  1. One of the best DCs in the league. I feel like Dennard has done pretty well with this unit, so I’m conflicted.

  2. I would welcome the move, big question is still who would be responsible for our offense

  3. HC for a 2-14 Lions team… someone tell me that organization and not the HC hire is responsible for that…McCoy did about the same with the Chargers

  4. HC – Tomlin
Defensive Advisor + Asst. HC Schwartz
    DC – Wilson –
    OL – Munchak
    ST – Bones
    OC/Asst. Head Coach – Art

Can’t blame a guy for wishing!!!

Imagine Art with Chig and Helm

  5. You’re good?
Any of us who are fans of this team aren’t good. I will welcome anything new. You never know when something will be the right fit. Can’t be much worse than the last few years

  6. Browns blow it up and we get him as DC with McCarthy as HC and Bones at Special Teams

  7. Makes sense, Jim got his start with the organization in 2001 as DC, so the ties are probably very strong

  8. Somehow in the next 5-10 years, he will be some type of assistant coach for the titans again I swear. But he’s been the one guy who’s been in Nashville with his hands on the titans’ defense for EVERY ONE OF OUR BEST SEASONS (1999-2008 and 2021).

I would prefer he’s not the next option for head coach but honestly, he’s got experience, he builds cultures, his defenses are always the best in the league, he’s the one of the few coaches that actually went to the playoffs for the lions, and he’s coached at a very high level here.

But imagine him being the leading voice of the team, his defense (he always has an all pro DT) paired up with Jeffery Simmons again, keeping Bones and Wilson. Maintaining the special teams culture building and allowinf Dennard Wilson the chance to make a name for himself as a DC with NFL caliber young talent. An opportunity that frankly, he has earned at this point.

Now imagine this, what if Borgonzi forces a (hopefully good) playcalling OC hire in this scenario, and ownership is happy and lets some competent, experienced dudes build up this franchise collectively around young talent, Cam Ward, a lot of draft picks and cap space, and a new dome in Nashville with a happy owner?

There’s a path to this being the way. Not saying I’m rooting for it, wouldn’t be my top choice, but they have to at least consider him on the list.

  9. Weren’t there rumors that he was pretty abusive to his staff during his tenure here, or am I thinking of someone else?
