The Detroit Lions PLAYOFF HOPES Are Very Much Alive After Week 14!

Well, the Detroit Lions playoff hopes just got a little more interesting along with the NFC North. Man, the Green Bay Packers right now are not only leading the NFC North, but they are currently the second seed after their victory over the Chicago Bears. Now, Chicago Bears fans have been nice to you guys, but now you see what the cuteness can get you. The cute Ben Johnson and the cuteness, man, is not always the best thing. You got to you can run the ball, get the first down, live to fight another day. He has some timeouts, but the cuteness is what you got away from it. And that’s one of his things. You’ll see this as your head coach. He likes to get cute at times that I’m sure you guys would have preferred him to run the ball. Now, my thought is that he was going to go for the win, which is a decision I also would have hated. You cannot risk giving a Packers a free, letting that whole game come down to one play. But the game is over and the Packers best the Chicago Bears. and a game that the Detroit Lions needed to go exactly the way that it went. Let’s take a look at the NFL playoff standings. And this is without before as Sunday Night Football is being played and before Monday Night Football with the Eagles playing. You can see now there is a new number one. The LA Rams said, “Hold my beer, man. No, no, no. We want our spot back.” Eliminating the Cardinals. I think they were eliminated last week, but they are back on top at 10 and three. Then you have the Packers. The Packers now are the second seed at 93 and one. The Detroit Lions will need to have a better overall record than the Packers because of the sweep. That’s why Lions fans, we needed a Packers win because we’ve already beat the Bears. We played them again. We could sweep them or split worst case scenario. And that will be better than if the the Packers had already swept us. So we our best hope is the Chicago Bears. You got the Philadelphia Eagles. They have yet to play. No matter what happens tomorrow, the Eagles will remain the third seed. They cannot move. So, number one and number two seeds are secure through 14 weeks. Number three will remain the same. Number four will remain the same. As a matter of fact, this playoff picture will pretty much not change after tomorrow’s game regardless of the outcome. You can see now the Seahawks are five. The San Francisco 49ers, they’re on a by-week as well as the Carolina Panthers. We’ll get to them in a minute. And with one loss, Bears fans, this is what it feels like, man. We went from we went from the top to the bottom and we have been on the outside looking in now for four weeks. We have not had a playoff spot in four weeks. So, yeah, the Bears with one loss. I saw something online that said from from first to seventh with with one throw. DJ Moore was open, would have had enough for a first down, but Caleb Williams, I either missed him or was trying to go for everything and just a really bad pass in the end zone, but it did help out my team. And now that is the playoff picture. So now the Bears are holding on. All of a sudden, their pray playoff probability is now sitting at 63%. Now we’re going to go down to the Detroit Lions. Look at this, man. 54% chance with that win over the Dallas Cowboys and a loss today by the Chicago Bears puts us at 54%. Here’s where it gets good. The Panthers now sit at 30. They have to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers either once or twice. So, right now they’re outside looking in. The Dallas Cowboys are hit on by a thread. And then the Minnesota Vikings. You can see here the Falcons, the Cardinals, the Saints, the Washington Commanders, and the Giants are all eliminated from NFC playoff contention. So, so far, man, this is juicy. This is juicy. Both teams have four, the Chicago Bears. Okay, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears face off, I think, in essentially two weeks. And the worst that they can do is split. So, they can split with or the worst for the Packers is a split. Best case scenario, they sweep the Bears. So, as far as Green Bay is concerned, so follow me here. We’ve lost, we got swept by the Packers, but right now we’re game up on the Chicago Bears, which means that that last game of the year, as I discussed a couple of videos ago, that last game of the year could literally be the Detroit Lions, the Chicago Bears, Sunday Night Football, game 272. And that will be three out of four seasons that the Lions have ended in game 272. 2022, 2024, and 2025 is shaping up for a win because the NFL likes to keep the win and get in scenario. They want the most at stake. Remember last year it was whoever is whoever the loser of that game is the fifth seed and the winner was the first seed and it wind up being the Detroit Lions. So, here’s a scenario that I’ve already done and you guys could see. We’ll go back to the NFL playoff machine on ESPN. This is pretty much the entire everything is locked in except these two games. I picked the Philadelphia Eagles uh because of Justin Herbert’s hand and I am taking the Texans, man, to win this game. This is not the Chiefs year. Texans defense is crazy. So, we’re gonna wrap it up now. Let’s go to week 13. Week 13, I can’t remember. I think I gave the Bears the win against the Packers on the last simulator, but I did have the Packers losing the game at home. So, it looks like it flipped. I took, if we look here, these are all my picks. Tampa Bay really doesn’t matter to us right now because they’re either going to win the South or uh drop out of the playoffs. There is a scenario where they’re battling with the Detroit Lions, but because we own the tiebreaker, we beat them, we would they would have to have a better record than us to overtake them. So, I’ve got them beating the