Las Vegas Athletics Stadium Construction Update 12 08 2025
Hello, this is Dunto. So today, as you can see, I’m at the old Tropicana site, the future home of the Las Vegas Athletics Ballpark. So I am on Las Vegas Boulevard. close to the corner of Reno. So, I got my camera up over the wall today. We can see the corner here. We still got the old Tropicana billboard there. So, I just wanted to get the camera up over the wall to check out, you know, what’s going on from this side. I do go, you know, to the Excalibur sometimes and go to the walkway and from there, you know, you can’t see all this stuff. It’s more just zooming in to try to see what they’re doing. But today is Monday, December 8th, 2025. All right. So, we can see they have a lot of debris on this end right here. This would be the southwest corner. So, I’m not sure if this is like after they take the forms off. Maybe it’s concrete, you know, they got to clean up, you know. But you do have a lot of concrete here that is piled up. Sure. Waiting to get taken off property. They do not have the rock crusher machine like they used to have. At least I haven’t seen it on site. So, this stuff probably got to be taken a certain place to get, you know, processed, ground up. All right. I know when I was walking up, I did see a concrete pump arm. Yep, I do see it there. All right, this camera I don’t have the good zoom. This is as far as I could zoom, but they are pumping something over there today. It’s kind of hard to tell if they’re um pumping into the columns or if they’re actually pouring the concourse flooring. I would say it’s the columns. But I will try to get over to the oo and get some view from over there. All right. So, there’s a lot of shoring up on this side. You do have this uh crawler crane here. And then we got all this shoring. You can see the end of the cable there. It doesn’t look like or I don’t know if it’s hooked up to anything or not. It’s like right above the concrete arm. I could see like the weighted part of the um cable there. Oh, so that’s actually the one I was looking at. I thought it was on the crawler crane, but now we see the ends of the boom here, and it’s from the tower crane. So, this one is going this way. All right. I don’t see them moving anything around yet. All right, we get a good look of this roof support column that they have finished over here. You can see the big concrete structure right in the middle of the screen and it that has the steel coming out of the top where they will it’s one of six support columns that will hold up the whole roof structure. All right, I’m going to move down a little more. We’ll see if we could get a look of the area they’re working on over to the left of that column. So, if you watched my early videos of the Tropicana demolition, remember on this side here, there used to be a big parking deck. The parking deck was one of the first things they start tearing down when they did start the demo. So, and then they used to have like the villa section. They were the lower like motel looking uh hotel area. They had them on both sides of the the tower over here in the front. You know, they pretty much made like the shape of the, you know, to go around the pool area. All right. So, here’s a good clean view of all the cranes right there. Let me zoom in a little. All right. I’m trying to make out cuz there was a tower crane. I mean the crawler crane, you know, was facing the other way and now we can see that it turned. Yeah. So, my zoom camera, that one doesn’t have like I can’t control it like this one. I’m controlling on my cell phone right now. I have it up on the pole and I can control with the cell phone where that other one I can’t. So I, you know, if I put it up on a pole, I won’t be able to see what I’m looking at and I can’t zoom in and out and move it around. Not sure where that big dump truck’s going. If it’s maybe going around the other side and putting some fill, you know, fill material. Beautiful day today. I think it was my last week video. I was at the um Hard Rock site and I was complaining how cold it was, the wind and everything. And today supposed to be like mid60s, no breeze. And we’re supposed to be in the 70s, I think, by this weekend. So, really nice out here. All right. So, on this side, we can see a lot more of the concrete going up. And then if I’m not mistaken, I know when I show from the OYO like they have they were working on like them concrete looking wall structures. They’re in the middle of the screen now. I think that’s what those ones are that I’m looking at. They were working on the forms last week. So once I get back to the oil, we should be able to get a better view of, you know, what’s going on over there. And we’ll be able to see if we can figure out what they’re working on with these big dump trucks coming out of the site there. Okay. So, this is the area again that will have like the B’s uh you know the B’s hotel supposed to have I think two towers on site. One on this end and one on the it would be the northeast corner. And then they’re going to have a lot of