This Is The Beginning Of Something HUGE…

So, we begin today with a major report from the Athletic about one of our young Timberwolves is actually having the best season of his career. We’re going to break down the report and talk about which current Los Angeles Clipper superstar has actually made a significant impact on our young Minnesota Timberwolf. Now, as you might imagine by now after seeing those pictures, we’re dedicating today’s entire episode to one Jaden McDaniels. Welcome back to the Timberwolves Digest as always, North America. I’m Dave Dybala. I bring you daily Minnesota Timberwolves news, trade reports, trade rumors, and of course, a little bit of commentary on the side as well. Now, as you all know, I love to ask a question at the beginning of every single episode. And today’s question is really all about, is Jaden McDaniels actually underrated? Now, I think as soon as you actually go across the Minnesota state line, it is entirely possible you will come across a lot of people who are who are actually unaware of just how impactful Jaden McDaniels can be on this Minnesota Timberwolves team. I that of course is my personal opinion, but I’d love to get your thoughts and opinions on Jada McDaniels. I always like to say that the Timberwolves Digest is totally interactive. Go ahead and drop your comments in when you have a chance. Now, if you are new to the uh podcast, please go ahead and subscribe as well. We’re going to go ahead and dive into that report from John Krinski of the Athletic Next. Wolves Jay and McDaniels puts lessons learned from Kawhi Leonard to good use in win. Now, this is a headline that I thought I would actually never ever read, including this particular picture, which is a picture I thought I’d actually never see. I can only imagine what the conversation wasn’t actually like when these two actually got together. You want to talk about two of the quietest players in the NBA, these are the two that come to mind immediately. That being said, love to know your thoughts and opinions. We’ll dive into some of the details of that report in just a little bit, but first I wanted to quickly take a look back at what happened last night against the Los Angeles Clippers where of course the Timberwolves ended up winning 109 to 106. But the main reason the Timberwolves actually won last night’s game was of course the performance by Jaden McDaniels, who at this point from a three-point arc perspective is off the hook. Three for three last night, 27 points in the game. And we know that of course Chris Finch absolutely loves the fact that Jaden McDaniels is a fantastic and dare I say great defender. It is one of the reasons I think Jaden McDaniels actually gets so much playing time. But what we’re actually seeing out of Jaden McDaniels so far this season is of course something different than what we’ve seen out of him in previous seasons. not on the defensive side of the ball, but it is the offensive improvements that we’ve seen from Jaden McDaniels at this point that has been one of the major reasons he has been playing so well for this 15 and8 Minnesota Timberwolves team which has now rattled off five wins in a row. All right, so taking a look at last night’s performance in more detail. 10 for13, 77%. Uh, McDaniels has long had a reputation as one of the league’s better perimeter defenders, but he has often been viewed as a one-dimensional player until this season. He is averaging a career-high 16 points per game while shooting a blistering, and I love the word blistering, 48.5% from threepoint range. To say that Jaden McDaniels has made a leap forward so far this season would be an entirely accurate statement. love to get your thoughts and opinions on this topic. Go ahead and drop them in when you have a chance. So, just want to take a quick look back at last night’s game. We’ve got more from the report, which we’ll get into in just a second. But taking a look uh back at last night’s game again, uh we can see that Julius Randall for the second game in a row had a big night as well. Ant-Man, he he actually shot the ball more than six times, which is what he did in New Orleans in the last game in New Orleans last night. Uh played a little bit better last night. And as you all know, I’m on a mission to get Terren Shannon Jr. and Rob Dillingham more playing time. And Chris Finch apparently is not listening at this point. I just simply wanted to actually point that out. All right, so heading back to the report, McDaniels is showing that he is so much more in those workouts with Leonard when the two did actually talk. The twotime NBA Finals MVP told McDaniels how important it was to not be in a rush on offense. And I think what we’ve actually seen out of Jaden McDaniels throughout this season is exactly that. I can’t believe this, but I think Jaden McDaniels actually got great advice from Kawhi Leonard. Now, no word yet whether or not Kawhai actually wrote that down or actually said it and it came out of his mouth. But that being said, all jokes aside, I think it’s really good advice. And when we watch the way Jaden McDaniels has been playing so far this season, I think that advice has absolutely paid off for Jaden at this point. Finally, if we take a quick look at his stats for the season, you can see that Jaden is averaging 16 points a game, 4.7 rebounds, two and a half assists, one block, and 1.2 steals uh per game at this point. His field goal percentage is great. His three-point percentage, of course, is, and I’m quoting the report, blistering. I would love to know what your thoughts and opinions are on Jaden McDaniels. So, before we get out of here, I do just want to re-emphasize and ask the question one more time. Is Jaden McDaniels at this point actually underrated? What are your thoughts and opinions on that? I want to know where you stand on that. All right, thanks so much for tuning into the Timberwolves Digest. If you are new to the Digest, please go ahead and subscribe. Of course, like this video. 1. He is the Pippen to Ant's Jordan. Finch needs to focus on making them one-two. Now if Finch could rise to Phil Jackson's talent, they may actually get to the Finals.

  2. Jaden is an absolute beast! Love the fact that he doesn't need to do a lot of talking; he lets his game speak for itself. He's definitely underrated but has the ability to shift the game.
