NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Washington Wizards December 9, 2025 Wizards vs Warriors 2K Live

Now, Doris, you were a gifted passer, a conference assist leader. What makes a great playmaker? Well, look at Brian Anderson doing his homework on his partner here. I think obviously you have to have some vision. You’ve got to have a handle to be able to get to the spots you want to on the floor to deliver the pass at the appropriate angle. But maybe most importantly, you have to have a desire to meet your teammates. All right, checking out Golden State’s opening lineup. Curry and Pods, they come to back court. Jimmy Butler out there with Draymond Green and it’s Warford in at the five roaming the paint and it goes out of bounds. Last touch by George. All right, let’s check in with Alli Le Force. A minute ago, Brian Keith and I were able to chat. We talked about the task of facing Jimmy Butler, the Fiery Wing. Coach said you can talk about the scouting report all you want with Jimmy, but he brings the extra dimension. Butler has the attitude that is unmatched in the league. Passion of Jimmy Butler in full focus tonight, Brian. Thank you for that, Ally. Yeah, that’s fantastic execution. Jimmy Butler has excellent touch close to the rim. Middleton outside. McCullum finds Middleton. Here’s the pick. fires the three. Can’t get it to go. Missed his first one. Yeah, and the defense has really got to tighten up on him. I mean, he’s just too dangerous from the three-point line. Outside Green pass to Kajimki. Screen by Horford and a deep three from Curry. Rebound by Middleton. McCullum with it. Defended by Pachimski. Oh, it’s blocked by Green. A valuable dogged defender. Draymond Green doing his thing. Whistle blows. Yep, that’s going to be a travel. And the first quarter of action, two minutes in now. Middleton jacks up a three and the three-pointer goes. Wow. Middleton testing his range and he passes in. Grant, despite the Warriors success over the last decade, it hasn’t always been this way for this time. Yeah, they didn’t have many winning seasons before they got Steph, Clay, and Dre. You know, BA from 1978 to 2012. They made the playoffs just six times. Four on the clock. Curry shot his own. And here’s George. He’ll bring it up for the Wizards. Pass to Carrington to the inside. And that’s a foul called on Stephen Curry. That’s his first foul of the game. Warriors on D. They trail by one. And here’s Middleton. That one doesn’t drop. Here’s Butler. And the layup is good off the glass. Butler’s got the second bucket on the night. Boy, out in transition, Butler gets his eyes on the rim and there’s no denying him. Pass to McCullum 10 ft away and he connects with the jumper. They’re defending the pick and w you have to stop the ball especially when it’s CJ McCullum controlling. Curry finds Warford. Now here’s Butler. Here’s Kinski. Good. And Butler gets the assist. Defensively, you have to stay connected to him on the perimeter. Washington has gone one of two from three-point land so far. And we’ve got a timeout from Brian Keith. And we might see some changes. Coach potentially looking to adjust. Heat up here. Heat up here. [Music] Heat up here. Heat up here. Butler against Middleton. McCullum outside down low. Rousard. Boom. He jams it straight down. Sometimes a player is born with a passer’s mindset. He deals it with conviction. The Warriors have gone three of six from the floor outside now. Here’s Curry. The D’s right on him. Pass to Butler with the tear drop and it’s good. Two points. Butler’s got his third basket on the night right there. Well, we know Jimmy wants to get to the cup, but sometimes the defense forces you to modify things. How pretty was this floater? Now here’s Milton. And they blow the whistle just as he gets it off. That’s two points with a chance at another one at the strike. Boy, his hard work on the offensive glass earning an additional opportunity. All right, we’ve now got our 2K insider Shams Terania on the line. He’s got a special report. Shams, it’s all yours. Hey guys, the Wizards number two overall pick Alex Sar wanted to be in Washington DC and his defense gets him on the court right away. Not to mention the Wizards are in a rebuild and if his offense comes along he could be a foundational piece for this franchise. Everyone’s excited to see the development of Alex a big piece. Okay, Shams. Thank you. You talk about NBA length, Alex Sar has its so many young bigs we’re seeing these days. He combines that length with some guard skills as well. And that’s a very intriguing package. Now here’s Pajki. Here’s Curry and he’s going to the line for two. The official saw contact while he was going up. Curry, despite his frame, is able to do a ton of damage inside the