restaurants, bars, casino area. So, they do have the signs on the very corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana where they’re advertising they’re looking for like tenants. I guess they’re trying to find, you know, people partner up with them to put the bars and restaurants in. So, still haven’t heard a groundbreaking date for any of this stuff. So, but you can see there’s a lot of land here. they are according to the renderings going to put a lot of stuff on this um you know on this part of the site. So, but still waiting to see when they’re going to start it. Okay, I just moved down. I’m on Reno. I’m close to the across from like the church. So, we can see right here the get a good view here of the this would be the south end of the stadium. All right, let’s zoom in a little bit here. All right, so the first thing I noticed from this side, we could see they’re putting more shoring in on this new concourse level. You can see how the columns on that second level, how they extended those and then the shorings there to, you know, that’ll be the next Explore All right, let’s see if that pump arm is this way. I don’t know where the pump arm was that we saw earlier. All right. I don’t see it. It’s hard to see on the viewfinder. The sun is right behind me. All right. I’m having trouble finding it on my viewfinder here. All right, we do see people walking around on that concourse level. Once I get over to the Oh, yo, we’ll be be able to zoom in better and see what they’re working on. So, if we have any rodeo fans in town, we do have the National Finals Rodeo. They’re in town. They I think the opening ceremonies were like last I don’t if it was Thursday or Friday and they do the main rodeo competition at the at UNLV campus at the Thomas and Mac. They’ve been coming here for years and years. I think they’ve been coming here longer than I’ve lived there. I’ve been here 36 years. So, it’s big in December. They’re here for about a week and a half to two weeks, I think. So, okay, there. I finally noticed the arm now. You can see it’s sticking up there be like kind of behind this red tower crane. You can see the truck over there. All right. All right. So, if I had to guess, I’d say they’re on the side here. So, I would say they’re pouring concrete into somebody’s columns. But yeah, so the rodeo’s in town. That’s big. December is usually a really slow season until, you know, right after Christmas. But with the rodeo, that brings in a lot of business. All right. Now, I’m going to go make one my way over to the Oyo. So, I’m going to head back to the car, drive over there, and see what we could see from their parking deck. Okay, we’re now at the OO and we can see over here I was showing those uh big dump trucks and we could see what they’re doing here. They’re actually taking the rest of the material material out of uh center field over here and then it’s going to be pretty much cleaned up. You can see right there, that’s the last of the pile. Got the loader putting it in the truck right now. And then if we look right on this side here, this would be the norththeast bend of the stadium. We can see a lot more forms going in. Really big one here. And then you got the crews all working on these ones. And then we look this way and they got a lot more rebar that’s going up. You know, that would be right at the outfield. Okay. And there’s the I was showing this in the earlier part when I was saying the like concrete looking walls. We could see right there. There’s two of them there on each side of the frame. They have taken the forms off. All right. So, here comes one of the dump trucks here. You can see it could squeeze in between these columns here. Not sure where they’re dumping them cuz we saw the one he was going all the way around the other side, but we do got piles of material all on this end here. All right. So, we do got some more forms going up here. I don’t know if this is going to be another one of those um roof support. Kind of looks like it might be. There is someone in there. It looks like he’s treating the inside of the You can see him with that long pole. I can’t make out if he has something on the end. where they do put some kind of treatment to release the molds once, you know, they got to take them off. All right, we look at the we can see the concrete pump right there that and there is a crew. So, it looks like they’re filling up. They were actually putting up these forms last week when I was here on this structure. And now we can see that they’re pumping the mud in there right now. So you can see how tall those are. Then if we go over to the right, tower crane is holding something there. You can see it right there. I’m not sure what they’re putting up there. But you get a good view. You can see, you know, pretty much top of them second level columns. That’s going to be the height of the next floor that’s going in. pretty much right where they’re all working. That whole crew that’s pouring the concrete there. And then thanks for the comments. I did get some comments saying that they were pouring this edge. You got right here along you can see the orange safety fencing where that person is standing. So, when I was here last week, that edge at the top, they didn’t have the floor poured yet, where now they did. I think they did it on Thursday last week. