FIRST TAKE | Stefanski doesn’t want Sanders to succeed – Cam rips Browns HC decision 2-pt conversion
I don’t know. Most I got to work on that word. All right. Shador Sanders, I know I’m getting shamed now. Shader Sanders had a breakout performance yesterday against the Titans, throwing for over 350 yards, three touchdowns while running in another. His play put the Browns in position to tie the game late in the fourth quarter with the two-point conversion. But in a shocking move, head coach Kevin Stfansky took Shador out of the game for the attempt. Cleveland failed to convert, then lost the game 31-29. Cam Newton, what did you make of Kevin Stfansy’s decision to keep Shador on the sideline for that two-point conversion? Extremely embarrassing. And it’s a fireable offense if you ask me when you start to think and and unpack what’s been happening week after week after week. how we’ve been trying to mask, put makeup, not mention, do certain things, and then in the most got to have it moment of the game. This is probably the only team in the National Football League that takes their starting quarterback out of the game. It’s a two-point conversion. You have the ball in in in in individual’s hands that it’s not hard to find out what you’re going to do. You’re running a gadget play. It’s either going to be a run or it’s going to be an inaccurate pass because a natural thrower is on the sideline. These type of decisions really is beyond even a head scratch. It’s like what are we really doing here? Are we really trying to win? because some of the things that we’re showing on film will really have a person to say like yo what’s happening especially given the circumstance of the game that Shadur Sanders is happening or having at that specific point in time and to take him out like yo like embarrassing is is is an understatement in in in this type of thing. It’s just hard to be a Cleveland Browns fans and just imagine being in a game or at the stadium watching that transpire in real time. Go ahead, Stephen A. What did you make of Kevin’s decision? Let me say this to you. Uh, it was awful. First of all, let’s get that out the way first. And I want to tell you that in Cleveland, I don’t know if y’all know this, but they’ve got some of the best sports talk radio shows in America. Cleveland is out is an outstanding sports town. They They really are. They’re an outstanding sports town. And I hope and I and I never thought that I’d say this, but I hope they are raking Kevin Stfansky through the coast. This is a man that has three games. They have three wins on the season. They’re going nowhere. The only interest that the team garers outside of watching the greatness of Miles Garrett is watching Shador Sanders and seeing how he develops, putting him in every situation imaginable and coming to a conclusion about that to decide whether or not you have a quarterback for next year or whatever. Unless you’re going to totally rely on Deshun Watson coming back. That’s all you have. and you look at them and it’s like this man goes out there last night, yesterday, and throws for 364 yards and you’re taking him out for two-point conversions. It makes no sense whatsoever. It really has you wondering what the hell Kevin Stfansky is thinking, what is going on, and more importantly, what is it that they have against Shador Sanders? Because it makes no sense. They’re not going anywhere. leave him out there in every situation imaginable and and and start him for the rest of the season, announce it to the world and just put him out there, put him through the ringer and see what he gives you. And he wants that and for some reason the Cleveland Browns do what they did. It makes no sense whatsoever. It’s not befitting of a two-time coach of the year and it just leaves you scratching your head wondering what the hell is going on. It really does. Yeah, I thought it was stupid. Absolutely stupid by Kevin Stfansky. And listen uh in TR, you know, being transparent here, Kevin Stfansky has done this multiple times, not only with with Shador Sanders, but with other quarterbacks as well as far as a two-point conversion. But, you know, you’re going to take out a guy Shador Sanders who was abs who was absolutely dealing in the game. The game was highly entertaining. I don’t know how many people watched it, but the game was highly entertaining. Sanders was dealing in the game. goes down, drives down, score, you know, uh, you know, scores a touchdown, and then you take him out to run the Wildcat for the two-point conversion. Really, you going to take the ball out of this young man’s hand who was clearly in the groove in the game to run a wild to run the Wildcat? I think like that only what it does in that situation. It only fuels what the perception of how people perceive the relationship between Kevin Stfansky and Shadura Sanders in this situation. You’re not doing anything to help yourself if you’re Kevin Stfansky by running a nonsense type of play in that in that situation in my opinion. I I I guess I just don’t understand what’s the point of it. Like just to have us discuss it further. Like I I I I I to Stephen A’s point entry, I don’t understand the rationale at all. Unless Taesm Hill is in there going to run something for you like how the Saints used to do back in the day. Like I just don’t even understand why they would do that. Um okay, let’s move on. It’s time for our DraftKings cover three parlay. We’ve got three picks for tonight’s game. Stephen A, you’re going to go first here. You’re going with AJ Brown having five or more receptions. Why you feeling good about this tonight? Uh because I think that you know what, you targeted him last game even though you didn’t end up winning. reality is is that uh he’s a stud. He’s going up against the Chargers and you’re going to need him to win on the road at Sofi Stadium tonight. So, I’m going with him because I think he’s the guy I think that Jaylen Herz will be looking for him often. Jamie, you’re taking Justin