paint. He can draw fouls with great regularity. And that one falls for Curry. And so he makes both from the line. Of course, you look at this Washington team. They hit the reset button. BA, I am sure that’s not an easy decision to make, but I believe it was the right move. Washington was kind of stuck at that playin level. Now they have a clear focus and direction and interest. May take some time, but I like the plan. That’s his shot and one I’m sure he wants back. Pass to Green. Back to Curry. Drops in the layup for two. Curry understands how to take a hit, prepares for it, and makes the necessary adjustments. McCullum outside. They set a pick now. George, here’s Sar. He’s got five and he tries it off the glass, but it’s no good. Boy, against so little defensive pressure. You have to convert that with it. Pass to Butler. Left block shot on the way. Got a piece of it. Middleton outside to the paint. It’s t and that makes him three for four. He’s looking good. The size advantage gives him a clear path to the shot. Now here’s Curry. Defense is right there. Off the mark there with a three. for Washington. They’ve gone five of 12 in this first quarter. To the middle is George and he takes it in for the layup off a very nice feed. And put your head down and go to work. That’s what they need to do. Oh boy, the tide is running one way and then shifts back in the other direction. I’ve lost count of how many lead changes we’ve had here tonight. And we’ve got a timeout from Ryan Keith. We might see him looking to make some tweaks to the strategy here. Let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with Alli Leforce. Jimmy Butler is such an all-around player. He said, “I don’t need to be a 40point scorer. My role is to impact winning. I just control what I can control in the end, play the right way, stay aggressive, and do whatever it takes to get my team the win.” And Brian, he is good at his job. Well, playoff Jimmy is a real thing, whether he’ll admit it or not. Heat. Heat. Heat [Music] up here. And Washington making a change here. Champy’s checked in. on defense. The Warriors Sar passes to McCullum. Nice. Gets his second bucket. He’s two for four now. What a tricky shot. CJ, he’s showing off now. Pass to Curry. Warford outside. Here we go. Oh, a huge slam. An exclamation point on that break. Oh, that’s impactful defense right there. Finding a steel and instantly turning it into offense. Back to Curry. For the screen on McCullum inside it home. Oh, what a pleasure to watch Al Horford go to work. Does all the right things and that time gets an easy dunk. Middleton outside deep sorry Warriors with the rebound. And here’s Green. No made baskets yet. Butler on the wing. Back to Green. Curry against McCullum. Five to shoot. Golden State needs to get off a shot. Green for three and it’s good. Assisting on the play was Curry and the Warriors lead by two. Well, just so good at recognizing, hey, perhaps it’s my opportunity from distance now. Pass to Carrington. There’s the three. Knocks down the triple. Carrington’s got five. Both teams are starting to find a rhythm here. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities now. Horford Curry with it from outside the ark and the Warriors with another three. It’s so quick and Curry so elusive. This is what makes him such a tough cover, folks. McCullum outside. three-pointer and he knocks it down. He’s three of five down to the floor. Well, it’s certainly been a roller coaster ride. You do me one, I’ll do you one better. He feels like we have a lead change every few possessions. And Steve Kerr calls timeout. He wants a few moments to regroup with his players. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. And the Warriors will go with a different look here. Jonathan Kaminga, he’s checked in for Green. Payton comes in for Horford. Moody’s checked in for Pachimsky. And it’s Buddy Heel in for Stephen Curry. Here’s heel pass to Butler outside booty and here is Kaminga the free ball rebound. Here’s McCullum. Kisford outside back to McCullum over Heel. Shot is off. Boy, you’re most likely to drive any score, especially with the giving push. Here’s McCullum. Seven points in the game. Miss there off the inbound and it didn’t fall, but still a great look. You know, it can be frustrating when you make the right play and fail to reap the rewards. You just have to stay with it here. Now here’s Payton outside Kaminga. Back to Moody. Six to shoot. There’s a screen. Here’s Payton. It’s rebounded by Washington. outside. Kali McCullum outside over healed. Oh, and now a right spin arm. It’s good. McCullum’s got nine. And often times you just assume McCullum’s Jay is going in. He’s this good of a shooter. Incredible. Here’s Butler. again. No good by Golden B. No one near him on that one. And I’m not sure why he felt like he needed to fade away to McCullum. There’s 53 seconds left in the first quarter. Plenty of contact on that shot. Officials call the foul and they’ll take two free throws. Now that one on healed and McCullum isn’t afraid of contact, especially when he’s being aggressive and looking to score. Heat. Heat. The first one falls. Well, it was a tough season for the Washington Wizards grab a franchise low 15 wins. You know, BA, it started with trading away their star Bradley Beal before the season, but I like their new direction, prioritizing their future and developing talent. Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. Stephen Curry comes in for Moody. both good from the line that time. And when you look back at the 2023 draft, the Warriors got great value out of their picks. Yeah, I mean, they got Pimsky with the 19th pick. A versatile player who impacts the game at both ends. He also got Trace Jackson Davis late in the second round and he is a fundamentally sound big man with great upside. Jackson Davis is screen heal to halt the run. Fisper grabs a miss. Wizards leading by five now. McCullum. George outside with it. Back to Kissford out left to the wing. The Wizards need to get off a shot here for three. George CJ McCullum has been leading the charge for the Wizards. 11 points in the quarter. He’s on fire. And more NBA action on 2K Sports coming your way right after this. Hope you’ve enjoyed the broadcast so far. Halfway through the first half in this one. A chance to catch up on some numbers here. The scoring breakdown for the Wizards. Ever since this game started, they’ve been attacking on the inside, looking for ways to bust up the defense and get high percentage looks. The other thing that’s gone exceptionally well for them tonight is the shooting they’ve displayed from beyond the three-point arc. So on the floor for Golden State, Curry and Heel to the sharp shooting back court. Jonathan Kaminga is out there with Gary Payton second and it’s post in at the five outside. Curry releases. He hits the back iron and sinks it. Curry’s got his third basket of the night. I’ll tell you, it is a thing of beauty watching Steph Curry shoot jumpers. An unbelievable feel and touch. Now here’s Bagley still without a bucket. Well done on the glass. Gets himself in position where he can use his size. Pass to Curry. There’s a screen by Kaminga. [Music] Curry shot is off. Wizards leading by three. Quarter number two and about a minute in to the inside. Cooper gets rebounded by Golden State. Crafty move and it’s heel that time on the assist by Curry. Curry’s got his third assist of the night. You watch Heel. You marvel at his jumper. It’s as pure as anyone in this league. Now here’s Kissper and it goes as the official calls the foul. Count it and he’ll shoot one more at the line. First trip to the free throw line for him tonight. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] Grant, when you talk about consistency and officiating game to game, you think there’s room for improvement? You know, I do think so. I mean, they’re allowing more contact, but overall more clarity on what constitutes legal guarding position with players and officials. Now, here’s Kaminga. Still no points. And Grant, when you play the Wizards, you better be ready to run PA. They like to speed you up and force you to play at their pace. And on the flip side, that gives you open opportunities as well. A free throw good from Kuminga. All free throws good for Kaminga. Now approaching two minutes of action here in the second. Here’s Cooper diving in. Here’s George down low. Here’s Bagley. Rebound goes to the Warriors. Now here’s Curry. He’s got nine. There’s a screen. Pass the heel. Puts up a three. He can’t get that one to fall. The Wizards with a lead. Here’s Cooper. He’s scoreless. Outside back now. Here’s Kissford. Guarded by Payton. Now here’s Kisford. A lot of room. Good D by Payton. The Warriors have gone two of four here in the second quarter. Curry passes to Heel. Again, no good by Golden State. I knew that he has the ability and confidence to shoot that shot. Look better on that next time maybe. And for most guys, I think you only want to take that shot if you hit a few in a row. That is absolutely a heat check. Outside cool. Pass to Bagley. Outside Kali Washington again can’t hit and Curry’s got the ball here for Golden State. In the second quarter, they’ve given up just three points and looks like an illegal pick was set against the rest detective. One of the trickier plays to judge, but it would be hard to argue against the ball. It is really difficult to get your feet completely set, to stay completely still. It’s almost surprising to me that it isn’t called more often. And timeout is called by Brian Keefe. He’s going to gather the troops and talk it over. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. So for Washington comes in from Agley and it’s Champenny in for George. Al Horford’s checked in for the Warriors. Pajimsky comes in for heel. The Wizards have gone one for six in the second quarter for Green outside. Kali pass to Vevich. Here’s Champenny. Here’s Vevage. Warford covering. Here’s Cooper again. Washington. No good. Curry looking it over. And the Warriors miss again. And this is exactly who you want taking that shot. He just missed it. Here’s Cooper for covering to win the drought. A nice shot by Cooper and the Wizards lead by four. Some sick ball skills displayed right there. He’s not the guy you expect to pull that off. Outside Kaminga back to Curry. It’s rebounded by Washington outside. Here’s Cooper. Great D that time from Peninski. Warriors trail by four. [Applause] outside Curry. Pass to Peyton. Right side. Pajki. Here’s Kuminga for three. Connects from downtown. Kuminga’s got five points. What a terrific play by just a tremendous allaround player. This guy makes it look easy. To the paint. Mr. Kevin and he dumps it down. And plays like that one can make the difference in a close game. And it definitely got the bench on their feet, too. Well, credit him for going for it, not settling, saying, “I’m going to attack.” Now, here’s Curry. He’s got nine. The deep three. Oh, Curry showing off the range. by the supreme confidence from Steph Curry to attempt that shot, let alone make it impossible to measure this guy’s range. Pass to Cooper to the middle and he goes strong with the onehanded jam. Back to the basics, unleashing the one hand flush. Boy, he makes the basics look pretty outstanding though, huh? That’s true. Now here’s Worford outside with the drive. Yeah, you never want to miss those shots at the wind contest. This is his first trip to the free throw line tonight. That free throw misses. Draymond Green. He’s checked in for the Warriors. Jimmy Butler comes in for Peyton. And the second free throw is good. And it’s Washington with the ball. McCullum. Pass to Middleton. Curry against McCullum. Back to Middleton. to McCullum. The Warriors pull it in. Curry’s got four rebounds now. Outside Green. Curry passes to Butler. Back to Curry. Takes the three. The rebound by the Wizards. Here’s S. That’s the pass in transition. Here come the Warriors. Here’s Butler. Warford right side. The three from Curry. Good. And it’s Warford who picks up the assist. Curry’s got eight points in the quarter. Boy, Curry just taking over and seemingly able to get anything he wants right now. They set the pick. Highly shot. Middleton no good. He’s as surprised as we are. Most nights that bucket is automatic. There’s Green deflected. That’s bound. Golden State will retain possession. George, he’s checked in for Champ. And Golden State also making a switch. Aiden’s checked in. On defense, the Wizards left side. Butler. Great D that time for Middleton. Washington has gone 0 for two from outside in the second quarter. Now well into his 30s. Is it fair to start wondering how many seasons Jimmy Butler has left? Grant was a fair question to the end. But at the same time, Jimmy’s hunger is just so different than everybody else’s, which I could see helping prolong his career. Here’s Middleton. The Warriors getting their last shot to go. George outside against Payton. Shot clock at six. Up three. Oh, shot is off. The Warriors lead by four. Pass to Green. Off and over McCullen. Oh, look at Draymond flexing with that finish. Well, Draymond Green can do out as much punishment as he receives. And right there goes into the chief of the defense. Middleton passes to George. McCullum guarded by Payton. Back to Mullen. Sorry. Passes to Mullen. Connect from 13 ft out. Golden State has gone three for seven from the perimeter during the second quarter. Outside Butler. He’s too much close to the rim. They’re beginning to take control now. And this could be a crucial point in the game. Well, working hard, building out a small lead, but you can’t afford any kind of let down here. George has good. The defenses can forget how good of a passer McCullum is. The Warriors lead by five. Pass to Green. [Music] outside. But Buckley from 13 is rebounded by George. And so it’s George with it. He brings it up for the Washington Wizards. There’s a minute 47 left in the second period. McCullum against Payton. McCullum outside over Peyton. shot is off. He is just not taking smart shots out there. A pattern he has fallen into tonight. Passes to Green. George against Butler. This rebounded by George. George has got four rebounds in the game. Pass to Middleton. Back to George. Placed off. So whistle there on what looks like an illegal screen. The screener was leaning a bit right there. His feet may not have been planted. Pretty obvious call by the officials. You know, he’s just leaning a little bit. You try to get away with it, but boy, the official all over it. And the Warriors making a switch here. Heels checked in. Now here’s Butler. 