Tigers president Scott Harris: “I can’t do my job without listening. I can’t do my job without exploring anything that may or may not have legs. Some are going to be extremely unlikely, but you can’t fully vet those opportunities unless you’re willing to listen.”

He’s a master at taking way too many words to say nothing at all.
that is a lot more than his usual “i wont answer trade talk about current players, not fair, yada yada”…
Ok. Yeah me too
I don’t hate it.

Other than last year’s trade deadline I’d say he’s done a fine job
Ok man just get some bats
Yep, can’t close doors or you limit opportunities too. Makes sense to try and check in with other teams and free agents as much as possible so you know your options.
His job was to get pitching this last season too .
I feel like this might be directed at the people who are ready to declare the off-season a bust at the first hint of a rumor of us reportedly being interested in a guy (*cough, Helsley, cough*)
He’s equivocating. The worst form of coachspeak.
Trade the future for 3 real hitters and 3 real pitchers.
I don’t hate the quote, but what I don’t like is that I don’t have a ton of faith in his ability to evaluate major league talent. He appears to be good at drafting and setting the organization up for success with the upgrades in facilities, but he does not strike me as a very good major league talent evaluator.
Today I learned Scott Harris isn’t an old man like I thought he was
DO U FCKIN JOB
So, if he craps out at the winter meetings can we start calling him Lieutenant Dan?
I’d prefer a player with legs, but I suppose if they can hit well enough we can just throw on a pinch runner from there
