Besides re-signing Schwarber (Thank the lord we got it done,) what other moves would you like to see?

  1. Actual right-handed power behind Harper, not the ghosts of Castellanos or JT Realmuto. It’ll never happen, but Alonso on paper makes a ton of sense.

  2. Right handed OF bat. A starting pitcher. Bullpen depth. I wouldn’t mind a trade upgrading Bohm, Stott or Casty, but that’d be tough.

  3. Depends how much further over the tax Middleton wants to go lol

But at least resign JT and grab either Fairbanks or Tyler Rogers. Creative trade to improve the offense in the outfield.

  4. I want Bader back. I know that’s pretty unlikely, but I still want him in the clubhouse. Dude was a vibe late last season. Beyond that, move Casty and shore up 1B by, like others have said, moving Harp back to RF and signing Bregman. And if we can get Bellinger at 3rd, I think we’re set on that front. On the mound, I’d like them to be able to keep Ranger, clearly, and for fuck’s sake, let’s get some bullpen help.

  5. They need a righty that can hit with power and show a modicum of plate discipline. They need to re-sign JT. Casty hopefully traded but if not, released. Would love to see Bohm traded and Bregman signed but that’s lower on the list.

  6. I’m still camped out in the middle of broad and mckean until they resign Ranger

  7. Ranger is my favorite Phillie right now and I know it’s not likely but I would love for him to stay with us

  8. Thank the Lord???????? For what?????? A 33 year old (by the time the 2026 season starts) DH who hits .230 on his career IS NOT WORTH $30 MILLION a year.

The fact that he also didn’t produce in the playoffs is an indicator that the Phillies should just move on from an aging power hitter and allocate that money for securing a better starting rotation. Wheeler turns 36 in May and is obviously showing signs of age… Nola turns 33 in June and hasn’t produced like a number 2 starter should.

I like the guy as a person but no one should agree that this contract is smart. Too much money, too little production for a guy who will be 38 years old in 5 years.

Same goes with the monster contracts that Turner and Harper have. Now, between 3 players you have almost $100 million per season and still no trophy? Dombrowski has no idea what he’s doing.

  9. Pick up Adley Rutchman, a right handed bat for outfield, and Contact hitting 3b under 30 years old. Bader for vibes alone. Maybe Resign ranger. Drop Casty, Bohm, JT.

  10. resign Realmuto and Bader sign Tatsuya Imai and Kazuma Okamoto trade Bohm Rojas Painter and another prospect to Minnesota for Buxton ship Stott Aiden Miller Otto Kemp and prospects for Ketel Marte. I know its impossible but f*ck it try and get some kind of reliever for Casti.

  11. Considering we have an aging team with a fading window, I’d like to see them make some “win now” moves. I feel like this core has 2-3 years to get it done.

So what does that look like? OF remains a priority. We have the worst offensive outfield in the MLB right now. That needs to be addressed via trade or free agency.

Upgrading 3b would be amazing. There’s a few obvious names out there but who knows if we can get them. This one is easier said than done. But maybe Dom can pull something off.

Clearly the C needs to be addressed. JT remains the most obvious way.

Ranger back would be nice. But I’d rather focus on the offense first. We could look to add depth to the back end rotation if we don’t sign Ranger. There’s many options for that.

And I’m afraid that’s it folks. If we don’t do the above, we’ll be leaving our season to chance. We won’t be better than LA, so we’re relying on luck to beat them in a short playoff series. If we even make it to that. If we do the moves I say, we still won’t be better than LA. But our odds would be better.

    Either way, it’s not ideal.

  12. The real off-season for the Phillies starts now. It’s not about who you bring back, it’s who you bring in. They still have multiple positions they need to figure plus they need another starter and maybe another reliever.