10 points for him. Outside heel screen by Horford and it’s heel missing. Given his range, you’d expect him to capitalize on that open line. Middleton passes to Sar to the inside. George outside pass to McCullum. healed with the defensive effort. This has not been his best quarter. And you know what? They keep calling his number and they’re simply trying to get him out of this fun seeks contact, but he sure doesn’t turn it down. Here’s Sar. Warford covering away and he gets that one. Sar’s got nine points. And so a close game as we wrap up the first half of play. Warriors ahead leading by five. All right. Now let’s check in with Ally Leforce. Ally, what do you have? Thanks so much, Al, as you anchor that front court. What were you guys looking to accomplish in the first half? I mean, we’re, you know, we’re just trying to play with pace, you know, trying to dominate on the defensive end, get rebounds, uh, make it tough. Pace is key. Back to you. Thanks very much, Ally. And folks, we’ll be right back to start the second half of this game. Heat. Heat. Second half of basketball is upon us and we may be in for an exciting finish based on how close of a game we’ve seen so far. Stephen Curry having a dominant impact in this game. He’s hit shot after shot from deep. He’s so locked in right now. Well, he’s in a great rhythm, looking comfortable and confident. The Warriors lead by five. We got Sar. Chris Middleton is out there with George. Then there’s CJ McCullum. And it’s Carrington in at the point. That’s the five on the floor for the Wizards. To the paint and Harford powers it home. Talk about the playmaking ability of Al Worford. Wonderful at positioning himself and capitalizing. Pass to SAR. Now Middleton inside. They immediately answer back with a dunk on the other end. Now BA, you know they would love for him to get more close opportunities. Well, that would cut into the deficit quickly if he does. Curry passes to Horford. And here’s Pimsky. McCullum defends. Green against George. Fades and shoots. Orford can’t hit. Wizards trail by five. Down low. George. No good. And the Warriors with possession here. Here’s Buckler. He’ll draw a foul. He’ll head to the line for two. There’s a level of physicality that Jimmy Butler plays with that is going to force you to match. Nice job drawing contact. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. Then in their last game, he really distinguished himself at the free throw line. Down the first one hits him. An efficient night from the line. This is a guy who puts in the work and it pays dividends. Middleton passes to Zarf. Now here’s McCullum. It’s good from the top of the key. McCullum’s got 13 now. Got to love how McCullum hunts down his shots. Always looking for his next bucket. Curry with it. 15 points in the game into the third. Two minutes in now. Pass to McCullum. the 15-footer. Here’s Sar. Oh, and that one, no question, powered it down. And I’ll tell you what, this is a guy who doesn’t take a break at all on the boards and doing serious work. He likes being an anchor on the glass. Well, but his defenders keep forgetting to box him out. Orford passes to Butler. Tough make by Jimmy Butler. You have to stay in front of Jimmy Butler. This guy is capable of leaving you in the dust with his ability to handle the basketball. And we’ve got a timeout from Brian Keith. He wants to review the game plan. Heat up here. A little over two and a half minutes off the clock in this final half of play. Butler against Middleton. Knocked away. Warford with a steal. Now here’s Butler. He’s guarding closely counting it to fall there. He’s eight of 15 in the game. Oh, you can see the swagger in the body language. Jimmy Butler is cooking and he’s letting the defense know it. Now here’s the Mullen slams it in. and he breaks this game a little closer using a huge one-hand slam. That’s a great way to get your team back into it. Butler and it’s Butler with the jam. You can’t give Jimmy Butler that kind of space. He will get above the rim and let you hear about it. McCullum pass to George. Now here’s McCullum. Tight defense and countdown. Two points and a chance for one more at the line. And this will be a second trip to the free throw line. [Applause] D and Mullen. No good on that one. The Warriors lead by five. Here’s Butler. with a shot down low. Butler drops it in. That’ll drive your coach crazy. Failing to box out. To me, this is a