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re going to be ready to pour this week for this nest next section there. You can see all the crew working over there. And I would say that’s going to come really soon. Getting that concrete poured on that part of the concourse. All right. It actually looks like that part might be poured. Then we got all this. So I guess more of this section. You can see a lot of rebar in there on the floors. All right. So, I was told that this side I was thinking they would start putting the shoring in on this side, but I was told that they’re not ready for it yet. They are uh I don’t know the reason why they can’t start this side yet. But what I was told is they’re going to continue around the west side, you know, which will be over by that back crawler crane. And it does look like they’re lowering some kind of the decking. You could see right there there’s a person standing up there and it’s looking like it’s a big flat panel. All right. Then this crawler crane that’s closer to me, they just spun it around a little bit, but I don’t see them getting anything on the to hook up yet. But they did turn it. So, I’ll keep an eye on that one and see if we see anything. So, if you look there, you can see the cable swinging around right there. All right, I’m going to move down a little bit more. We’ll see see what’s going on. We’ll be able to look around this one form that’s going up and check it out. All right, I just moved down a little bit. Let’s see what they’re carrying on this. Looks like it’d be some kind of shoring. All right. So, I want to show I usually always try to show the right there, the green marker between those two orange cones. That is home plate. And then I can’t see them now, but I was showing another green marker that was like on this side here. And I said maybe it was like the first baseline or something. And obviously that is way too far for it to be that. And then some people said maybe the foul pole, but that still didn’t seem like it lined up right. So from here, I don’t see that. But so I’m not sure what that would have been though with that green marker would have been right there. All right. And we get another view of the forms going up right there. All right. See them doing some of the iron work there with the rebar. That’s a big area that they’re setting up for this one. Okay, I’m checking out the crew. Not actually the billboard back there for the love store, but she’s watching them, it looks like. also. And then we always have this guy watch it. I can find him there. There he is. Sphinx is always watching over the project. So, I probably said it in the past, but I actually opened I opened Excalibur in 1990 and I opened the Luxor in 93. So, I was, you know, I was around. I do have some pictures of when they were building the Luxor. I didn’t take many, but like I got some of the Sphinx when they were still putting it together. Pretty cool. I wish I would have taken more cuz when I worked at the Excalibur, our employee parking lot was pretty much right behind where the Luxor is at. And you know, we got to see it getting built every day, you know, but that was back before uh digital cameras. So, you know, now it’s easier just to keep taking a bunch of pictures and videos where before you had to, you know, you had to have the film camera and take them to get developed. So, I didn’t do it too often. and Mandalay Bay also that was built after that or actually when I this is off subject but since it’s about construction so when I first moved here they just were finishing up the Mirage which has now been you know obviously shut down turning into the Hard Rock and then Excalibur was almost done that opened you know the following summer and then the Luxor was a 93 and I think that the MGM Grand might have been around the same time. I think that might have opened in 93 or even 92. I’m not positive. And then the Park MGM and the New York New York were next. Park MGM and then New York New York and then all of the Arya area. They they called that city center, you know, since there’s all the different buildings and hotels and stuff in there. I saw a lot going up and then even the Bellagio Mirage. Well, Mirage was done, but then Treasure Island, it would have been cool to document all of it. And I don’t think I took photos or anything of any of the other ones. So, but all these big mega resorts, you know, pretty much started they started in the late8s and ’89, you know, opened and then they were very popular. All right, that looks like a bunch of uh long rebar pieces there. Let’s see if they swing around. I’m assuming it’s going to go up on this. Yeah, looks like they’re going to lower it on this uh concourse level here. Then you could see all the rebar that they’re putting in on them levels over there. still got The rebar cages getting