crying. Uh 22 stops last night. One shot. Just one shot got by him. And I’m really hoping that this is something he’s going to build off. Okay. I’m really hoping that confidence is just skyhigh right now cuz obviously the Habs with all these back-to-back games, they’re going to need some really confident goalending hitting down the stretch. Tonight, I’m expecting to see Samuel Montalog get the start against the St. Louis Blues, mostly due to this back-to-back situation. You know what? I don’t know if there’s anybody in the league right now who could use a big game more than Samuel Montenbol. So, Snacks, I’m rooting for you. Get in there. Give your team a chance to win against the Blues. get the job done cuz that’s exactly what your team needs from you right now. The Blues are struggling. We all know that collecting these two points would just send the fan base into a frenzy because November was ass. We’re trying to forget about it. And the past couple of wins, the past couple of games for the Canadians have been pretty convincing. I’m going to go ahead and say it. If they even had average goalending in the months of November, they’d already be in first place right now. Yeah, the the injuries didn’t help, but they did not look confident for a very long time. And they did not look confident because the goalending just was not cutting it. But that’s going to do it for this video, guys. And you can let me know your thoughts down in the comments section. Let me know what you thought of this game. Please don’t forget to rip the pants right off the like button before you leave here. just just pants it. And maybe if you really really want to, you can also pants that subscribe button considering you’re already in that pancing mood. And hey, I’ll see you next time.

  1. A few things :
    1) This video is pretty late, brought my kids to the Christmas parade this morning they had a great time.
    2) Santa Claus is real, I seen him.
    3) The end of the video is a lil sloppy because I had to cut a 40 second segment due to "Gary."
    4) The 40 second segment talked about some of the struggles that happened in November aside from goaltending.

I hope you're all having a good weekend!
    Go Habs Go!!

  2. The shootout goal was sick by, Texier. Saw him do it in practice. Had a feeling he would score with one hand. Beauty!
What was even better was listening to, Paul Bissonette ' Eat Crow' what a clown.

  3. Since when have goalies been unable to play back to back? There was an Ol'G back in the day Glenn Hall. He would like before every game cause of nerves but he went on to an NHL record 500+ consecutive games! Home did this without a FLIPPIN mask! You telling me goalies can't handle b to b ? What a joke.

  4. Enjoyable game to watch, not just cause the Habs won . A shout out to the refs for letting the boys play. Besides a couple of “what the heck penalties” it didn’t turn out to be a game of who can score on the power plays.

  5. It's funny because laughton is a bad name in my exteneded family of families for dumping a supposing half sister …but I keep hearing in one ear how he's such an asshole and in the other ear I keep hearing he's been a phenomenal pick up..bitches don't like when you uograde beyond them i guess….the.irony at its best, I sit back and laugh he "got out"

  6. Not sure why you thought the cross-checking penalty against Tavares was uncalled for, Junkie. We all know from the expert analysis of Elliotte Friedman during the Habs-Leafs playoff round several years ago that Toronto considers cross-checking players in front of the net to be mean, unfair and something that needs to be removed from the game. You should have just played his commentary over the replay of Tavares 5 cross-checks in a row!
