NHL Highlights | Kings vs. Mammoth – December 8, 2025
with Hall of Famers Patrice Berseron and Brad Marsha and saying Buffalo. That was that play they would like to call off the opening face off. Got to be on the same page tonight. Yeah. and and every team really to be fair is going through that uh at different stages considering the condensed schedule with the trying to make a move there on Jack McBain right back towards the front and that’s cleared away and out of the zone great effort Nate Schmidt Gunther out high and Serge with it Keller Gunther one-time and a stop by Keer Baron Hatton will play it in behind the net but taken away now. Kirk Pony going after it and the penalty is over. So Baldo is out and Kings clear it and a shot in front. Oh, and boot again there Darcy Keer. No score early tonight in Salt Lake City. Um humbling and uh embarrassing really. Gunther in the front right there was Denil boot and seriously it he is all around it. the other way. Kempe and he scores and Adrien Kemp has made it one- nothing Kings. Well, opportunity at one end leads to one at the other. Work this puck up the ice, but then back it came and what a nifty move from Kempe as he fakes like he’s going to go across to his left and then just a quick cut back Nick to the right that fools Carella. And you had both Nate Schmidt and Shawn Dery taking away a possible forehand move. So sometimes a goalender can recognize that at the defense. You talk about energy too, Dom. And Nick, this is the man in the line, right? It’s uh Krauss, Carone, McBain, they’ve provided a big energy when it’s needed. They have absolutely been the most consistent. Look out here. Yeah. Goes back in and Aria scores. Joel Arma and it’s two nothing Los Angeles. See Arma takes off and Marino and Serge have are caught puck staring at the puck and a beautiful stretch pass onto the stick of Arma who beats Carell Vamela for a twogoal lead. Vamela ends up getting about 70% of this puck. Looks like it ramped off the top of his head. Kopitar. Well, Kopitar right back to the front and stopped there. Right pad save. A beauty by Malca. Outstanding save but again a little too loose. Look out. Tam is in and he scores. Brandon Tan. Huge goal here in the opening period. by coming back and getting his first goal as a Utah Mammoth and first goal of the season. And it comes as a critical time as he steals some momentum back for his team. Well, it was the leg kick right there. That’s what completely sold Darcy Keer on the shot. Hilarious challenging, but it was offside prior to the goal. Wow. But but I mean, what a move nonetheless. And at the last second is when the puck went on edge and aided Brandon Tanv’s ability to put that puck up into the attic of the net. Well, if it stands, it’ll be his first in 40 games dating back to last March. Yeah, looks pretty clear to be offside unfortunately for Tanv and for the Mammoth [Applause] as again the reminder that that puck has to cross the line for the player and these officials will review it and remember it’s a penalty to the Kings if they challenge and are wrong. So onus on them that they’re sure. West McCaulay. After reviewing the play, it was determined that the play was offside. Therefore, the call on the ice is on the turn. We got no goal. 855 on the clock. Keller tried to get it into the middle. Taken away by Brent Clark. That’s Jack McD back. Edmonson shoots. Knocked away by Mamela. Matt, soak it up, buddy. All right. So, the bad news they’re down two goals after one the Utah Mammoth. The good news though at home they’re 3-1 and one trailing after. Well, I’m going to try to put a positive spin on it. The other positive sign 67 Lawson Krauss. He’s back on the bench and ready to go as the power play continues for another 20 seconds. Carryover time. Sergeev now looking to get it towards the front. Now Sergachev thinking about it. Might have a look here. Back out high. Gunther scores. Power play goal. Oh, what a lift. Dylan Gunther. And the shot is back. [Applause] Matt McConnell goal call. And who else but Dylan Gunther to give it to us. But it’s the onetouch passing in the pass from Clayton Keller. On the stick, off the stick. No hesitation. One-time from Gunther Bar down. Watch the front of the net. A quicky Anderson. And now Fiala for Kopitar. William O’Brien all over him. You’ll see big hit O’Brien that time on Drew Dy. They’re level here. Nick. Seven hits in Calgary for Liam O’Brien as he lays out. Stenley. He shoots. He’s in a line. Out high. Dery. He’s got a look. Hit the post. It got behind Keer and it stays out. Have been on the march in this second period. As we take a look at our Verizon reliable performance, Neri. And now let’s go get two points. Right. Yeah. Get two points. Down one, Utah. What a second period. They get the power play goal from Dylan Gunther. A turnover here. Lefer bring it in. Dropped it. Kopitar out high and to the front. Oh, and a rebound. They score. Good hold. Kempe was involved. Kopitar as well. And it’s 3-1. Zone. You see Marino right side of your screen. He’s all the way up at the blue line and there’s nobody home in front as the Kings quickly get it down to the net. They aren’t able to deflect the first one in but it’s right back onto the stick of an Kopitar. There’s Marino top of the screen and the Kings beat the Mammoth back to the net for the goal off of Kemp’s left skate and then as wasn’t quite as intimidating physically in behind the net to the front Kopitar and he’s stopped by Vana right on Q had a chance to be in Lublana about 35 miles south of his hometown a couple of summers ago was incredible here’s a chance Baron Hayden is robbed. Here comes Sergeev. Holds the puck. Payton pops out. Payton just not able to goes across and Keller will play it. Maybe a threeon two if Utah hurries. Keller with speed. Keller jersey shoots. Stopped that time. Big save. Keer caught it with the left half. Bite into that lead. They’re down by two here in the third [Applause] and out of the zone and all the way back. Maverick Lamaroo and Purka. Schmaltz has it to the middle. Backhand score. The captain Clayton Keller. Oh, what a beauty. It’s a onegoal game. Watch this play from Purka. Has about.5 seconds to make an incredible play under serious pressure at the blue line. And then Keller with the back hand back against the grain. And the Mammoth are no pun intended. Played right back. Lefari shoots and a big save. Carell Melka. [Applause] [Music] Stenland on the draw. They win control. Dury’s got it. Shawn Dery down low. Purka. And now Keller holding on to it. And Stellin fan on it. Had a great look. Turn the other way towards the empty net and it goes in. [Music] Stenland trying to post up in the slot. Still nobody that went to the net. The key here is when nobody goes to the net, it forces it doesn’t force the Kings to shrink to the middle and so they’re all able to m try to send to the front. It’s denied and forced out by Anderson and that’s going to do it. So the Los Angeles Kings come to the Wasatch front. They get their 14th victory of the season and 10th road victory. [Music]
Adrian Kempe, Joel Armia and Kevin Fiala all recorded two points while Darcy Kuemper made 19 saves as the Los Angeles Kings beat the Utah Mammoth 4-2.

GKG!!!
Kings you're spoiling me 2 wins with more than 2 goals. Go Kings Go!
3:39 both that ref and Tanev should have been aware of that obvious offsides. It is rare when the one getting the pass is that offsides on their own.
Nice win for the Kings, but the Mammoth are tough & that was a wicked backhand goal by Keller