common theme that’s running through the league right now. Guys looking to leak out rather than box out. Sar passes to McCullum and he converts the layup. McCullum’s got 19 points. Clearly a perimeter player. McCullum can go inside. Outside Curry. Screen by Horford. Three-pointer. There he is. The three-point king delivers on Q. Pick works well there, but the defense left a lot to be desired. It takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player. You’ve got to want to work. Tom McCullum defended by Machimsky and they pick up two. McCullum’s got 10 points in just the second half. The Warriors lead by six. To the middle. Here’s Butler. That drops and it comes off an assist from Curry. Curry’s got his fourth assist in this one. And his fantastic performance from the last game has carried over to tonight. You know, I think that’s the one thing every player is searching for, consistency. They’re giving this guy a chance to carry the offense once again. Sar misses and it’s Green with the ball for the Warriors. They lead by eight. Biggest lead of the game. Pass to Warford. Curran finds some space and again it’s Golden State and just totally relentless only increasing the intensity level. One thing I enjoy is watching players who don’t pay attention to the score. You lock in on the moment and play the right way past his rebounded by Golden State’s got his fourth rebound in this one. Trayvon finishing himself. Well, Green likes to push the pace, that’s for sure. Great at making his way up the court and getting to the right spot. And there’s a pick for three. McCullum rebounded by Green. Green’s got four rebounds now. Out of bounds. It’ll be Washington’s ball. Payton’s checked in for the Warriors. Wizards trail by 12. And here’s McCullum. He’s got 21 over Curry. And the 18 footer right on the mark. McCullum’s got 12 points in just the second half. And that’s a savvy move from McCullum. A defender doesn’t know what to do with moves like that. counted from distance. But Jimky’s got seven points in the game. Imagine how much bigger this lead might be if he were a little more selfish. McCullum pass to George. Kissed outside from the arc. He buries it from three. He’s got six. This is just fun. These teams are trading threes back and forth. Well, that three-point shot just gives you so much room to operate on the offensive end. Now, here’s Pajki. Seven points in the game. And a closer look here at the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. Well, the coaching staff has to love what they’re seeing on offense. There’s so many assists because how this team is moving the ball. Boy, the long ball has been another point of emphasis for this group tonight. Their shooters are finding open spaces and firing without hesitation. First free throw is good. Champini. He’s checked in for Washington. That one’s no good. Wizards trail by 11. uses the glass on the layup and he needs to take a lot more shots. He’s been efficient trying to get his teammates involved, but it’s time for him to step up. Outside pass to Butler outside Payton. Here’s Wford for three. Shot is off. He couldn’t believe how open he was. He just couldn’t convert. Now here’s Kisser guarded by Peyton. Here’s Champagne. Three-pointer. No good. The Warriors lead by nine. Pass to Horford. And here’s Curry. Now here’s Kali. Here’s Sar outside. Guli hits a three-pointer. Kulali’s got five points. Not the best three-point shooter in the league, but he’s got enough skill that you can’t just let him fire it up. Pass to Warper outside. Curry. Screen by Horer. Fires the three and Curry is good for three. Curry’s got 23 points. Ideally, you want to chase Stephen Curry off the three-point line, but folks, it is not as easy as you might think. McCullum on the wing. He’s covered by Curry. McCullum shot is off. All alone from mid-range. They know he won’t miss many of those. Outside. Pass to Horford. They double team Horford. Here’s Payton. Horford finds Peyton. Shot clock at two. Fires from deep. That’s good from Curry on the assist by Horford. And now a 12-point Warrior lead. McCullum. Pass to Kisser. Here’s Champenny. Butler covering up it in the layup. Collins got 14 points now in the second half. Well, easy money, right? I like the strategy. Go inside, get a high percentage look. Now, Curry 26 points for him from deep three-point lands. Desperate grab this. Washington has got two of four threes to fall here in this third quarter. Pass to Champi. Now McCullum. He’s shooting free throws number four and five here. [Applause] They can’t get the first one. Baggley’s checked in for Washington. Cooper comes in for Kisper. Jonathan Kaminga, he’s checked in for the Warriors. He comes in for Pachimsky. Good on the second one. And so it’s Curry with it. He