Can we take a break from trade talk and remember one of the greatest Red Sox outfielders of all time?

  1. Love me some JBJ! I can still see that triple from the ALCS rolling along the left field wall.

  2. If people are interested, I traded a JBJ Bowman Rookie Auto /500 BGS 9 in to Dukes Collectibles in Shrewsbury MA

  3. I’m very obviously that guy… but one of the greatest of all time???

Ted Williams, Carl Yastrzemski, Dwight Evans, Harry Hooper, Tris Speaker, Jackie Jensen, Fred Lynn, Dom Dimaggio, Manny Ramirez, Tony C, Trot Nixon, Reggie Smith, Ellis Burks, Jimmy Piersall, Johnny Damon were all better players.

He was fun to watch, but we gotta start over-hyping and overstating guys. Bradley was a nice little outfielder.

    Let the downvoting begin

  4. I LOVE JBJ!!! What a player! Best defensive center fielder I’ve seen, (40’s) rocket arm. Saw him play in college and he was far and away the best player on the field. So glad he was on the ‘18 team and got a ring!

  5. Bradley was an adequate outfielder who had one really good postseason series. Let’s not get carried away.

  6. Got the JBJ pawsox bobblehead .

Top 5 defensive CF I have ever seen .

Who was a better defensive center fielder for the Sox since 95?

Ps don’t tell me it’s Victorino or Coco Crisp!

  7. All time? Sure if you born this century and have no concept of history.

This has to be a troll….:

  8. One of the greatest of all time? Idk about that. Sox have an awful lot of history, and we all remember JBJ’s issues at the plate (although god damn the 2018 ALCS was fun).

From a purely defensive perspective though, yea the man was incredible. It felt like there was no such thing as a ball in play that he couldn’t catch, and his arm was a cannon. Combined with Betts and Benintendi, that outfield was a force.

  9. One of the greatest defensive Red Sox outfielders of all time, but to be one of the greatest you have to play defense AND hit.

  10. My wife and I got to meet him. He was incredibly kind and signed a ball for us. I’ll be a fan forever!

  11. Gosh was he streaky…he’d go months cold as ice, then he’d suddenly become the hottest hitter on the planet for a month…then repeat. The number of Globe articles about him was astounding. He’s terrible! He’s figured it out! Is this the REAL JBJ?!

  12. Hey sorry folks, I didn’t know that my post would become so contentious. I should have said that I meant JBJ was one of the best in the outfield on defense. I know the greats btw. My dad and I talk about them all the time. Dad is 73 and I am 40. No spring chickens here.

  13. Sorry but given this team’s history JBJ is not an all-time Red Sox outfield great. Calling Dwight Evans that is a stretch and he still might sneak into the Hall.

  14. Jackie Bradley JESUS.

My favorite thing to shout when he unexpectedly hit a home run.