delivered there. So, I’ve been getting a lot of people asking about the new um athletics ballpark experience center. So, I haven’t been there yet. I drove by opening day. That was last Tuesday. and it was only open like to the media and invited guests. And then I did receive an email for being signed up to do the, you know, for interest in season tickets and that said that they’re going to start calling people in early 2026. So, I haven’t been there yet. It says that it’s by appointment only. So, I will try to stop by soon to see if they’ll give me permission just to video inside there, you know, even though I’m not going to be able to purchase any kind of season tickets yet, but I will try to get over there, but it is, you know, not open to the public just to walk in and look around. It’s supposed to be invited guests only. So, but they should have a receptionist in there when the Raiders had their preview center. you had to be invited to like go pick out your season tickets, but the front part was open to the public where you could look at all the memorabilia and stuff like that. So, I’m assuming they’re going to do the same thing like that. So, I’m going to try to get in there sooner than later. Then I do get a lot of, not a lot, but I do still get some people wanting me to go film the Bright Line West Train Station. And seriously, when I drive by, there’s not much for me to take a video of. It’s just going to be of the dirt again. They do have their uh parking structure going up, but it’s nothing really to look at. and it’s far, you know, from where I got to park and stuff. We’re not going to see much. So, I would recommend there is someone that covers all the train stuff and he was just out here like couple weeks ago, Lucid Stew. So, I’ll put a link to his uh his last video where he was out here and he actually had drone footage. So, if you want to get some uh good perspective cuz then they’re putting in uh storm drains in the ground. So, he actually has his drone license and he had permission to fly and you could check out some of the train station, you know, progress. All right, I’m going to move down to the very corner. Let’s see if we see anything else here. And then uh it’s looking good. All right, so these are the forms we talked about before, but we can see that they were made. You know, they still have the A’s logo on there. So, this should be, you can see how it’s at this angle. This should be another one of them roof supports. Yeah, we got that one there. And then I would say if we look this way or you got the crew working down there and you got this one column here and then we can see all that rebar coming up at that angle. So, that should be another one of the roof supports. If we look in this one that they’re working on right now, you can see the same way how the the rebar comes up out of the ground at that angle. And then we have another one that they got over here and they got a lot of the cooling lines that’s coming out of it now. And you can see someone climbing up there right now on the stairwell. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. All right. I’m actually able to see that one green marker I was looking for. And there is somebody there that’s he’s setting something up on it right now. So, trying to find him in my viewfinder here, but there he is there. Okay, this is as far as I could zoom in. I can’t tell if it’s some kind of like surveying tool like for measuring or what he’s doing, but there he just took it off whatever it was. All right. But as we were saying, you could see in the background by them portaotties and stuff, that’s the home plate. And then where this person at is at. Not sure what that marker is for. It could just be something for like a reference to a lot of the other, you know, whatever they’re working on. Okay. And then in the middle here, they just dumped a load of this material. And it looks like the grater. We got to level out some of this land now to see right there. And then we get a good view again. The pile’s getting a lot smaller. When I was there last week, this excavator was actually at the top of the pile and we’re now they’re down and it’s a lot smaller. see some more rebar. I’m thinking that’s another load. I don’t think it’s the same one what before like what I was that I was showing earlier, but So you can see the grainer over there leveling out some of that. Yeah, that’s kind of be like close to home plate that area. All right, this crawler crane here just spun around, but they’re not hooking anything up. So, guess that’s all I got for today. Again, if you’re not subscribed to my channel and you would like to follow along, please subscribe at raiders1967. get updates on this new athletic stadium build as well as the Hard Rock build that’s going on down at the old Tropicana site. I mean the old not Tropicana, this is Tropicana site at the old Mirage Hotel site. Anything you liked about the video, you could give me a thumbs up. That’d be greatly appreciated. And I would like to thank everyone for watching and I will talk with you guys next time.
