This is why so many fans will break their backs for Matt Ryan. The hate and lack of appreciation he got from so many falcons fans was insanity. The smart fans know that 10 year period of 08-17 was as good as we’ve ever seen and probably won’t get that good again anytime soon
If you ever thought it was going to get better than that you’re insane. The chances of upgrading from NFC championship, and then eventually a superbowl appearance were slim to none.
The 08-12 Falcons were the most fun I’ve ever had watching this team play. Those teams were so damn good and they made my fall Sundays in college super enjoyable.
I told all my MR2 hating people they were going to miss him when he is gone
I told people you would miss Matt and co when they were gone. We were spoiled. Two NFC championship games. Division titles. Super Bowl Trip. Longest sustained run of success in the franchise history. We took it for granted. Now we got this. Im so sorry Matt and Mike.
Reminds me of when everyone wanted Nate Landman off the roster last year.
Here’s your reminder that, while it’s right to be upset, you dont know any better about what the team should do.
I knew those times were special. I went into every game knowing we had one of the best teams in football. I was still worried about choking every game but I knew we were actually good and could win. I haven’t felt that in 8 years.

too many of y’all got too caught up in 28-3 and completely glossed over that the falcons were in the Super Bowl, Matt Ryan was the mvp, and Julio Jones was Julio Jonesin. If you didn’t recognize those as the good times, I don’t know if you ever could
I know not everyone here is a Georgia fan, but in such a terrible season headed by such a terrible HC, I’m so grateful to have Kirby Smart coaching my Dawgs. An absolute night and day difference from Raheem
Most fans with any sense appreciated Matt 2008-2016. It’s the contract extension he got that put us in a bad spot post-2018. I’ll stand by saying that was a huge mistake and especially the thinking that he could play into his 40s after Quinn was fired. Team should’ve started planning sooner.

Can you believe this goofy team fired Dan Reeves? Like the Falcons were better than Dan Reeves at any point?
Anyone who didn’t know that we were going to quickly go downhill after Ryan was deluding themselves. I cut back my emotional investment in them the year he was traded.
The good old days when it was fun to watch Atlanta falcons football even tho they would get bounced in the first round or finish with a 9-7 record 💔
The key of life is to go into things with no expectations… like the time I went to the season opener against the Lions in 2008. Matt Ryan’s first pass was a TD. Michael Turner breaks single game rushing record in his first game. And, oh yeah, the Falcons won… handily. Some so-called experts predicted the Falcons would go winless. Such a pleasant surprise…
