Jokes aside I'm sure he's a decent prospect.

Also glad Wolf got a shutout

Also also there are still plenty of games so I'm not worried (yet)

  1. I’m worried. A run of wins is the most Calgary Flames way to respond to potentially getting a franchise altering prospect high in the draft.

  2. I think the question really is how long is it before other teams start making good offers for the players the Flames have.

With how close this season is, and how there are 32 teams who still think they can make the playoffs, I expect that the bids on several Flames players could enter unprecedented territories. This could be a once a decade sellers market and, depending on what they offer Conroy, I could see him being forced to make a trade.

A player like Kadri, Coleman, or Andersson is not worth giving up a blue chip prospect but if one is on the table you’d think Conroy would have to take it. These kind of deals are exceptionally rare, but they do happen when the market dries up and GMs get desperate.

  3. I mean, even the avs team that finished with 48 points won at least 20 games. It’s the nature of the sport. Still plenty of suck left. That said, this stretch has been concerning. If our goalies keep playing this way we’re doomed for mid.

  4. Very forgettable name, and has draft bust ring to it.

Has Calgary Flames written all over it
