Some impressive plays from Cam Ward this past Sunday

  1. He hasn’t had the results for most of the year. But then you take a second to look around the league instead of hyper-focusing on every Cam Ward throw and you see Mahomes, Hurts, and Herbert completing less than 50% of their passes with multiple interceptions. And you realize that, holy smokes all QBs miss throws. All of them have bad games. And yet I haven’t seen a Ward game yet where he by himself loses the game. Probably the second half fumble against the Pats was one of the biggest back breakers, but i digress. Some teams just have better players and the ability to overcome mistakes with complementary football (honestly like what the Titans showed for once Sunday).

I haven’t seen what I need to be able to say that 100% yes, Cam is Him, even though I believe he can be. The plays and throws he is capable of are really special. I also haven’t seen what half this sub sees when they want to call him a bust. All we can do is hope Borgonzi is up to the task of getting him the right staff and the right players…it’s really that simple.

Edit: Just wanted to add I disagree with this guy’s comment that he’s been “outstanding”. But It’s also a situation where you have to watch the film, because if you go by box scores he’s been objectively bad. The plays are there and there’s been a lot of production left on the field from the overall dysfunction of the offense.

  2. I feel like it’s a roulette wheel where the options are dropped pass, bad throw, horrible OL play, competent NFL level play. It’s a rotating cast of whose fault it is on any given play.

Not to mention the HC calling timeouts causing your 3rd down conversion to fail. Like any given play feels like it has a 50/50 shot for a drive killing mistake.
