Well, while a win would've been preferable, I really can't complain about leaving Dallas with a point. And walking out of that road trip with 5 of 6 possible points is huge for us. Outside of the shootout, I think we played a pretty damn solid game.

Now the boys are back in town for a 5 game home stretch, starting with the Anaheim Ducks. This is our second and final meeting with them this season, and our boys should be hungry for some revenge after that 4-3 loss on October 14th. Anaheim comes into tonight sitting #1 in the Pacific Division and are riding high after scoring 11 goals in their last two games.

As for the Pens, the OT struggles are becoming a problem. We're 0/4 this year in shootouts, and have won only 1/7 games that have gone into OT. Those lost points are starting to add up, and had we won even half of those, we would be #2 in the division instead of #4. With 33% of the season over, we’re on pace to miss out on 18 points in OT at this rate. However, there’s a lot of hockey left to play and anything can happen in that time. Let’s just hope we can shake it up and start winning some of them.

  1. 5 of 6 points on a road trip, especially one in Tampa, is absolutely wild.

I’m enjoying these Penguins, even if it doesn’t last.