Falcons because they’re just terrible. Let’s go down to the Knicks right here. I think you guys can beat you’re going to be at home. The Chicago Bears could beat the Browns, but the Browns put up 29 points today. That’s going to be something. That is going to be a game to watch. I’ve got the New York Giants winning that game. But let’s go down to the next game that affects the Detroit Lions. I think the Dallas Cowboys are going to win this game. So, right here, you can see I left these two games open. the Detroit Lions, LA Rams, and the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos. All right, now check this out. This is going to be a very interesting photo finish to the last week, month of the season. The NFC North is still very much up for grabs right now. The Packers have essentially a game and a half to like a game that tie is really going to come back and bite them could bite them in the behind. So with four games left, the Lions would have to have a better record than the Packers. So let let’s say the Lions they drop one and they’re 11 and six. If the Packers wind up 11, five and one, right, then they go they get the the the division. That’s how it is. So the Detroit Lions would have to have more more less losses less losses and that tie is going to be kind of a disaster. But the Denver Broncos could put up a fight against the Green Bay Packers and help us out. So, right now, the division is still up for grabs, but it’s not the the picture’s a little murky right now. It’ll really kind of secure itself in the next week or two. So, the NFC North is still very much alive for the Detroit Lions. That sweep is really going to hurt, but it’s better. We still have four games to go, and you you never know what could happen. But, all right, so this is how I think this is going to go. I think that the Denver Broncos, their defense is going to be too suffocating. I think that the Denver Broncos are going to win that game. Now, if the Bears beat the Cleveland Browns, then you can see that is where everything will lay out so far. Now, what if the Rams beat the Detroit Lions? They go back in first. They push the Seattle Seahawks down to number five. What if the Detroit Lions beat the LA Rams? All of a sudden, you’ll notice that now the Detroit Lions are still outside of the playoffs. So, what we need, this is with a Denver win, and we win ourselves. So, we would need a Cleveland Brown to put us back in the playoffs. And that’s how tight this race is. That’s how tight this race is. So, if we look at again, if we click here, the Chicago Bears are the second seed. If the Rams win this game, if the Eagles, if it goes just as I predicted, then you have the Bears as the second seed, the Detroit Lions are out of the playoffs with three games remaining. If if the That’s even if if they win, if the Cleveland Browns win and the Detroit Lions win, we’re back in the playoffs. If the Browns win and the Rams win, we’re out of the playoffs. So, all we can do is what we did on Thursday, which is handle our business. And best case scenario, we would want it to go like this. This is how we would want it to go is we would need to take care of business. I already have the Green Bay Packers losing to the Denver Broncos. And then this is really the game and I think this game happens before so we’ll know. So, it’s a possibility. It really is, man. that even with losses by both teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, that the Detroit Lions could not still be in the playoffs. If all three of these teams lose, then the Detroit Lions are not in. If they win this game, then they put out the Bears with three games remaining. So, of course, we will worry about the rest of the playoff picture, but again, it really was the best case scenario for week 14. We handled our business on Thursday and kept hope alive. Still not eliminated from playoff contention, still have the NFC North within our grasp. However, going into week 15, man, it is a big deal. If we beat the Rams, that’s going to be a tough task. There’s no Brian Branch. Kirby Joseph will most likely be back, but we’re gonna get one and lose the other, right? We’re already down our other starting quarterback. I expect mad roster moves to happen this week. But if if we win, as I dropped my pen, if we win, okay, that that’s pretty much No, that’s not all we need to do. Even with the win, we still would need a Browns win. Even with a win, and we’ll know because the game against the Browns happens early. as a matter of fact. So, we will be do Oh, shoot. We You know what? Let’s do that game. Let’s do that game. We’ll do that Browns Bears game. We’ll have the pregame tailgate. We’ll have that early and then we’ll watch because at that point, if the Browns were to somehow pull it off and beat the beat the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions could beat the Rams and all of a sudden take over that seventh seed. Man, this is going to be a real photo finish, man. But Bears fans, it’s one thing you’re going to have to wa watch out for. I’m going to take it easy on you guys today. I really am. Um, but that’s what you’re going to have to watch out for, the cuteness. Run the football. You’ll get You’ll see that a lot. Our coach likes to go for it on fourth down. Your coach likes to get cute in times that the run game was killing the Packers. DeAndre Swift guy was getting enough. I would have rather died on that heel than try to pass it against that Packer defense. But that’s just that’s something you guys have to deal with now. So for all the cuteness that Ben Johnson gives you, all of the creativity and all that stuff, he gives you that as well. I I’m I’m pretty sure I listen, I’m pretty sure Campbell I feel like he would have ran it. David McGomery or Jir Gibbs would have run that football, but you know, we’ll see.
