  1. Giants drafting a stud safety and then letting him walk at the end of his rookie contract. A tale as old as time.

  2. Kinda tough to have these conversations when we don’t know where we’re picking. At the end of the day the goal is to draft good players and Downs is one of the best in this class. Safety may not be a premium position or even a major need on this roster but you won’t hear me complain if Caleb Downs is a Giant

  3. Giants have shitty secondary. One of worst in nfl. No leaders either.

Downs Is compared to polamalu, Eric berry, earl Thomas. Leader of Ohio state defense (one of best in college football). Isn’t a one dimensional safety either. Can cover, stop run, and man up on a guy. Also touted by coaches as one of the smartest guys on the defense when it comes to reading formations. They call him “the eraser”

Duh. Giants haven’t had shot caller like that in years

If you haven’t heard much of him watch this

  4. We’re not 1 player away from being a good team so I think it would make most sense to trade down.

But if we use the pick it should absolutely be on downs. He has the potential to be a generational player at a position of need.

  5. I just want them trading back if they have the top pick. Let some team (looking at you NY Jets) who desperately need a qb to give us a haul.

  6. If we retain first pick we should trade down and grab a stud CB, C, OL, SS, or FS imo. A complimentary WR also wouldn’t be bad but I’d prefer the first 3.

It’s clear Vikings desperately need a QB so there’s that lol

  7. Can’t wait for some clown to tell us that the Giants should tank their remaining games. Like that has worked for the last how many years.

  8. If he’s bad people will blame Joe for a can’t miss prospect busting. Go with the easier choice in Tate or Tyson. Easier position to succeed at.

  9. A great player is a great player, and Caleb Downs is the best player in college football. I’d be happy – especially because it would probably involve trading Tae Banks so Downs can keep No. 2. Best outcome for both sides, really.

  10. Is he better than the best available run-stuffing DL or LB at the pick? I feel like that’s the question if Downs is available.

  11. I would be happy with Downs or Reese. If we somehow end up with the number one pick, hopefully they trade down. Our secondary and linebacker corp are pretty bad.

  12. Positional value wise if you’re drafting a safety in the top 10 they better be all-pro

  13. Not at picks 1-5 lmao. There’s gotta be better positional value there than taking a safety in the top 5.
