When LeBron became a free agent after 2018, I remember telling my friend that I didn’t really want him to come to Philly. Not cause he wouldn’t help the team but mainly because I didn’t want an old head to stunt our young team and promising players.
Flash forward 7 years later and Simmons and Fultz are out of the league. Saric is barely a backup. Embiid’s knees are dust and he can’t play more than a game or two without needing time off.
All that and LeBron is still able to drop 30ish and hit daggers on us. Unreal
The next 9 games are probably going to make it crystal clear if Embiid has any hope of being a reasonably useful offensive option. Lots of days off, only one B2B. Weak opponents for the most part. Need to go 7-2 if we’re a serious team.
