Nick Sirianni On Loss to Los Angeles Chargers
Nick, after a game like that, what sticks out to you is maybe the main reason you weren’t able to come away with the win. Yeah, you know, I think uh you know, that one that one stinks. That one stinks. Um you know, I think at the end of the day, you know, we had some turnovers in this game uh uncharacteristic of ourselves and uh you know, at the end and we every time it’s going to come down to coaching well enough and executing well enough. I thought the defense did a lot of good things. Um, I thought the offense moved the ball on a really good defense, but you know, we didn’t finish. Um, kicked a lot of field goals, um, and had some turnovers. So, um, hard to beat a team on the road, uh, when when you’re not when you’re not finishing drives and getting three points. Um, and I got to take that on myself. Um, there was the the sequence at the end of the game there, I think it was prior to the morning where you threw it twice, one to AJ, one to Monte. Why throw there as opposed to run it? Did you try to Yeah, they had some heavy boxes right there. Um I think uh you saw us get down in there with a heavy box with a slant route to AJ. Um and you know we weren’t at that time they were we were kind of bleeding one or two yards in there because of the some of the pressures that they were bringing. I thought that was our best plan of attack. It didn’t work. So you got to put that on me. Um anytime uh you know we don’t come out here with a win or something like that happens I’ll always take that I’ll always take that blame. Final interception. What did you see? um make they made him a really good play. Um they made a really good play. They did a good job of matching it. Um corner did a really good job of getting his hand on it and uh and Jefferson did a good job finishing it. Um so hats off to them. Made a good play right there. Um you know, obviously you think back at it, you know, and then I think to myself, you know, how do I how do I do better uh with with that? Kevin and I are going to be very critical of ourselves. I know Jay will be critical of himself as well. Um but hats off to him. That was a pretty good play they made. First and goal from the two would typically be sort of pushing until you get in. Not always. Okay. I I don’t know. I don’t know how many times we’ve run that on the two. Work as much this year as it has in the past. Do you still have the same level of confidence in that as you have? Uh yeah. Yeah, cuz we’ve still succeeded at that. I know we the last couple games we haven’t, but you know, obviously we got the big play off of, you know, the touch push today with the pitch to Saquon on on third and one. Um, you know, the ball on the two, uh, you don’t really think we don’t think into that as much. Uh, not to get too much into that. Um, would like to have been a little more successful on that on that first down play and then we had the hold that put us behind the sticks. That one hurt. Uh, you know, that one hurt that we were only able to to get three points out of that. You know, we’ve been pretty good in the red zone and and um, you know, they stopped us there. Um, so, um, yeah, again, got to got to do a better job as coaches, uh, to put them in positions to succeed and then we got to go execute. So, always comes down to that and I’ll put that on me. Yeah, obviously this game is the ultimate team game. So, it’s it’s never, you know, it’s never just on one person. And now ultimately he always has the ball in his hands and I know he’ll he’ll wear a lot of that and and own that and and I got to do a better job of of helping him um in those scenarios. Again, it’s always it’s never just on execution, right? Um it’s it’s always we look at ourselves as coaches first. Do we help them be in position to succeed and and then execute, right? So obviously never want to turn the ball over. Um we’ve been pretty good at that and tonight was a little uncharacteristic of ourselves. on the first play of the game. Had the one interception went off his hands. Jaylen tonight because of a drop. No. No. You know AJ that’s that’s again some uncharacteristic stuff. I don’t know if AJ’s had a drop in the last two years. You know, just had an uncharacteristic one today. Uh you know, I don’t know if how many the stat sheet said he had, but you know, the long characteristic there. Um, again, that’s why I’m saying it’s it’s an ultimate team game and you win together, you lose together, and you pick yourselves up together and lock arms and and and try to get back at get back at it. The the emotion from day to day, from the outside, three straight losses offense. What are you seeing that has you optimistic that this is going to turn around? Yeah, the people that we have, uh, the people we have in there. Um, won a lot of football games right now. We we’ve lost three in a row. Um, so you know, again, I saw great great week of preparation. Um, and I I’m confident in the coaches that we have, the players that we have, the owner that we have, the front office that we have that we’re built to overcome. And uh, we know how to do that. And again, but it’s going to start with the week of uh, you know, this week uh, getting back late tonight or whatever tomorrow and uh, get back at it, right? And so you can we’ll drag ourselves through the mud on the playing ride home. Look forward to watching the tape, see what we need to fix, and then you you don’t have a lot of time to feel sorry for yourself. Um you got to have that same confidence, that same joy that you come in every single day. Um and I’m looking forward to