  9. Peace and Blessings to Shedeur Sanders and his entire family. The Browns do not need another quarterback Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are good enough. The Browns have two first round draft picks In the 2026 draft. It would be wise to use those two first round draft picks on something other than a quarterback.

  22. So he went from being a possible 1st and 2nd round pick, then somehow became a 5th round pick, to being buried on the Browns depth chart, and now he's looking like he should have been the #1 overall pick. I don't know what the NFL has against this kid.

  24. Sanders is undeniably talented, but he remains a developing quarterback. He still forces throws and occasionally falls into “hero ball,” and many of his best plays come off-schedule. He needs to be more consistent with his footwork and timing. That said, it would have been malpractice not to give him first-team reps throughout the season. He has shown measurable improvement each week. After a difficult half against Baltimore, he rebounded against the Raiders, looked even sharper against the 49ers despite the loss, and performed well again today against the Titans.

    Critics will point to the quality of his opponents, but he can only play who’s on the schedule. They also claim he’s “not good” because many of his yards come after the catch. But yards after catch are a core feature of modern offenses—the foundational principle of the West Coast system, which underlies most NFL playbooks.

    Is he a franchise quarterback? It’s too early to say; the sample size is still limited. But on a roster with significant shortcomings, he is clearly the best available option. Drafting another quarterback in the current situation would be a mistake. The team needs an offensive line, a true WR1, and the ability to re-sign key linemen. All of this is already complicated by the looming $80 million cap hit from Watson. Using early draft capital on a quarterback instead of addressing the offensive line or wide receiver would be another act of mismanagement.

    The path forward is straightforward: re-sign Bitonio, Teller, and Robinson; draft Mauigoa; and take advantage of a deep wide-receiver class.