brings it up for the Warriors. And there’s the screen. Let’s go with a three. Rebounded by Champagne. Just terrible defense. I don’t know how he missed that shot for three. McCullum. Jimmy Butler with a rebound. Butler’s got six rebounds in the game. We’ve got 113 left to play in the third quarter. From deep. Knocks down the long jade. Payton’s got four points in the quarter. They are unconscious from outside and so far the defense has had no answer. Well, that’s the whole point, isn’t it? If you space the floor well enough, it’s almost impossible for the defense to account for everyone. For three, McCullum gets rebounded by Golden State. Butler’s got his seventh rebound here tonight. Kaminga finds Curry on the wing. Curry outside. Kaminga pass to heel. And the Warriors with another three. If you’ve got a shooter like heel on your team, any opportunity to deliver the basketball is a good time. About 3 seconds between the shot clock and the game clock with it to the paint. Here’s Champi. Domingo pulls it in. Got to credit the defense. They found a way to stop him and that’s never an easy task. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors liking their chances, ending the quarter with a 15-point lead. They just can’t miss right now. Every shot they’re taking, you assume is going in. Back to the game after this break. [Music] And now we have a moment to reveal our State Farm assist of the game. And the winner today coming from an unlikely position is the big fell with the sweetest pass of the day. Well, we have some elite passing big men in the NBA. And you love that skill. Wow. And there have been two very different performances from these teams today as we get going in quarter number four. And so in the game for the Warriors, Curry and Heel with a sharp shooting back court. Jonathan Kaminga is out there with Harry Potter and it’s post in at the center position. Well, that possession to me highlights the importance of creating for your teammates. outside Curry. They set the pick. Puts up a deep three. It’s rebounded by Washington using his post moves to get the two points. The Warriors lead by 11. Curry with it. Now here’s Peyton defended by Kisser outside. Curry with the 10-footer and off the front iron and in it goes. Curry’s got 13 in the second half. You see the quickness of Stephen Curry keeping defenders off balance even in the painted area inside. [Music] That shot no good. Now here’s Heel guarding closely. First minute and a half of basketball play here in the fourth outside Curry. This is the jumper. Wizards trail by 13. Here’s Cooper. Pass to Bagley. And it’s good. through contact. Hit the shot and we’ll go to the line. throw good back. Warriors lead by 10 [Applause] outside Curry. Oh, Curry. What a tough finish. You’re not going to get stops against them unless you give an effort. The Wizards have gone three of four in the fourth and looking confident on offense. Haggley with it. Kuminga defends. Here’s Champagne. Oh, he gets it to fall and that makes it just a single digit deficit. Champy’s got himself going here. His first points of the game on the deep ball outside. Curry past the post and there’s the whistle. The illegal screen is the call. The screener was leaning a bit right there. His feet may not have been planted. Pretty obvious call by the officials. You know, he’s just leaning a little bit. You try to get away with it, but boy, the official all over it. The Jimskis checked in for heel. Wizards trail by nine. Kisford outside. Here’s the three. The Jimky grabs the board. But Jimky’s got his sixth rebound on the night. Pass to Curry. Launches a three. It’s rebounded by Washington Kenny’s got his fifth rebound with this one. Here’s Cooper. Now Bagley and the ball out play. Warriors will have it. The Wizards making a switch here. Middleton’s checked in. [Applause] The Warriors lead by nine. Pass the post. This one for three. Sends it home from three-point land. Now, you have to extend that defense. I mean, you really have to stay connected to him at all times. Well, you know this. This is a guy who’s looking for his shot the whole time. You have to know who you’re guarding. AYP know your personnel. Now here’s Middleton Washington again can’t hit back to Curry. Pass to Kimky outside. Payton down to five on the shot clock and Reed kicked it. Here’s Cooper with it. And here’s Middleton right at the free throw line. And the rebound goes to the Warriors. Payton’s got four rebounds now. Outside Curry. Back to Peyton. Pass the post. Here’s Kuminga. It’s Kavali with the rebound. He’s got his fifth rebound in this one. Now here’s Middleton. What a terrific move that is. Look how well he shoots it. You can’t forget Middleton is 67. That size and high release point helps him close