This is my Las Vegas Athletics Stadium construction update taken on Monday, December 08, 2025. The video starts on the west side of the site along Las Vegas Blvd. I put my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 up over the construction wall to check out the this side of the site. More shoring is going up on this south west side. I then make my way to Reno Ave to get a view from this side. We can see that crews have started installing shoring on the concourse level to prepare installing the next level. I then make my way over to the OYO Hotel to get a view of the site from their parking garage. We can see that they appear to be removing the rest of the fill material from the infield. A lot more forms and concrete is going in all around the site.
Please subscribe to my channel Raiders 1967 to get updates on the Las Vegas A’s new Stadium construction.

Amazing video Duntov!!!
happy christmas to you have a nice one
The stadium might never get finished due to rising construction costs and the A’s changing their mind not to move to Las Vegas.
Great Video, really appreciate the updates and have you gotten a chance to go to the A’s Preview Center yet? Hopefully you can see panda give an update, Also what’s your opinion on the PSL cost? Do you think it will be more than Allegiant Stadium? Or More Reasonable?
By my count I got 5 roof anchors, I can't see where the 6th one is. It's pretty cool you saw Vegas grow up into the megaresort age! Merry Christmas sir and thank you for the video!
I opened the Luxor as well. We put show in the arena. I left after Blueman left in 2005 to put the Phantom of the Opera in at the Venetian. Worked at the Old MGM until from 1975 until 1993 and before that backstage at yes, the Trop from 1968 to 1974.
Is it me or does it look like there’s not enough space for the actual ball field inside all of that? Maybe it’s the perspective I’d love to see an overhead view. Anyone know how to get one
I’m still watching your posts, but I have to admit….tearing down the Trop was more interesting! Go Raiders!
I'm trying to get a visit to see the architectural model. Thanks for the video! You are correct with Lucid. He covers the entire length of Brightline. There's almost nothing to see there.
Thank you for sharing this with me. It’s looking good! I do remember when we came to Las Vegas on September 1994 before Labor Day. We flew out from Phoenix to Las Vegas to visit my great aunt Helen and my cousin Robert. He took us a nice tour to see Luxor and his work site, as well as we went to go-karts. We were there during the same day trips and we came back to Phoenix. It’s been over three decades now.
The new Bally's will start construction in early 2026 and I wonder what the groundbreaking will be like. Right now, just the stadium is getting built.
THAT STADIUM WILL NEVER BE COMPLETED
Hey my name is ian zehner I have been following this channel for a while I am a baseball fan I am a cancer survivor I am in remission. If I remember hearing before the ground breaking on the A's stadium that the concourse they have now is going to be completed towards the end of this year that means after Christmas the concourse is going to be completed then next year they start with the seating area according to the management of the stadium. Thank you so much for showing all of these videos it is amazing just seeing this. Also merry Christmas and happy new year also i am in Reno Nevada
I still call Park MGM "Monte Carlo" When the building was beautiful and not green, my old man calls it the eye sore of the skyline now. My first hand pay when I turned 21 was there. I was also in Vegas the week MGM grand opened on Dec 18th 1993, I have pictures of the opening when I was a little kid.
Probably just me, but, I sure find these videos more interesting than a baseball game! Probably more exciting too.
Progress looking forward to seeing the finish
25:50 its a bundle of rebar.
The trades have been putting a lot of work in on the project. My husband is working long hours❤
Thank you!
Those green markers may not be the base locations (including the "home plate" one). Seeing the person using a surveying tool on one, they are likely stationary "known points" that they can use to monitor the building to ensure it's going up as designed.
Thanks Duntov for brief history lesson of South Strip resort builds. I’m no construction expert by any means but maybe the material(dirt) being removed so quickly from the field is due to the entrance/exit points will soon be enclosed soon. Crews are quick with building columns, levels etc.