Herbert to rush for at least 20 yards. Why? I am because I think, you know, listen, this game is in Los Angeles, but it’s going to feel like a home game with the Eagles and there’s going to be crowd noise that that there’s a there’s a Los Angeles Chargers offensive line. It’s battered and I think Justin Herbert is going to have to make plays with his leg uh in this situation. So, 20 yards rushing by Justin Herbert, I could easily see him surpass. You know, the Carter fans don’t normally show up. Eho fans like to travel. So, I will go with Saquon Barkley to rush for 70 or more yards. He’s due. He’s due to have a breakout game like this. Middle of the pack is the Chargers rush defense. He can get his tonight. As you said, I think it’ll feel more like a Philadelphia game in LA as opposed to a Chargers home game. So, I’m going with Saquon to have a good game tonight. They need it. Go ahead. Go ahead. What that that what that would mean is that the the APB that’s been put out from the LAPD found him because we are looking for him. We can’t find him. You understand? We can’t find him at all. And we know that Saquon Barkley is too great is too great uh to for the numbers to to to have the numbers that he has had this year. This man is phenomenal. And to be this phenomenal and to have this kind of precipitous drop off, I don’t give a damn what’s going on with the Philadelphia Eagles. We did not expect Saquon Barkley to be this ineffective, this inefficient, this impotent offensively. They got to figure out something. Make no mistake about it. So that you know, again, the APB was out. Uh LAPD has indicated they may have found him. We’ll find out tonight at Sofi Stadium, which which by the way, which at where I will be for Monday Night Countdown. So, I’m looking forward to it. That’s right. He’s in LA already. Uh Saquon Barkley at 56 rushing yards against the Bears. So, I think he’s just going to go on that trajectory. And then tomorrow Stephven, he’s going to be like, we found him here in LA. He just wanted warmer weather. So, to recap, we’re going with Justin Herbert to have at least 20 rushing yards, AJ Brown to have at least five catches, and then Saquon to have at least 70 rushing yards. Stefanski behavior was diabolical. But the owners supports it because all team owners want s Sanders to fail.. but the world is seeing his greatness
Racism will never make sense.
If you guys can't realize that this is posturing for the draft and position yourself to get a better draft position by losing then I don't understand why you even watch sports the Cleveland browns are mathematically eliminated already what's the use of trying to win games when you're out of contention you put yourself in a better position to acquire better talent by play losing football now
It was a bad play call but everyone knows Cam is a moron. Its an embarrassment to have him on tv
It's been SABOTAGE since they drafted him, plain and simple. It's called breaking a buck. Punishing him for his bloodline. The NFL humbled him by going in the 5th round then Stefanski continued it. He doesn't want him to succeed period
TAYSOM HILL WAS ASS AND GOT A MILLION CHANCES
We not stupid people see. This got something to do with him being drafted as deion Sanders son and being a child of God. They most definitely gonna go against you because sheduer Sanders is the chosen one. Them people are wolves dressed in sheep clothing. These people are in positions of power and they abuse their authority. I honestly believe it's just not the coach it's other people around the coach and above him. That's in NFL. It's most definitely a spiritual warfare battle between God and the devil.
Safe to say someone in the front office doesn't want him to succeed as well.. maybe even ownership? Someone was definitely in the coaches headset. The play was weird enough to make me think gambling had a play in this decision?
Smh, they’re actively tanking and have a coach who’s 100% behind the owners and not his players.
They want to get another qb next year, they won’t get what they want and still trade Shedeur.
Feel bad for the Browns fans, hav someone that actually for all this time looks like the answer and your owners will create nothing but questions again.
Shauder needs to run out of dodge!!!! Asap!
2025 BROWNS LOSING ON PURPOSE
Either they are tanking or he wants out of Cleveland.
Stefanski is a BUM!!!!!
Both 2-point conversions were the wrong call
Why people not talking about the 2 pt conversion before the trick play..It would of been a 7 point lead by Tenn..Why not kick the extra point but noooo the Browns wanted to be the Browns😅
Why would they go for 2 when they were down 8 points was something wrong with the kicker?
Shedeur fumbled a 2 point conversion attempt 3 minutes before the 2nd attempt. Maybe thats why they took him out.
Cam singing a new tune now. I remember pre-season he didn't have the nicest things to say about Shedeur whenever Shedeur held him accountable about his words, he doubled down and my my my have the tables turned. Him and Emmanuel Acho.
Shedeur is justin Fields 2.0 lol
Ask the committee that made that him Coach of the Year.
Maybe they are tanking for the draft idk cause nothing else makes sense for me.
4 more weeks to get everything out of this clickbait, conspiracy subject. Gotta applaud anyone trying.
Honestly, this was the best thing g to happen to Shadeur. Having such a good game and the coach pull you out in clutch time. The blame is 100% on Stefanski, he decided to take Shadeur out and it cost them. Now we will have conversations of "why would you take him out?" And questioning his ability as a coach even more now.
What ppl doesn't realize is it's not just the coaching it's the owner that makes the calls
Black fatigue, begging to be a victim. He wouldnt have let him throw over 40 times if he didnt want him to succeed.
I think the coach is trying to lose the game in order for a higher draft but ultimately, I really really think this has to do with gambling