in. Now here’s Kachki. Outside Curry has the post and it’s good. Assisting on the play was Curry. Curry’s got five assists tonight. Excellent tempo on the play and he leads his teammate perfectly. Outside Bagley now Koulali defended by Pachimski. Middleton passes to Bagley. It’s Middleton on the wing on a chance there to cut it to single digits, but it’s off target and he loss it up to the rim. Stolen by Middleton going all the way to the rack and count the basket. He was fouled and he’s going to the line for one more. So for the Wizards, Sars checked in for Bagley. George comes in for Kiss and it’s CJ McCullum in for Kulabali or he’s checked in for the Warriors. Butler comes in for Peyton. The Warriors lead by nine. Warford outside pass to Curry outside. Kaminga from outside off the mark and he almost made them regret defending him so loosely. McCullum with it now guarded by Buck. McCullum shot is off and so it’s Butler who brings up the ball for the Warriors. So it’ll be two free throws. He was fouled in the after shooting. He simply stated Jimmy Butler is a winner and a game changer. This guy will compete on both ends of the floor. Gives you everything he has. That’s good from Butler. And the Warriors making a switch here. Green has checked in. It’s both from the stripe. The Wizards trail by 11. Now here’s Middleton. George left side to the inside and it’s McCullum that time on the assist by George. George has got his fourth assist in this one. The Warriors have gone four for 10 in the fourth. Outside Butler. Back to Curry. Curry at the rim. And the defense has no one to blame but themselves. They just let him get right to the rim. To me, this has simply stated been a complete lack of defensive attention and focus all night long. Pass to Middleton. There’s the triple. nails it from beyond the arc. As good as anyone on the catch and shoot. Middleton deposits another chance outside. Kachvki Butler against Middleton from downtown. It’s rebounded by George. George has got his sixth rebound. Pass to Carrington inside and he jams it after taking a nice feed on the run. What an excellent post entry pass. Good things happen when you make that next look. Curry passes to Orford outside Kachki. Here’s Curry for three. Sinks the tray. Curry’s got 35. Defensively, you can’t afford to get stuck on the pick. You know exactly what that takes. It takes energy. It takes activity. It takes intensity. Now, here’s McCullum. Majinsky grabs the board. Majinski’s got rebound number seven tonight. Green. The pass to Horford. And here’s Butler outside. Good. And it’s Horford who picks up the assist. And now it’s a 12-point Warrior lead. Well, you can see that the ability for Jimmy Butler to put it on the deck will keep your defender off balance. That opens up the space for his three-point shot. Here’s Carrington. [Music] Now McColl pass to George. He hits it just before the shot clock expires. The Warriors lead by 10. Outside Curry. It’s tipped with it. Estasar. Rebounded by Butler. Golden State is gone. Three of seven from the perimeter during the fourth. And it’s Green missing for the Wizards. This one not looking good. Here’s S. Oh, beautiful feed leads to a monster jam. You know, at the offensive end, McCullum does a little of everything for you. I mean, that was a great pass for the 12. Sounds good. Curry. Curry’s got 11 points in the corner. And this is what we’ve come to expect from this guy, right? Not only making a ton of shots, but being efficient while doing so. Astasaur shoots over Horford and again it’s Washington converting. Warriors lead by eight. Now here’s Curry. Back to Budler. Oh, Budler getting aggressive. Can Mr. Curry shoot the basketball? No doubt. But he’s also a very willing and capable passer. down low here. Sar is rebounded by Golden State. Warford’s got six rebounds in the game. Curry passes to Warford. Now Bubbler, it off. And now a 12-point Warrior lead. And they had an advantage tonight. Came out sharp and did what was needed. Nice win here for the Warriors. It was stop and go for them along the way, but they finally seized full control of this game. NBA the scoreboard definitely doesn’t tell the whole story. They were able to pull things together when things got tough. And of course, they closed strong. And of all the highlights and performances we’ve seen here tonight, the one thing that stands out is what an unbelievable night it’s been for Stephen Curry. Efficient productivity. You love what this guy has given to you on the offensive end. Now here’s Curry. There’s 48 seconds left to play in the fourth. This is in close to Carrington to the paint. Let it fly. rebounded by Green. And so it’s Green who brings up the ball for the Warriors, leading by 12. Here’s Middleton. Rebounded by Green.