getting back to work. There was a report that you were more involved with the offense this week. A what did that look like and be, you know, with another game without struggle? Do you anticipate being more involved? Yeah, you know, again, um you know, I’m the head coach, so my attention goes to places that I I feel like it needs to go. Um this week was with the offense, and I’ll continue to to go in there with those guys and, you know, grind it out through the weeds with them, um and continue to move forward with that. I thought we did again I thought we moved the ball and did a lot of good things uh today but you know again we didn’t finish uh drives and when and when we didn’t um for for multiple reasons and had some turnovers for multiple reasons. So, um, yeah, you you you always look to improve the process and and we’ll we’ll get back to work and grind out through through it again. And yeah, I anticipate being in there still. That last throw was pushing through gold situation once you I’m sorry, that last throw was pushing kind of into a goal to go situation once you got into their side of the field in overtime. How much were you weighs to kick high or Yeah. Um, you play you play to win. Um, I won’t get into exactly what uh obviously I thought about all that as before overtime even started. Um, you know, I’ve thought about that and that, you know, um, you prepare yourself before so you don’t do anything in the moment, but always going to play to win. Um, win football games. There are situations, you know, late in the season where you may play differently, but um, always was going to play to win. Um, like I said though, I won’t get into specifics there. I just don’t think that’s that’s good for business. Are responsibility changes on the table or is the plan to stay the course? I’m sorry. Are personnel or responsibility changes on the table or is the plan? Yeah, we’ll stay we’ll stay the course. We’ll just keep grinding it out um and get ourselves out of this this little hole that we’re in. Last month, as far as the turnovers been uncharacteristic, some characteristic had five of them, but you had two last week and two week before. Are you seeing sloppiness come through? Are are you being more aggressive? How do you frame this increase after that run? Yeah, a lot of a lot of different reasons. We know we know how important it is for us to to uh we know good things happen when we win a turnover battle. So, you know, we’ll we’ll be hard and critical on ourselves throughout that. I I’ll be, you know, critical on myself and and then looking to, you know, um correct everybody else uh there as well. It’s my job obviously as head coach. Um, but yeah, uh, anytime, you know, any turn, we we we beat ourselves up over any turnover because we know how successful we’ve been, uh, when we do win that turnover battle. All right, thanks everybody.

Offense is predictable. How many safety blitzes on 1st and 10 bc they know we will run the ball. Every drive damn near starts 2nd and 11 or more. I can recall seeing multiple pass plays where the routes were stopping routes with the wr just standing there. No creativity.
Word salad is stale from last week. Hope he and KP get sacked.
Yeah AJ absolutely sucks
Nick Suckianni, can't wait to watch the assistant coach's interviews with Kevin Penustullo this week. Hopefully someone asks why no 3 tush pushes in a row when 1st and goal at the 1 1/2 yard line. Instead, running a right handed quarterback on a designed sweep left pass play throwing against the grain. And, Saquon ran off left tackle 3 times for 82 yards. Why all other carries straight up the middle?
So you go most where we need help for the week. I guess you'll be working with Jake Elliot everyday then. Good thing you let Dicker the Kicker (best make % in NFL history) go and kept Elliot instead.
lmao imagine paying that much money to watch ur team live and they lose lmao
this guy is a bozo
Basic defense ran into a top 5 passing defense and we are surprised that there were 4INT? Every defense in the NFL has our playbook.
before half at the LA 2yrd line philly chooses to pass gets a holding call and kills the drive. We are a running team, I mean Jalen is 1-5 this season when he throws 30+ times a game. Multiple times we should have ran and Jalen instead threw the ball to the other team. Hes looking like a massive dead cap hit.
Just stfu Eagles media we’re not making the playoffs and we’re going to let the Cowboys win the division this season so fck you Eagles I’m done
Cj Gardner wink on the offense. Predictable…. awful collectively
Can’t blame coaching when ur qb turn the ball 5+ times
Anyone who thinks that this team is going anywhere should get off the drugs, between the coaches/ and QB PLAY….. THIS TEAM IS DOOMED…. WAY TO GO AJ/ BARKLEY AND DEFENSE….WELL DONE ✅
Are u gonna evaluate??
Rain, sleet or snow, eagles will lose that ho*!!!😂
EVERY WEEK IS THE SAME THING. THERE IS NO CHANGES JUST LIP SERVICE. 😡😡😡

Nick seems tired tbh
Funny how Hurts can stay. The loss is on him alone.Eagles fans don't even watch or understand the game.Hurts is a stiff. On him alone.
I need Jalen to see the field
Smh I see why KP don’t call what he want to call because Jalen can’t see the field when came out doing mositions and all and Jalen throws 2 pick KP said yea let’s back to the basics just run slants smh that last pick Jalen 88 right in his face open why force the pass on a game winning drive
Exactly this season is over this team is falling apart
The fact that this🥷 won a Super Bowl is embarrassing for the rest of the league. High school offense bailed by high end talent
